Mycket god mat och gott vin. Se bara till att boka bord i förväg!
Vi åt deras riktigt goda torsk med potatis samt en spännande bläck-risotto med fisk o skaldjur! Rekommenderas!

The place was full, even though we arrived pretty late in the evening! Was able to book a table after all the good reviews we've read. It did not disappoint! Both the starter, the main course and the dessert was on point, the house wine being super nice as well. The waiters are really nice, they do everything to make your stay the best possible. Would re-visit 10/10

Pretentious and overpriced.
The ambiance is a little bit odd, and you feel from the start that something is wrong there.
The staff is polite but in a creepy way... trying make us believe the restaurant it's something that it is not.
Extremely poor wine list.
The food is just average.

Tout était absolument parfait ! Nous avons séjourné 5 jours à Sintra et le propriétaire de notre chambre d'hôtes nous avais d'abord envoyé dans un horrible restaurant en face de la gare. Nous avons découvert celui-ci par hasard, le lendemain et nous y sommes retournés 3 fois. C'était un régal. Petite carte, mais des produits locaux et de saison. Le service parfait et attentionné, le vin délicieux, la déco très originale et de bon goût. Nous sommes allés au Portugal pour notre voyage de noces et l'ambiance lumineuse le soir est très intime et feutrée, juste comme on l'espérait pour un dîner en amoureux.

No solo la comida, de una calidad impresionante; ni el servicio, atentísimo, siempre pendiente, profesional y familiar; ni el local en sí, bonito, espacioso, exquisitamente decorado...
Sino todo el conjunto, que es una maravilla.
Sin duda alguna uno de los mejores restaurantes de la zona Lisboa-Estoril-Cascais-Sintra.
Totalmente aconsejable.

We were looking for both a wonderful experience and a wonderful meal, and A Raposa delivered. Nothing but good things to say. The baked fish (we ordered the day in advance) was outstanding, the bread is (as others have said) not to be missed. Can't go wrong on this menu. A fun and contemporary take on Portuguese cuisine. Service was both fun and excellent. And we got treated to a surprise Fado at the end of our meal!
Make sure to make reservations ahead of time, and don't forget to ring the doorbell when you get there!
Best meal we had on our three week trip to Europe. We will be back.

A cosy Portuguese style restaurant hosting by a lovely senior couples. Food is insanely amazing. Probably better than a lot of fine diners in Lisbon. You can’t miss this place when visiting Sintra.

Wow wow and just wow. Food was so delicious, fresh ingredients. Loved it when they use fresh fruits in their dishes. Everything was amazing and worth the price (not so cheap) because of the creativity and scrumptious flavours. I would recommend the quinoa salad, foie gras (goose leaver) , tropical carpaccio. As mentioned before, the server doesn't speak good English, but it didn't disturb the communication

Just had an amazing night at A Raposa. Everything from the decor, service, atmosphere and then the FOOD. Absolutely the best meal we have had since arriving in Portugal 6 nights ago. If you can get a table you should definitely go, you won't be disappointed .

Mal.Nos dejan en la calle porque llevamos ropa de sport, vaqueros y camisa.Si así tratan a la gente mejor no ir, aunque la excusa que te dan es que está completo, y veo por la ventana que hay varias mesas vacías. Por cierto los precios de los platos de 18€ para arriba. No ir.

What. The. Actual. Hell... bread & olive oil should not be this good but, it is. Do it!
This was our best meal for weeks all over Portugal; black sausage, vegetarian risotto, pork & seasonal veg in red wine sauce... and a delicious bottle of red.
The hospitality was superb, the room is understated, go for a memorable meal!

Buonissimo, non turistico, pochi piatti selezionati. Meglio prenotare, ha pochi posti. Se siete italiani non prendete il risotto, potreste restare delusi. Polpo buonissimo. Atmosfera molto curata. Dovrebbe essere anche una sala da tè.

Restaurante fantástico con un
estilo palaciego distribución de las mesas de tal manera que cada una de ellas es un pequeño atolón individual con privacidad absoluta. Con una carta-menú excelente y unos platos originales con productos de máxima calidad, atendido con magníficos profesionales atentos y en todo momento rápidamente te informan de cualquier duda que se tenga sobre la creación del plato elegido.
La última noche tuvimos la suerte de ser atendidos por Dña. Graciela, encantadora señora que nos obsequió con su hermosa voz con dos Fados tan emotivos que fueron capaces de que nuestros corazones vibrasen al son de su actuación, gracias Gracciela algo que es impagable.

Absolutely amazing! The bread is served with a mixture of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, caramel, and sea salt. Simply the taste of heaven! The pork is cooked with red wine, and melts upon the first touch of your tongue!
The service is also great quality, and the atmosphere is romantic and comfy especially for the table next to the window.
I would come back to Sintra just for this restaurant!

Fuimos a probar comer en A Raposa por las buenas referencias leídas y superó con creces nuestras expectativas. Sergio nos atendió de manera excepcional.
Hacía tiempo que no disfrutábamos de una comida con tantos matices de sabores. No nos defraudaron ninguno de los platos que pedimos.
El salón pequeño, acogedor y decorado con exquisitez. Será visita obligada cada vez que volvamos a Sintra.

Not really the experience we were looking for. We were the only ones in the restaurant
We got the starter industrial cheese on industrial toasts for 9 euros and then the rest not that good neither. The service was not bad. A really nice place for not so good food unfortunately

Ótimo lugar, principalmente por ser um dos poucos que se encontravam abertos depois das 19h. Ambiente muito bonito. Perfeito para casais. Os pratos são muito bons, e os preços são razoáveis (prato para 2 pessoas por 40 euros, e vinhos por 5 euros a taça).

