Muito Mau. Comi Sardinhas que não eram assadas no dia. Sobremesa ananás, já estava cortado à dias impossível de comer. Para não falar que se enganaram na conta e iamos pagar 14euros a +. Não recomendo

Awful and overpriced. Do NOT eat here. I did not think it was possible to cook chicken horribly, but they managed it. Dry bread. Stale chips. Octopus was passable at best. Meh service. And you can only pay with cash.

The worstplace weate while in Lisbon, just a tourist trap. The service was a joke, they ignore you and argue with each other. I had the seafood rice: boiled rice with added tomato sauce from a can, the seafood itself was a sad shrimp and a fake crab stick.

This place made me furious! Fado was fine, but the rest was awful. We have ordered the octopus with rice and they brought a very salty soup. Also my lamb was bones for the most, and the salad was incredibly poor, we asked for salt and paper abd didn't get it at all, the worst place I ever visited (((( and then they said that they take CASH ONLY...without warning

Terrible service. Rude waiter. Over-priced very mediocre food. One song an hour Fado. Do not recommend. Go to Tasca do Chico across the street instead (but don’t forget to make a reservation like we did).
We ended up at this place after a guy standing in the front persuaded us in for “free fado”.
A waiter came and put out a handful of appetizers on our table as soon as we sat down and told us anything we ate would be added to our bill, whatever we didn’t eat they would take back. These plates look like they had been sitting out for HOURS and looked extremely stale and soggy. Especially the fried sardines... We figured they just recycle these plates whenever people don’t want them. When we looked at the menu for prices, the teeny tiny dish of sardines cost 7EUR each (the waiter had put out three of these dishes on our table - what a TRAP)! Despite that, we were interested in trying at least the sardines because they looked interesting and unique, but asked if the waiter could get fresher/hot ones. The waiter laughed at us and said he could put them in the microwave for 10 seconds if we wanted. LOL. I don’t cook that much and even I know that fried foods don’t reheat well in the microwave....what a joke. He took them back anyways and microwaved them for us and they were still cold when we got them.
Next, we ordered our main courses. We were a big group four families at a bunch of tables pulled together and asked if we could split the check per family and the waiter agreed with no hesitation. The service was SO SLOW. Somehow it didn’t get communicated that we were actually one big group and to bring out everything together. So instead, the dishes got out one by one in order of how we ordered - snaking around the long table. The service was so slow that one side of the table finished their dishes before the other side of the table got their food. I literally waited 45 minutes for my food to come out, all while watching the person in front of me slowly finish their dish. When we asked what was taking so long the waiter said it was because we asked for separate checks. WTF. That was an error on his part for not informing the kitchen. Not our fault. I felt so bad for the little kid who ordered last (literally the youngest person at the table). I ended up giving her my soup to nibble on because she was starving.
Lastly, one of the soups that came out was almost inedible because it was too salty. Tasted like someone had dropped the whole salt shaker into the soup by accident... we first asked for lemons to see if we could fix the flavor. The lemons never came out. As the service was TERRIBLE AND SO SLOW, the poor guy who ordered the soup started nibbling at the octopus bits. After 20 minutes of not getting any attention from our waiter, his wife literally brought the soup to the front to ask for a replacement. The waiter came over and said he could not exchange the soup because it looked liked it had been eaten. When we complained that it was because we couldn’t get anyone’s attention (literally had to walk to the kitchen with the plate), he took the plate back and offered the poor guy who had ordered the soup a complementary dish.... of the teeny tiny cold, stale sardines. That is not a replacement meal. He literally went home hungry and we still got charged for the dish. WHAT A JOKE.
Furthermore, our bill was ridiculous for the food quality and service that we got. We probably heard 4 Fado songs over the course of three hours. I really thought they’d be more entertainment / that’s what brought us in.
I would’ve enjoyed going to Pingo Doce for a casual rotisserie chicken and salad at a park with a view at one of the miradoures (100x over) than doing this again - actually did that the next night and it was lovely.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading. I rarely write reviews, and when I do never this in-dept or this negative. But that was how awful my experience was so just trying to help other people out! Enjoy Lisbon! It’s a beautiful city :)

Eu odiei e não recomendo. Estávamos uma amiga e eu e o garçom nos tratou muito mal. Colocaram um prato sujo na minha mesa e quando fui falar com o garçom ele tomou o prato da minha mão e jogou outro. Além disso, estava sendo muito atencioso a outros cliente e horrível conosco. Nos sentimos discriminadas. Além disso, foi a pior caipirinha q já tomei. Sem gosto algum, só água e açúcar. Dinheiro desperdiçado. Existem muitos outros restaurantes com apresentação de fado na mesma rua, evitem este! I hate this place.

Food was fine. The biggest minus is the service- one waiter attracts you inside and then does not care about you for the whole time- only checking his phone!!! Waiters are super slow, everything takes so much time even the restaurant was basically empty. The whole time we were there they did not bother to clean the table after people that left (that is why other people did not sit down and they lost customers).The chef passing by cleaned it.
I will not visit this place anymore and I do recommend changing waiters there.

The food was a disaster, my octopus meant to be grilled but it was mushy and not seasoned. My girlfriend vegetarian sausages they were not eat able, I can't justify any reason someone wants to go there.

Awful food! Wouldn't even feed this to my dog and he's on a raw diet!! Staff are unfriendly and didn't even bring back the change from the bill at the end of the meal! Poor! If I could rate this in negative stars I would! Don't waste your time or money

AVOID!!! We had lunch there bc of the friendly waiter but it was just to lure you in. Service was terribly slow for lunch even though there weren’t many people and there were at least 5 waiters. No matter who you ordered something to, you were left waiting for it for about 20 min or never arrived, like the oil & vinegar we had asked for to season the salad.
If you add the poor quality of the food to all of this, you have all the reasons to STAY AWAY from this place!

