If you're looking to discover a different side to the Algarve, then this is the way to do it! Jim knows the best tracks around, and there's something available for all abilities.

I cannot recommend these guys enough. I did two seperate tours: the cliff top tour with my girlfriend and her parents and the summit to sea tour solo. I consider myself a (somewhat) advanced rider and had an absolutely great time on both rides. First of all the bikes are qaulity and the tour guides are top notch. My girlfriend's parents are beginner and really enjoyed the cliff top tour. It has a little bit of everything:single track, fun double track through Lagos countryside fun descents along the beach, and amazing views. The summit to sea descent is a ton of fun: technical, flowy, and breath taking views. If you like mountain biking, do yourself a favor and book with these guys, you won't be disappointed.

Jim has been running guided rides for years and it shows. The bikes are more than capable of being ridden hard, but also are great for beginners. Great routes and fun times for all abilities!

Was lucky to join a small group half day scenic tour with Mike. He explained all the highlights along the route. After checking our abilities he took us on a technical singletrack that was the highlight. Well serviced dual suspension bikes with Shimano parts. They also supply helmets if you need but I'd probably just being my own next time. Can't wait to go for another adventure in the future some day!

The Mountain Bike Adventure was brilliant! Jim was easy to work with and accommodated my 8 year old as well. I would highly recommend Jim’s services to anyone wanting to MTB or explore the area.

A most exceptional, mostly downhill tour of the varied landscapes just outside of Lagos. Beautiful single track and farm road riding through terraced farmland, past wind turbines, eucalyptus forest, cork plantations, and the urban landscape, right down to the water. The riding was more challenging than expected which is exactly what we were hoping for. We felt like we covered a lot of landscape, and certainly earned ourselves a beer at the beach side snack stand when we finished. Our guide was outstanding, and their support system along the way providing water and rest was on point. Highly recommend this trek for the mountain bike enthusiast and his less enthusiastic mountain biking wife ;)

We did the "summit to the sea" tour and it was great. Great guides and good bikes. Not suited for real beginners.

Very very professional and kind people. It's the second year we book a tour with them and both times it has been really great. The bikes were great for the tours we were doing. We had 3 excellent days with The Mountain Bike Adventure! Jim and is crew are passionate about what they do, and they do it in a respectful way toward nature and the locals. We did an Enduro day in Monchique, Coastal Ride and Summit to Sea. The sceneries are absolutly stunning, and there are trails for everyone. Thanks for the experience!!!

I participated in three rides in October and loved every single one. The bikes are great and the trails fabulous. I don't know which one was my favorite ride! The Summit to Sea ride was amazing. Loved the West Coast Trail ride. The Enduro shuttled trails were epic. Both Jim and Mike were great leads and it was a pleasure to ride with both. I hope to return again as I had no idea mountain biking in Portugal would be so fabulous.

Great guided rides from half day local trails to full down hill single track. Used The Mountain Bike Adventure for a number of years and is a slick operation that delivers a true trail ride experience. The posted rides of Summit to Sea and Super Coast need some basic bike experience and fitness but Jim and team adjust for all capabilities. If you love being on a mountain bike there is a ride for you.

Breites Angebot an Touren, von leicht bis anspruchsvoll. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Enjoyed my half day ride very much. Given that rental of a reasonable bike was included I thought the value was good. The ride itself was moderately paced and not technically difficult but the scenery was beautiful and the company good. I'd do it again for sure.

Jim is a wonderful guide and we had great fun for 3 days on the bikes. He also gave some knockout recommendations for restaurants and places to visit which made our trip really incredible!

Fantastic day with this company. I am an experienced rider while my wife hadn't ridden a bike in years. We both had fun as the guides were very supportive and knowledgable about the trains. Also they did a good job coaching on specifics of mountain biking techniques. After a while, my wife was able to just sit back and ride the rest in the truck. We both had a great day, highly recommend. We did the Monchique route.
