Great Indian food. They worked with me and made exactly what I wanted even though it wasn’t on the menu (chana saag). My only complaint is that rice is a separate cost (2 euros). Overall still inexpensive though (~12 euros per person including a soda). Would definitely recommend and will return when back in Lagos!

Great Indian restaurant!! The food was absolutely delicious! Thank you for the awesome green chillies :) I would highly recommend this restaurant, the service was unbelievable friendly and I will definitely go there again.

Das Essen war ganz gut, der Service schien jedoch überfordert. So haben wir z.B. fast 45min auf die ersten Getränke warten müssen. Andere Gäste hatten ihr Essen vor den Getränken.

Best Indian food I've had so far! I didn't expect to find such a good meal all the way in Lagos and was really surprised. The place has a wide variety of authentic plates that really carry flavor. I asked for my lamb biryani with a little spice and it was perfect. This was a really great find, give it a try and see for yourself!

Tasty but don't expect authentic indian food. I wonder if the guys in the kitchen might be Sri Lankan or something like that. Also bring your own water, they only serve water from expensive small plastic bottles.

The food was really good. I did not expect such a good quality Indian food in a small town like Lagos. I would still give 4 stars because of the server. I would have appreciated a smile on her face. She seemed too rude/not interested/ sad/ whatever a customer might not expect.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Gute Auswahl. Auch vegetarisch. Alles sauber und ganz net eingerichtet. Könnte etwas mehr Charme haben. Bedienung war freundlich aber man war sich nicht sicher, ob sie froh über Gäste war. Preise OK. Alles im allem eine weiterempfehlung.

Amazing place! The butter chicken was too good. Perfectly cooked and an amazing blend of spices. The chef even offered house special green chillies sauce which literally took me back home. Must visit if you want Indian food in Lagos.

As an Indian I would not recommend this place. To the locals it is a good place to eat Indian food. Spices are localized to the area and seemed different than what I am used to.

Really delicious Indian food, completely unexpected for a such small town in Portugal! Dal Makhani was a crowd favorite and the dishes were pretty spicy. Excellent naan. Service takes awhile, but everything came out very fresh and piping hot. Highly recommended.

It was a busy Monday night for just one server. The house white wine left much to be desired however the food was worth waiting for. The garlic naan was delightful and daal curry was excellent! The chicken korma was too sweet. the service got better as the evening progressed. I would come back.

Supeeer recomendo! Nunca tinha provado comida indiana antes e fiquei completamente rendida para além de que o atendimento é óptimo, visto que não conhecia os pratos fizeram questão de me explicar pra que pudesse escolher melhor e o local é muito acolhedor! Tudo fantástico, com certeza que numa próxima oportunidade que visite Lagos irei a este restaurante de novo

Jedzenie przerosło moje oczekiwania, obsługa bardzo upszejma i profesjonalna. Od samego progu pogodna panuje pogodna atmosfera. Szkoda że nie wzialem chleba do kurczaka bo wyjadłbym caly sos a takto tylko wyskrobalem łyżką :D polecam na 100%

Took one hour to get food. When we got the food at last, there where no rice because that is something we would have to order in addition. The waiter said nothing of this and didn’t ask when we ordered so we had to wait for this as well. Waiter was not inviting and short in speach. Food was mediocre.

We were visiting Portugal from New York and were craving some Indian food. We tried Ashoka and wow what an amazing surprise! Probably the best Indian food I’ve had in Europe. Cheese naan and lamb were the best! Simple place but great food and service. Must go in Lagos.

Excellent service and food is delicious. We had 4 dishes, Tikki Masala, butter chicken, chicken bhuna, chicken Parthia.. all were aromatic and each possesing their own distinct flavor. We tried mango lassi, banana and mango shake all sweet but not to sweet. A change in our pallet while vacationing in Portugal.

Indio bueno bueno para toda la familia buenas cantidades para el precio con un servicio portugués correcto aunque si las miradas matasen yo ya estaría en la morgue. Pedimos pollo al curry muy bueno pan indio con ajo también muy bueno el curry de lentejas fetén y el chicken Tikka aceptable. COMO RESUMEN PA CENAR O ENCENDER UN MOTOR A PEDOS VAS BIEN.
NO AHORA ENSERIO LAS GUARNICIONES SON POTENTES.

Wir haben uns kurz reingesetzt, aber den intensiven Geruch/Gestank von der Küche nicht ausgehalten. Die Kellnerin war ganz nett und die Tische waren einigermaßen schön gedeckt, aber wir haben uns dann doch für das eindeutig bessere Restaurant nebenan entschieden. (Alma Lusa Restaurante)

This restaurant doesnt even deserve 1 star. I ordered Dahl Tarka and my husband ordered Lamb Tikka Masala.
Both dishes had no flavor, the lamb bits were hard and overcooked, the sauce tasted like they added ketchup to it.
The Dahl Tarka was tasteless, I could have opened a can of lentils at home and poured them over rice and they would have tasted better.
The Naan bread had no flavor either, just greasy flat bread.
It was like eating hospital food!
Do not spend your money here, you will be so disappointed.

