The food was absolutely delicious, but you should NOT go here if you have any serious dietary requirements.
I asked if the totopos were gluten free. They said everything on them, and them themselves, were gluten free. I quizzed them a bit further, but in particular about the "cheese sauce" which I was suspicious of. Again, I was assured gluten free. I then asked them one final time after ordering to please check with the kitchen. They decided not to, and assured me they didn't need to check with the kitchen, and it'll be fine.
It was not fine.
2 days later, I am still unable to eat properly and spent a whole day of my holiday avoiding vomiting. So, avoid this place like the plague if you have dietary requirements. They will ignore them.
On the other hand, pistola y corazon taqueria round the corner, will consider them very well and the food is incredible. Go there instead if you need particular food requirements.

At the menu is written "everything fresh", but it is the biggest joke of that place. Everything taste like cooked two days ago and warmed in microwave.

English on the menu is very confusing, has ingredients that aren’t actually on the food. Food is lacking in flavor and small portions. For a place called Guacamole, their guac is mediocre and served in a 3 oz ramekin.. definitely was expecting much more. Service is extremely poor and although the bar tender was friendly, the server that served us was extremely unprofessional (we were the only table in the restaurant yet our server had all the time in the world to do anything but tend to us or check in). Definitely isn’t Mexican food, more so food that is Mexican style but still executed poorly. Wouldn’t recommend.

O atendimento foi bom.
O ambiente agradável.
Havia pouca variedade e estava espera de comida mais picante.
Comi um burrito que nao sendo extraordinário estava bom. E o taco foi o melhor comi recomendo.
A sobremesa foi brownie de chocolate e também não achei nada de mais.

Food is very tasty and prices are fair. We tried to go to the Pistola y Corazon around the corner but he line was huge. We ended up here and were really pleased. The environment could’ve been a bit more lively but we were served quickly and thoroughly enjoyed our burritos!

Some of the best Mexican food I have had.
The menu is easy to navigate where you decide what you want in your dish from the choices of rice, meat, sauces and extra.

This is just silly. They say the burrito is with both cheese and sour cream, we were 5 people and not anyone got either. I had 3 bites with guacomole, så don’t really understand why this place is called guacomole.

In hunt of a something good vegetarian food, we stumbled up on this amazing place. Nice and cosy interior and welcoming staff. The menu is diverse with customization for every stuff. The guacamole dip was so amazing. We tried the cheesy jalapeno, totopos,buriitos and tacos. Everything was top notch. And the price of the dishes was on point.

Sehr preisgünstig, für sehr leckeres Essen!
Das Essen kann man sich selber zusammenstellen (Burritos) und man muss trotzdem dass es frisch zubereitet wird höchstens fünf Minuten warten. Und das bei der Hauptstoßzeit!
Außerdem kann man in die Küche schauen.
Wir kommen wieder und freuen uns drauf!

This place should not be called guacamole lol... because the guacamole was terrible! The dishes were nothing like authentic Mexican food. The vegan options seemed super appetizing on the menu but tasted very subpar considering the price. Lack of flavor. Over cooked vegetables. soggy, tiny chunks of tofu. Stale nachos. And when ordering, I asked if I could have two kinds of rice and was rudely told no?? So strange. They easily could have given me half and half. The ONLY positive things I have to say about this restaurant are that the pico de gallo salsa was the yummiest I ever had and their cocktails were fabulous. Apart from that, worst Mexican food I’ve ever had.

Ordered, tortilla chips with guacamole, quesedilla, and a burrito. The tortilla chips were bad, not homemade or if they were, they tasted like any other chips shop bought, but not the good ones - they were thick. The namesake of the restaurant, ie the guacamole, had too much lemon juice, and tasted like it was watered out - really disappointing. Quesedillas were average, due to the blend of cheese which made it sweet and with the pepper made it overly sweet - needs something savoury to cut the sweetness. The burritos were good, filled ok, and the garlic sauce was a good alternative albeit a bit overpowering.

My husband and I had food poisoning after eating here. We asked two starters, that were OK. And for main course we asked tacos. The taste was no so good, so we both ate just 1 of 3. After arriving home, few hours later, We both started vomiting and having diarrhea. It was 2 days ago and we are still struggling to recover. Do not recommend it at all.

