We sat here around midday. I would say the place was satisfactory but nothing special really. With the sun on your face the terrace is pretty nice to sit. There is a little breeze that cools the place down a bit. The personel helps out but are not very super motivated at doing it. I had the Tuna Bruchetta which was OK.

Weather was sunny and we were outside, happy. We ordered burgers because we were really hungry. Worst burger I have ever eaten in my life, meat was weird, burger was dry with no sauce and we got 3 slices of kind of potatoes. So disappointed by my first meal ever in Lisbon.
Prices are high for Lisbon but I guess we were paying for the view, the place near the ocean but not the quality and taste of the food.
Service was good though. And our waitress was friendly and nice.
Please pay attention: bread and olives are not free, so you can say no if you do not want

I went to take a couples of drinks with friends and the place are so nice to chill and see the sun set with they awesome Mojitos and Caipirinha ,they have all day Mojito or caipirinha for only 5 € and it's made with fresh peppermint and lime , really cool ! And good tapas as well !

Fun quirky venue which doesn't feel too touristy, especially once you are inside. We only stopped for a snack but it was good and the vibe was youthful but not pretentious. The reuse of the cans is very clever as well as good for the planet!

So...first day in Lisbon...trying to enjoy a bit of time far from work and crowded London...Arrived a bit early for hotel check in and we decided to scout for a place to have an early brunch...we decided(not my best day) to go for Can the Can...specifically for some lamb kofta and a shrimp pie something( can’t remember the exact name) one glass of sangria and on glass of orange juice...all together over 40€...bare in mind that the koftas where half size of what you can get in any kebab shop plus the meat was really dry...pita bread was proportional to koftas and the salad was practically missing...
The other dish...”shrimp something”...let’s just say that the shrimps where underdeveloped ...my fault, I should have looked harder...
but as I always said:”hunger is the best chef”...I guess it served the purpose.
Next time though...I’m joking, it will not be a “next time”.

Normalerweise würde es 5*verdienen, allerdings haben wir auf die Drinks mindestens 15 min. gewartet, während das Essen schon 10min. am Tisch war. Sonst Top Location, super freundliches Personal, Chillout Musik und toller Sunset Place.

Cocktail bon. On a pris des anchois avec à 8€, c'était quelques filets sortis d'une boîte qui se battaient en duel. Après, un pseudo plat d'agneau à 16 € qui a la taille d'un tapas et en plus sec et archi cuit. Bravo la cuisine super boulot !!

Accueil très sympathique, on a commencé par une caipirhina et une sangria fruit des bois accompagné d'un fromage de chèvre avec des toasts grillés et une confiture à la citrouille suivi d'une morue confite et spaghetti aux crevettes, pour finir un crumble citron vert servi dans un bocal.Tout était très bon dans un décor original je vous recommande

A clean, tasty restaurant with good cocktails
Can the can offers a direct view on the Tejo. The menu is as expensive as everything nearby. The meals were well prepared, eventhough there was sauce missing on our burgers.

We stumbled in to this place and aren't sure what to think. The location is A-grade and a price to match, but everything else was lacking. The menu was nothing special and all six of us had trouble finding anything appetising. The staff weren't very friendly or attentive, at least not to a level I'd expect given the location and cost.

We had a few decent mojitos, but when it came to the food, this place was DISGUSTING. We are not picky people, but we tried to send back a dish and the arrogace of the manager was very dissapointing... Complete disregard for their customers view. AVOID ar all costs.

a massa estava muito gordurosa, o caranguejo pior. Tentei sair feliz com a sobremesa mas sem efeito só piorou. Sumo de Ananás a 9€ aquilo parecia um copo com gelo e espuma. Pelo atendimento até voltaria e recomendava, a experiência não é a 100% mas são tão simpáticos. Mas pela comida tão cara e sem gosto não volto e nem recomendo ninguém.

