Alvor has a lot of nice restaurants but this one might be the one with the best atmosphere! Very family friendly and with a great variety of dishes!

Piège à touristes, la morue pourtant une spécialité était plus que sèche et plus que salé, les 4 qui ont été servi mais le mieux c'est la brochette de crevettes qui est servi dans une assiette, pas sous de brochette donc 5 crevettes avec un peu de poivron dans l'assiette et bien sûr pas donné

No está mal. Lo destacable fue el frio, mucho frio (abril 2019) y los refrescos a 3,75€ (desmesurado en comparación a otros sitios y otras consumiciones del mismo restaurante).

Really poor food and really expensive. We didn't eat more then 3 mouthful, no one asked us how are food was. We paid the bill and left within 40mins. Nice staff but shocking food

Dieses Restaurant verdient seine 5 Sterne, wirklich einladender Eingangsbereich.
Das Essen ist sehr lecker, der Kellner hat sogar am Tisch den Fisch entgrätet. Das Ambiente überzeugt, die Bedienung war von Anfang bis Ende sehr zuvorkommend.

Cadre et service et accueil sympas. Par contre la fraîcheur des plats n'est pas assurée. Notre saumon n'était pas mangeable ainsi que les crevettes.
Le prix est trop élevé par rapport aux plats. C'est un restaurant a touristes, je ne le conseille pas.

Just stopped for a drink but ended up staying. Sat at one of the two street tables, people watching. Had a very good meal and great wine and hadn't even booked although the place was packed. Result!

Really disappointing. Service was poor, we had to wait far too long to even get the menu. The food didn't taste very fresh and in relation to the quality of our meals it was far too expensive.

Possible one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten in...It came highly recommended to us from friends, we were greeted with a lovely glass of punk champagne, the food was outstanding I had the prawn cocktail for starters and it was one of the nicest I have ever had, I then had the monkfish wrapped in bacon words cannot describe how amazing it was, my sister had the salmon and it was absolutely delightful, our children had the chicken and it was beyond tender, my husband had the steak on the stone and he said it was so tender it was like butter, so all in all we all had a great experience and will be going back...5 stars all round and well worth a visit if your ever in Alvor...

Good atmosphere.
Wine was from an an open bottle (house wine), but tasted like cork.
Grilled steak should have been medium, was well done and dry.

Prix des plats à environ 15€. Ce qui est supérieur aux prix locaux. On pourrait donc s attendre à une meilleure qualité mais ce n est pas du tout le cas. La nourriture n est pas fine et je pense qu elle est congelée. Le lieu est bruyant quand il est plein. On est loin du romantisme ! Par contre le personnel est très sympa

Pour les touristes c est un resto attrape nigaud..prix qualité trop cher...crevette decongelee ..ne prenez pas la cataplan!!! Trop cher pour le plat!!
Vu le prix allez à Capacho qui est à 100m plus bas..(ps: allez voir mes commentaire).service 10x mieux et qualité prix plus raisonnable

Muy buen restaurante especializado en pescados y mariscos, con productos típicos de Portugal, desde el vino a los postres. La cataplana muy recomendable. Excelente atención al cliente.

Fantastic find in the middle of Alvor. Book ahead if you want a table in their garden room. We had the Seafood cataplana to share and it was absolutely superb. Service also great.

Sometimes we get surprised by a place. This restaurant is one of these places.
Food is simply amazing
I had ' arroz de marisco' and I can ensure it was the best one I had, even comparing with places that are known for it.
The restaurant itself is located in a old small winery well recovered, so it kept the original architecture.
Staff is always there and very efficient.
There is a menu for kids as well.
This is a must go place if you are near by Alvor.

Desde o atendimento à confecção dos pratos, e à qualidade dos produtos utilizados para, nada a apontar. Excelentes anfitriões com um óptimo espaço com comida fabulosa. O ambiente acolhedor, portanto recomendo e voltaremos. Até breve!

Super original cuisine to get the local taste.
We went there twice and ate the seafood cataplana
Which contains shells shrimps and a whole crab.
Super tasty.
Also had the lamb shank on the second visit. It was delicious as well.
Good place to eat literally anything they got on their menu.
They have 2 fire places in the dining room which keep it nice and warm in winter time.

Nous étions 8 et nous avons très bien mangé. Le restaurant était ouvert assez tard dans l'après-midi un lundi de Décembre, nous avons apprécié.

