The best and cheapest place to rent bikes in Portugal. Good, helpful and serviceminded staff. Me and my wife rented a R1250GS for a 4 day tour around Portugal. All the way through Sintra, up to Serra de Estrella and down to the Sagres following the coastline back to Lisbon. Bike in good Maintained condition performed well the whole way. Very happy with my choice, and highly recommend Hertz Ride.

Quite easily the best car rental I’ve used. Organised it through rental car app and was a bit weary of Hertz due to reviews. Friendly service, everything beautifully organised and labelled from exit to returning the car. Car was in excellent condition. Couldn’t have gone smoother

Fiz a reserva online, nunca recebi confirmação da mesma. Após 3 telefonemas e um email, nada. Email nunca responderam. Telefonemas, dois com funcionários completamente desinteressados, um ainda tentou justificar. Nunca me contactaram.

The story so far: - reservation with 30% discount, but completely different and much worse conditions when receiving the bike. The customer service confirmed an error, but I am still waiting for the overpaid money. No answers to my questions from the "service" for more than two weeks - I paid for a damage, that I have caused (completely ok!) and for additional damages that I have not been responsible for There are much more things, that I could talk about (e. g. reservation starting in german, switching to english and payment webpage is portuguese), but this should be enough for the moment.

Habe über mehrere Tage ein Motorrad ausgeliehen. Der Service war gut und das Personal freundlich. Bei meiner Reise ist am Motorrad ein kleiner Schaden entstanden, welchen ich auch angezeigt habe. Mir wurde versichert das es nicht teuer werden würde. In München am Flughafen angekommen, wurde mir eine viel zu hohe Summe in Rechnung gestellt und diverse andere VORHER schon defekte Teile (Fotonachweis) ausgetauscht. Horrible Service. Extremely unfriendly staff. Told us straight up that the offers available online are just bait. They simply do not correspond with available vehicles. Online offer below 30€ but on-site actual available car was over 70€. Went to the competition and immediately got one for 20€. Stay away.

Online Angebot 22 Eur am Tag; vor Ort dann nicht verfügbar, obwohl nach wie vor online angeboten. Auskunft des Mitarbeiters: you can book but you will never get a confirmation... Dazu war der Mitarbeiter schlicht weg unfreundlich u uneinsichtig.

No problems or surprises here. Marta was very helpful in getting us on our way. Would recommend getting your next car from here.

Very good staff, well organized. Can be really busy at times but it's understandable during tourist season. I rent from here about once a month and have never had a problem yet.

Lousy customer service, very inefficient meaning you have to be prepared to wait in long lines. Also tonnes of hidden fees, ridicilous. Thrifty/Hertz in Lisbon city centre: Avoid!

Prima di dirottarci verso Hertz, avevamo optato per un altro autonoleggio portoghese, ma le recensioni negative (trovavano problemi dove in realtà non vi erano) ci hanno fatto cambiare. Hertz è stata una buona scelta. Ci hanno dato una bella 500XL e al ritorno hanno giusto dato un'occhiata, per controllare che fosse tutto ok. Gentili e veloci.

AVOID THIS RENTAL LOCATION. Used my CC insurance, even provided a letter from my bank explaining coverage, and they still charged me for insurance, had to go back to get them to credit me, then when I returned the car that told me they would charge my CC in Euros (which is what I requested) - when I checked later they had used their conversion rate to $$ and got another $56 from me. $1100 for a 9 day rental. They then told me they would refund the difference, after multiple emails and me sending documentation there is no refund or credit. The only bright spot is Isabell, who gave us a lot of useful information for driving in Portugal, but unfortunately the shady overcharging side outweighs anything she provides. AVOID THIS LOCATION.

Better/safer than some shady budget car hires, but watch out for hidden fees. Also, customer service gets very busy on weekends in the summer so be prepared to wait in long lines. It took over an hour to process the return! Be sure to fuel up before returning. There's a petrol station right in front of Hertz but the better value is three blocks up the hill at Oz.

The worst rental agency that we met, and we previously made reservations all over the world. The web site is deceitful. Hidden costs (taxes and insurances) are added in the agency afterwards. If you choose to opt out from the insurances, they imposed a 1300€ retainer on the credit card.. A shame! And something unheard of!! Back in France (a few weeks after the said trip), They took the liberty to use my credit card again (without noticing me first) regarding some obscure "administrative fees". These expenses would (allegedly) be connected with a fine (never received to this day, six months later!) detailing fault of payment on a highway toll booth. Funnily enough, I had paid for the "e-toll" daily option on my rental contract, granting free passage on viaverde booths! And the agency has never sent me an e-mail to warn me. Quite a sad bunch of thieves, really... AVOID AT ALL COSTS! And take your business anywhere else... La pire agence de location que nous avons rencontré, et nous en avons fait quelques unes dans le monde. Le site internet est mensonger. Taxes et assurances sont rajoutées une fois dans l'agence. Vous pouvez ne pas prendre les assurances mais la caution est alors de 1300€. Une honte! Et du jamais vu!! A notre retour en France, ma carte bancaire a été débitée après paiement de la location pour des "frais administratifs" (attention, à savoir : toute entreprise qui a votre numéro de cb peut vous pomper de l'argent comme elle le souhaite). Ces frais seraient reliés à une amende (jamais reçue à ce jour, six mois après) pour un non paiement d'autoroute. Or j'avais option "e-toll" pour ne pas payer sur les viaverde! Et l'agence ne m'a jamais envoyé de mail pour m'avertir. Escroquerie, malhonnêteté et indélicatesse... A FUIR! Allez louer ailleurs!!!
