Bei einem Bummel durch Lissabons Stadtteil Chiado stießen wir in einer Nebenstraße auf das Restaurant. Die Speisekarte machte neugierig und so buchten wir einen Tisch für zwei Personen. An der Tür wurden wir gleich freundlich empfangen und eingewiesen. Wir nutzten die wunderbare Bar, um mit einem Aperitif zu beginnen. Obwohl die Bar gut ausgestattet ist fehlte der Pastis. Schade! Das Personal reagierte prompt und bot eine Alternative an. Jeder von uns bekam ein Probierglas und konnte sich entscheiden. Das Personal ist gut ausgebildet und ausgesprochen aufmerksam, jedoch nicht aufdringlich. Wir hatten ein Thunfisch Tartar und ein Carpaccio bestellt. Einfach wunderbar! Weniger gut gefielen uns die kurzen Pausen zwischen den Gängen. Der tolle Gaumengenuß war von der Vorspeise noch nicht abgeklungen, dann war schon der Hauptgang auf dem Tisch. Hier sollte mit dem Gast die Pause abgestimmt sein oder generell längere Verweilzeiten eingeplant werden. Das Fleischangebot ist wirklich gut. Dem Koch kann man am Tresen bei seinen Künsten zuschauen. Die Beratung durch das Personal ist empfehlenswert. Eine Schokoladenzigarre in Rauch gehört wahrscheinlich zu den abgedrehtesten Nachspeisen überhaupt. Geschmacksache! Trotzdem gut gemacht und ausgesprochen eine Empfehlung. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist etwas überhöht. Wer etwas Besonderes erleben will, der ist hier gut aufgehoben. Ein Besuch der sich bestimmt lohnt.

A localização não podia ser melhor: No centro da cidade mas mesmo assim afastada do reboliço turístico. Tem um bar magnífico, um espaço lindo e acolhedor no piso superior do restaurante, onde o Pedro e o Vasco vos recebem de forma simpática e casual, fazendo-vos sentir em casa ou entre amigos. O restaurante: a carta é simples e bonita. Tivémos a sorte de conhecer a Sofia (maravilhosa! sempre calma, atenta a todas as mesas e muito simpática!) que nos deu óptimas sugestões: burrata para entrada, bife wellington e bife tártaro - tendo assim fugido ao que o restaurante é famoso: as carnes maturadas. Para sobremesa um mil folhas de doce de leite que era delicioso! Em breve abrirão a esplanada que só trará mais razões para visitar este espaço! Foi tudo maravilhoso!

Great service and atmosphere from the start . I would recommend to go early and try a cocktail ( or two ) at the bar . The menu is extensive , I opted in for the steak tartare with a recommended wine by their experts sommelier. Main course had Leitão Barrada ( suckling pig) with a nice Barrada Red which was lado recomended. Didn't have room for desert but I will be back soon to try it!! Highly recommend.

Probably the best meat restaurant in Portugal. Meats with different maturation times and treated on the grill by professionals and at the ideal point. In the bar, the largest variety of drinks I have ever seen in a bar, is complemented by a fantastic bartender, knowledgeable in art and prepared to advise and serve the drinks that best fit the taste of customers. The service, in total, was flawless. It begins with the warm and smiling reception of Mrs. Sophie Barroyer, continues with the great sympathy, knowledge and professionalism of all. Congratulations to the entire team.

Un restaurante con una decoración exquisita, con dos niveles uno más bajo donde disfrutar la comida y otro más alto con vistas sobre el restaurante donde tomar una copa con una barra prodigiosa y un rinconcito donde pasar toda una tarde. Sus carnes merecen un capítulo entero por su excelencia. Sin lugar a dudas mi sitio favorito en LISBOA para almorzar carnes y tener una sobremesa relajada. Un diez sobre diez.

Dined at this restaurant a week ago while visiting Lisbon. By way of background, we were traveling as a group of four on a wine/food tour through Portugal. The day we dined at Meat Me we had just finsihed a private walking tour of Lisbon. Our guide took us to the restaurant and secured our table although she did not dine with us. We probably looked like typical American tourists (we're from Canada) judging by the reaction of the wait staff when we walked in. From the get go the service was questionable. They started by presenting us with a bread basket. We later learned they charged 4 Euro per person despite the fact we barely touched it --- should have told us upfront. The Sommelier was very dismissive of my friend, Linda, who ordered the wine. Linda is a serious collector and has a high wine IQ. She ordered a nice bottle --- a '14 Vintage. The Sommelier brough the right wine, but a '17 Vintage. When Linda questioned him he responded that it didn't matter if the wine was a '14 or '17---really? Food was good, but not hot. Overall service was cool and impersonal. I will say the restaurant is very pretty, the menu is great, good wine list, but overall disappointing experience.

Opportunities abound. On the positive a very well curated menu with a commitment to best in class food quality and ethically sourced meats. Short rib croquettes were good. The burrata salad was exquisite - basil crumbs and spectacular tomatoes. Chicken was a step above. Salad was excellent. Ribs and short rib were well prepared - a little cold as were the frites. One issue was the presumption we wanted a bread basket at 16 euros (4 pp) without disclosure. Secondly the “Sommelier” was dismissive which we were unclear as to whether that was to the female ordering or he assumed we were Americans. Also we ordered a ‘15 and he brought a ‘17 vintage which he did not disclose until cutting the foil. And when we questioned the year / label he explained years as if it was our first wine. We are wine trained and collectors so found it arrogant. Lunch for 4 - 155e - with so many choices in Lisbon.....

Comecemos pelo fim. Tão bom! Fui com um amigo que por si só já faz com que o convívio seja sempre maravilhoso. Mas quem entra naquela sala imponente, british, cuidada, naquela mezzanine austera, naquela casa de banho, naquela esplanada, tem de perceber que não se está a sentar num simples restaurante. A expectativa ficou muito alta, mas tenho já de desmistificar... foi correspondondida. Gente bonita a trabalhar, muito bom serviço, atencioso, atempado, informado. Seguimos as recomendações e dou como excelentes as seguintes propostas: o carpaccio, o arroz de morcela e a carne maturada 50 dias. Uma maravilha. Obrigado ao gerente Diogo Araújo, por ter um restaurante tão afinado.

Super tolles Restaurant mit Top Bedienung! Die Kellnerin war ultra professionell und gleichzeitig sehr sympathisch. Sie hat uns auch ihre Empfehlungen zum Essen gegeben und wir waren wirklich begeistert vom Essen. Vor allem das Tortilla ähnliche Küchlein war der Hammer.

Absolutely awesome food! We had fillet stake (safe choice) and short beef ribs (recommended by the staff). The ribs were delicious! And fillet was very nice too (although fillet is fillet everywhere else) Also the place is quite modern and very comfortable.

Impeccable service. The food is top notch, the price point definitely matches the quality. The steak is delicious. I ordered the wagyu beef from Chile and it was cooked medium rare to perfection. This restaurant also cares about the origin and preparation of their food. They are proud to explain their dishes and care they put into the menu. I would definitely come back again.

This was the perfect experience in Lisbon! This restaurant really is at the Michelin-star level. Upon arriving, the reception was really nice and the hosts were really friendly. The service was outstanding and we felt very well treated. The meat was exquisite, especially the Wagyu meat and the Short Rib Beef. As dessert we chose the Tarte a Tatin, which was surprising with nice aromatic flavors. The experience was nice from beginning to end. A recommendation for everyone who likes to wine-and-dine well in Lisbon. The price was a little higher than average compared to other restaurants, but not too high and well worth its value.