This place was so delicious. Not only was the food excellent (had the seafood rice), the cocktails were incredibly good with fresh fruits. On top of that, we had live music when we ate which was a pleasant surprise.
Shocked by the reviews, because it was excellent. I strongly recommend ! One of my top places in Lisbon.

Empoisonnement alimentaire suite à l'ingestion de sardines apparemment pas fraîches... malade toute la nuit, une nuit et une journée de vacances gâchées... chanteuses de fado excellentes, mais ne chantent que 10 minutes et s'en vont en face... drôle de façon de considérer les touristes entre nourriture pas fraîche et spectacle à mi-temps...

The food was not particularly good. My seafood and rice was served lukewarm and was pretty bland. They serve you appetizers that you need to pay for only if you eat them, and if you don’t, they just move them to another table. Bread is 1 euro per person, but they don’t tell you that. Our waitress was imposing and rather condescending. Their credit card machine “wasn’t working”. The music was very good though.
Do not go here.

Genuinely worst meal I've ever paid for. Convinced by charming man at the door but as soon as we entered it all went downhill - started by being ignored for 15 minutes followed by poor service.
Food was served with cling film still in situ from where its been microwaved. Chips, rice, chicken and sausage all cold and taste the same.
€3.50 for vegetables... aka half a brocoli floret, again, somehow overcooked beyond belief. Great if you need new squash balls but not so good for food.
Avoid this place!!

Porażka! Jedzenie niedoprawione, „koncert” fado przerwany po 3 piosenkach, „naganiacze” nie odpuszczają żadnemu z przechodniów. Wisienką na torcie jest brak możliwości płatności kartą, o której dowiadujemy się podczas regulowania rachunku.

Haben uns einfangen lassen. Danach wurden direkt speisen ohne bestellung auf den tisch gestellt. Uns wurde auch direkt eine flasche statt der bestellten karaffe angedreht. Sind dann ohne essen gegangen. Absolute Katastrophe, abzocke

Like other restaurants in Portugal , they charge extra for bread and butter for the table,,,,,,here they charge for each piece of bread and each container of butter!
Waitress was nice.
Fado music was good.
Please spend your euros somewhere else!

Careful, they charge per person for the bread and butter! Lol the food was horrible. Like spending 20 euro for some bad hot dogs (churiso) and fries (papa frita) . The fish that the couple had next to us was bad. There are better places for sure. Close your eyes and pick another.

Good value lunch menu
We chose this restaurant for lunch because it was close to our hotel and there seemed to be a few people eating there. The lunch menu is really good value - bread, butter, olives and soup to start with followed by your choice from 2 fish dishes or 2 meat dishes. Drink and dessert is included to. The food was good and the service was attentive. We particularly enjoyed eating our lunch outside sitting in the sunshine.

Visité este lugar buscando dónde almorzar en el barrio. Me pareció que el precio era razonable y alguien que asumo era el dueño o administrador, fue muy amable en invitarme a sentarme. El caldo verde estaba delicioso y el lombinho de porco apanado estaba bien, pero mejorable. Las patatas fritas caseras y deliciosas. Pedí una copa de vino que no pude terminar porque no sabía bien, terminé ordenando una cerveza, que era Sagres y muy buena. Para el postre elegí el mousse de fresa y tenía mucha agua y no era apetitoso, pero no sabía mal.
Creo que el gran problema era la lentitud del camarero y que a ratos se olvidaba de lo que uno pedía, pero en su defensa, creo que era el único camarero que estaba trabajando en ese momento.
Creo que volvería, de todas formas.

atendimento normal, música boa, mas comida muito fraca ,alias falta ética pela dona do restaurante, o meu jantar foi parar ao casal do meu lado ,em seguida o casal recusou o prato,logo e pouco tempo o mesmo prato veio parar as minhas mãos. Não aconselho a ninguém.

NEVER EAT THERE!
Les plats sont littéralement inmangeables! Nous étions 4 et seulement 1 plat a été touché et on a du négocier une demi heure pour avoir une ristourne. Les prix sont attractifs mais ca ne vaut même pas les 9 euros. Je demande a la serveuse si c’est normal que la salade de fruits soit des fruits en conserve elle me répond oui.
C’est un scandale. N’y allez jamais!
Ce n’est même pas une question de goût étant donné qu’un de nous est portugais et connais ces plats. Ce n’était simplement ni frais ni bon.

If you are not hungry you can go there, otherwise not recommended! The food was so inedible that we couldn't eat everything and were still hungry in the end.
Wenn man keinen Hunger hat kann man hingehen, sonst nicht zu empfehlen! Das Essen war so ungenießbar, dass wir nicht alles essen konnten und am Ende immer noch Hunger hatten.

O Projecto Diag/Comissões Sociais de Freguesia de Santo André, União de Freguesias de Santiago do Cacém/Santa Cruz/São Bartolomeu da Serra e Cercal do Alentejo, esteve num almoço com 30 idosos e 5 técnicos, no Retiro dos Sentidos. Fomos recebidos com a simpatia e boa disposição do Tobias. Apraz-nos dizer...que o local é muito acolhedor. A comida é espectacular, com aquele sabor caseiro, bem confecionado e muito bem servido, a cargo do Manel e da Florinda. A simpatia do Zé e da Sandra, que serviam às mesas foi de uma generosidade e carinho com os nossos idosos, pelo que a empatia foi imediata. Tudo isto...acompanhado com momentos de Fado, com o profissionalismo e a voz estrondosa da fadista Carla Sofia, acompanhada por Hugo Cação à viola e Nuno Cacho à guitarra. Foram momentos que fizeram felizes os nossos idosos. Queremos agradecer à Gerente, Dona Isabel Gonçalves, que esteve na retaguarda deste sucesso. Bem hajam!

