Ricardo has a true passion to teach. I love to ride different boards from SUP to surf to longboard to classic single fins and Ricardo has so much knowledge to correct for each wave craft and style. Finding the correct waves spots for all levels is crucial to learn and Ricardo finds perfect spots. His passion is infectious and will teach from basic to advance to competition level. He brakes down each new move with logic, add video analysis and its the whole package.

If you're looking for a real surfer to give you an introduction to surf, sup-surf or kitesurf look no further... Ricardo is the coach you're looking for! Why? Because he'll teach you everything from the very beginning and not just throw you to the waves. Included in the first lessons are safety, how to get through the white water, how to get around and through ripe tides, etc... And all of this with unlimited patience! And if you're a surfer or experienced surfer, Ricardo can take you to the right spots every single day, because he knows where to go for surfing depending on the conditions for that particular day. He then can film you from the beach or go into the water with you, depending on your preference. I would recommend everybody to try and get Ricardo to film you, and then get one of his very detailed and looooong ( ) debriefings, and you'll be surprised how much you can learn and improve from a couple of sessions with this great coach!

La South Adventures è una scuola surf di maestri super professionali! Ci hanno insegnato davvero bene e ci hanno fatto apprezzare ed amare uno degli sport più difficili al mondo. Ci siamo sempre divertiti, mentre facevamo surf e no Per quanto mi riguarda, ho fatto solo 5 lezioni ma grazie a Ricardo ( ovviamente anche grazie a Marco ) ora vorrei continuare con il surf fino a farlo diventare il mio sport! Raccomando caldamente la South Adventures! Surfare con loro è stata una delle esperienze più divertenti della mia vita!

Ricardo was amazing, I took some private kite surfing lessons. The meeting spot was a quick (and great) ferry from the main tourist area in Lisbon, I recommend coming early and getting lunch at Ponto Final (as recommended by Ricardo) the food is amazing. The instruction was better than I had previously in Australia, Ricardo really knows what he is doing and is a great guy to chat too.

My husband and I did three SUP surf sessions with Ricardo last weekend. It was already the third time we did a session at South Adventures and it will definitely not be the last time. Being „intermediate beginners from the Baltic Sea in Germany“, where you never have the same glassy conditions as in Lisbon, there were a lot of mistakes to work on . Ricardo always had the right words and suggestions that took us to the next level within just a few hours. Watching the videos with his comments also helped so much to improve our skills. And apart from that there are some things that make Ricardo the best teacher you can find in the Lisbon area, maybe in all of Portugal: - he is super reliable! If you book a lesson at a certain time and place, he‘ll be there right on time and prepared. - his English is very good, so you can always understand what he‘s trying to teach. - he has so much experience that it just takes seconds till he knows what you’re doing wrong and how to improve it. - everything‘s always very uncomplicated. Just drop him a message and he‘ll find a way to let you have a good time - he loves his job. He‘s so enthusiastic about your improvement that it pushes you further! Thanks Ricardo, we‘ll be back!