The guacamole is delicious, products are fresh and tasty.
The main dishes are also very good, not very big but really delicious.
Only bad mark : I wouldn't recommend the deserts.
But, in general, I would definitely recommend the restaurant !!

Fomos á hora de almoço, éramos um grupo de 20 pessoas...fomos bastante cedo como aconselhado pelo staff do restaurante e quando o restaurante estava ainda praticamente vazio. Ainda assim, tivemos 1h á espera de sermos servidos pois decidiram servir as mesas com menos pessoas primeiro, e escusado será dizer que entretanto o restaurante foi enchendo. Á parte desta experiência já lá fui outras vezes e é Ok.

Super smelly place with no ventilation. My body still can't realize if I'm out of the restaurant or not. Even though I only have a one time experience with Mexican food I would say there is plenty of options around the area one could go for before trying this one. Cocktails might be good though.

Very tasty food, low price. Service was helpful and friendly. The not so good: The restaurant and especially the decoration of the served burrito gives you more a fastfood than a restaurant feeling.
Usually I would give 4 instead of 5 stars because of the atmosphere, but the restaurant is ways better than other mexican restaurants here around and that's why I will visit soon again. I prefer tasty mexican food at the half price over expensive tasteless food with nice decoration.

Nice little spot that’s kid friendly, came to eat around 7:30 with my two children, most of the restaurants located in central Lisbon this time of night seem to be more of a bar atmosphere. We walked into this place and it was a very pleasant surprise. The waitstaff took just a minute to get
to our table,’once they arrived and took our orders, they typed into their electronic pad and the food started to roll out.. we weren’t even finished ordering.. and the food and drinks had arrived. I would say impeccable service, great friendly attitude and most of all the food was delicious!!! Would definitely recommend!!

Que agradável surpresa este "Guacamole". Espaço fantástico com uma decoração a condizer e atendimento super simpático, descobri este espaço por acaso. Como amante de comida mexicana não hesitei em entrar e foi uma experiência muito agradável. Fui super bem recebido e a comida era do melhor que já provei em Lisboa. Recomendo a qualquer um e a qualquer hora, é mesmo um restaurante boa onda. Provei o Guacamole, o chili e os tacos e estava tudo delicioso. Os preços são bastante acessíveis para aquilo que se pratica naquela zona ou seja é um espaço que prima pela honestidade.

I won't recommend this restaurant orders for services like UBER EATS or Glovo during the #QUARANTINE. Today I made an order and was totally deceiving. I order burritos for both my daughter and I, and they were awfully prepared, the rice was old and hard, the bife grelhado which I paid extra was also old, black and hard, besides I live 5' away from the place in a bike and both others were cold AF.
I also ordered a home cheesecake and it was burned and the topping not enough.
I had order before from them and rarely felt deceived but to be honest under this circumstances it's unforgivable to receive an order in such a bad state.
BEWARE of it.

Tive uma jantar de grupo, foram pedidos vários pratos, eu experimentei Chilli de Carne que estava bom e equilibrado ao nível de picante. Depois como prato pedi um burrito de frango grelhado, arroz mexicano, salsa mais picante e pimentos jalapeños, fiquei desiludido pois o picante do burrito era muito fraco, atendimento atencioso mas um pouco lento.

Take away - we took a rake away and they gave us no forks or spoons - really unprofessional; I was driving and had to wait for a really long before J could eat the rice bowl
Taste - really average, customization is a joke - they prepare what they have to.
Restrooms - no lock was available from inside.

Podrían también mejorar en lo picante, la salsa roja es la más "picante" con 3 fueguitos y no picaba nancy pero estaba sabrosa. El agua de jamaica sabe extremadamente auténtica.

The only two good things in the menu are the corn cob (Elotes) and the drinks. This is not Mexican at all, the carnitas are far away from the real thing, avoid the tacos. Tortillas not fresh. Good service though.

