We contacted My Vintage Wedding Portugal with intention to have our wedding in La Quinta. We ended up deciding to do it in another country because of family reasons but we would especially like to thank Catarina for being very responsive and helpful along the way. La Quinta is a perfect venue if you choose to do a destination wedding in Lisbon in a rustic setting and their prices are very reasonable. We even contacted a few brides whom have had their weddings in La Quinta. They were all very happy with their wedding and they all said it was amazing. Who knows, we might do our 10 year anniversary in La Quinta;)

My husband and I were married at The Quinta on September 12, 2018. We planned our wedding from Canada, and had never been to The Quinta or to Portugal before the wedding. I was so nervous I even contacted other reviewers over Facebook to make sure the place was real!! Though communication was a little slow on the lead up to the wedding (we found this with all our dealings over email with Portuguese businesses actually), all our concerns melted away on our wedding day. Catarina and her team did a FANTASTIC job. The entire day ran without a single hitch. Everything was perfect: the drinks and food were delicious, the flowers and setting were gorgeous, our DJ Tiago was amazing, and every detail was considered, including sun parasols for the guests during the ceremony, and blankets when it started to cool down after dinner. It was most beautiful wedding, and my husband and I were able to really be present and enjoy ourselves. It's a pleasure I don't think a lot of couples get!! Thank you Catarina and your team for giving us the most perfect wedding we could have asked for. ❤️

Best place for a wedding party. The garden is amazing and the bulding makes you feel like you're living in a castle.

We had our wedding at the Quinta in August 2018 and it was perfect! The venue itself is more stunning than the pictures can depict and the staff could not have been more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The flowers were absolutely breathtaking, the food was exceptional and Catarina (our planner) was a delight from start to finish. Our family stayed with us for five days and we had an incredible experience. The Quinta went above and beyond, worked quickly and efficiently and my husband and I cannot thank them enough for making our day truly magical!!!

If we could give 5 stars out of 5, we would give 7 or 8. What a topspot location is this and how wonderful are Catarina, Vanessa and her team working behind the scenes to make this a wedding, your very own wedding, you could not even dream of. The venue you can rent as a self catering venue for the week or weekend with a fully equipped kitchen present, however on the wedding day, every aspect is taken care of. You can define / tweak the small details in the Quinta as you wish yourselves but even the smallest details you do not even think about, are covered by the Quinta. Squeaking doors, old style bedrooms, living rooms and likewise furniture. Where ever you walk, there is always something new to discover in this place. And the backgarden is so nice to relax, you feel you are king and queen of your very own castle, sadly it’s just for a couple of days. On the wedding day, the vintage staff are so nice, helpful and quietly walking around you, they just put you all in the centre of attention. The dinner is delicious, the drinks are plentiful and before you realise, you are only left with the memories of a glorious day. Just a pity we marry only once, otherwise we would come back here every time to do it over and over again. What a great place for a wedding. Take over the entire place and enjoy an authentic Portuguese venue with lots of space and many different options.

Viewed this venue for an upcoming wedding, beautiful building, lovely large pretty rooms but not equipped at all for a wedding party. Smelly toilets and grubby bathrooms. Absolutely diabolical facilities for wedding party to self cater, a weird, dark, grubby room in the side of a hall upstairs, I certainly wouldn’t want to cater for my guests from it. No private bathroom for the bride & groom, they have to share. Very, very badly organised. The gardens are amazing but again untidy, dirty water in swimming pool, litter, broken umbrella stand, etc in front drive. Chapel is amazing but again let down by lack of care, really old dead flowers on the beautiful alter, with a bit of hard work this would be a fabulous place. No way would it be considered in its present state.