Absolutely a lovely place! Even it is located at one of the most touristic spots but it is still chic and cozy. A wonderful view, great for brunches and sunset meal/drink. A bit pricey but they have got promotions and happy hours. Wi-fi is available.

I am only giving one star because I can't give anything lower. This was the worst experience in Lisbon. My family and I stopped for dinner before heading back to our room for the evening. The food was mediocre at best and the service was horrible. We kept having to wave people down to order our food and when we finally did get our order in, they took forever to bring it out. We asked for the check and it never came. We had to get up to leave to finally grab their attention. There was apparently another party in the restaurant that was more important than any other patron there, as they had the entire wait staff paying them attention while completely ignoring the rest of the patrons having dinner. When we finally were able to pay, we ended up getting waved down half way down the road to go back and pay for a separate order because their colleague put our order on two different tables. Don't waste your money here!!!

this is the worst experience i have had in portugal. the prices were extremely expensive. i paid 14 euros for a cheasburger. they charge extra for a drink - even water. at that price rate i would expect the meal to come with a drink. the waitress did not knew the size of the Patty and instead of chaking she just dismissed the question by saying- "i dont know...normal size i guess". the burger was dry and small. i asked for ketchup from multiple writers as the weiteres who served us dismissed me again and went on serving other tables. the place was not crowded. i got the ketchup 15 minutes after i asked for it. one of the worst experiences i have ever had i a restaurant- world wide.

Went there for a pre-dinner. We had a glass of wine and a cocktail, which were served with appetizers consisting of crusty bread, olives and olive oil.
Frankly speaking, while cocktail was good and wine exactly kind of wine we were to, appetizers were expensive than drinks and could be matter of disappointment since were nothing special.

As many people have written, the service is dreadful. The menu is uninspiring. I gave a 20 Euro note and the cashier gave the waitress change for 10 Euro. When I pointed it out there was no argument, clealy happy to have dishonest people handling with their money.

L'accueil est bienveillant et attentionné. Les propositions de plats sont gourmandes ! Il y a même un petit-déjeûner bio ! Option vegan ou non... Des associations de couleurs, de saveurs qui émerveillent par leur audace et surprennent par leur subtiles voyages... La déco est tout aussi unique et osée ;-)! Merci ! :-)

Péssima experiência, nunca pensei que fosse passar por um engano desses, pedi dois drinks, demoraram muito, daí outro garçom passou, perguntou se já havia sido atendido, mandaram quatro, fiquei sem entender... Acabei pagando caro, levaram meu dinheiro e demoraram mais de vinte minutos para trazer o troco. Cuidado é armadilha, o local é um pega turistas fiquem atentos. O Drink é um copo de gelo, absurdo, golpe mesmo...

Je ne partage pas tous les avis négatifs lus ici. A ceux qui accusent le restaurant d’essayer de « refourguer » des entrées, renseignez vous un peu. C’est chose courante dans les restaurants au Portugal, il suffit de les refuser au lieu d’aller après dénigrer le restaurant sur internet.
Je suis allée manger ici un soir de Juillet avec 2 amies, nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Non seulement la localisation est super, mais le personnel était aux petits soins. De nombreux serveurs nous ont parlé en français, le service était rapide et chaleureux, nous avons même reçu des plaids un fois le soleil couché. J’ai commandé un burger aux légumes, rien a dire, c’était excellent. Une de mes amies a choisi un plat de poulpe grillé accompagné d’une puree de patate douce aillée aux épinards. La encore, on retrouvait la volonté de revisiter la cuisine portugaise, avec succès !
Lorsqu’est venu le moment du dessert, une serveuse est venue nous présenter les différents desserts du moment, tous présentés dans des verrines, en nous expliquant (en français) la composition de ces derniers. J’ai choisi une mousse au chocolat a l’huile d’olive, cela reflétait encore l’esprit de ce restaurant : une cuisine simple, mais avec des ingrédients de qualité, pour un repas excellent.