Das Restaurant ist sehr angenehm , gute Stimmung, viel los, wir hatten einen Schönen Abend im Garten, der in der Herbstzeit zu den Seiten und nach oben geschlossen wird, sodass es nicht zu frisch ist am Abend.! Das Essen dort ist sehr lecker,
Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam

I have eaten here many times over the years and have generally been happy with the food and service.
However, on 8th Oct I was served a T bone steak which I can honestly say was the worst steak I have ever paid for. For the price I would have expected a bigger steak and although it was cooked as requested to medium, the steak was of very poor quality and totally tasteless. I informed the waiter of my concern, (he declined the offer to taste the steak), he shrugged his shoulders and walked away with total disregard for my complaint.
I would assume that the steak was frozen at some stage, for a very long time! I left over half of the steak on the plate and left without leaving a tip.
I know I should have perused the matter with the management but I had arranged to meet with friends and needed to leave.
The next evening I ate a fantastic juicy and tasty steak at another restaurant on the same street for around 10 euros less than the tasteless offering at the Adega.
To sum up, zero customer service and very poor quality meat. I shall be reluctant to return.

Reconozco que entramos en este restaurante por lo bonito que es, los camareros a principio muy atentos las mariscadas que prometen no son de calidad la que a nosotros nos sirvieron estaba todo seco y además sin sabor Su precio muy caro para lo que nos sirvieron toda la intención de sus camareros era que consumieras mucho y así fue la cuenta fue desorbitada para lo mal que cenamos, Y encima no aceptaban tarjetas para pagar con lo cual tuvimos que deshacernos del efectivo

Hemos estado dos veces en estos días. La atención es impecable. La parrillada de marisco para dos personas es espectacular, tanto en cantidad como en calidad (no recomiendo pedir nada más porque ponen mucho). El arroz para dos también exquisito y también comen más de dos con él. Está en una calle muy bien situado y los postres son caseros. Para volver mil veces.

Marisco poderia ter mais qualidade. A sapateira muito fraca. O recheio da sapateira simplesmente mal feito. O camarão tigre, só de nome mesmo, pois o tamanho quase que não atingia esse patamar. O resto bom. Pelo preço que cobram deveriam ter um.nivel superior de produtos.

Lovely traditional restaurant at affordable prices. We were a large group of 16 (8 adults 8 kids). The staff were so accommodating and organised tables to make it a really enjoyable couple of hours. Not one complaint from any of our group even the kids.

Enjoyed this place enough for a second visit! Portions are good and fresh cooked and prepared before you! Wine waiter recommended a good medium red and it lived up to the expectations! Get there early as they book up fast so early evening meal at 7 or before is very worth the effort! Open terrace to the rear is highlighted in reviews and adds to the atmosphere!

We visited Adega d'Alvor, while on a visit to Alvor. We had been there 4yrs ago, and it was so nice we wanted to return. The menu has a great variety, the food is freshly prepared and beautiful. My daughter would recommend the king prawns, and my husband wanted me to mention the home made almond tart! Staff are helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

Adega d'Alvor is a fantastic restaurant, we sat in the outdoor area out the back which is nice and cool in hot summer evenings. The staff were very friendly and greeted us with two glasses of sparkling wine. We had our 8 month old daughter with us and the staff were very accommodating. I got the Algarvian fish soup to start and tiger prawns with stir fried rice for main course, both were delicious and I would get them again. My wife got the monkfish and prawns in tropical sauce, this was really good and my daughter even tried the monkfish and loved it.
Overall I would definitely return and would recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting Alvor.

MY wife and I loved the place. Verging on silver service so dress for the room. Still very relaxed and great for families though. Great food, beautiful wines and courteous and knowledgable staff. It was a delight to be able to eat there twice.

Comparez les prix par rapport à la France et vous en serez satisfaits où allez passez vos vacances dans le sud de la France et vous ne serez pas déçus pour votre portefeuille ni pour la qualité culinaire surtout pour les mois d'été

We walked past this restaurant many times and didn't venture in as we wanted a "lighter" lunch, but today we were there on an invite and it was fabulous. A great environment for a small lunch but also great for a big group. We were 16 and had pre-booked so the choice was small but the food excellent.
A lovely environment, inside the roof can be rolled back. Great service from a very good team
I had pork fillet and it was tender, juicy, perfectly cooked with a great selection of vegetables. My wife had salmon fillet (about twice as big as you would imagine) with lemon butter and veg. Very well cooked and very tasty.
These mains were served after the usual olives, carrots, tuna dip (home made & great tasting) & bread (wide selection) covers, also with great prawns and Aoli dip. A super tasty fish soup (no seafood for those with allergies) followed.
Dessert was served in the form of 5 typical algarvean sweets, all tasty and finished off with good coffee. Copious amounts of red or white house wine washed it all down.
For me the test is always "would I go again" and the answer for this restaurant is a strong yes. We can't wait to go and try out the regular menu.

