L'accueil est très chaleureux. Le chef est passionné par sa nourriture. Il est très généreux de son temps et ses recommendations étaient simplement délicieuses. Merci beaucoup pour ce petit dîner dans cette ambiance tout à fait charmante! Les amis du Québec !

Extrem gutes und authentisches portugiesisches Fischrestaurant. Das Essen war perfekt wahrscheinlich das beste in unserem Portugal Urlaub! Es wird von einer sehr herzlichen Familie betrieben, die den Besuch zu einem Erlebnis machen. Der Fischeintopf war unglaublich lecker. Absolut zu empfehlen und sicherlich die deutlich bessere Entscheidung als die Touristenschuppen an der Hauptstraße.

. ACHTUNG. Die auf den ersten Blick gezeigte Gastfreundschaft, lässt man sich hier gut bezahlen... Das Essen war sehr gut, was uns definitiv nicht gefallen hat war die Tatsache das man uns das Teuerste Brot und Oliven und Schnaps ohne Nachfrage hinstellte (wie in diesem Land meist üblich) ohne uns zu informieren das dies alles extra berechnet wird! Man sagte noch das alles aus dem Garten sei, was ja auch gut und schön ist. Aber die Preissteigerungen hätte man gerne gewusst und sich dann auch ohne Überraschungen dafür "entschieden"

We had such a wonderful meal here, we had to come back a second time! Delicious, hearty food and excellent, attentive hosts. We left with full hearts and full bellies. Definitely hope to return one day :) Can't recommend it enough.

We have been there and it was fantastic! We enjoyed he hospitality of the whole crew. We had typical Portuguese starter Olives garlic bread and homemade sardines- just great and mouthwatering. For the main course we had squid and prawns and octopus a-campaigned by a bottle of white wine from the Setubal region “Alto Pina” a wonderful reserve wine.
As dessert caramelized apples with cinnamon and espresso and cherry liquor from the chef!!!
If you are ever in Peniche you should not miss this opportunity! Enjoy

Especial...un trato inmejorable tanto con nosotros como con mi niña...siempre atentos a todo...nos hicieron sentir como en casa...la comida muy rica...en muestro caso arroz de marisco...riquísimo...mas que recomendable....tenemos claro que en próxima visita a no dudaremos en visitarlos de nuevo....muchas gracias y hasta pronto...

Hatte im März einen dieser lange erinnerenswerten Abende in diesem schönen Restaurant gehabt (5 ++++ *) - es nun endlich auf Google gefunden und hier meine 3 Sätze:
Wunderbares, durch Einfachheit und Frische bestechendes Essen. Selbst angepflanztes Gemüse, das nach Gemüse schmeckt. Kartoffeln, die nach Kartoffeln schmecken. Vom regionalen Fisch gar nicht zu sprechen.
Eins der tollsten Desserts, die ich jemals hatte (Hauptinhalt: Kondensmilch). 3 Portionen gehabt am Abend, den wir mit der Familie, die das Lokal betreibt, bei viel Wein bis 4 Uhr morgens verbracht haben. Kein Wunder, dass dieses Dessert von einigen Läden in der Umgebung für ihre Kunden geordert wird.
Wie gesagt, sehr nette und an Austausch interessierte Menschen, sehr leckeres und mit Hingabe gemachtes Essen. Ganz viele Reisetipps bekommen. Hoffentlich bleibt der Laden auch weiter so familiär. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder (und bringe noch ein Auto mit (Insider))!

Si vous cherchez un restau typique , avec boufffe extra , acceuil hyper chaleureux, vin très bon sur Péniche , allez y les yeux fermés ! Famille chaleureuse , à la bonne franquette , que des produits frais, très bon rapport qualité-prix, exemple , pour 7( 4 adultes , 3 enfants , entrées, plats , vin 150€ de moyenne ) , vous y mangerez des palourdes , gambas, raie, requin, bouillabaisse portugaise ( prévenir à l avance), et pour les enfants , steak frites maisons ! De plus , ce n' est pas négligeable, ils se font comprendre en français , italien, anglais, espagnol.....
Très très bonne adresse! Merci pour tout et j espère à bientôt ! OBLIGADO POR TODO!!!!!