Sitio muy bonito, las vistas perfectas, depende de donde te pongas puedes tomar la cerveza mirando el mar. El precio no es barato pero nada escandaloso, merece la pena gastar lo que cuesta la cerveza. La carta es muy completa pero ya es más dinero y depende de tu bolsillo. También estás en la entrada del “Terreiro do Paco“. Si tienes que ir al baño hay que pagar o te dan un tiket para no hacerlo. En general muy recomendable!

Bien trop cher (15€ pour deux tranches de pain, un steak, une tranche de tomate, et 50 feuilles de salade qu'ils appellent "cheeseburger"). Quand on demande de l'eau du robinet (gratuite), ils soupirent et vous répondent non. Attentions ils essayeront de vous refourguer des entrées hors de prix. Attrape touriste.

Fui atendido de maneira PÉSSIMA! Pedidos demoram para serem servidos, atendentes são arrogantes e a comida não foi boa. Foi um ponto negativo em minhas férias.
Ao apresentar uma reclamação, o atendente ainda me afrontou, comentando que se eu estivesse insatisfeito, poderia ir para outro local.

Entramos en el lugar porque desde fuera de veía curioso, y así fue. El restaurante estaba decorado enteramente de latas de conserva, hasta la enorme lámpara que colgaba del techo estaba hecha de latas... Chulísimo... Allí nos venimos unas sidra y una cerveza y plato de pulpo para compartir y picar algo. El pulpo acompañado de bolitas de paté o salsas estaba espectacular, recomendable 100%

Won’t allow you to order tap water because they’d prefer to charge you for tiny plastic bottle of water which they can make money on. The water isn’t expensive but the premise of forcing people to use bottled water is pathetic. Food is average, ethics are abysmal. Hopefully they grow up or go out of business.

Cena fin de año nefasta. Pedimos dos de champiñones, una de carne y de postres dos de Macedonia que cada uno valía 11 euros, la bebida y el café que pedimos nos lo sirvieron en vasos de plástico y cada café nos lo cobraron a 5 euros cuando el precio normal debería rondar 2.50. Un Robo Nunca Más!!!

Me and my friend went here twice to get dinner. We fell in love with the pasta she had pasta with scampi and I had it with anchovies (my first time). It was a bit too salty, but all good and delicious. And we almost got unlimited with parmesan if you love parmesan, this is the place to eat pasta.
The staff were great and the second time we were there, it was a bit too late. But we were able to order food if we were fast definitely coming back the next time I am in Lisboa.

Went here for a lunch. In my opinion it is expensive for what you get. I ordered a cesar salad. Was a very simple plate with a lot of lettuce, little bit of chicken, parmesan cheese, a few croutons and dressing on top. And that for €13,50. I have eaten way much better and big lunches in the last couple of days for less money!
The cappuccino was with cream, but it was way to strong for me. Not my flavor.
The staff was friendly, the location is great obviously. That's all I can say about it.

The cafe is perfectly placed and we only stayed for coffee, we ordered two, the waiter bought only one after a ten minute wait, we said our order was for two and the waiter went away, 12 minutes later a badly made barely warm coffee appeared, my partner had already drank his so us both enjoying a coffee together wasn’t in the equation...we ask for our bill and waited so long for our change we gave up...very disappointed after reading quite good reviews...will not revisit

Okay service and pretty average food for the expensive rates. Ordered the lamb kofta which was cold and still raw through. Questioned if it was okay to eat and 1/2 waiters said it wasn't okay. Yet still had to pay full price. My boyfriend even got stabbed by being knocked with a gas canister mid mouthful.
Highly recommend any other restaurant in the square other than here.

The food was very good and the restaurant is beautifully located on the square. We were, however, served by an untrained member of staff. Because of this, we didn’t receive the right order. This was quickly fixed and we enjoyed our visit.

