We planned on eating here as a birthday treat. However on checking out the place we got shouted at like some dumb idiots by one of the staff throwing away garbage for not being on the cycling lane opposite of the road. Thanks, just trying to check out the place for a reservation. I guess we will go somewhere else now.

Hands down best restaurant I’ve been to in Portugal for the atmosphere - very chill and relaxed chefs. Recommend sitting at the head counter if you can. I did the full €25 chef tasting menu and the dishes were slow to come out (spent about 2 hours at the restaurant), but they were good. Some stuff like salmon were better than others. 22 pieces doesn’t sound like a lot but it was a good amount of food! Staff service is a little slow but they’re so friendly and nice, it made up for it.

Coming from Hawaii where we have hundreds of sushi options this place was impressively delicious. Definitely was not disappointed in the sushi or other menu options. Great quality as well.

El sitio muy bonito y bien ambientado, la comida muy rica, y la atención muy bien, fuimos sin reservar y nos sentaron sin esperar apenas, lo recomiendo.

Sushi bem confecionado peixe fresquissimo , mas perde um pouco preço, e talvez melhorar alguma técnica e apresentação.

Good service and food. Not the cheapest, but they were generous with decent quality ingredients (lots of fresh fish). We spent around 60/70 euros (including service) for 2 people. This included sake and some liquor that was on the house :). We did not book, but the place was full by the end of the night.

La experiencia no fue nada buena.. Llegamos a la hora que habíamos reservado, a través de TripAdvisor, y no constaba la reserva. No fuimos los únicos, llego bastante con el mismo problema y algunos se tuvieron que marchar. El primero plato tardó casi una hora en llegar.. y teniendo en cuenta que era pescado crudo, las excusas no eran muy validas. Terminamos comiendo en dos horas largas y nos fuimos algo enfadados porque en ningún momento vimos gesto alguno de compensación. Aparte de esto, comida bien (normal), servicio agradable, instalaciones bien.

Preço demasiado exagerado para a qualidade! A qualidade é boa sim, mas acho que praticam preços um pouco exagerados. Atendimento demasiado lento... Menos para os amigos e conhecidos. Fazem uma diferenciação enorme entre conhecidos, amigos, clientes e pessoas que lá vão pela primeira vez, se calhar porque já têm os clientes fixos e não querem saber de clientes novos, não deixando de ser uma falta de respeito. Vieram ter connosco a apressar, porque a cozinha fechada às 23h, chegou um casal amigo com duas filhas eram 23h45, sentaram-se e foram servidos!!! Achei que a cozinha fechasse às 23h para o restaurante todo... Mas enganei-me, não há hora de fechar para amigos. Fiquei desiludida, esperava mais e melhor, e não me refiro à comida.

In one word: underwhelmed! The price is off charts (at the same level as "Sushi Design" in the 5-Star Farol Hotel in Cascais - and this is not Cascais). We ordered a Ginger and Lemon tea and received a Lipton tea bag for 3€. That would even be considered a rip off in Germany. Especially given that fresh ginger and lemons are cheap and available and the only reason for not using them is laziness. The beer was put carelessly on my left, the edamame were cold. Same goes for the entire place given that the door didn't close properly and wasn't fixed - in winter. Both waiters were texting on their phones while working, two bottles of cleaning agent were standing on the table close to the bar. Complete lack of professionalism. Kudos to the chefs though, they tried their best to provide decent sushi. Side comment: Every restaurant owner who serves Nespresso should ask himself, if he actually wants to serve good coffee - which there is plenty in Portugal - or if he would rather go for a marketing fad.

A qualidade não vale o preço e o atendimento é super lento. Sentámo-nos às 19h30 e só às 22h é que conseguimos pagar.

Top quality sushi, and that alone would be rated 5 stars. Slightly overpriced, but no question over the quality. Did a takeaway, service staff seemed very busy with only a couple of tables filled. They were missing some wine from their list.

One of the best sushi rolls I have ever had. We ordered some of the most expensive options, but it was totally worth it. Very cozy and quiet.

