Paragem Obrigatória em S. Martinho do Porto. Desde o atendimento ao "manjar". Produtos frescos, confecção cuidada e sabor como uma boa casa de peixe e mariscos requer.
Mais não digo. Vale a pena a experiência. Vamos voltar. Convém reservar, sobretudo ao fim de semana.

Nova Caravela Restaurant served us a delicious fresh fish dinner with the best view over the bay of São Martinho do Porto.
The staff were extremely nice and gave us their best advice on our wine choice.
For dessert, I can tell you that the chocolate mousse or the Panna Cotta will make you skip that diet you've been so hard trying to follow.

Hidden gem in São Martinho. We passed by here while on a (rainy) bike ride. Staff was friendly enough to suggest putting our bikes in their garage. The food was amazing: fresh Garoupa and Percebes for appetizer. Recommended! It's best to make a reservation on sunny days. Try the lime mousse as sobremesa!

Don't go on Mondays.
Small elongated room at the docks, specializes on fresh seafood. They tried to sell me a 2-pound sea bass for lunch because that were the smallest they had. I went for the tuna steak instead which was a bit unenthusiastic. Service was good and attentative otherwise and the food decent enough, so I guess I should go again when they have a fish my size.

O Restaurante "Nova Caravela" em São Martinho do Porto é o local ideal para saborear o marisco local! Sempre peixe fresco bem confeccionado pelo Chef residente, muito bom atendimento, excelente carta de vinhos, vista espectacular para a baía de São Martinho! Deixo uma dica: deixem-se levar pela sugestão dos funcionários e bom apetite! :)

Very very good. A busy informal dining place. The staff are knowledgable and friendly. The fish is great and whole fish are served filleted at the table ... great for couples and people who like fish but hate bones. The wine selection is interesting and features some wines that are not too common in Portugal and impossible to find anywhere else. The seafood selection is extensive and the lobsters are very well presented. It is not a cheap place by local standards ... but ... it is great value for money. The apple tart is epic and deserves a special mention as do the clams and their sauce. We loved it and the place was full on a Tuesday! Go there. Eat well. Have a lot of fun.

El mejor restaurante en el que estuvimos en los 15 días comiendo fuera por esa zona y por Oporto.
Lo mejor calidad-precio-servicio. Recomiendo reservar y si hace buen tiempo la terraza es muy agradable. El pescado tipo mero estaba muy bueno, en su punto, las almejas también buenas y la atención muy buen. Solo un pero, al pesarnos el pescado la primera vez incluyeron el peso del plato y al vernos poco convencidos lo quitaron, no sé si lo iban a restar o no pero más de 400 grados a 45€ el kilo es mucho.

Muy buen restaurante, eliges el pescado fresco y te lo cocinan. Muy buen servicio, muy profesionales. Muy agradable. No es barato pero merece cada euro que pagas.

Ambiente muito bom. Pessoal eficiente,simpático e atento. Tudo com muita qualidade mas é de realçar a sopa de peixe que é para não esquecer e repetir oportunamente. Boa relação de preço e qualidade.