INCREDIBLE, the best meal of our entire trip in Portugal!! You must make a reservation to dine here, as there are only a few tables. Fell in love with our server, the sweetest woman who made sure we had the best time. The food was out of this world, just unreal. Couldn't have asked for a more amazing dining experience!!!

This place came highly recommended, but although the space and atmosphere were pleasant and seemed upscale, the food itself was at the level of middle/class café, both portion and quality not to mention lack of creativity were far from justifying the pricing which was way higher than the return.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant, fantastic people, (service was above and beyond), and delicious food. Rather unique in that the restaurant layout is very nice and spacious. Small menu, but just about everything we ordered was perfect, memorable, and of course very tasty.

We had a wonderful meal here. We eat out a lot, and the food and service here were top-notch. We even had a spontaneous fado performance from one of the servers. Our server was kind and knowledgeable. Reserve ahead.

Beautiful, calm, unique interior. We arrived around 1:30pm on a Saturday without reservation, and were taken to a table. We were a party of 4. I ordered the salmon with risotto, wonderful flavor. My sister ordered the squid ink risotto, she had wished there was more fish inside. My brother ordered the pork and loved every bite. My boyfriend ordered the steak but found it to be undercooked and chewy. We were not very hungry to begin with but kept seeing appetizers of yellow bread with cheese, and would definitely order that if we return. Pleasant atmosphere, nice staff. Thank you!

Absolutely brilliant! Easily the best bread I've had in years - crumbly on the outside, soft and warm on the inside. Add fresh cheese and olive oil to it, and you get food nirvana. We also tried the black sausage, which is really flavoursome and a great starter. The fish risotto was totally worth it too, but we were already full (the bread was just magical). The service is awesome, and make sure you ask the staff for wine recommendations to go with your food choices.

Wow! Just wow! A beautiful dining room, super friendly service and the food was simply outstanding, even the house wine was excellent. Make sure to save space for dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection, A Raposa totally blew us away!

完璧にオススメのレストランです。
簡素な外観とは裏腹に内装が驚くほど洗練されていて、愛らしさと壮麗さを程よく合わせた品のある店内に入った時には息を呑んだ。
料理も素晴らしい。豚肉のワイン煮込みは柔らかく、下に敷き詰められた針のように細くカリカリにあげられたポテトとの相性がバッチリ。私はイカスミのリゾットに感動したた。それの見た目は真っ黒で分からないが中にタコとタラが入っているので食感も楽しい。オレンジのような何か柑橘っぽい香りがかすかにして手の込んだ一品だ。グラスワインも頼んで40ユーロほど。
ウェイトレスは70代ぐらいのおばあちゃんだったが、笑顔もなく冷淡な印象だ。。しかし彼女は英語が話せないだけで、ポルトガル語でとても美味しいことを伝えると笑顔でありがとうと答えてくれた。厳しいおばあちゃんの芯にあるのは優しさなのだと感じ取れる人柄のお方です。

Graziella, our lovely host and server greeted us at the door after we rang the bell. She doesn't speak much English but she doesn't need to. She s intuitive from experience. The food was exceptional. The ambiance of the room is scrumptious, just what we needed after being in Portugal for a month. The food was delicious! We google translated our delight of the service and food amd then Graziella surprised us all with her beautiful Fado. She turned down the music and sang so beautiful! What an amazing treat! We made reservations for another night the following week to treat a friend. What a blessing Sergio has with Graziella! Highly reccomended.

Lovely setting/surrounding. Had the steak with paprika and pink peppercorns, followed by the gateau with salted caramel ice cream, both equally delicious, savoured every bite.

Charming place, delicate interior design, private and with a touch of exclusive elegance, this little restaurant awaits the traveller with a limited but well chosen menu. We had the black sea food risotto and the vegetarian risotto which both were rich on flavours and soft on the tongue. The lady serving us did not speak English but didn't hesitate to communicate via gestures and friendly smiles between portuguese instructions. She gave the place spirit!
Lovely lunch, beautiful setting!
We recommend restaurant starts serving normal coca cola - and not only diet version.

Fuimos a comer por casualidad.al restaurante en si está decorado con mucho gusto,es espacioso y no hay nada de ruido. Las dos personas que te atienden son muy amables sobre todo él. la comida está muy rica bien servida,con mucho detalle y con rapidez. Recomiendo totalmente este restaurante si vas a Sintra.

This was by far our best food experience on our trip to Portugal. The food was absolutely amazing, the sourroundings so beautiful. We had the best risotto (with duck) in our lives, sublime wine - and a dessert with chocolate cake and salty caramel ice cream we will never forget. Very, very friendly and discrete service too. We will be back for sure, to try out the rest of the menu.

Excellent dinner! We had the salmon and cod dish, both cooked to perfection. Service was warm and prompt. Our waitress suggested a lovely wine for us. Nice ambience for a romantic dinner. Highly recommend if you are visiting Sintra!

Read the reviews and had to try! Walked in and there was a small table outside. We were bought into a beautiful room inside where most people would eat. However, as the sun was shining, we wanted to sit outside and this request was accommodated. The chef personally came out to greet us and take our order. (This is cause we were there early I think). He was amazing!!! We didn't want a full meal and wanted loads of tapas that he made especially for us. It came out at a perfect pace and we were there about 2 hours and couldn't recommend the food enough. Very highly recommended if you love food and the personal touch.

Hidden on a side street, the restaurant's entrance keeps the wonderfully decorated dining room hidden. The food was a pleasant surprise, successfully using traditional portuguese ingredients in interesting ways (olive oil and honey!).
Note: if you find the restaurant's door closed just ring the bell to get in.