Atendimento péssimo.
O restaurante recusou-se a aceitar o Zomato Gold. Quando comecei o pedido, disse que queria ativar o Gold, o empregado de mesa nada disse. Quando pedi as segundas bebidas, disse novamente. Novamente, ignorou e simplesmente trouxe as bebidas. Ativei o Zomato de qualquer forma. No final, ao pagar, o empregado de mesa olhou para a hora que foi ativo o gold e disse que não o aceitava por ter sido depois do pedido inicial, ignorando na totalidade o número de vezes que manifestei que o iria ativar. Dessa forma, a conta foi cerca de 20€ acima do que seria.
Foi má vontade por parte do funcionário, que tendo o sistema WinRest, poderia simplesmente ter retirado o valor das bebidas.

It's delicious and prices are very reasonable.
The guacamole additional in the menu isn't a side dish but they put it inside the meal. So if you want guacamole as a side dish then make sure you ask for it as a side dish and not as an extra supplement.

The food is amazing. I've had the sweet potato fries, tortilla chips, burrito and chilli com carne. Highly recommend the burrito and the tortillas with guacamole. They are amazing. The service could be better though.
The Margaritas are also really good. I have tried the Strawberry and Tropical and highly recommend both.
The environment is pretty chill and very nicely decorated.

I come here 3-4 times every year when I happen to be in Lisbon, and I’m never disappointed. The food is always outstanding, the drinks are great and the people are nice!
They’re also super understanding and can accommodate fairly large groups, so come eat and drink with friends!
If you happen to be in Lisbon, give this place a shot: you’ll love it!

Ate here on my last day during a Lissabon trip. We were 7 persons who ate here and 6 of us became heavily food poisoned.... The staff was also not nice at all and seemed very stressed. We all came to conclusion that it probably was the carnitas that made us sick.

Local mejicano con buen ambiente. La comida está buena aunque un poco escasa en las raciones. El precio más que competitivo, barato. Мне очень понравилось пиво по-мексикански - прям отвал башки! Еще кесадилья зачетная, хоть и без мяса. А вот такос отвратный. Чили кон карне понравится любителям острого. В целом неплохое заведение, цены не оч высокие для тур центра, но нам не понравилось вот что: мы пришли в 11:58, дверь была открыта, зашли внутрь, но нам сказали, что они открываются в 12:00. Ок, мы подождем за столиком у окна, решили мы. Но нас попросили подождать снаружи. WTF???

The most delicious Mexican food in a modern restaurant in a part of Lisbon with fun vibes! The food was top quality- prior to my experience in this restaurant, I don’t think I’ve ever had a Vegetarian burrito as delicious as the one I ate here. They serve quality vegetarian/vegan options and the atmosphere is really great for all types of occasions- be it dining with a group of mates or as a choice of restaurant for date night or even for a solo experience. Staff were also very attentive. Highly recommend!

Gostaria de deixar o alerta que foi furtado um telemóvel neste estabelecimento e que após ter chamado a Psp no dia seguinte apareceu o respectivo telemóvel deixado pelo próprio gerente na esquadra. No minimo é de estranhar e de supor que só por ter sido por algum empregado do restaurante. A comida é má e não merece o preço que se paga provavelmente porque é comida mexicana confeccionada por indianos! Alguma coisa está mal! Uma grande desilusão!

Really great place! The food is fantastic as the drinks, and even if the place was crowded, we had special attentions from the waiters. By the way, their goucamole is really delicious.

I love this place! It’s literally the perfect spot for a snack or an entire dinner. The staff is remarkably attentive and simply amazing. I lived in Lisbon for a while and I brought almost all of my friends here. The vegans among them loved it just as much as the non-vegans. I’ll be back soon Guacamole!

For my US friends, this restaurant is better than Chipotle!!! Incredible quality food, especially for the great price. The ambiance and staff are wonderful as well. So lucky to have found this place!

El restaurante es Pura pinta, la verdad la comida no es buena. Nos comimos un burrito cada uno, una quesadilla y unos tacos. El precio es NORMAL ( no es para nada barato )

Los burritos TERRIBLES. No se distinguen los ingredientes del interior. La tortilla de afuera fría y muy aguada.
La atención es bastante regular. Nos trajeron la comida primero y luego de 10 min nos trajeron la bebida a pesar de que la pedimos en varias oportunidades.
Lo único bueno es el local es lindo y espacioso
No lo recomiendo si quieren comer buena comida mexicana.