El menú del día por 9€ muy bien,incluye aceitunas,pan,mantequilla,bebida,entrante, primer plato, postre y café.Tal y como son los precios en Lisboa centro ,éste está muy bien relación calidad-precio.Nos atendieron rápido y con amabilidad.La única pega sería que no se puede pagar con tarjeta(cosa que dudo).

Lugar muy turístico y cocina no del todo auténtica, cordero muy hecho y bacalao mejorable. Postres y vino muy recomendables. Lo positivo fue disfrutar de un fado y vivir esa experiencia en directo pero no es la mejor opción ni la única existente. Atención por parte del personal muy buena pero intentan siempre cobrarte más poniéndote entrantes que no has pedido oara amenizar la espera de la comida.

Great dinner experience with good value, accompanied by Fado music. There was some line around the beginning of the music (20:30), but in each break, some tables went away so more people could go in.
We enjoyed the Fado music so much and the singers were awesome! However, we wish that the breaks could have been shorter (each breaks was too long, maybe around 20-25 minutes) and the intervals could have been longer (4 songs per interval).

We had a good experience at this restaurant. Portions were large and food very tasty. Easy to find in the menu meals that our children were happy with. Nothing pretentious, just good and simple. We also listen to fado music, the purpose of our dinner there.

We read good reviews about "Tasca do Chico" (food & Fado), but it was all booked and had a lineup. This place was just across the street and looked decent, with just a few people inside, so we tried it before reading the reviews. Bad move. First, they gave us two appetizers "if you eat, you pay" (cod salad, beans & beacon, €7/each). We didn't. Took it from our table after 15min, and served it to another table. How long are these appetizers moving around!? We asked the waiter about some items on the menu, seems annoyed, unfriendly and cold. The restaurant wasn't even busy. Food is about €10/plate, and tastes as such. My wife didn't even finish her food. I ate mine, but it was blend and underseasoned. The traditional veggie soup with sausage, is literally one slice of sausage. The best part was the Fado, but unfortunately short. Two singers, two songs each, and then about a 45min break. They try to sell CDs after, but are not pushy. We got our desert when they came for the 2nd time, but we were given the bill with our desert. They don't accept credit cards, but luckily we had enough cash on us. The waiter kept looking at our table to pay the bill. We felt rushed out. Would not recommend this place. Tourist trap with not much to offer.

Attrape touriste, nous confirmons. Le riz au fruits de mer préparé avec du surimi... très limite. Sur les 4 plats commandés seul le plat du jour était correct.
Le serveur est sympa et accueillant, on peut avoir une petite expérience fado, voilà les 2 points qui apportent les 2 étoiles.

No se merece ninguna estrella. No avisan de que no admiten tarjeta,aunque eso sería lo de menos si la comida fuera medianamente normal . El peor bacalao . Mal servicio. No tenían copas para el vino. Todo negativo

Horrible service..we ordered a soup, salad and grilled shrimp and it took 30 minutes and the shrimp was not even deveined. We asked for our bill and she told us to hold on and went out for a smoke. Awful!!! So not go here!!!

Run away as fast as you can! Food is absolutely terrible and not even safe to eat - We all felt sick after having a lunch here. There's so many great restaurants in Bairro but sadly this one is the worst I've ever been to. Such a shame such place exist. I wonder how bad it must feel to be an owner of a restaurant which makes people literally throw up. Please shut it down and let someone else have an opportunity to use the great location to make a place worth visiting.

We were recommended this place by some friends saying it's a good place to listen to fado. We were quite worried about all the bad reviews that we had read, but decided to give it a go nontheless. Our waiter was an older man whom i can't exactly call rude but he wasn't the friendliest either. We asked him to help us order and sometimes we didn't really hear him or we needed a bit more time to decide and he looked a bit annoyed. However, the food was nice, but nothing to write home about. As for fado, we found the singers very talented, although we would have wished the singing lasted more time.

Péssimo atendimento!!! A minha mãe idosa de 67 anos foi sozinha ver o fado, tentamos fazer reserva e disseram que não era necessário. Ela sentou mas pediram para ela se retirar e, por fim, chamaram a POLÍCIA para tirá-la do local! Mesmo ela não oferecendo resistência alguma. ABSURDO. Não recomendo!!!

Bestellung wurde vergessen und musste deshalb 8 Jahre warten. Essen an sich ist ganz in Ordnung.

Schrecklich!!
Würde eigentlich 0 Sterne geben weil der Service war unter aller Sau. Von der Größe der Speisen würde eventuell ein dreijähriger Satt werden aber mehr nicht. Außerdem ist es eine Sauerei Vorspeisen auf den Tisch zu stellen ohne diese bestellt zu haben und dann erst im Nachhinein zu sagen dass man diese bezahlen kann muss wenn man sie isst.

Horrível, não recomendo este lugar.Adoro fado e, além das fadistas cantarem bem, foi mais o tempo que estiveram caladas do que a cantar. Duas fadistas cantavam dois fados cada uma e faziam intervalos intermináveis. Durante o meu jantar só houvi 4 fados, inadmissível.
Alem disto a sala é muito pequena muito quente e as pessoas são colocadas em cima umas das outras. Sai de lá a cheirar a comida.

Sadly I agree with the majority of the reviews for this place. Our meal was not only very delayed, the meal (lamb) turned up so dry it was very hard to swallow. Potatoes were boiled, not roasted as stated in the menu, and the spinach was most definitely frozen from a bag - easy spot to spot if you’re any kind of cook. We’ve seen so many wonderful, fresh vegetables around Portugal, and we get frozen ones? Bizarre. Don’t eat here. Be warned. Maybe Gordon Ramsey needs to come to Lisbon and give them some much needed help!!