I just had my wedding at The Quinta this past month. My husband and I along with the bridal party spent a few days there and it was amazing. The Quinta itself is beautiful. On the day of the wedding, the service was AMAZING! All the decorations were beautiful. Catarina and Barbara were so nice, super helpful taking care of the details throughout the wedding day. All the staff was amazing, super nice and helpful. The food was great, the DJ Tiago did a fantastic job, everyone was dancing until 2 am. I can't thank enough The Quinta for their amazing work. My husband and I were married here in June 2018. The venue is stunning, particularly the outdoor areas, which is why we selected it. The interior is exacly as described with a rustic-chic vibe. It hasn't been totally updated, so be prepared for very small showers and some other oddities in the amenities. The staff is very friendly, but I am only giving it two stars is because I feel they really dropped the ball on several things. First was the catering. We had several guests with everything from deathly severe food allergies to intolerances and religious requirements. We were told certain ingredients wouldn't be used at all, like shellfish, and that the rest of the food would be labeled so people could choose accordingly. When we got there and had our touchbase, we were told they were planning to serve shrimp. Luckily we caught it in time, but if that had not come up in advance, one of our guests life would have been in jeopardy. Then, on the day of the event, none of the food was labeled and another friend had to make himself vomit because he thought he tasted peanut in a dessert. There were also other small things like the bouquet not looking the way I had requested, the DJ not having songs ready to play at the correct times, and the timing of events being rushed when they didn't need to be, which were a little frustrating. Lastly, the cleaning staff showed up before the communicated check-out time and started going through everything, so we felt like we were being kicked out about an hour early. All-in-all, the event was still memorable and fun, but I do wish the delivery had been more in-line with what was promised and planned.

What a beautiful place for a wedding! Filled with all the romantic, vintage details. The most fantastic wedding, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. We had such a great time during our 3 day stay at The Quinta. Highly recommend it. Sintra has so much to see and this villa is the amazing start to it all.

The reason we chose to trust MVWP for our wedding was certainly the location, which is just fantastic - we chose the Quinta, which provided a magical backdrop and various different settings for the various events of the day. Looking back on what was a perfect experience, and despite the fact that we chose MVWP because of the location, the main reason I would recommend it is the incredible service that this amazing team put together for us. It would take too long to list all of positives of our experience, but a few things are really worth mentioning: 1. Trust: Organising a wedding remotely is a leap of faith. From the very first interaction Claudia was 100% transparent about what her team can offer and what they can't, what the advantages and disadvantages are. This was a totally different approach to a number of the other alternatives we looked at, who were either viciously over-selling or completely disengaged with us as potential clients. 2. Experience: We will only get married once and therefore have no experience of organising the event. On the other hand, we had a number of quite specific "must have" requirements for the wedding. Claudia and the team were energised by our individuality and ideas to personalise our wedding and could immediately provide recommendations and suggestions, without being pushy or imposing. 3. Service: Claudia and her team love what they do, and it really shows. With Portugal enjoying a boom in tourism, service can sometimes be a bit patchy, but not with this team. Every single one of our guests commented on the level of service and enthusiasm from the many people involved in making the day. From the waiting staff, to the DJ (who danced more than many of the guests), to the housekeepers - their enthusiasm was contagious. 4. Food & Drink: One the areas where we had very specific requirements was around the quality of food & drink. Not only did the catering team demonstrate extreme patience with us (including designing new and complex dishes) but Claudia was also proactive in adjusting the level of service and budget in line with our needs and desires. The food was really really excellent and the cocktails were really sublime. All round, you simply cannot fault the product of MVWP. The one unpredictable thing, of course, is the weather, which tends to be cooler and more changeable in the mountains of Sintra. In the end, it was perfect on the day of the wedding. On the day after, it drizzled for 30 minutes, but even this was just another opportunity for the team to shine. We were quickly and seamlessly moved to the large dining room, only for the weather to clear up and provide us with an incredible sunset shortly thereafter. Overall, it was an incredible, very impressive experience. Like us, if you select MVWP it will probably be for the location, but will be blown away by the service. Thank you Claudia & Team!