Muy regulero, mas de una hora de espera para un plato de sushi frio, un sushi muy soso, sin gracia el pescado del sushi de calidad pero la elaboración muy mejorable. No repetiremos. Muy caro para lo que es. No suelo dejar valoraciones de locales que no me gustan pero de este salí muy decepcionado y quiero evitarle la experiencia a otros usuarios.

Good fish quality served here. The rice used for sushi is not the right type of grain which meant it was too big and too sticky. Service was friendly but somewhat slow.

Wow. I never, ever would've expected to have the best sashimi and sushi in my life in Portugal of all places... After five years in Korea, and nine visits to Japan, including a very serious meal with a certain Mr. Maruyama and Travis Bingham at around US$300 pp, would I have expected to be blown away by a sushi restaurant in the Portuguese surf town of Baleal. But, it has happened. Me being me, I had to convey this to the waiter, who then introduced me to the head chef. He was from Mozambique, and had been exclusively preparing sashimi for 18 years. Inticed to move from Japanese restaurants in Lisbon, he came to this coastal town several years ago to what I understand was a happy decision. It's rare that you are emotionally moved by the food you are served, but this was one of those exceptional moments. Marco, the head chef, came and joined us at the table for a carafe of sake he proffered at around midnight after I'd made my appreciation of his craft known, along with a few exceptional treats he'd created to share with us, shown in the final photos. Tomorrow night, he invited us to come for a degustation at 8pm in the kitchen to enjoy the craft he has spent his career refining. I cannot wait to see what he proffers. Catarina and I discussed what makes such a simple thing as sliced, raw fish exceptional. Part of it is indeed the freshness of the fish being used, and 500m from the shore and the fishing boats is definitely a factor. But for those who revel in this particular fare, you know that it's not just freshness of the fish. In Busan, Korea, my friends and I would often go to the Gwangan fish market where you'd choose the live fish you'd eat, they'd cut it in front of you, then you'd carry it upstairs for a chef to prepare minutes later for your plate. But it never held a candle to Japanese sushi. This always mystified us. There's an art in the simple act of cutting. There must be, for we all remarked in Korea of how the sushi, or 'hwe', as it is known there, was not as good as in Japan. But this Mozambique man, in Portugal, has mastered that art.

La comida estaba muy buena, sin embargo, tuvimos que esperar 15 minutos (llamando la atención) a que nos atendieran para tomarnos nota y la camarera vino con mala cara. Una hora después esperando nos quejamos al que parecía el encargado y empezaron a llegar los platos. A falta de dos que tuvimos que recordar que trajeran. El que parecía el encargado muy atento y agradable, la chica hasta miraba el reloj cuando nos pidió los postres. Al final cenamos en 2 horas siendo 5 personas. Mejorable.

Siempre que vamos a Portugal venimos al menos un dia porque siempre nos han atendido muy bien. Esta vez quisimos invitar a nuestros amigos y nos llevamos un poco de decepción pues la atención fue mas bien mala, desagradable y se olvidaron de poner comida que habiamos pedido. If you were looking for a good sushi restaurant this is definitely not the right place to go ! We have been waiting 2h to bo served, and the sushi aren't even done with proper sushi rice... and we were still hungry afterwards (we have taken gyosas+the dishes) The waitress did not bother at all for the waiting time, and it was really expensive and disappointing. We came a little bit late the night before and we were told that it wasn't possible to get a table (where as the restaurant was empty !). Still, we decided to book for the next diner : you can guess how disappointing it is.

Sushi Fish is the place to eat! When in Peniche or Baleal, be sure to visit this wonderful place. Excellent food, great sushi chefs, and overall wonderful staff. If you happen to be Norwegian with knowledge of Brazilian music and artists, they might even give you carte blanche on the sound system!. Go! Go! Go!

O atendimento é excelente principalmente quando é feito pelo Gonçalo. A comida então é maravilhosa, preço à altura da qualidade +/- 20€/25€ por pessoa, depende muito do que se bebe e de quantas peças se come, mas para quem nunca comeu sushi aconselho vivamente começar pelo Sushi Fish, obrigada também aos chef's pelas inovações