Super miejsce na lunch (od 12) lub obiad (od 19). Jedzenie smaczne, lokalne przysmaki i przemiła obsługa. W czasie fado nie można rozmawiać ale czy to źle? Obok druga knajpa tego samego właściciela, z muzyką na żywo wieczorem, czynna od 17. Korzystaliśmy w 6 osób i wszyscy byli zadowoleni.

Service war sehr schlecht! Obwohl wir zweimal gefragt haben zu zahlen, haben wir 50 Minuten gewartet und mussten selber reingehen und zahlen. Die wollten einfach so alle draussen behalten damit es voll aussieht, sehr frech.
Das Essen war auch sehr durchnittloch und dafür teuer. Typische Touristenfalle leider..

La comida no fue de lo mejor de Lisboa. Tardamos media hora en que nos trajeran la cuenta. Cuando por fin lo conseguimos levantandonos a por ella nos dijeron que no podíamos pagar con tarjeta. Fuimos a por dinero y a la vuelta vimos a gente pagando con tarjeta. Pedimos el libro de reclamaciones y se negaron a dárnoslo. El trato fue bastante vejatorio. No volveré jamás.

Nos timaron con los precios. Tardaron mucho en servir y cuando fuimos a pagar nos dijeron que no aceptaban tarjetas. Tuvimos que dejar a uno mientras que íbamos a sacar dinero y al volver vimos como a otras personas si se las aceptaban. Fatal el sitio. Pedimos libro de reclamaciones y no nos lo dieron.intenyar evitar a toda costa.

People... calm down. Most of the Fado places in Barrio Alto require you to order a main dish (the ones that don't require a reservation or waiting on long lines), and almost every place in europe will charge you for bread and not tell you! Is it amazing food? Of course not, but their cod dishes are about 10 euro each and taste pretty darn decent (try the brás; potato/sticks weird mix). The Fado singers will try to sell you their cd's after a couple sets, other than that, place was decent.

Los precios de la carta no incluyen el iva, cuidado! Que luego viene la cuenta y te lo añaden. Una pena porque la comida estaba muy buena

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID !!! Typical tourist trap. The food was not acceptable to be served. My girlfriend got a huge stomach ache 20 minutes after only tasting the dish which she obviously left. We paid 100 € for something that shouldn't be even served to people.

Comida buena y sitio normalito del Barrio Altl para ver/escuchar algo de Fado (la "atracción" de estos bares para captar clientes ya que si no muchos de ellos no los tendrían..). El Fado empezaba a decaer a medida que se llenaba el bar. La comida está buena aunque la cerveza está cara, a 5€ la jarra.

Locale commerciale, fatto apposta per i turisti che vogliono ascoltare il fado e che non vogliono fare la fila alla Tasca do Chico. Anche qui è possibile ascoltare il fado ma poi la catantante gira per i tavoli e cerca di venderti i suoi cd. Il cibo è al di sotto della media.

Una trampa para turistas.
Teniendo en cuenta que el resto de licales buenos de fado estaban llenos y que el "rrpp" que estaba de portero nos asaltó por la calle, decidimos cenar alli mi novia y yo. Ya nos avisa la persona de la puerta qye hasta las 12 no habria fado asi que decidimos sentarnos fuera. Ya resulta raro que te asalten para cenar y tarden 10 minutos de reloj en llevarte la carta y otros tantos la bebida. La comida como tal no estaba mala, la ensalada de pulpo bastante buena. La sorpresa fue que cuando nos percatamos que iban a cantar no nos dejaron entrar!!! Resulta que si te sientas fuera te puedes olvidar de oir cantar. Y despues de la cuenta con las cervezas a 5€ unidad (el doble que una cocacola) tampoco puedes pagar con tarjeta...
Ni volveré ni lo aconsejaré. Lastima no haber leido antes los comentarios...

Authentiek Portugees eten. We hadden waarschijnlijk de verkeerde keuzes gemaakt, want bij beide buren zag het eten er lekkerder uit. De Fado-muziek was goed en mooi. Het was leuk om buiten te zitten en de zangeressen te observeren, ze waren de hele tijd aan het paraderen, flaneren en bellen met de buurt. De gerechten die wij namen waren niet heel lekker bereid, maar de ervaring die we erbij hadden was goed.

Welcome to Tourism Traps 101! Absolutely terrible food, they force starters on you and sell overpriced drinks and let's not get started on the second rate fado which shouts in your ears making you half deaf. The food was absolutely trash, the steak I was presented with looked like someone scraped Gandhi's flip flop off of the bottom of the grill and coated it in some "mysterious" creamy substance. The chicken skewers were dried rubbers and the vegetarian sausage was coated in plastic and looked like they took it from the rear end of their pet dog. Don't bother going there

Nos pusieron un pan durisimo en rodajas y dos panes enteros imposibles de comer ( nos cobraron más de 2 euros por el), nos pusieron unos platos y se nos explicó que eran unos entrantes, solo nos los cobraban si probabamos, queríamos pedir unos entrantes asiq accedimos a comer lo que nos pusieron ya que en la carta ponía que costaban 1,5 cual fue nuestra sorpresa que al final nos cobraron 3 y 7 € por ellos. Además que no aceptan tarjeta, ofrecen show de fados mientras cenas y lo que cantan son 3 fados... En fin que no se puede engañar mas

Expérience géniale ! La cuisine était délicieuse savoureuse. Les plats sont copieux et peu chers (10 euros environ) pour un restaurant de Fado.
La musique nous a plongé dans l'ambiance du vieux Lisbonne chaleureux et convivial.
À refaire je vous recommande cette adresse malgré les très mauvais avis que je ne comprends pas.