We had the best time at My Vintage Wedding Portugal and the most incredible wedding day. Catarina and her team were amazing – everything we requested was no issue and they went out of their way to make sure we had the best day. We stayed at the venue for four nights total and had our wedding on the last day. During the week, we went to a lovely winery just a few minutes away from the venue and had a barbecue at the Quinta another evening. Guests had time to explore Sintra and we visited family in Cascais and Colares a few times. Ubers and taxis are really useful but can take 10-15 minutes to reach the Quinta as they’re coming from the bigger towns, so we also rented a car to get around. The wedding day itself was perfect – we woke up to the team arranging flowers outside and setting the venue up, which was totally transformed in a couple of hours. Food was also a big hit, especially the goat cheese and hake dishes. The canapes after the ceremony were a big favourite among our guests, so many people raved about the cheese dip! Staff were so friendly throughout the day and a everyone commented on how smooth and relaxed the entire wedding day felt, thoroughly enjoyable and would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. We wish we could relive the whole experience again and can’t wait to get our official pictures back. Thank you so much to Catarina and the whole team for an unforgettable day. Jack and Laura xxx

t has been exactly 1 year since our wedding at The Quinta. 1 year since we said "I do" in the most beautiful ceremony that was more than we ever could have imagined. Our families were definitely outside their comfort traveling in a foreign country, but everyone has said it was a magical experience. Some thought we were crazy for planning a wedding completely online and not tasting or testing anything prior to the big day, but to say the staff at The Quinta didn't disappoint would be an understatement. Every single thing was perfect, from the decor to the food, to the best reception we have ever been to. There was not one thing we would have changed. As we take this day to reflect on our wedding, we wanted to thank Catarina for making our wedding a dream come true. We will never forget our experience in Sintra, and hope to return at a later anniversary. Obrigada

Old does not have to be dirty. They need to put some money back into this place which is literally falling apart. The water barely works and the feux grass outside is in tatters. It could be so much more. Looks like they are just milking unsuspecting foreign wedding planners

