Going here provided us a really special experience of seeing a family run roasters. The owner was very welcoming and provided us with an interesting insight into the business. We tried some delicious coffee and left with some to take home at a very good price. Thoroughly recommended to any coffee lovers. Don’t hesitate to pop in!

Unglaublich cool. Wir haben plötzlich eine Führung bekommen und konnten alles probieren usw.
Hätten wir noch eine Stunde geblieben, hätte er weiter erzählt.

I thought this was a coffee shop to begin with, but it is so so much more. It’s a roaster and distributor of excellent beans around Lisbon.
But wait! It’s not just that - they roast their beans using wood fire. One of the very last of a kind in Europe. This is a craft. You can go on a tour of the inside and you can buy beans by the bag and they will grind it for you too.
I wish I had brought more beans with me to my next house sit. The coffee just doesn’t taste the same after watching it be roasted here.

Uma das melhores experiências com o comércio que já tive. O sr Jorge Monteiro é de uma simpatia inexcedível. Recebi uma visita guiada, uma explicação sobre o processo de torrefacção com Lenha. Vi o equipamento. Bebi um café delicioso. Quem faz o que gosta, tem talento e junta a isso capacidade de gestão contagia os outros com o seu entusiasmo e energia. Os preços são os melhores do mercado.

Torrefatora de café a lenha, com variadas origens de café. O facto de se torrar o café a lenha poderá trazer alguma inconstância no produto final apresentado, ao mesmo tempo que poder(i)á imprimir notas interessantes a fumo ao mesmo. Comprei um lote biológico, o que a partida parecia ser uma compra segura. Após degustação o café não demonstrou qualquer tipo de aroma ou acidez. Sabor aguado (mesmo com mais de 8 g de café por chávena), oxidado e sem interesse algum. Acolhimento impecável com visita às instalações e possibilidade de acompanhamento do processo de torra.

Café de calidad, muchas variedades y gente apasionada por su trabajo. Joao nos explicó todo el proceso de tostado del café, proceso que hacen con madera, nos dejó catar varios tipos y nos enseño diferentes tipos de cafeteras de diferentes partes del mundo. Un tour en toda regla, totalmente recomendable si estás en Lisboa. Obrigado Joao!

Só existem dois torradores Probat 120Kg à Lenha na Europa, e um deles está aqui, seguindo a tradição familiar mais de 65 anos.... pode vir conferir.

Best coffee roaster in Lisboa! They roast coffee using a wood burning roaster (which is super cool!) The coffee is of very high quality and delicious, so very complex with beautiful aromas. Francisco and his dad are very kind and welcoming. Buy coffee from them, it’s so worth it! Obrigado Flor da Selva!

Almost missed this gem. It's up a small side street, no signage we could see. A couple of coffee grinders spotted through the open door and a wave from the owner showed us the way. He gave the two of us a tour of his traditional wood fired roastery, complete with tastings. Absolute coffee heaven (even my non coffee drinking partner enjoyed it!). Bought of kilo of beans to take home. Packed to order and at a very reasonable price.

Really nice family roastery (probably the best I've been to). The owners are super friendly and if you are lucky give you a tour through the roastery and let you in on their vast knowledge regarding Coffee. Plus the Coffee tastes excellent and is quite affordable. Definetly will be coming back!

Very kind and friendly. They are family owned and know about coffee. Francisco and his father were super - helpful and patient explaining local coffee habits (arabica/robusta blends!). Not a well marked building but so glad I visited. Note that they are not a sit-down coffee shop (yet?) but may sell you a bag of their wonderful coffee.

Llegamos a visitar este lugar, que no es una cafetería ni una tienda de café, luego de leer sobre su origen y la variedad de cafés que poseen. Nos recibió Francisco, una bendición y amor de persona, quien nos llevó a visitar y nos contó sobre los procesos y la variedad de cafés. Nos hizo una pequeña degustacion. Me decidí por el de Etiopía ( intenso). Y pude comprarlo ahí mismo. Una experiencia diferente. Es un negocio familiar desde 1950. Quienes puedan y quieran, como buen consejo, les sugiero visitarla.

Ha sido un placer compartir un rato con vosotros. Hemos disfrutado de un gran café preparado con cariño y hemos comprado varios cafés a un precio inmejorable. They have an amazing selection of coffees from all over the world. They also roast the coffee via wood...not a lot of roasters do such a thing.
They will give you a small tour and a taste, I highly recommend for those staying in an air bnb with a coffee maker of some sort.

Also got an impromptu tour and some free coffee just due to sheer luck. Bought a 250g bag of ground beans which were so much cheaper than in London and seemed high quality. Lovely owner, a great experience

As seen on tv! Very friendly staff gave us an impromptu tour before selling us some wonderfull coffee! Also a lovely old lady next door filled our bag with fresh fruit for next to nothing!

Went to buy 2 250g bags of beans and wss given an impromtu tour of the roastery and tasting room. Their tradition and integrity is fab and i now look forward to happy memories over an espresso.

Não há melhor! A simpatia, o saber receber e o conhecimento que o Sr. Jorge emprega no seu trabalho vale ouro nos dias de hoje. Só por isto já vale mais de metade da experiência. Quanto ao resto é café do mais puro e da melhor qualidade que se pode encontrar em Portugal. Vários tipos, origem e variedades que permite explorar todo um vasto leque de cafés a preços muito reduzidos tendo em conta todo o trabalho que está por detrás da torra.
Bem hajam e que continuem com o excelente trabalho por muitos mais anos.

Único lugar em Lisboa, e pode ser em Portugal, onde posso comprar café torrado quase na hora. Têm máquinas que trabalham de lenha! Uma maravilha, parece volto por século passado. Donos de empresa são muito simpáticos. E qualidade de café sem dúvidas.

Out of curiosity, we stepped in and the owner family warmly welcomed and invited us to come back the other day to see them roasting. I tried some of the coffee right at the spot and brought two packages home. Meanwhile I finished one package. The coffee is very aromatic, fresh and reasonably priced. Recommended!

Angekommen und direkt zur einer Führung durch die Rösterei eingeladen worden. Die Führung war spitze und Vorallem interessant. Er hetzte nicht und ließ sich viel Zeit fuer uns . Wir tranken jeweils noch 2 espresso nahmen noch ein paar Bohnen mit und verschwanden wieder. Der Preis fuer die Bohnen war auch sehr gut. Fuer mich eine Empfehlung wer Interesse an Kaffee hat und sich eine alte rösterei mal ansehen möchte.
