Rude promotors and pricey, no wonder the place was empty. They basically attacked me and my friend, blocked the exit and agressively forced us to buy a drink there just because my friend used the toilet "you think this is a public toilet!?!! You have to buy a drink". We came cause we wanted to stay, not just for the toilet, but the place was so empty we were basically the only two guests. We bought the drink and left the place empty. They show the same arrogance and narcissism in person as they do in replying to negative reviews on here. No further point needs to be done, by checking them you might reconsider in what atmosphere you want to party. PS I'm very satisfied with my masters degree and more or less with every club I visited since they know how to show basic respect towards their customers. The experience was bad enough to earn my first review here. You just insulted my educational status and my happiness in a review reply while you don't even know me. How unprofessional can one be? Hope you leave the reply so everyone can see it. I won't continue with this, Portugal was an amazing experience overall and I really hope the tourists won't generalise on Portugese people based on your disgraceful behaviour.

El club podría tener un poco más de calidad si me lleva a mi como dj... El local es muy pequeño, trabaje allí en varias ocasiones cuando era de mis amigos Jorge y Arthur y ellos daban mucha mucha alegría al bar .. Ahora no puedo decir como es el bar pero si se como son los propietarios .. Son unos arrogantes y se creen que tienen pacha albufeira y solo es un bar de 10 Metros cuadrados.

The small place for nonsmokers is like a lane in the swimming pool where you cannot pi. And nobody cares btw. Only house music and only one drink included. Mostly matured guys. Half naked men also don't impress me much enough.

Es un bar pequeño, con poco ambiente, casi todo gente de 40 para arriba. Lo único bueno es que la terraza es agradable. Para tomarte algo rápido e irte a otro lado.

Amazing bar! Was in Albufeira for 1 week and every night in Connection was so fun and busy! Staff is very friendly and fun also! Good music and cocktails. Thanks guys (loved the terrace)

We entered the bar briefly with my two other friends to dance and at one point I used the toilet. As soon as I exited the bathroom the bartender turned extremely aggressive and said that I was now obliged to buy something from the bar. When my friend and I tried to leave two men barricaded the exit and proceeded to grab me when I tried to walk out. In the end, there was no escape and so I was pressured into buying a drink. It was a very threatening and scary experience us to go through as young women being confronted by two far older and physically stronger men - after buying the drink we left feeling deflated, violated and in shock. As far as customer relations go, this is an incredibly horrific and hostile way to treat customers, especially as the bartenders has no right to harass us. This in the end was a complete waste of time and money and a totally different experience to all the other fantastically welcoming clubs along the strip. Avoid at all cost... also really empty

Went there 3 or 4 nights on my recent holiday. Always empty and drinks no alcohol as soda water included doesn't seem to be busy on any day. And even tried to charge 10 euros to get in on Saturday night for members. E end though no other bar on the strip charges won't go again

The owners are brilliant, so friendly and welcoming. They even kept bringing our drinks to the dancefloor so we didn't have to wait at the bar whilst they made them. We visited very often during our holiday and always had a great night out! If you get the chance, you must check it out. Just look out for the pride flag as the club is on an upper floor on the strip.

Great place to enjoy. The owners welcome you with open arms and hearts. It is cozy. It is warm. The owners make you feel at home in the Connection Bar. I was there alone for all the four nights but I did not feel lonely at all because of the warmth and friendly hostility from the owners. Yes, I have to admit that bar is quiet on some nights but there's the music and the owners to keep you entertained. I am a gay and I am there to support. I do not care if I am alone in the bar every night. For some of the reviewers posted that the bar is quiet and dead I think it is just an unfair statement. It is our support as fellow gay men that this bar need. So kudos the Connection Bar for still standing. I will definitely be visiting this bar should I be in Albufeira for my next holidays. For now I will leave my heart and soul to the Connection Bar as my gift to you and wish this bar a great success in the future undertakings. Love Mo, Singapore

Absolutely loved this place, the owners are great and very welcoming! We ended up going again the next night for more partying :) it's upstairs along the strip so keep an eye out for the rainbow and the connection sign!

Já a muito que procurávamos um bar apropriado para homossexuais e finalmente encontramos fomos de Portimão até lá e adoramos , de certeza iremos voltar.

Editado: Péssimo!! Bebidas sem qualidade a preços absurdos para o efeito. Quando confrontados com o meu desagrado, ignoraram-me. Estou identificada, com nome e foto, faço o comentário do que achei do espaço, é para isso que isto serve. Nunca fui mal educada nem gritei e fica-lhe mal distorcer toda a realidade, como proprietário do local deveria levar em conta o desagrado dos clientes e tentar melhorar o que está errado.

Gerência nova mas o espaço é igual! Nada de novo! O Staff valoriza mais os estrangeiros que os portugueses! A música é um CD que toca toda a noite. As bebidas servidas tem pouco álcool, ouvi várias pessoas a queixarem se! Staff muito coça para dentro! Não dão nada a ninguém!

Bebidas sem álcool; quando pedido um pouco mais, colocaram literalmente uma gota de vodka. Se quisesse beber limonada ia a outro sítio.

Accueil très sympathique dans le seul bar gay d'Albufeira. Situé au premier étage, une terrasse vous permet d' "admirer" la foule qui marche sur le Strip.

Friendly staff. Drinks reasonably priced. Venue on the small / cosy side . Was quiet when we went on a Sunday evening in May. Music was typical pop dance type 'chart' music.

Local de ambiente gay situado en una calle extresante. Lo bueno que tiene es que está en un primer piso,alejado del tránsito de la gente. La atención y la música es buena. El ambiente es cutre,aunque te lo pasas bien.

Great place for a quiet, relaxed drink. Drinks are reasonably priced and the music is just as good - get ur ass down there!