Dear Vanessa My husband and I just wanted to thank you personally for everything you did to make Jenn and Gil's wedding day a day of utter perfection. When they decided that the Quinta da Arriaga was where they wanted to get married I must admit I worried that organising a wedding from afar would be quite a difficult undertaking. However after reading the excellent reviews on the My Vintage Wedding Portugal website I felt confident that we wouldn't be disappointed and I needn't have worried at all. You and your fabulous team exceeded all our expectations! From the start of the day to the end of the day the attention to detail was superb. Every part of the day moved seamlessly into the next. The setting where the marriage ceremony took place was stunning. The floral displays were breathtaking and the vintage rugs added a fairy-tale touch to the occasion. The bouquets and buttonholes were absolutely gorgeous. The marriage ceremony was lovely, the celebrant was excellent and thank you for your much-needed translating skills! Then on to cocktails and canapes. Wow! What a setting! The vintage furniture added a quirky touch and the guests commented on how lovely it was to be able to sit down at times rather than standing as is the case at a lot of weddings. The drinks flowed and the canapes were mouth-watering. I still have a lovely image in my head of everyone milling around socialising in the sun being entertained by the fantastic band. There was such a relaxed, happy atmosphere. Then to dinner!. Again the attention to detail was exquisite. The floral decorations were stunning and the vintage crockery and glassware were beautiful. What an excellent team of waiting staff you have at the Quinta. Glasses were constantly being topped up in a very unobtrusive way and when the meal was being served we were hardly aware that the waiting staff were there. Please pass on our thanks to them all. The food was delicious. Every course cooked to perfection! Next on to the disco. Tiago was one of the best DJs we've ever seen at a wedding and the dance floor was full from start to finish. Please tell Tiago that Morag ( Jenn's Mum) thoroughly enjoyed the dances we had together. Great memories! For guests who didn't want to dance all night there were plenty of areas to relax both inside and outside the Quinta which was ideal. What an unforgettable day you gave us! It was so lovely to be able to wake up in the Quinta the next morning and spend the day with friends and family reminiscing about the wedding day. When we left the Quinta on the Monday morning we were all very sad as it really is a magical place. Where do I even begin? Our wedding day was the most magical and beautiful day of our lives, all thanks to the amazing venue and staff at The Quinta, specially Catarina. If you are considering to have your wedding here, search no more. Every single detail of our wedding day was perfect, from decor, to food, music, ambiance, staff, you name it. The venue is insanely beautiful, whether you are having it indoors or outdoors. Bucolic, charming, romantic, and vintage. The food was so so so delicious (we opted for Portuguese barbecue). I honestly had all my guests comment on how this was the best wedding they had ever been to, and I believe them, because this truly is a magical place. You know how people always tell you that some things will always go wrong on your wedding day? Well, literally nothing was out of place, nothing went wrong, and my husband and I felt that we could trust Catarina completely. To us 5 starts is not even enough! Me and my wife together had being going in Portugal at the middle of May,2018. Our trip was connected with the 40-yares-jubilee of our wedding. In arranging of trip I was looking for possibility to make some romantic surprise for my wife and accidentally found this QUINTA where they arrange nice wedding ceremonies. I had visited their web-site and 14 days before our arrival to Portugal had sent them E-mail with ask to organize small symbolic ceremony for us as per their traditions and experience which could be great event in our romantic voyage. I was agree to pay for this surprise on arrival. It was good enough time to accept or refuse my ask, but owners and managers of QUINTA even had not answered to my letter just simple ignored it. I believe such attitude to customer's ask is not acceptable.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be married here in May of 2018. We organized everything online, and while the team was great with communication via email, their was still concern leading up to our weekend as we did not have an opportunity to visit the location. Upon arrival, any concerns immediately washed away. The venue itself is amazing... classic and beautiful. The building is yours for the weekend, we had 20ish family members and friends also staying on the grounds with us. Every room was beautiful to take in, the small touches of decor while keeping the original feel intact is handled perfectly. The honeymoon suite was a huge bedroom with windows looking out over the countryside to the ocean. The wedding on Saturday went perfectly. Our guests arriving from Europe, US, and Canada were all as equally blown away just walking around the grounds and taking 100s of pictures. The team had every detail worked out perfectly and the wedding decor was perfect, very eclectic furniture, beautiful flowers, and knick knacks. After the ceremony, the servers during the cocktail and dinner were impeccable never missing the opportunity to provide an appetizer, refill a glass, or take a photo. The food, we went with the BBQ option, was delicious and plentiful lasting us through the night and the next days. Another great nuance is the different rooms available through the night. While you could spend time in the dance area with music their was also the opportunity to lounge in the expansive living room and spend time conversing with our guests. Or walking around the grounds looking up at the stars or to the Ocean. It was really a magnificent experience. My wife and I can not imagine a better way to have spent the weekend with our family and friends celebrating our wedding. It was quite simply a once in a lifetime experience and one that we will always treasure. A huge thank you to the Quinta team for making it all possible and being there every step of the way. A piece of advice. Having the entire villa to yourselves was such a unique experience but be sure to bring some snacks and drinks, there are not a lot of shops near by. We certainly had plenty of food leftover from the wedding Sunday and Monday but for Friday and Saturday morning it is good to bring options. Their is tea and coffee available as well as a large kitchen.

We held a wedding there in may 2018 and can say the following: - the venue magical. We searched the world over for a venue and eventually landed on la quinta after a visit. Words cannot describe how perfect it is if you are looking for magnificent location covered in green and flowers,with the artefacts lying around not being concocted by even a slick hipster designer - the organisation by cato in the venue was world class. No stress, professional and listened attentively and just done what need a doing. Input is.minimal as they do it perfectly every time - value for money insane. Get in before they double the price -on a final note the sun shone and it was the best wedding all of our guests have been to according to consensus - amazing

My Vintage Wedding Portugal is absolutely fantastic. We had the most amazing wedding and enjoyed every moment. Catarina, our wedding planner was just brilliant from start to finish. She helped us with every detail and was always available to message for a quick question about anything. The venue was just perfect, the food was outstanding and we danced into the night with big smiles on our faces. If you want a stress free wedding with all the little details handled then this it the place for you. They thought of everything you could imagine, things that made our day extra special. The Quinta is so cool and looks amazing and the area is beautiful in the countryside of Portugal. I honestly don’t think it could have gone any better and was definitely our dream wedding.

What an excellent place! The photos on their website do not do the justice. We got to the house and all of our guests (including us) were amazed. It's a perfect place for a wedding! Big thank you to the staff that made it so nice and easy and especially to Catarina! The only regret we have is that we couldn't stay there longer!

