Great place to stay and rooms were nice! Board and wetsuit rental available from the hostel, and the surf school even drove me to the beach (I wasn’t even getting a lesson). The only negative is that if you are looking to mainly socialise, the hostel can be pretty quiet at times.

GREAT PLACE ! AWSOME VIBE! I had a great time in Ericeira ‍♂️ ‍♀️ Gonzalo, the manager welcomes you at the airport with a cool surf look, hats and skatter short ...and very relax vibe. Very pro, he is on time and has great conversation. Andreia, Gonzalo's partner and also co manager. It looks like, she always gets out of a meditation, yoga class...not only because of the look, legging and fitness outfits...but also because she is super kind and makes sure you have everything you need. Great couple, great energy! they both speak perfect english. Hostel 55 is great! the single "Pirates" room is great. While looking at the treasure map on the wall, you can look at the see view.. The collective kitchen is very practical. you can put your food in little boxes on the kitchen shelves, so everything stays in order. Staff is great! Daggi and all the surf instructors team! THANKS! I just simply Love this place! Clean SUPER friendly owner and stuff (Andrea and Daggi For example), really cool design, great surf teachers (Hugo ;) ) and all around amazing amazing AMAZING!!!

Great hostel with really fun vibes. The shared kitchen and living area are amazing and make it really easy to meet other people, and are fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your time there. The location is great - not super central so relatively quiet, but also just a few minutes walking distance from everything in town and the beach. The surfings lessons were great once we were at the beach and in the water, Miguel and Bryan were amazing and helped improve from lessons to lesson, but they were very disorganized until that point (getting equipment, getting to the beach and going in the water). Really enjoyed the place and ended up staying for longer than planned, would definitely recommend!

Petite auberge très bien équipée, avec la possibilité de participer à un cours de groupe de surf. La cuisine et la salle commune sont rénovées et bien équipées. Salle de bain ok. Un peu à l’écart au niveau de l’emplacement, mais j’y retournerais!

Single night stay during a surfing vacation. The place is a lot less polished than pictures which were likely taken several years ago soon after opening/renovation. Rooms are clean and fairly well organized with dedicated lockers and included lock. Mattresses are a bit thin but overall decent. Bathrooms are always clean and showers are new, so no issues there. Kitchen is very large and with many tools available as well as some shared food. Location is a bit out from the center but it's very easy to reach on foot. Staff is kind but the reception isn't always at the desk and especially the cleaning was very noisy; in our 6-bed dorm there also was the cabinet with cleaning supplies and we were woken up early in the morning because of it.

Super schönes Hostel!! Sehr sauber, Personal und insbesondere Chefin sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt eine große, gut ausgestattete Küche zum Selbstversorgen. Das Wohnzimmer und die Chillout Area sind unfassbar gemütlich! Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen :) Strand zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Wer in Ericeira ist, sollte hier einen Besuch abstatten :)

Really great hostel ! The staff is amazingly welcoming and makes you feel at home. The rooms and the common spaces are always very clean and the surf classes and yoga are awesome :) Hope to go back !

Really friendly staff. The owner took us surfing and all the surf instructors really want you to progress and have fun! Room upstairs was a bit cold at times. The shared kitchen was well equipped and the lounge and outdoor areas were very comfortable. Would definitely go back as long as they put in some smoke detectors in the rooms!

Un hostel fantàstic. Les habitacions petitones però no necessites més per dormir. Una cuina ben equipada i una sala de descans amb sofàs i taula per compartir bons moments. El personal va ser encantador, i les classes de surf em van fer enamorar d'aquest esport. Si torno per la zona repetiré estància. Per cert, la decoració era genial!

This review is about surfing camp, not the hostel. The surfing is miserable. From the total of 4 hours , 3 hours is waiting and 1 h is actually surfing. The beach matadouro is also quite bad and dangerous due to rocks, strong wind and current. Not recommended.

Exceptionally nice Hostel. Nice staff, Gonzalo and his Family do a good job running this Hostel. Almost every room has a stunning view onto the ocean, facing east you get a lot of afternoon sun and beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to supermarkets for groceries, or into the city to eat out or have a drink at night. Several beaches are in walking distance as well. The Hostel does cater a younger (18-35) crowd.

Great hostel! The owners are kind and friendly. It's not expensive and it's close to surfspots. The only downside is that the rooms have no heating.

Super service, you can always call. Towels you can rent for €2.- a week and you get clean ones whenever you like. The hostel is clean, kitchen is a bit small, but there s enough space to chill. Near the beach and the beachbus which will take you to nice surfplaces!
