Varandas a lisbona, a testa in su...
Staresti sempre con il naso in su per guardare i balconi...tutti diversi, da quelli tipici, ai coloratissimi a quelli in ferro battuto, in stile liberty, o più antichi, a quelli artistici come quello della mia foto... sono un pochino come il sorriso della città e anche il simbolo della sua apertura. Il Centro storico è un affaccio continuo di varandas, è difficile resistere alla tentazione di fare foto...i balconi sono dappertutto, ogni facciata ne è arricchita.

W przystępny i bardzo malowniczy sposób przedstawiona historia i dzieje Lizbony. Ekspozycja oddziałowuje na wzrok- ciekawe makiety, rysunki i eksponaty, słuch- muzyka + narracja z audioguide, węch- zapach kawy, wina, piwnicy... Dla mnie świetny pomysł!
Wspaniała lekcja dla dzieci i dorosłych.

It’s very basic history that is completely whitewashed! They don’t talk about the Moorish period at all, or the subsequent inquisition. They also don’t even acknowledge the slave trade or the suppression of indigenous peoples in their colonies, which ultimately lead to the profits that made Portugal so wealthy. Seems to me the Portuguese need to take a long hard look at their history and do some reflection/reforming to acknowledge the violence of their past and the consequences that has until this day.

Very informative. Highlight was definitely the short film showing the story of the earthquake and resulting tsunami. The smells of the herbs and spices in the trade section were a nice touch too.

With the Lisboa Card you get free access to the Lisboa Story Centre. This experience is more of an educational one, but not one I would recommend skipping if you enjoy learning about where you are visiting. You are provided with a GPS unit and headphones, and it tells you the story of Portugal as you walk through the Centre along with visual aspects to help illustrate the story.

Sehr interessanter Rundgang durch die Vergangenheit von Lissabon.
Audioguide auch auf Deutsch im Eintrittspreis inbegriffen.
Etwas für die Familie. Kinder unter 7 Jahren sind aber vermutlich etwas überfordert.
Ich empfehle am Abend in der Abenddämmerung das Museum zu besuchen und dann betritt man bei Dunkelheit den schön beleuchteten Platz. Genau zur rechten Zeit um eines der vielen tollen typisch portugiesischen Restaurants zu besuchen.
Bis 20:00 geöffnet. Letzter Eintritt 19:00 Uhr.

벽마다 모니터가 있고 오디오에 GPS 시스템이 내장되어 있어서
모니터 앞에 가면 자동으로 알맞는 설명이 나와요
리스본에 대한 역사를 알 수 있지만 계속 화면 보면서 설명을 듣다보니 살짝 지루했어요

Perfect museum but the staff at the entrance needs training. We were queueing for 30 min because it took 5min per visitor to hand out an audioguide and a ticket.
Also all visitors with the Lisbon card had to queue like everybody else

Interactive museum.
Free with Lisbon card, really recomend to visit.
You get your own headset (there are many languages, PT, FR, ENG and much more) and you go through many rooms with maps, models, videos etc and you learn about history of Lisbon. You can live the earthquake, see Marquis de Pombal working, smell the spices of carco ship etc. Really cool experience.

Ausstellung mit audio guide. An sich sehr gut ausgedacht. Anfangs auch interessant gemacht. Leider ist der Film überhaupt nicht kindgerecht. Man sieht tote und verletzte Menschen (realitätsnah) Und dann endet die Ausstellung. Also sehr kurz nur. 7€ ist dann zu viel für 15 Minuten. Für Kinder unter 10 nicht geeignet. Schade

We visited here on our second to last day but it's defintiely worth visiting on your first day in Lisbon as it gives a fun, concise and moving introduction to the city of Lisbon, providing great context for when you visit the attractions later.

An interesting place let down by its gaps in history. I was interested in Henry the Navigator and the voyages of discovery. But there was no real acknowledgement of the slave trade in Lisbon's past or how it paid for its development. Also nothing about the expulsion or massacre of Moors and Jews. And what about the end of empire and how it affected both Portugal and Lisbon.
But it did cover the earthquake and development of the Baixa area.

Very well presented history of Lisbon, from early establishment, age of exploration, 1755 earthquake and rebuilding. All accompanied by an audioguide which moves on accurately as you go through. Well worth the visit to give context to your location.

Man bekommt am Anfang einen Audioguide, der einen durch verschiedene Räume führt, welche mal mit Bildschirmen, mal mit Bildern die Geschichte Lissabons erklären und illustrieren. Das ganze ist wohl aber eher das für 6-12 jährige, wobei das kleine Kino bzw. der Film über das Erdbeben 1755 wohl erst für +10 jährige was ist. Umsonst (Lisboa Card) ok, für 7€ eher weniger empfehlenswert.