Der Service war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, ebenso sehr freundlich und mit einem Lächeln. Wir waren Wiederholungstäter und werden wieder kommen! Vielen Dank!

Muito caro para a qualidade da comida servida foi nos sugerido a cataplana no restaurante e foi uma enorme desilusão as batatas tinham sido coZidas e colocadas na cataplana os 4 camarões que tinha sabiam a bafio e o resto do marisco devia vir de uma daquelas caixas que se compram nos super mercados basicamente horrível. Uma água de litro 3.10€ um ice tea 2.25€ e no final uma bela conta da 53€. Só dou duas estrelas pela simpatia e pela sobremesa um musse com noz e gelado de caramelo.

Super schönes Restaurant, top gestaltet. Auch das Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Immer gut besucht, also entweder früh da sein oder reservieren.
Abzüge gibt es für die aufdringlichen kellner die einem zum einen speisen an den tisch bringen die man nicht bestellt hat und zum anderen die bestellten gerichte gegen teurere austauschen. Wenn man dann reklamiert wird man ignoriert. Schade

Wat een top tent is dit! Nu 2 keer gegeten, eerste keer was in 2015. Toen ook zo netjes vriendelijk geholpen en erg goed gegeten. Nu 2 jaar later weer terug geweest. En ook deze keer weer ontzettend beleeft geholpen en niet geheel onbelangrijk echt voortreffelijk gegeten! Dit is een echte aanrader. Als je dit restaurant bezoekt? De Cataplana voor 2p is super en de sangria is ook een aanrader!

Bonne adresse. Bien que situé dans une rue hyper touristique d'Alvor, on y retrouve l'authenticité des restaurant portugais. Nous y avons pris un arroz de marisco, copieux et bien servi. Personnel au petit soin, adorable avec les enfants. Bon vin également

Comida sabrosa y de cantidad correcta . Tiene una terraza interior acogedora y fresquita un personal muy agradable pese a q la rapidez no sea una de sus virtudes. No es de lo mas economico del lugar

This place is not able to serve customers once it is get full on saturday night. We had to wait for an hour to get our main course and some starters have been merely forgotten. Having asked staff several times we got only false promises. No one appologized for such a poor service. I would strongly recommmend not to risk your evening and pick other great places for dinner.

Väldigt bra resturang med serviceinriktad och trevlig personal. Har även bra vegetariska allternativ men har främst skaldjur och fisk. Dem har en väldigt fin altan Som är perfekt om man vill sitta ute. Helt klart 5 stjärnor!

Been here a few times. Typical Portuguese restaurant but done very well. Good quality and service.
I don't think anyone would be disappointed here. Very busy in season but on occasion they've managed to squeeze out party in.

Em Junho não tivemos qualquer problema para ter mesa. Sentamo-nos e trouxeram as entradas. Pedimos sopa para bebé. Passado algum tempo trouxeram a sopa. Os pratos demoraram mais de 1 hora. Questionámos a demora. Naco na pedra e bacalhau no forno, 15.50€ e 13.50€ respectivamente. As quantidades deixam um bocado a desejar. No total, com entradas e vinho, sem sobremesas, sem café, 50.25€. Muito tempo de espera e preços excessivos. Achámos ainda que a prioridade não são os clientes portugueses, houve mesas com pessoas estrangeiras que chegaram depois e foram servidas primeiro do que nós. A não repetir.

Serviço muito demorado. Mais de uma hora a espera por um suposto naco que infelizmente parecia um medalhão.
Comida saborosa mas a não justificar o valor garantidamente. As duas estrelas são unicamente por terem feito uma ligeira atenção quando se aperceberam que o tempo tinha sido demasiado.

The food is superb and the prices are extremely reasonable. Friendly and helpful staff, great ambience. We have been holidaying in the Algarve for 14 years and this is honestly the best restaurant we have eaten in.

Beautifully presented and delicious food. Lovely staff and a really nice decor. There's an open courtyard inside that has a cover if the weather changes. On the pricier side but still good value for money. Octopus salad to start was great and the monkfish wrapped in bacon for the main.

Great restaurant, great staff, fast service and beautiful garden restaurant. Ordered the big fish platter and some smaller dishes, which were all amazing fresh quality and served up pretty quickly. Great service, smiling and helpful staff. Was here during the day when it's pretty calm, but in the evening it's the same quality, just more crowded. Would recommend making a reservation when eating here in the evening. During the day you can pretty much just walk in.
All in all, great experience with excellent food and wine for a more than reasonable price!

Excellent restaurant. Size is deceiving as only a small entrance but inside is huge. Food was excellent (ordered the Chateaubriand) and staff friendly. Reasonable prices too. Would recommend a visit if in Alvor.
