Simply delicious! Best sautee mushrooms I ever had! As a vegetarian having a restaurant understand flavours is always a welcomed surprise, the bean puree accompanying the eggplant was superb!

An extraordinary gem of a restaurant. Yesterday we didn’t get a table, so went early today. We had the mushrooms with port sauce and walnut bread, the veggie curry, eggplant dish, and shared a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Fantastic hidden restaurant in Lisbon! We went here last year and the service and quality of food were excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for an intimate and romantic date.
It is a small restaurant so make sure you have reservations. Not sure how much their menu has changed but it’s definitely worth going.
We ordered the bacalhau dish, octopus and a local sausage (made with meat and rice)... all spectacularly cooked!
We will definitely go back to visit when in Lisbon.

Très sympathique petit restaurant qui sert une nourriture goûteuse et authentique. Les vins sont très intéressants (ils font aussi caviste) et le restaurant a un honnête choix de bières locales. Ambiance très agréable, service attentionné.

Unglaublich lieber Service. Bin nur zum Desert hin und habe es bereut nicht vorher schon da gewesen zu sein. Sollte man gesehen haben. Wir haben uns noch toll unterhalten und mit einer Umarmung verabschiedet. Also 6 von 5 Sternen.

Un petit restaurant à conseiller fortement !
Excellent accueil, cuisine simple, mais fraîche et bien présentée, du goût, et une ambiance sympathique. Plats typiquement portugais.
Bacalhau à bras un délice. Champignons au Porto aussi. Les desserts sont parfaits.
Patrons accueillants et à l'écoute.
Enfants bienvenus.

La titolare ci ha accolto con gentilezza e cortesia, ci ha descritto i piatti e la scelta del baccalà con uovo semplicemente fantastico il coniglio era ottimo e abbondante. I funghi al porto deliziosi...Il tempo di attesa dei piatti ci ha convinto che nulla era precotto.
Un complimento alla cucina...
Due bicchieri di rosè e due bicchieri di vino bianco ottimi...Consigliati dalla padrona.

Best surprise of our stay in Lisbon. We passed by and decided to go there. Excellent home made cuisine. Everything from the starter to the dessert tastes excellent. Food is fresh and when ordering wine, you can test it before to make an educated choice. Very friendly place with amazing food. A must visit location.

Wow. The bacalhau a braz was great comfort food after a long day of sightseeing, and that panna cotta is one of the best I've ever had (think smooth texture and amazing fruit toppings). All this is served with smiles and warm hospitality, in a quaintly decorated space. A very pleasant, well-hidden alternative to the relative snobbery of other eateries in the area.

Spectacular experience. Even this place is classy, its not uptight or factitious at all. I highly recommend this pure and genuine, family operated restaurant to all. Also I recommend to book in advance. The restaurant is small and has a warm atmosphere

Dans les hauteurs du quartier du Bario Alto, ce petit restaurant nous a régalé !
Une cuisine simple, à base de produits frais et de recettes familiales. N'hésitez pas à goûter tous les plats à base de morue, vous ne serez pas déçus !
L'équipe est très gentille, et la patronne, qui parle un français impeccable, est de bon conseil.
Attention cependant, la carte bancaire n'est pas acceptée. A trois minutes à pieds, sur le grand axe, un distributeur vous sauve heureusement la mise !

Brilliant little restaurant. The homemade food is traditionally Portuguese but has some clever and unique touches to it. The result is absolutely delicious. It goes without saying that Fernanda and her team are wonderful hosts. Very much recommended!

Ristorante tipico portoghese, così e scritto fuori, piccolo e dimenticatevi le tovaglie sui tavoli, qui non esistono. Due bacalau un polpo di dubbia provenienza due zuppe ai ceci una bottiglia di vino un dolce, pane che abbiamo chiesto noi il tutto x 81.30 €..... e a voluto anche i 30 centesimi scordatevi di spendere poco x il mangiare e il bere a Lisbona. Come si mangia da noi non si mangia da nessuna parte

Petit restaurant, il vaut mieux réserver à l'avance mais personnel très accueillant, certains parlent très bien français, la carte est très originale donc si vous avez du mal avec une cuisine méditerranéenne cela peut poser problème (sinon moyen de prendre deux entrées), je recommande !

Buscava un altre lloc i he topat amb aquest. Llegint critiques he pensat que era una bona opció i l’he encertat. He demanat que em reconanin un plat i he acabat menjant bacalhau a braz. Pensava els havia menjat bons fins ara! Deliciós. L’he aconpanyat amb jna copa d’Ermelinda. Un maridatge genial. El recomano. M’han portat un petit “entreteniment” senzill i saboròs. Per postre m’he decantat per un pastís de ricotta amb gelat de festucs i peresal vi: sublim!!!

