The café had very good ratios, but turned to a disappointment.
We ordered:
Beef steak in mushrooms sauce - hard, too salty and not fresh.
Cod with ham - too fatty
Beef steak with egg sunny side up and mustard sauce - good
Coconut cake - not fresh
Rice cake with cherries - flavorless.
We liked young waiter and give two stars instead of one.

Bijou is a very good place to have desert. I think that the chocolatey balls are delicious! Also, I recommend the éclairs there and the custard is amazing. Over all the place is awesome and I loved it!

Stumbled upon this cafe a few days ago, after a long day touring Sintra and the coast... Really lovely place. Kind and welcoming staff, DELICIOUS lattes. Excellent freshly made orange juice which my husband could not get enough of! Love the feeling of standing in front of a case of desserts and wanting all of them. Thank you for a great experience!

Excellent place to stop in to! Great coffee, fresh orange juice that tastes... like oranges (you cash watch it being made fresh)! And hot chocolate that is not from a powder. Amazingly creamy and smooth. The staff was very friendly on a busy evening and was patient with our lack of understanding the language and the descriptions.
A ton of different desserts that all looked great. Only tried two small ones. Both good. Couldn't decide what to get for a second dessert so we got a second orange juice and a second latte.

So, this place was recommended to us by our tour guide, he referred to the 'pestal da nata' served here as probably the best in Portugal. So, of course we had to try, the shop is humble and clean, staff was friendly, really good coffee, hot chocolate and amazing pestal da nata.
Would be back if I am in Cascais again, do try!

Nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce café pour une pause. Nous avons pris des Pasteis de Nata et une spécialité de Cascais avec 2 smoothies. Pour avoir déjà mangé quelques Pasteis et bu pas mal de Smoothies. Je vais être assez catégorique.. C'était insipide et sans intérêt. Les smoothies avaient le goût de jus concentrés... Honteux !
Heureusement le service rattrape un peu le reste.

Should be zero stars!!! The waitress was so rude she should have been fired immediately! My 12 yr old picked up her plate of various desserts and a small cookie rolled off the plate onto the floor at the counter. I picked it up off the floor and handed it to the waitress behind the counter to tell her it fell. She grabbed it from my hand and throw it across the counter. Completely unacceptable behavior. Will never go back.

Loved their pastries here, definitely try their specials and whatever catches your eye. Everything was delicious and worth the calories ;) Located in the middle of old town so was nice to walk around and people watch while consuming the goods.

Very good americano. The best we have had in Portugal! Pleasant place to sit. Lots of people, but the staff was still easy to contact/order from when they had a lot to do. They were also smiling and making our stay better. We were there 3 times in 3 days ❤️ will come back when in Cascais!

Great pastelaria in Cascais. I always buy their small typical cookies or head here for a sweet breakfast. Try the jesuita with toasted almonds, it’s amazing. The service is always fast and kind, so if you want a great place for a fast cafe, this is your spot.

Delicious and amazing selection of desserts. It's hard to choose just one! My partner got an Americano which he liked but I got a hot chocolate and it wasn't your typical North American hot chocolate. It was more like a cup of actual chocolate that was hot. Lol.