Le cadre est sympa que ce soit dedans avec la déco original que dehors avec cette vue sur la place et le Tage.
Le personnel est très sympa, pour les français n'hésitez pas à demander Paolo.

Great service, average food, expensive rates. I made the mistake of ordering lamb. Was horrible. The orange juice was super cold and tasted dilute. I was very disappointed they didn't have salmon. I didn't understand why these restaurants keep cod but not salmon.

Terrible never go here. Expensive and flavourless, sent the food back and made us pay full price even after complaining. Kofta was really tiny. Bad customer service. Manager lady told us you get the food like that in your country.

Simplemente una gran experiencia, la ubicación es inmejorable, la atención es excelente y los platillos exquisitos. Se nota la mano de un buen chef aquí. No es un lugar barato, pero tampoco caro, el precio es acorde a la ubicación y el servicio y calidad de los productos. El que espera comer con 5 euros en un restaurante ubicado en en un sitio como este de verdad no sabe cómo funciona el mundo.

Wir waren über Pfingsten an zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Abenden dort und absolut begeistert. Man sitzt super, hat einen genialen Blick aufs Wasser, auf den Platz, das Tor, die Abendsonne, die landenden Flugzeuge, dazu läuft coole Musik und der Service war wirklich sehr nett und relativ aufmerksam. Man wird bei Ankunft sofort begrüßt und von einem netten jungen Typen an einen Tisch gebracht und mit Speisekarten versorgt. Die Preise für Weine und Speisen sinf für diese Lage absolut angemessen. Das Essen (Penne mit Gemüse und Iberico Fleisch) war spitze. Unser Rosé wurde selbstverständlich im eleganten Weinkühler mit vielen Eiswürfeln serviert, bei jeder neuen Flasche kamen auch saubere neue Gläser dazu. Bei unserem nächsten Mal in Lissabon auf jeden Fall wieder: Can the Can! Wir empfehlen das Restaurant sehr gerne.

Wir waren hier mit einer Gruppe von 7 Personen frühstücken.
Haben relativ schnell Plätze und die Speisekarten bekommen. Die Auswahl ist üppig. Die Bestellung wurde schnell aufgenommen.
Nach längerer Wartezeit wurden die bestellten Getränke zuerst und dann irgendwann Frühstück verteilt über einen Zeitraum von rund einer weiteren halben Stunde geliefert. Ein bestellter Tee wurde vergessen und erst nach zweimaliger Nachfrage geliefert. Eine Croissant war falsch belegt. Dadurch dass es alles stark zeitverzögert geliefert wurde, war ein gemeinsames Frühstück schwierig. Während an einem Ende des Tisches noch gefrühstückt wurde, wurde am anderen Ende bereits abgeräumt.
Für die recht hohen Preise, lässt der Service sehr zu wünschen übrig. Getränke und Frühstück waren grundsätzlich gut, aber die eigentlichen Portionen recht mickrig und daher ist das hier als teuer einzustufen.
Fazit: sind enttäuscht über Preis / Leistung

Essen war ok, der Käse ist allerdings auf dem Tisch in der Sonne warm geworden bis die drei kleinen sehr zähen Brötchen gekommen sind. Die aufback-crossaints haben etwas länger gedauert ... Und es ist nicht genau das angekommen was wir bestellt haben ...
Also:
- Lage geil
- Kellner nett
- essen mittelmäßig
- viel zu teuer für Menge und Qualität des Essens
- würden über 20 Minuten bedient und so war es kein schönes Erlebnis

Great location and decor. Can't recommend due to service, even though there were only few customers, service was late and with mistakes. One of the cocktails was tasteless, because bartender made a mistake. Their reaction to it was rude.

A huge disappointment. The food was without any taste and the waitress are very arrogant. It is also very expensive and the tables are dirty. The bread and olives at the beginning cost 2,50€ per person, to much for dry bread and bitter olives. The only good thing is the design of the restaurant.