Une équipe mini pour des maxi plaisirs. Une serveuse qui été très sympathique et qui perpétue avec son équipe la cuisine maison. Un peu plus cher qu un resto au centre mais ca vaut le détour. Foncez y ! Tout est fait maison et l'alcool vient de producteurs locaux.

Un petit restaurant confidentiel et typique. A peine une 15aine de couverts (la réservation est quasi obligatoire). L'accueil est parfait et la gentillesse de la patronne fais le reste. Son mari l'est tout autant.
Les plats servis sont préparés avec des produits frais et sont excellents. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. Je recommande à 200%

Excellent gem, hidden from the main road where zombies roam. Had the mushrooms in Porto wine, oxtail, gazpacho... Just impressive. Good value for money, not more expensive than other places. Portions are a bit small.

Food was so phenomenal, we ordered additional starter after our main courses! Definitely recommend you to come here for a meal, you will be impressed! All dishes were great, I'm especially in love with the octopus and mushroom starter... it was just addictive and unforgettable

This place was recommended to us by a local - she said the owner collects recipes from around Portugal and food is very authentic. Our dinner was very yummy! Especially the octopus - very tasty and tender. The restaurant is small, so you might want to make a reservation in advance.

Geweldige plek om op zondagochtend te brunchen!! Kleinschalig en knus maar zeker de moeite waard! Wij konden heerlijk buiten zitten. We mochten 3 gerechten kiezen die allen mooi waren opgemaakt en heerlijk smaakten! Super vriendelijk personeel en goede service!! Een plek waar je je thuis voelt!!

Un sitio acogedor y con una buena comida, agradable y bien presentada. El precio es asequible aunque el tamaño de los platos a mi me resultó algo justo.
Conviene reservar por qué solo tienen 6 o 7 mesas.

Un super restaurant proposant des plats traditionnels. Les ingrédients sont frais, l'assaisonnement parfaitement dosé, la quantité présente sans être de trop. Une adresse à faire quand on passe à Lisbonne, mais pensez à réserver (7 tables de 2 seulement).
La patronne parle un français proche de la perfection. Pensez à amener du cash la maison n'a pas de lecteur de CB.

Absolutely delicious meal with a great wine selection. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and were appreciative of their attentive service. Price is great for the quality of food (bottle of wine, appetizer, two main meals, and dessert all came to under 70€)! Would highly recommend to tourists and locals alike.

Seemingly family run, this place is absolutely amazing. Traditional home cooked Portuguese classics from a hand written menu. No wine list, you just tell the waiter the sort of wines you might like and he brings you a bottle of something that might suit from a packed set of shelves. Food is all presented beautifully and taste better than they look. Beware it's cash only, but even that adds to the charm.

The food is delicious. The service is friendly and the atmosphere cosy. Our group tasted the Octopus the oxtail and the brinjal for mains. Which were all delicious. The panna cotta dessert is to die for. Recommend it highly. They only accept cash.

According to my opinion it is very expensive for what they offer. i tried the lamb, it was tasteless and seemed like it was reheated.
The fish with polenta was a little bit better but nothing special.
The cheapest bottle of wine if I am not mistaken was 16,5 euros.
We paid around 55 euros for two persons (two main dishes, one apetiser, dessert and glasses of wine. and we did not really enjoy it.
It was very disappointed since in many sites they suggest it is as one of the best restaurants in lisbon with value of money but the quality of the food was irrelevant to the price.
I wouldn't go to this place again.

Un super restaurant. Les plats sont cuisinés sur place avec des produits frais. La nourriture est vraiment délicieuse, j'y retournerai les yeux fermés tellement c'était bon. En plus, la patronne parle très bien français.

La Mercearia do Seculo è un piccolo ristorantino tra il Bairro Alto e il Jardìn Principe Real. Si respira aria di tradizione, con la voglia di sperimentare su piatti curati e gradevolmente impiattati. I punti a favore sono, oltre all'ottimo cibo, dagli antipasti al dolce, anche l'estrema cortesia del personale e la location curata e accogliente.

This place is a hidden gem, you might even miss it. However the food was amazing and the service really friendly. We went for late lunch and even though the lady wasn't cooking anymore she agreed to serve us. We had mushroom soup and was fantastic and codd fish and typical Portuguese sausage and it was wonderful. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone seeking for a real typical experience in Lisbon !

Very cozy retreat off the beaten track. All homemade exquisite dishes and pastries. Great for unwinding or tea time. Closes early though so not a place for dinner. Go for lunch. You will be very happy!