Reply the best curry I had so far. Loved it and the guys were so friendly! The garlic bread is awesome and chickpeas and cauliflower were my highlights.
The only thing you guys should work on is a coffee machine - the espresso has been... let’s call it “room to improve”.

The taste was so good and so Indian, as an Indian I think I can comment that , also the place was very friendly and the menu is so rich, reminds you of konkan beach styles (even though they aren't )

This has been the best Indian food I have ever had. We have all really enjoyed eating here and the staff are lovely and accommodating. With two vegans, a vegetarian and two meat eaters we aren't the easiest group to feed. But this restaurant made sure our meals were perfect. I really recommend this restaurant

Hands down the worst Indian food ive ever eaten. Reviews made it seem alright, i tried it twice considering I was staying close and both times was absolutely disgusting. Chefs have no idea how to cook Indian food, literally just making it up. Don’t usually write bad reviews but can’t help myself with this one.

For starters we chose fried vegetables and for main dish we had Chicken Vindaloo and Paneer with Lemon and Green Peppers. Of course we had Naan as a side dish.
Everything was delicious! And the service was outstanding.
In case you love Indian food, I can only recommend to go there.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und ging auch detailliert auf Fragen über die Gerichte und Zutaten ein. Preis Leistung stimmt wie immer in diesen Stadtteil. Last euch nicht von der Mikrowelle an der offenen Küche abschrecken. Damit werden die Teller warm gemacht :-)

Es war essbar, war aber alles andere als Authentische Indische Küche. Selten so ein schlechten Gemüse Korma gegessen. Frisches Gemüse scheint hier keine Verwendung zu finden. Es gibt Erbsen, Möhren und Mais aus der Dose. Die Einrichtung ist geschmacklos und zusammen gewürfelt, war wohl vorher mal ein Italiener drin. Wirklich nicht zu empfehlen!

Nicht zu empfehlen. Zubereitung dauert zu lange, für vegetarische Produkte wird Convinience / TK Gemüse genutzt. Naan Brot und Chicken Tikka Masala war okay, aber eben nur durchschnittlich. Einrichtung eher 80er und vermutlich ein Mix aus vorherigen Einrichtungen. Charlie Chaplin Toiletten Schilder, Seemannsknoten in Bilderrahmen gemixt mit Jim Beam Spiegelbildern und indischen Elementen. Eher traurig.

Best Indian food I had in whole Portugal... much better than any restaurants in Bristol, UK. The staff was very helpful. The service was good and even the chef asked us for feedback. The atmosphere is nice and the food was worth every penny I spent.

Great service and amazing food. The chef came out, spoke to us and made some amazing recommendations. We ended going back the next day. Our kids loved their chicken tikka masala, we actually had to stop them from licking their plates. Great prices.

Wir waren zum lunch hier. Sehr lecker und frisch gekocht. Butterchicken cremig und zart, Auberginen Curry sehr lecker und das Naan garlic knusprig. Netter Service vom Chef, auch den Kindern hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Auf Fall empfehlenswert.

Super lecker und freundliches Personal auch noch. Wir sitzen noch hier, sind gerade mit dem Essen fertig und so begeistert, dass wir das gleich teilen möchten. Authentischer geht es nicht. Spicy, hot, fresh. So lecker kann indisch sein.

After day after day of grilled fish, having some spice was a good change of pace. I suspect that the recipes are catered to Portuguese tastes but the food was still tasty. The vegetable samosa and tandoor items were the best.

Wow. A hidden gem under the apparency of a maybe a little outdated restaurant. Don't let it fool you, it's one of the best Indian tandooris I've ever tasted, period. And curries were spectacular as well, served with aromatized rice and very well done paratha bread. Try it, is the kind of food you expect from much more pricy restaurants at main cities. The kind of place you're going to miss when you're back from your holidays.

Amazing restaurant, the food, the staff, everything is amazing. It is hidden from the crowded city center and it offers peace and great food with good prices. It doesn't look appealing from the outside, so don't get confused, it's great from the inside.

Brilliant food. Absolutely amazing. Portions(quantity) was quite good and prices were also decent. The taste was as authentic as a restaurant in India. We were skeptical to try at first, but ended up going everyday there, till i was in Lagos. Really liked the dishes, and ofcourse, mango lassi. Biryani, even though, was good in taste, contained almonds, raisins etc (which I don't prefer).
Our one of top 3 choices for authentic INDIAN food in Europe. (at par with Himal, Innsbruck and Golden Tikka, Prague)

Fortreffelig service, hyggelig atmosfære og utsøkt mat. Kylling Madras, stekt rus med urter og nanbrød med hvitløk og ost er noe av den beste indiske maten jeg noen sinne har spist. Min søster spiste korma vegetar og har samme opplevelse som meg. Hit skal vi tilbake og nyte utsøkt mat, anbefales på det sterkeste.

Ashoka Tandoori could easily be the best Indian restaurant in Portugal. Wonderful pakoras and samosas. Main dishes are edible hot. Great serving and friendly talkative staff.