Wir waren im März auf Empfehlung eines Tourguides zu Mittag hier essen und waren mehr als zufrieden.
Es wurde ein Mittagsmenü für 9€!!! angeboten (Brot/Oliven, Suppe, Hauptgang (wahlweise Fisch oder Fleisch), Nachspeise und Getränk).
Jedes Gericht war sehr gut!
Das Restaurant liegt in einer sehr süßen Gasse im Bairro Alto im Herzen Lissabons und wird von sehr gastfreundlichen Einheimischen betrieben.
Wir können solche Google- Kommentare über schlechtes Essen, teure Preise und unfreundlichen Service überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen.
Lasst euch nicht verunsichern, einfach selbst ausprobieren.

Restaurante agradável no Bairro Alto com bom ambiente e excelente atendimento. A comida estava Boa, o polvo é altamente recomendado e o bacalhau à Brás é apenas médio.
Tem dado ao vivo, os artistas são bons, mas cantam dois ou três fados e fazem intervalo de 10 a 15 minutos. O que na minha opinião é pouco fado e muito intervalo.
Recomendo para conhecer e se está no Bairro Alto a mostrar Lisboa aos amigos, este restaurante é opção.

Hemos estado 3 dias en Lisboa, sin duda ha sido el lugar mas caro de todos, la comida no es mala pero el pan, CUIDADO!!! 1€ por cada minibollo, aceitunas 1,5€, el cafe 3€, ni que te lo trajera george cluni, la minidosis de mantequilla 1€ por porcion. Es una trampa para guiris, te traen cosas que luego te cobran, nos volvemos a españa que alli las aceitunas son gratis. Avisados quedais.

Ok atmosphere and the food quality is a matter of taste.
My wife loved the octopus while the cod I had was quite tasteless as if there was almost no seasoning.

Wir sind spontan Anfang Dezember dort eingekehrt. Natürlich hatten wir irgendwie Bedenken, unser Kellner war bisschen strange, milde gesagt. Aber wir hatten Hunger, keine große Lust über Google was zu suchen. Und hätten wir den schlechten Rezessionen hier Glauben geschenkt, wären wir wahrscheinlich weiter.
Aber!! Wir haben eine tolle Weinempfehlung erhalten (stand nicht auf der Karte), super leckeren Käse sowie Oliven vorweg gegessen, und beide Hauptgänge waren super frischer Fisch (zwei verschiedene Gerichte). Wir waren vollkommen zufrieden, auch wenn die Faro Musiker etwas laut sind. Aber das ist halt ein Touri-Viertel in Lissabon...

Estaba realmente a la espectativa porque luego de sentarnos me sí cuenta que tenía una valoración de 2,8 . Realmente no tengo quejas la comida estaba espectacular pedí polvo a lagareira y cordero y estaba exquisito, degustamos una botella vino verde muy bueno también. El postre un arroz con leche muy bueno. La atención de los camareros excelente y los fadistas estupendos. Realmente lo recomiendo. Dos personas gastamos 48€ entre las dos.

Absolument horrible . Je déconseille. Nourriture mauvaise. Le poisson était surgelé et mal cuit .Les "camaraos " eux aussi surgelés .Quand au Fado... Nous avons entendu six chansons en une heure et demie ! Ensuite les "chanteurs" ont essayé de nous vendre leur CD.
Tres mauvaises voix , mauvais restaurant Piège à touristes. Mieux vaut payer un peu plus cher et pouvoir profiter d'une véritable soirée fado!
N'y allez pas ! et attention on vous racolle dans la rue!

원래는 Tasca do Chico를 방문하려했으나, 자리가 없어 저녁을 먹기위해 들렀습니다. 자리를 잡고 구글평가를 보니 2.8 이었습니다. 이런 잘못 왔구나..
하지만 주문한 대구구이와 문어가 나왔을때 예상은 빗나갔습니다. 특히 대구구이는 정말 맛 있었습니다. 상그릴라와 함께 맛있는 저녁식사를 했습니다. 파두공연도 잠깐씩 해주는데 감동이었습니다. 유명하지 않은 식당에서 노래부른다고 우습게 볼 실력이 아닌 것 같았습니다. 7시30분 Tasca do Chico에 가서 첫번째 공연을 봤는데 그 가수보다 더 잘하는 것 같았습니다.
기대하지 않았던 식당이었는데, 정말 좋은 평가를 주고 싶습니다.
처음 양미리 같은 생선을 갖다주는데 조금 먹으니 비린내가 납니다. 그건 피하시는게 좋을 듯 (7€). 그리고, 이 집은 카드 안받습니다. only Cash.

We originally went to the Tasco de Chico as It is my birthday, but their service towards us was not acceptable. (See my review on Tasco de Chico 10.12.19) The gentleman outside RETIRO saw how upset we were when we left Chico and referred us to try RETIRO DOS Santos, we explained we just wanted something light, we had a big lunch earlier. No minimum charge, we had the starters menu, simple soup, wine and beers, starters cheese and bread. When we arrived she was singing, we listened to Fado for Free and our waiter was really attentive and we felt Fado was sang beautifully by the 2 ladies. Look DO NOT expect MasterChef food here but our bill was correct when we paid. And you do not have to buy the CD's but the CD's do make a wonderful gift or to play at home to remind you of RETIRO. I thanked the gentleman outside RETIRO as it was our First EVER Fado experience, so thank you for your invitation RETIRO Dos Santos, thank you!!!!

Le pongo una reseña a este restaurante porqué no se pueden poner cero. Fuimos a cenar en familia y la experiencia fue pésima. Pedimos arroz de marisco y bacalao a la brasa. El marisco del arroz eran mejillones de lata y palitos de mar. Con respecto al bacalao a la brasa era un revuelto de huevo, el bacalao no existía. Cuando nos quejamos de la comida el camarero se puso muy maleducado y llamó a otro y nos increparon. Las meses de alrededor estaban igual de molestos que nosotros por la comida, que era un engaño y de una calidad pésima, por no hablar del precio del pan. Nos pusieron unos trocitos diminutos y nos cobraron 8€. No lo recomiendo en absoluto, es más si alguien va por error y vive lo mismo que nosotros vivimos, les animo a que lo compartan para que otros usuarios que lean las reseñas no vayan. Para denunciar.