La cuisine qui semble être faite de produits locaux est moins copieuse et pas plus goûteuse qu'ailleurs. Le patron est sympathique mais cherche le compliment ...ce qui est un peu lourd. Sans grand intérêt.

No sabíamos donde comer pero los comentarios me gustaron.
La. Comida genial fresco y casero.
El arroz marinero buenísimo y el bacalao espectacular.
El postre de lo más.

Inmejorable experiencia. Totalmente recomendable.
Un lugar acogedor donde degustar platos y vinos típicos de la zona. Con productos muy frescos y una elaboración con gran pasión.
Nos dejamos aconsejar por Joaquín, que nos preparó un arroz con camarones y frutos del mar que fué un auténtico acierto. También pudimos degustar unos postres espléndidos. Seguro que repetiremos la experiencia.

Fantastic family owned restaurant with enthusiastic owner and delicious food. We were offered 12 year old whiskey, and able to discuss the history of Peniche’s restaurants over the years...... no wonder this has flourished since 1985. Such fresh food and herbs. Thank you for spoiling us.

So often you read restaurant reviews about someone enjoying a “family like meal” and wonder how that is possible but at this place it most certainly is. We couldn’t have felt more cared for as guests and we walked away not just raving about the food but also the service.
My best advice, take the recommendations of the owners and be patient. Enjoy a glass of wine and conversation as this food is prepared with love and without waste. Good things take time.

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat. Owned and operated by a local Portuguese family who clearly take pride in the food they offer. If you want true traditional flavors wrapped in the warmest Portuguese hospitality this place is a must!

Staff super simpático simples e honesto. Um ambiente super acolhedor.
Fomos super bem tratados.
A comida super saborosa e muito fresca. Sem falar de maioria dos alimentos eram biológicos e plantados pela dona Ana uma senhora encantadora.
Recomendo vivamente.
Quem sai de lá sai com vontade de voltar.

Sind aufgrund der Berichte ins Lokal. Wenig Auswahl, eher teurer und das Essen äußerst durchschnittlich.
Lästig war auch der sehr aufdringliche Chef, bei dem immer bestätigt werden musste, dass es besonders gut sei.
Nicht zu vergleichen mit Profresco in Peniche.

Very cozy and atmospheric place, owned by a very nice local family! We had some fried chorizo with cheese, sardine, octopus with shrimps and sangria - everything was yammy! Highly recommended to visit :)

We enjoyed everything there - food was delicious (got several appetizers and octopus), sangria was tasty and owners were very friendly and we felt extremely welcomed.

Não sou de fazer avaliações, mas não poderia deixar de entrar aqui para avaliar esse restaurante tão especial, que fomos por um acaso e nos representou uma grata surpresa num começo de viagem por esse país encantador que é Portugal. Já começamos super acolhidos por essa simpática família que são a Ana, o Joaquim e a Carolina, sem falar na comida e na sobremesa deliciosas que nos serviram e pra terminar a dose de Ginja oferecida e feita pelo Joaquim. Super recomendo a todos que estiverem ou passarem por Peniche.

Not sure why someone would say this place is targeted at tourists and it has high prices.
In my opinion, the food is great (we had the ocptopus and the hawaii codfish) and fresh, the owner is very helpful and nice and the atmosphere is really friendly and like in a family restaurant.
As for the prices, we paid about 40+ euros for 2 person, but the portions were big, we had home wine and beer and the owner ended our meal will shots of ginja. If you go to any restaurant in Peniche, you'll pay similar, but won't get the service and atmosphere.

So ein wunderbares Restaurant! So familiär, liebevoll und aufmerksam :) der Service war perfekt, das Essen sehr lecker und typisch portugiesisch. Wir hatten Caldeirada mit sehr zartem Fisch, den passenden Hauswein und hausgemachten Nachtisch - wir waren sehr zufrieden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!
Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieses Restaurant gehen :)

Un local escondido con decoración curiosa, trato muy familiar pero con respeto y educación, una carta muy centrada, te recomiendan. Hemos probado carne, pescado y crustáceos. Platos completos, de sabor exquisito, el pescado de la costa (aunque el marisco es mejor el gallego, aquí es muy pequeño, la elaboración es tan buena que consiguen potenciar el sabor, alcanza el nivel)
La sangría espectacular. Nos invitaron a café y chupito (muy rico también).
Importante, no cobran con tarjeta.