Das Museum ist auch für Kinder und Jugendliche sehr ansprechend gestaltet.

Visite très intéressante.
L'audio guide se déclenche automatiquement quand vous vous déplacez (géolocalisation).
Prix d'entrée très correct. Possibilité de billet combiné avec l'Arco de rua Augusta qui offre un magnifique point de vue sur la praça de Comerço.

C'est a travers 60 minutes de visite que le musée de l'histoire lisboète vous fait vivre les evènements marquants des portugais. Entre les différents peuples qui ont monopolisés le Porugal, la périodes des découvertes, la destruction puis la reconstruction de la ville.
L'avantage majeur de ce musée est que vous avez vraiment l'impression de revivre l'histoire. Vous rentrez dans des bateaux où vous pouvez facilement vous imaginer la façon dont les marins vivaient et ce qu'ils cherchaient. La montée dans les airs des portugais par un bateau-avion, légende portugaise est également interessante à écouter.
Enfin, une vidéo vous refait vivre le séisme de Lisbonne puis vous explique les raisons d'une telle reconstruction et la façon dont elle a été faite.
Un musée à ne pas manquer à mon sens et qui est si interactif que même des enfants ne peuvent pas s'ennuyer !

It was a very stressful experience, a disgraceful approach to tourism. My partner and I, wouldn't be left alone by random strangers who constantly trying to sell us drugs or people trying to convince us to visit their restaurants. We both found our visit to Lisbon very annoying, we wouldn't be left alone by all of these people. We felt like targets.

Grazie all'interazione tra il fruitore e le ricostruzioni fisiche e multimediali presenti all'intero, il museo si è rivelato molto particolare.
L'audioguida è realizzata in modo da rendere l'esperienza leggera e immersiva ed è disponibile in varie lingue.
Il percorso è molto coinvolgente, l'utenza più consona sono famiglie con bambini piccoli ma anche gli adulti potranno imparare qualcosa in più riguardo alla storia della capitale divertendosi al Lisbon City Center.
Unica pecca: la qualità delle animazioni, nonostante si rivelino molto chiare, a volte hanno un effetto "cheap" che lascia a desiderare un occhio più esperto.

It’s like listening to a bad movie script. A lot of clichés and long stretches of lines that add nothing. Nice props, but the audio guide leaves some to be desired. Without the audio guide, there isn’t a lot of info near the exhibition. Learned a bit about Lisbon’s past, but hoped for more.

Good place to go. You get a basic history lesson with the audio guides and videos and diaramas that they've created. It feels a bit like a junior high school level museum but it was raining when we went so it was a good way to spend a couple hours.

Tolle Gelegenheit um (geschichtliche) Hintergrundinformationen über Lissabon zu erhalten. Den Audioguide, der einen durch das Museum führt, gibt es in mehreren Sprachen und läuft (fast) problemlos von selbst ab. Gut ist auch, dass man sein Tempo selbst variieren kann bzw. Stationen sich auch mehrmals anhören kann. Das angekündigte 4D-Kino/Erdbeben-Simulator war leider etwas enttäuschend.

Displaying an untruthful narrative on Portuguese history. The exhibition shyes away from that Portugal was the biggest slave trading nation, building the wealth of Lisboa. Adding to this it is a narrow perspective on development hardly highligting any female cotribution throuout 2000 years of history.

Aconselho a visita, tem-se o conhecimento de Lisboa desde a fundação, pelos povos fenícios, passando pelo terremoto de 1755, ao passado bem contemporâneo, o da revolução dos oficiais de carreira contra à célere promoção dos oficiais milicianos, mais conhecido por 25 de abril de 1974.

Der Audioguide auf Deutsch führt einem an verschiedenen TV Stationen und Einrichtungsgegenständen zur Stadtgeschichte vorbei und auch in einen Extraraum zum grossen Erdbeben von 1755. Wir fanden es interessant und schön präsentiert. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es, weil die Dame an der Kasse ein mangelhaftes Englisch sprach. Sie erzählte irgendwas davon, dass sie nur 6 Stationen hätten, aber die Führung ging noch viele weitere Stationen weiter. Keine Ahnung, was sie damit gemeint hat. Den Punkt Abzug gibt es auch deshalb, weil wir erst spät entdeckten, dass der Audioguide manchmal ein paar Stationen miteinander aufführte und immer die aktuelle Stations-Nummer auf dem Guide grösser dargestellt wird. Eine sorgfältigere Einführung in den Audioguide wäre nicht schlecht, denn auch wenn man einen Schritt zuviel tut oder wieder rückwärts läuft, reagiert das Gerät sofort und man erhält ein Durcheinander in den Erklärungen. Der Punkt Abzug geht auch noch an den Raum über das Erdbeben. Wir lasen im Vorfeld, es sei spektakulär, was man da erlebe und wir dachten, es sei ein 4 D Erlebnis. Erwartet nicht zuviel von diesem Raum. Alles spielt sich bloss auf grösseren Bildschirmen ab, als im Rest des Museums. Kleineren Kindern empfehle ich dieses Erlebnis dennoch nicht, da es angsteinflössend wirken könnte. Wir hatten für einen Tag die Lissabon Card und dies war eine gute Entscheidung. Denn auch der historische Aufzug, der Torre de Belem, das Kloster und den öffentlichen Verkehr kann man damit ohne Aufpreis benutzen.
P.S. Ich lese bei den anderen Bewertungen was von unsauberen Toiletten. Bei unserem Besuch waren die Toiletten sauber und WC Papier vorhanden.