Dzisiaj szukając sympatycznego miejsca, w którym posłuchamy muzyki fado trafiliśmy do owej jadłodajni, bo restauracją nie można tego określić. Jedzenie serwowane w owym lokalu jest najgorszej jakości - praktycznie wszystkie dania są jednogarnkowe, wyglądają mało apetycznie, smakują jeszcze gorzej. Zamówilismy owoce morza - zaserwowano nam pomidorową z kilkoma paluszkami krabowymi i jedną krewetką - smak tragiczny. Odnieśliśmy wrażenie, że jedzenie podawane jest szybko, by równie szybko wyjść i ustąpić miejsca kolejnym naiwnym szukającym portugalskiej rozrywki turystom. Odradzamy zdecydowanie!
Ps. Nie można płacić kartą, o czym ani słowa przed płaceniem!

Plutôt une bonne surprise. Nous avons dîné dehors car nous n'avions pas spécialement envie d'écouter du fado. Mon riz au poulpe était très bon et bien copieux, je me suis régalée. La cataplana de mes copines était bonne aussi, un peu moins copieuse en revanche. Nous avions accepté les pataniscas à l'apéro, qui n'étaient pas mauvaises bien qu'un peu grasses.
Un peu surprise à la fin quand il a fallu payer en cash mais nous avions ce qu'il fallait (cela pourrait néanmoins être précisé sur la devanture).

We wanted to order snacks, not the cheapest ones, wine and water, but we got information that we should order main dishes, which were 1 euro more expensive than our snacks. Nothing really special about this place. The food is ok, we had good experience with the waiter which was really nice and helped us a lot keeping our baby in mood.
The soup we got as a starter had weird texture and felt like an industrial food. The fried sardines were standard and so was the tomato rice.

We came here because the restaurant we wanted to go to across the street was full. However, the maitre d' beckoned us in with the promise of Fado. There was no minimum charge other than dinner, so we enjoyed a delicious meal and listened to two great singers. I had a tomato salad and the roast lamb, which was tender and delicious. My vegetarian husband was happy to have a bowl of vegetable soup and a mushroom and rice dish. We shared a bottle of wine, all for $56 euros. Because we stumbled upon this restaurant, we had not even looked up the reviews, so we were surprised to see such low ratings. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. While I wouldn't choose this restaurant for the food only, combined with the fado music experience, it is a solid choice. The service was great and we'd return when in Lisbon!

Accueil et service chaleureux. Sur les 4 plats de notre groupe, seul 1 etait correct, les autres etant extremement huileux et sans beaucoup de gout voire insipide. Pour "ameliorer" l experience, une odeur d huile tres forte nous a accompagne des que rentre dans le restaurant...nous ne sommes evidement pas reste pour un dessert. Le fado etait ok mais pas exceptionnel, les représentations étaient très courtes, 10 minutes tout au plus toutes les 45 minutes.

It was my first Fado experience but I quite enjoyed it! We got to hear 4 songs during our dinner. I got the seafood Masada and it was so tasty! My sister got the pineapple turkey and it was so flavourful. Unsure why this place has gotten such poor reviews. I do echo that they didn’t have credit card choice available and we went to the cashier to pay our bill but we didn’t mind since we got our food quickly and was able to enjoy the performances.

Contrairement aux autres avis ; bonne expérience . Certes ça n'est pas une gastronomie haut de gamme mais pour le prix c'est correct : bouteille de vin 3 plats 3 desserts pour 20€ par personne et le fado super sympa . Avons pris du poisson ( et non pas de poulet xD ) et le plat était très bon .

Expérience désastreuse.. engueulades des serveurs devant nous. Plats de "pâtes aux fruits de mer" je me retrouve avec des coquillettes avec surimi et quelques moules. Ils ne prennent pas la carte bleue. Il a fallu courir à une place plus loin chercher de la monnaie. La prochaine fois on regardera les avis avant. A fuir!!

They don’t take bank cards but were quick to call me in to listen to Fado music because Tasca do Chico was fully booked. Please let your customers know this before asking them to come in. Fado was ok. Didn’t eat much so can’t comment on the food.

Buen trato pero comida muy muy regular, pensado para giris con poco paladar. Pedimos una cataplana y eso era zumo de tomate con algo de pescado y marisco. Lo peor es que no debía de estar muy fresco porque sabía regular y dejamos parte del plato. No lo recomiendo.

Je confirme qu'il s'agit d'un gros piège à touriste. Sous couvert de fado ce " pseudo" restaurant attire Les touristes de passage. Rien de bon dans l'assiette, une escalope dure de la veille servie avec des chips !!! Comme nous avions réservé on a eu droit à la table du fond près des toilettes !!

Typowe miejsce na zmęczonego turystę. Nie masz siły aby odmówić sympatycznym panom z obsługi. Jedzenie tanie, smak również. Brak przypraw i wyrazu. Jedyne co się obroniło to zupa warzywna. Tego nie da się popsuć. Reszta porażka na całej linii. Papki na bazie starego chleba i ziemniaków. Szczytem byli podanie ryby z chipsami z paczki :)

On s'est arrêté manger le soir, nous avons pris seulement un plat par personne, eau payante, après avoir attendu 3/4 d'heure, nous avons été servi mais la quantité dans notre plat était vraiment très limite pour le prix. Mon poisson était remplis d'arrête, et trempait dans l'huile. Il manquait également de l'assaisonnement, tout cela avec 3 pommes de terres sans sauce. C'est, et de loin, la pire expérience de ma vie dans un restaurant. Pour (mal) commencer, le serveur nous recommande chaudement un vin brésilien dont, heureusement, nous savions qu'il s'agissait de la pire piquette. La suite a tourné au chauchemard... Un ragoût de fruits de mer composé de surimi et de crevettes congelées. Du pain de supermarché. Du fromage en plastique. Et pour couronner le tout, nos complaintes nous ont valu les pires insultes. Bref, le genre d'endroit qui n'a pour seule finalité que de tirer les profits au maximum.