Nice meal in a family run Portuguese restaurant. Food was very tasty and the service from the owner/chef was very good, only for the fact that we paid different prices (cheaper menu not offered to us) for the food in comparison to locals dining at the same time and also the owner insisted on having a glass of our rather expensive bottle of wine and jug of blue sangria. This was not cool and took us by surprise, plus the addition of extra food we had not ordered been added to the bill. Other than that, good food.

Es un restaurante familiar que mima los platos. La capacidad instalada en la cocina es largamente insuficiente para dar la altísima calidad a los platos que sirven y a la vez atender al número de mesas. Hemos esperado 50 minutos hasta que hemos visto el plato en la mesa. El precio un poco pasado

This is a nice homely restaurant with simple decor, though it seems to be targeted at tourists. I doubt you will find any Portuguese eating here. Service is good. The food is not bad, but the price is somewhat exuberant for what you get. For example, imitation crab meat is used in the fisherman's rice. The restaurant is cash only.

Very taste food, lost of seafood. Friendly staff gave us a warm welcome and even gave some tips what to see in Peniche! I would definitely recommend this for a nice lunch or dinner!

Really yummy food, but the prices are a bit steep and some of the olives were rotten/foul tasting.
The cod was also very salty.

We enjoyed our evening. We had a delicious pitcher of sangria along with local foods. Pickled sardines and garlic toast. Fisherman’s rice was delicious and fresh!!

Excelente restaurante! O atendimento parece que estamos em casa. O dono sentou-se na nossa mesa e sugeriu o nosso prato principal. A comida estava deliciosa! No final um aperitivo estilo ginja pela casa! Recomendo! Obrigado Joaquim e família!

Besser geht es nicht!
Ist wohl authentisch portugiesisch. Super freundliche und vielsprachige Bedienung (der Inhaber persönlich) mit umfangreichen Erklärungen zu allen Gerichten. Weinempfehlung genau nach unseren Angaben. Alles, was wir gegessen haben (Octopus mit Reis und Caldeirada), war ausgezeichnet angerichtet und hat 1A geschmeckt. Besser geht es wohl kaum.
Und, Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war auch super.

This was one of my favourite experiences! They serve the best food(I had not eaten octopus that great in my entire time travelling and I was eating a lot of octopus ) These people make you feel like family.

Gutes Essen ohne Touristen-Firlefanz, sehr nette und freundliche Atmosphäre. Es ist wesentlich schöner, wenn man sich mit den Betreibern des Restaurants nach dem Essen noch nett unterhalten kann als in einem der touristisch orientierten Restaurants zwei Strassen weiter gen Hafen zu sitzen, besser schmeckt es dort auch nicht.

Restaurant se disant cuisine traditionnelle et faite maison, il s' avère que la paella de la mer est composée de riz sans saveur de bâtons de surimis , et de cocktail de fruits de mer surgelé , pour 14euro la petite dose, nous sommes très très très loin de la cuisine traditionnelle , de la dose, et de l'accueil portugaise . Je ne recommande pas

Très bon restaurant, un meilleur choix que certains restaurants touristiques qui sont sur la rue principale.
C'est un restaurant familial : les parents et la fille. Ils sont au petit soin avec leurs clients. Ils demandent régulièrement si tout se passe bien, ils expliquent parfaitement leur plat et d'où viennent leurs produits.
Ils sont amis avec des pêcheurs locaux et servent le résultat de leur pêche :)
On a adoré l'accueil, la conversation et surtout les bons plats !

Noticed the charming bar front with cool rope sign & pet birds & herb garden...entered at 5.30pm & the owner with the warmest smile said he will make "I will make you the best mojito"..& he did...and another...& would then proceed to bring out various things he loved like his special anchovies, cheese on bread & red wine...a few family & friends dropped by...almost has the feeling you have stumbled into their home...an absolute gem if you feel like a super low key old school bar (been there/his since the 80s) & does things its own way...the good way...
