It was amazing. Such a great winery with delicious wines! Highly recommended. It's also very close to Lisbon, so if you want to try a winery closeby, it would be a great choice. There's three red wines and three white wines to sample, along with slices of bread, chorizo, mercatel jam, olive oil (which was sooo different from what we have in Canada and so tasty) and a cheese to share with your party.

Bons vinhos e receção muito simpática. Vista espetacular da serra do louro sobre parte baixa de Palmela avistado-se o Tejo e Lisboa.

Não merece 5 stars, este espaço merece 10 stars. Parabéns à familia Cardoso....

What a wonderful experience: the landscape, the winery itself, the lovely tour guide Helena who explained everything to us. We were able to have a look at the whole wine making process at Quinta do Piloto. And then the wine tastings, of course: Portugal is one of the best wine producing countries in the world, and at Quinta do Piloto, you have to try their roxo grape (you will only find it there!), the Moscatel of course, and the red wines. And 6 wines plus the tour you may have for EUR 7.5 only!

Thank you Raquel (and Helena for covering for Raquel) for the impromptu winery tour. We were very privileged to get a non- scheduled tour and will be forever grateful. We had the most fabulous afternoon visiting this winery. We adored the wine and we absolutely loved and appreciated the whole experience....from the stories and photos of family trees and heritage and connections to the historic town festivities, to learning about the wine making traditions.... the original wine making processes and marvelling at the traditional methods still in use today... we saw original technique and set-up that were visionary at the time and remain fundamental masterpieces that produce exemplary wines still today. We thought it was a brave call to pull up at a winery with our 3 young children on our way south from Lisbon. But we were super spoilt with exposure to this way of life, farming/vineyards and we all enjoyed the very professional space set up for visitors. The children were very interested in the process from vine to bottle as Raquel was an exceptional host who held our interest and attention with all of her stories and information. They really appreciated being given a branch off a plum tree by a farmer/caretaker, where they must have eaten at least 8 wonderfully juicy ripe plums each, straight from the picking. A talented, passionate group of people where the love shines through in the product. Yummo! Well done Quinta do Piloto... amazing.

Fantastic winery. They have preserved the past and the old. Very good wine. Family owned and operated. They are moving into the future and maintaining their heritage alive.