Terrible! This was the worst experience ever! We dont normally put up bad reviews but our treatment was dreadful. First we were greeted by the guy outside who put us at a table outside. He said there were four types of bacalhau on the menu but the one I chose was off. Then they moved us inside. No cover - bread, olives etc. offered or given. No water either. The bacalhau brais when it arrived was lukewarm and insufficient. We asked for dessert but it wasnt appealing. We had to go to the counter to get the bill and were told it was cash only- but not told of this previously. We were marched to a cash point where we had to pay commission- oh and the waiter lost his temper when we complained. Dont go there!

Après une attente de 3/4 d’heure, la première gorgée de leur vin local annonçait le reste...
Au menu : poulet - frites - salade. Quoi de plus simple ? A l’arrivée, des morceaux très secs de « peut-être » du poulet, des chips molles faites la veille, du riz insipide et une salade non assaisonnée ! Tout cela servi dans une assiette ébréchée !!! Résultat : un plat immangeable ! Une honte de servir ce genre de plats. Un piège à touristes !
Bref, à fuir de toute urgence !

Awful costumer service! Terrible waiter who did not care at all about us. No friendly at all. Would just throw our food on the table and walk away. Even left some bread on the empty neighbour table when we ordered more. Ignored us when we asked for the bill. So slow and unpleasant. When I walked to the desk to pay, we were told only cash and Portuguese cards accepted. And the lady there said that they were nor obliged to have this information anywhere. So rude. Terrible experience. Don't waist your time there. I don't normally write reviews but had such and awful time there that I think I must share my experience.

Nourriture de très mauvaise qualité, plat très peu copieux qui baignait dans l'huile. Un conseil : ne pas prendre le poulet, que des morceaux de graillon avec des chips (french fries) et trois feuilles de salade. Odeur de friture désagréable et une note très salée (4 euros la petite bouteille d'eau, heureusement que nous n'avons pas pris de pain). Seul point positif, le fado qui mettait un peu d'ambiance mais seulement quatre chansons tous les trois quarts d'heure. Bref, attrape touriste !

Não sabia que os restaurantes do bairro Alto tinham essa característica de falta de tradição com o fado, o resultado foi que a cada 3 músicas já tinha um longo intervalo... cheguei as 20:30 hs e sai quase meia noite e não ouvi sequer um fado de Amália Rodrigues.... se seu objetivo é ouvir e curtir uma noite de fado escolha um restaurante ou tasca no bairro da ALFAMA onde é tradicional em fado, no bairro Alto é mais para moçada jovem e o Fado é totalmente comercial, as fadistas estão mais preocupadas em vender seus CDs do que em cantar fado!

Was difficult to decide where to eat because there are so many options, this place was packed and we thought that could be because food is good, so, Nice guy at the entrance, he convinced us to sit. We waited 20 min for someone to take the order, the waiter was not very friendly and we wait at least another 35 min to get the food. Food was ok, average I would say, you can find better places around. Tourist trap, Avoid this place! It is also overpriced compared to other options and they only take cash.

Essen war OK. Die suppe war anfangs kalt und auf Nachfrage wurde sie erwärmt. Kellner sehr unaufmerksam. Wir haben 25 Minuten auf unsere Rechnung warten müssen. Zudem war livemusik viel zu laut und die Sängerin wollte uns wärent dem essen ihre CD verkaufen. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Food was terrible. The dishes were all badly cooked. Onions on the salad were old and smelly. The white wine tasted stale and was indrinkable. The small bottle of red wine for EUR 9 was very cheap and not tasty at all. The spinach with the vegetarian sausage was not spiced and very dry. The vegetarian sausage itself, which wasn't one, was in an inedible, hard skin. The chicken skewer was heavily charred and the cod fish in Bras style was very poorly interpreted. Atmosphere in the restaurant was very strange. Definitely a tourist trap.

VERGONZOSO! No se puede pagar con tarjeta!! Y encima te cuenta una milonga de que es porque tienen unos precios muy competitivos...cosa que no es cierta. Tuvimos que ir a la Plaza Louis de Camoes porque no llevabamos efectivo suficiente y funcionó un solo cajero de milagro, lo cual tambien nos supuso una comision que pagar en el banco.
Al principio el trato muy amigable en la puerta. Dentro un olor a fritanga enorme. La sopa era aguachirri, el pan te ponen una cesta con varios bollos (chiclosos,del día anterior) pero te cobran 1€ por cada uno sin avisarte. Lo único bueno de la comida fue el bacalao con nata.
El fado ni es fado ni es nada...3 canciones cada media hora.
Es un lugar que se lucra de la ignorancia de los turistas.

Nice at the front door, waited for 30 seconds but it was ok, but the funny part started when we took a table. Waiter brought snacks and said “if you will eat that you will pay if not not”. Then he said we MUST order main meal and can’t go without it, and they don’t accept cards, cash only. So we ended up with a lamb for $10 and 2 martini for $10, but before we wanted a cheese board+martini and it was $22 together, so waiter can’t count and doesn’t know the menu. Every meal costs $10 and wine sold in bottles only. 2 stars for the lamb and Fado only. The scammy place based on naive tourists.