Man kann mega leckere selbst zusammengestellte, preiswerte Borritos und Tortillas essen. Alle sind freundlich und die Toiletten sind sauber. Man kann mit Karte zahlen. Es gibt auch Möglichkeiten ein wenig privater und abgeschottet zu sitzen in einer kleinen Niesche. Sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Vorallem die Limo de la casa ist echt lecker.

Local bem localizado, perto do mercado da Ribeira (Time out). O espaço, embora um pouco pequeno, tem uma decoração simples e bastante agradável. Aqui é também possível comprar produtos tipicamente mexicanos para levar para casa.
Foi a minha primeira experiência de comida mexicana e gostei bastante! A relação preço? qualidade é bastante boa e há uma boa variedade de produtos. Os funcionários foram bastante prestáveis e esclareceram prontamente as minhas questões e não houve tempo de espera praticamente nenhum.
Espaço a visitar novamente!

Fast and friendly service, prices are absolutely ridiculous for the quality and the amount of the food, and definitely do try the cheesecake, some of the best I’ve ever had. Five stars from me.

Local ruidoso, personal poco profesional que parece que te están presionando para marchar, ni una sonrisa, además de que tuvimos que pedir los cubiertos para comer en repetidas ocasiones, no había ningún plato sin romper o descascarillar, las patatas estaban quemadas, la comida es potable si no tienes nada más... La disposición de las mesas un poco incómoda ya que esta lejos del banco, los baños sin limpiar.

El sitio no tenía mucha gente pero el camarero que ha tomado la comanda no paraba de gestuar prisa y molestia. En la carta que tienen se puede escoger ingredientes razón por la cual se tarda más en ir diciendo todo... Y al ser nuevos no sabíamos muy bien como pedir.. pero me ha resultado desagradable.
Las sonrisas brillan por la ausencia.( Ninguna sonrisa en ningún camarero)
Los platos todos tenían roturas...
Las patatas... Mejor ver foto!! En general mal.
Ahora entiendo porqué en el otro mexicano cercano llamado pistola y corazón estaban completos y había lista de espera y aquí había mesas de sobra.
Comida mexicana pasable.. 3 estrellas, si no hay otra cosa, al menos puedes comer burritos, tacos, nachos, chili, etc..

A great Mexican place!
Three menu is kind of rudimentary but it's very tasty!
The ambience was really chill and it wasn't loud or noisy; the decoration of this place is absolutely gorgeous and really pulls you in if you're into neon and pretty memorabilia.
The price is very reasonable and the drinks are incredible as well!
Would recommend without a doubt! A great place to take your friends for a lunch ☺️

Das Essen ist der Hammer Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und gibt Empfehlungen zu den einzelnen Gerichten. Das lokal ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Preise sind vollkommen in Ordnung und eher im unteren Preissegment angesiedelt.

Tbh as a veggy this place is mediocre. It’s more like a spiced up Chipotle in my opinion. Definitely has a fast food feel to it rather than a restaurant vibe.
Nothing wrong with it but the burrito doesn’t taste like much and I wouldn’t pay that price again.
Stuff is very friendly and helpful.
Also a plus that take away is really quick!

I was in Lisbon for 3 Days and I went to Guacamole 3 times!
It's close to the Mercado da Ribeira and is some of the best Mexican food I've tried.
The Jalapeno Cheese poppers, the Tacos, the Quesadillas and the Burritos were all great!
Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Comida boa porem demorou muito para nos avisar q não havia chilli um dos pratos mais tradicionais da culinária mexicana esperamos quase 40 min para depois o garçom nos avisar pedimos a sobremesa e também mais 30 min e não foi servida pedimos a conta e fomos comer sobremesa em outro local. Atendimento deixa muito a desejar salvo um garçom que deve ser mesmo mexicano que é muito simpático . A outras opções de restaurante mexicano no bairro.

New Mexican on the block! Which is great! Way cheaper the Ficheras and WAAAY better the Mez Cais! It’s a super relaxed place putting out great simple Mexican food. The variety isn’t overwhelming, but with nachos for 2eur and margaritas at 5eur.. it’s pretty much unbeatable. Won’t compare it to pistola y corações cause they’re completely different concepts. But I highly recommend this place for groups! Food is great and so are the drinks! Only downside is that during the week they close at midnight. Friday’s and weekend they go till 2am tho.