We had our wedding here in March 2018. We are from Houston, TX, USA, so booking something overseas is always unnerving, but everything went as smoothly as possible! When we were researching this place a year ago, there were hardly any reviews. Stay: 3.5-4/5 Wedding: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Overall, We would highly recommend the Quinta for your wedding. We really enjoyed it and our guests did too. See our facebook review for a much lengthier, detailed review. Stay: The venue is over 200 years old, so be weary of that. It has updated bathrooms, but don’t expect a 5 star hotel or anything. It is for the most part very clean and comfortable, as clean as a 200 year-old home can be. They do supply some basic amenities like iron, steamer, hair dryer, etc… Our package allowed for us to stay for 4 nights with almost all of our guests. When we first arrived it was nightfall, and the villa looked like something out of a scary movie. There were so many doors! However, during daylight, the house had a quirky charm to it and everyone really grew to love it. We all had a blast being together. Wedding: Our wedding planner Catarina, was always so helpful and we cannot thank her enough. Her team, although I did not really see much of them (because I was getting ready), executed everything as well I could hope for and worked so hard! Catarina hardly even needed me that day. She took care of everything, so it was stress free! We did not have any mishaps. The only thing was that it was inconsistently raining, so we had to have everything inside. I was really hoping for an outdoor wedding in their beautifully lush gardens, but it was too cold and wet. We made the decision to move everything indoors at the last possible moment, waiting to see if the weather would change, but still giving the vendors enough time so could still set up in a timely manner. Everything still worked out well. My only suggestions for the wedding planning would maybe if they could incorporate a structured rehearsal for the ceremony. My only critique, is that the website can be confusing and kind of outdated looking. It could use a make over. Wedding Food: Delicious! We opted with the barbecue menu. My favorite item was the morcilla. My guests could not get over the Brie! It was MASSIVE and scrumptious. All the desserts were soooo good and the selection was amazing. There was SO much food. You will not go hungry. Save room for dessert. Alcohol is what I consider mid-shelf, and the bartenders were great and fun! The people cooking and serving us worked very hard to keep everyone fed and satisfied, I cannot stress how courteous they were and the outstanding service they provided. DJ: Douglas was great! He entertained my guests with his playlists for our disco and with his own personality! He worked with the playlists we sent him for our special moments and added his own when necessary. Flowers: The flowers were lovely! They really lifted the ambiance of the Quinta and transformed the space. I especially loved my bouquet and the matching boutonniere for my groom and the garland for the dining table.

My husband and I got married July 19th, 2017. I'm Iranian and he's American and we were looking for somewhere in Europe to get married in. We looked at some countries; Greece, Croatia, Italy, Norway and as soon as I found this place, I knew this would be it. But booking a wedding venue online no matter how many wonderful reviews I had read about the place, I still had a bit of worry and stress wondering if I had done the right thing! BUT, as soon as I walked intoThe Quinta, all my stress and worry vanished! The venue is GORGEOUS! And everyone at The Quinta is so nice! Catarina, our wedding planner, truly brought our vision of a Persian/American wedding to life and I could not imagine a more perfect wedding! Thank you to everyone at The Quinta!

We had the absolute pleasure of getting married at The Quinta on May 13, 2017! There is not one bad word I could utter about this venue. The staff is professional yet warm. The catering was some of the best food we have ever eaten. They never let your wine glass drop below half full. The flower arrangements were more beautiful than any wedding I have ever attended. The DJ was on point and EVERYONE danced ALL night. Claudia found us a violinist who played for the ceremony and also played during dinner and dancing, we have never been more impressed by a musician than we were by him! If you are looking for an absolute fairy tale of a wedding, The Quinta is your place. HUGE praises for Claudia and Miguel, two very special humans who creativity and eye for beauty is seen at every turn. We had 84 guests and they all said that they had never been to a wedding quite like ours. Unique. Gorgeous. Perfect.

Our wedding was like a dream, the place is magical, the organisers are so helpful and kind, everything was so beautiful and we had so so much fun!