Essen war sehr lecker (vegetarisch und Steak). Bedienung war freundlich und hat uns auch darauf hingewiesen, dass die starter, die serviert werden nicht kostenlos sind, wenn sie gegessen werden.
Sowas haben wir aber bereits im Reiseführer gelesen. Man informiert sich eben kurz über die lokal gängigen Bräuche.
Das Fado (lokale Volksmusik, live) war mir auf Grund der Größe des Restaurants etwas zu laut, aber an sich gut.
Der Hauswein (rot, trocken, leichte Säure) ist zum Essen vollkommen in Ordnung. Für zwei Euro mehr kann man sich aber auch einen besseren Wein gönnen.

- Preise auf der Rechnung stimmten nicht mit denen in der Karte überein
- Essen total fettig und Fisch ungenießbar: total verbrannt, mit vielen Gräten und versalzen
Haltet euch am besten weit davon fern und lasst euch nicht von dem Angebot "kostenlosen Livemusik und günstige Preise" anlocken - der Laden ist echt das Letzte.

Waren zuerst begeistert über den herzlichen Empfang, die Livemusik und das bemühte Personal. Jedoch die Rechnung schockierte dann doch sehr. Brot, Teigtaschen und Bohnen mit Speck wurden uns ohne zu fragen aufgetischt und auf Nachfrage wurde uns bestätigt das diese kostenlos seien. Auf der Rechnung war dann alles aufgeführt. Knadenlos abgezockt. Das Essen anfürsich war okay. Trotzdem nie wieder, nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Got charmed in from the street and immediately realised this wasn't a good place. The waiter was really rude and abrupt, he acted like he really didn't want to be there. The tried to make us take 2 starters but we kindly refused. Then when we ordered the same grilled cod dish, mine turned up super dry and horrible but my partners was nice.
Overall I'd recommend avoiding the place!

Fuja desse lugar. Fica em frente à Tasca do Chico, que tem fila de espera, enquanto este sempre tem lugar. Comida mal preparada, porções ínfimas, preço elevado, serviço desatencioso, vinhos simples e caros. Eu pedi a conta a um garçom e ele disse que deveria pedir a outro. Horrível. Fadistas por alguns minutos e apenas razoáveis.

Schlechtestes Lokal Lisbon - Teuer, stellen Essen auf den Tisch das man nicht bestellt hat, service schlecht. Lieber Fähre auf andere Seite von Lisbon nehmen und dann in einer der vielem Fisch Restaurants essen.

Waren im November hier - haben ums vom netten Empfang und Athmosphäre fangen lassen. Essen sehr schlecht, Fisch zäh und Gemüse völlig ohne Geschmack. Nie wieder!

Vorne weg sei gesagt, dass das Essen sehr lecker ist. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es für den Hauswein, der unterirdisch ist. Dabei gibt es hier herrliche Weine, Die sehr günstig sind. Einen weiteren Abzug muss ich leider wegen 20 Minuten Wartezeit fürs Bezahlen berücksichtigen. Wenn der Laden kaum zu 15% belegt ist und man nur hingehalten wird, ist es nicht in Ordnung.

Acceuil sympa...mais attention plats immangeables 1) morue à l'odeur immonde 2) frites molles odeur de friture avariée. Pour éviter l indigestion, nous avons payé et quitté sans manger. A éviter. Ceci est mon 1er commentaire culinaire..il peut sauver un séjour;)

Une honte ce restaurant
A fuir 20 € la bouteille de mateus
Accueil se fait en français mais pour les problèmes de fin de repas le patron avec son bouc à des pertes de mémoire et ne parle plus que l'anglais
Fruit de mer pas frais
En plus la calculatrice est à leur avantage refaite addition

Racolage.
Piégé par un racoleur, au début accueil en français.
Cuisine moyenne...
Pas regardé la carte des vins !
Et commandé une bouteille de mateus.
Grosse surprise, au moment de la note.
Très grande culbute du patron qui avait oublié son français.
De plus erreur sur l addition.

I passed here randomly, whist wandering around in Bairro Alto, drawn in by the prix fixe lunch menu. The place was 80% empty. I have to say it was undoubtedly the worst meal I've had in Portugal so far during my holiday here.
I ordered the baked cod, and it was just an atrocity. Nice presentation but no flavour. The outside was so hard and crispy, it could not be chewed. The inside had a flaky texture but no flavour at all. Texture was ok, but it tasted like nothing. The potatoes that came with it were equally bland. The desert pudding was fine, but I would never pay the a la carte 4 Euro price for pudding that tested like it came from a plastic cup in the grocery store.
I'm increasing the rating from 1/5 to 2/5 because the waiter was very helpful in describing the menu items, and they have very nice, modern, clean washrooms.

Cataplana war leider nicht gut. Der Fisch war sehr Zeh da er vermutlich tiefgefroren war. Greten im Fisch.

Essen war okay, nichts besonderes aber es hat geschmeckt. Der Fisch war frisch und das Gemüse schmackhaft. Man sitzt sehr schön und das Personal ist sehr bemüht.

Mala comida, para un precio caro, fados para turistas ignorantes, peor servicio, y pésimos tiempos - dos horas para recibir bazofia. Ni acercarse. No se como poner 0 estrellas...

Very very bad food - 1 star! Not a good service - 1-2stars! Fado performers were good but during the whole dinner they were singing just for 10min probably. And for sure, it's not a good place to listen to Fado anyways, not a right atmosphere.. so, avoid this place if you want to have only good impressions of Lisbon!

We get inside only to have some sangria and tapas. After we ordered and started eating the service told us that we HAVE TO order at least one main dish. It change into quite affair. Of course after that we leave as soon as possible. If restaurant has a rule that customer need to order main dish, it should inform about it at the start not after taking first order.

2.5e les 25cl d eau c'est vraiment exagéré. La salade de tomate est plus que basic. Des tomates premier prix en plus ! Je déconseille également !