Nesse local que fica na Praça do Comércio funciona o Museu de História de Lisboa que é EXCELENTE!!! Muito bem montado, não é cansativo e dá para aprender muito sobre a história da cidade incluindo um vídeo sobre o grande terremoto de 1755 onde passa a sensação de estar no momento da tragédia. Não perca. Recomendo. Nesse mesmo lugar dá para pegar/comprar o Lisboa Card.

Positivo: história Geral da cidade de Lisboa.
Negativo: a história não inclui outros factos da história da cidade muito interessantes e que seriam obrigatórios, não fala sequer do episódio que envolveu Martin Moniz por exemplo. Tudo é apresentado através de pequenos filmes em monitores, nada de peças historicamente interessantes, tudo isso por um custo de 7€ por pessoa, quando os mesmos filmes poderiam ser oferecidos em serviço público através de um site na internet, e o espaço poderia ser usado para algo mais relevante para a cultura da cidade. A simulação do terramoto, é decepcionante.

Cons: Maybe not a con, but it would be great if the earthquake room was with vibrating chairs
Suggestions: This place should be the first place you see in Lisbon, after you see this, you will enjoy all the area better. There is no toilet after Earthquake room so be sure you visit it before you enter.

Museo molto carino e curato egregiamente, con la Lisboa card l'ingresso è gratuito, ma il costo è comunque più che accessibile anche pagando normalmente. Inoltre, viene fornita un'audioguida - indispensabile per la visita - nella lingua che si preferisce (l'italiano è presente). L'esposizione non è lunghissima, ma è molto ben fatta e non risulta per nulla noiosa, anzi! Consigliato per chiunque voglia conoscere la storia della città in modo leggero e divertente.

Un museo che non annoia! La visita si svolge con l'accompagnamento di un'indispensabile audioguida, con testi chiari e ben recitati, in varie lingue tra cui anche l'italiano. Il percorso racconta i fatti più importanti della storia di Lisbona attraverso video e ricostruzioni di ambienti e oggetti. Verso la fine, in una piccola sala cinematografica, c'è una parte emozionante dedicata al grande terremoto; ho trovato alcune delle scene abbastanza crude, per via dell'immersione dello spettatore tra i morti e il sangue: sconsiglierei la visita solo a chi può rimanerne troppo impressionato, ad esempio i bambini molto piccoli.

Great idea but poorly executed. Despite the advertising, it's not interactive. You wear an audio guide and wander between exhibition stages. The first few had video which was not synchronised to the audio and therefore much more difficulty to follow than they should have been. The theatre with the film about the earthquake was probably the best bit. Essentially it's a history of Lisbon with all the controversial bits erased. A bit boring for most kids... except history nerds.

A different kind of museum, worth a visit.
The mandatory audio guide takes you through the history of Lisbon, how it all started and how the city became what it is today. Especially the earthquake that devasted the city in 1755 is given a lot of space in the exhibition while more modern history is only covered in the extra exhibition "Interactive Lisbon" that I'm not 100% sure is permanent.
The audio guide can be kind of slow at time - and very quick to skip over a lot of history in some parts - and it is sometimes hard to match the speak to the location, it took me some time to get it all figured out. I still think it's a nice idea and in general it works well. Match the picture on the device to the picture or item in the room, that helps a lot!

Personal con pocas ganas de trabajar. Hemos llegado a las 19.52h para hacernos 2 tarjetas Lisboa Card, nos dice la chica que está cerrado ( cierran a las 20h). Comentamos que nos han mandado de la oficina del otro lado de la plaza, que les está dando problemas hacer las tarjetas. Nos dice que no nos la puede hacer. Mi marido le pide hoja de reclamaciones y ahora misteriosamente sí que nos la puede hacer. Tanto el personal de esta oficina como de la anterior con muy pocas ganas de trabajar. Si tratan así a quien les da el sueldo, mal vamos.