Terrible service!!! The staff just does not care we had to ask for our food mulitiple times and still did not get the correct order we asked multiple servers and still no reaction. When you try to get their attention they mainly pretend they did not see it. The bill came with the wrong items on them. Just a tourist trap!!! Save your money. Go in take photos it’s cool but that’s all

Very poor service. I asked for no milk, butter cheese (because of an intolerance) in my food and it came with cheese. When I told the manager he shouted at me before I had a chance to explain. The vegetable soup also came with chorizo! A lot of attitude amongst the staff in general.

Ou est le barman? Besoin d'une formation cocktail je crois. De brèves excuses pour le retard et aucun geste.

Très bien le soir avec les enfants. Tout le monde a trouvé son compte dans cette cuisine originale et typiquement portugaise. De nombreuses assiettes à partager pour une soirée entre amis ou en famille.

Food was delicious - I highly recommend the tasting platter if you haven't yet but would like to try different types of seafood. I enjoyed the combinatio of flavours in each different taster.
Service was friendly and relatively quick (but I was eating later in the afternoon).
View of the ocean and square from outside is great.
Overall I do feel the food was overpriced but I appreciated the gourmet inspiration and fancied trying the platter despite the cost.

Do not order cocktails - bad taste and to expensive! Service is really slow. We have ordered a bloody mary and a caipirinha. As the caipirinha was so so, the body mary was like water and taste like cucumber juice! We returned the bloody mary back and waited 30 minutes for the new drink (it was was also bad taste). There is absolutely no excuse for the delay, the were only 4 tables with guests.

The food there is very good, I had the stuffed eggplant. Also the interior of the restaurant is very nice. The only thing that wasn't good is that the ordered house wine came after we already had finished the meals. Also they forgot half of our drinks, so we had to reorder twice..

Muy recomendable. Cocina moderna, fresca y sorprendente. Se nota que la carta esta muy bien pensada, que el cocinero ha estado rato pensando y probando mezclas para conseguir que sabores tan dispares sean tan armoniosos cuando los mezclas.
Muy recomendables las croquetas de pulpo acompañadas de mostaza antigua (sorprendente mezcla de la mostaza con las croquetas con toque dulce y la rucula), el "lagarto" (secreto iberico) y el postre de cous-cous de frutos rojos con crema de yogur griego y miel.
Los camareros son muy amables y atentos cuando el restaurante esta vacio. Si que es verdad que como se dicen en otros comentarios, hay que venir con calma, porque cuando el restaurante se llena la calidad del servicio decae. Aparentemente, falla la organizacion, no parece que haya camareros asignados a cada mesa sino que te sirve aleatoriamente el primero que pasa, con la lentitud y los errores que eso conlleva...

Poor service from staff. Left waiting for order, then brought out the wrong order. To be fair the staff are poorly organised by a seemingly autocratic and controlling manager. Wouldn't visit again.

Horrible service there, the waitress even doesnt know to explain the card. Furthermore missing the half order and start discussions with you that it isnt included in your order ( it was included ).
Also ordered an extra coffee which I never got.
Nevertheless it appeared on the bill.
No reccomodation here, spend your money somewhere else.

Nous étions à 7 personnes et nous avons détestés de nous faire servire un menu avec de la soit disante bacalao et qui au fait une mixture de ont ne sait pas quoi mais une chause est sur il n'y a pas de la bacalao, nous sommes peut être touriste Français mais pas des cons, cela fait 35 ans que nous venons au Portugal nous n'avons jamais été déssus mais là. Pour nous le Portugal est notre deuxième Pays

Excellent experience, friendly and exceedingly helpful staff. Writing this from the beautiful terrace sipping from a glass of their delicious lemonade while my brother enjoys a caipirinha.
Seated and brought food promptly even at a busy time, everyone was very polite and seemed honestly happy with their work.
Will definitely be eating here again, would recommend to ayone in lisbon. Not cheap, but worth it.