This was a decent museum and I did learn some of tha history of Lisbon. I had two problems that resulted in my 3 star rating. First: the audio guide is automatic but it is not always clear where to look as it doesn’t match up perfectly with the videos. This makes it hard to follow along. Second: the panoramic video about the earthquake was truly horrific. It is not for the faint of heart or maybe even for children. They should have a warning before going into this place, I was not prepared to watch people being crushed to death while at Sunday church.

We were reluctant in visiting this place, but the high rating, the wind outside and the included entrance with lisboa card convinced us. We don’t regret it. It was such a lovely trip to understand the history of Lisbon . The stories just transported us back in time. The one about the earthquake is just so sad. I am recommending this to anyone, don’t miss it, especially if you bought a Lisbon Card.

A ideia é maravilhosa, a exposição é magnífica, mas o sistema de áudio precisa de uma manutenção preventiva mais cuidadosa. Muitas vezes perdi informações importantes porque o meu aparelho recusava-se a funcionar, e era necessário mexer no fio para ouvir, o que nem sempre dava resultado.

Este museu é muito interativo, e o audioguia é automático. Você apenas anda pelos lugares e automaticamente o sistema dispara o audio referente a aquele espaço. Destaque para a sala das especiarias, com cheiros mais variados e gostosos. Destaque também para o filme que retrata o terremoto que destruiu Lisboa, e para a sala interativa, onde é possível visualizar a evolução da cidade até o terremoto, os danos causados por ele e a reconstrução da cidade.

It wasn't quite worth it. The descriptions were way too long and also, almost felt it was designed for children. It was still a nice snapshot of Lisbon's history but nothing you can't just Google or go through Wikipedia to read up on. Would recommend skipping.

A mi chemin entre musée et animation/exposition car pas de pièces historiques à proprement parlé mais plutôt une reconstitution interactive et médiatique, voire olfactive, des grands moments de l'histoire de Lisbonne de sa fondation en passant par son apogée au moment des grandes découvertes des explorateurs et le tremblement de terre de 1755 (qui occupe une grande partie de l'exposition) jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Très intéressant pour comprendre l'histoire de la ville et du pays.

First visit to Lisbon, I started from this center, located in Piazza do Comercio, which, taking advantage of multimedia technology, the use of fragrances, perfumes, sounds and special effects, tells, in a historical, cultural journey, the birth and evolution of Portugal. The nice thing is that the audio guides, in all languages, are activated as the path proceeds. Then in a room the great earthquake and subsequent tsunami of 1755 is reconstructed in a more than real way, Really realistic with computerized videos and authentic tossing of chairs ...

The tour is covered by the Lisbon pass and the experience is very immersive. You go through a ship and can actually smell the sugar and spices. The tour is very well guided by an audio system that is informative, funny or tragic depending on the subject matter being presented.

The museum covers the basic history of Lisbon within several rooms. There aren't any original objects, the exhibition is made out of large printouts and reconstructions. The included audio guide is free and essential for following the story as there are no captions. Unfortunately the GPS based activation is quite inaccurate and doesn't sync well with the exhibition.

Hermoso! Vayan!! Muy interesante e informativo. No se pierdan la planta alta que tiene unas cosas interactivas muy buenas. No iría con niños pequeños porque pasan un video un tanto violento sobre el terremoto y se pueden asustar.
Me encantó la audioguía. Creo que es el primer lugar para ir si llegas por primera vez a Lisboa porque te da un panorama general de la historia de la ciudad. Con la lisboa card no pagamos entrada

I was quite disappointing. We went because it was raining outside and my kids needed a place to go. I thought it would be more interactive but if you are a history buff, you may enjoy the place. The documentary was quite educational but my 6 yr old was terrified by it.

Interactive and easy way to learn more about Lisbon history. It takes just about 1-1,5h per visit. Great location and easy access. Not a must, but If you have that time to spare you will enjoy it!

Indispensable pour comprendre l'histoire de la ville et revivre le tragique tremblement de terre de 1755. Un parcours audio et vidéo très bien réalisé (disponible dans de nombreuses langues) qui dure environ 1h et vous ouvre la voix pour une visite de la ville réussie. De plus, situé au bord du tage sur la très belle place du commerce. Je recommande vivement

Imprescindible empezar la visita a Lisboa por aquí. De forma amena te explican la historia de Lisboa con audioguía y grandes dioramas. Imprescindible la sala que recrea el terremoto de 1755 (creo que dijeron ese año). Ideal niños. Venden también recuerdos, camisetas, gorras...
La visita termina en el piso de arriba, mucha gente sale sin verlo ni saberlo, hay que estar atentos para no perdérselo.
Recomendable comprar billete conjunto para subir al mirador del arco de la plaza del Comervio, vistas espectaculares en 360°.

Entra nos detalhes que se justificam para a exposição que é.
Aconselho a ver a exposição do piso 1, o Lisboa Virtual.
