Outdated place and menu. For example too much cocktail sauce in relation to the shrimps and avocados. Quantity of the wine was ok, quality not so good... But friendly service!

The location is wonderful. The hotel rooms need updating and bedding and beds definitely need to be replaced. We would go to a different location because of the décor and well used furnishings and washroom.The staff was helpful and very polite and accommodating.

It’s a good and cheap place to stay in front of the beach. The receptionist is very nice and the rooms are not updated but cleaned. The whole accommodation definitely needs update and the restaurant service needs more attention as food wasn’t that good and service very slow. Overall 3 stars

Sometimes good location means that a lot of people are around there. Some of them make a lot of noise. If you like that, this might be a great spot to stay.

Einfaches, sauberes Hotel mir hinterem Blick auf den Fluss. Vorne heraus liegt die stark befahrene Straße, dann Promenade und Strand. Sehr zuvorkommendes, nettes Personal und sehr nette Besitzer. Schlichtes, ausreichendes Frühstück und einfache, leckere Gerichte im Restaurant. Uns hat es gefallen.

Restaurant : Bon qualité prix, plus élevé qu'à Faro par contre c est normal on est sur le île de Faro. Le mardi soir il y a une animation avec un chanteur. Les serveurs parlent français et son très sympathique. Ils prennent le temps de vous expliquer.

Hotel probabilmente un po datato ma ben tenuto.Ideale per pernottare prima della partenza vicinissimo all'aeroporto, ma tranquillo anche se sulla strada, panorama al tramonto molto bello, camera ampia e accogliente, pulizia buona ma migliorabile.. il letto però comodo e pulitissimo, in camera bollitore x caffè tè e tisane.. ci siamo trovati bene. Consiglio la camera della foto probabilmente le altre sono un po meno belle. La Signora molto gentile. Consigliato x rapporto qualità prezzo.

The only good thing about this place is that is located on the beach and in summer thats great. However the hotel its very old fashion with very uncomfortable bed at least in my room. Its not recommended if you dont have a car as it is far from city and there is no bus access to town. Ive booked for 3 night but after 1st night of bad sleep Ive changed hotel. For the same price found in city centre good modern hotel.

Es gibt hier eine große Dachterrasse mit Sitzmöglichkeiten die scheinbar niemand kennt einfach die Treppe an der Rezeption ganz hochgehen. Die Tür oben ist immer offen.

Lady at desk and man both were very nice and helpful.
Rooms were nice, air conditioning worked well, and room was relatively clean. Beds were comfortable.
We woke up late and were offered a free buffet breakfast even after it was closed. Up and beyond service.
Would go back again.

We've stayed with the lovely people at Aeromar in Faro for 2 nights, checking out the third day.
Everything was spot on from begining to end.
We've arrived in the afternoon and decided to head straight out to the beach after checking in. And guess what: the hotel offers their customers beach towels so make sure you ask about that; save yourself some room in the luggage for souvenirs (which you can find literally across the street and they're lovely)
The rooms without balcony face the lagoon (where you can see the sunrise) and the rooms with balcony face the ocean (where the sun sets)
The €6 breakfast per person is more than worth it with their open buffet.
Food is delicious and fresh. Truly a mediterranean feast. Try dinner as well ar least once. Their €16 tourist menu will put you to the test as it's loaded with food, drinks, pudding and coffee all included in the price.
Sagres beer (which is the best you'll ever have in Portugal) is just €1.50 for 0.33 cl
At one point we've booked a boat tour but missed our bus so the lovely Vina at the reception stepped up and sorted us out speaking on the phone in portuguese with the tour people. She proved to be if immense help all throughout our stay. Ask her about the bus timetables for the bus into town as it differs from peak season to out of season.
Don't be shy and ask for traditional Algarve food. Try Pastel de nata it's incredible. They've got it at the hotel.
The staff all together ia amazing and open-minded from reception to restaurant as well as the nice cleaning staff they've got
When checking out from the hotel we've left friends which I'm sure happens everytime
So don't hesitate in staying at this lovely resort by the beach
5 stars for the entire 3-day experience we've had in this friendly, welcoming hotel with that personal touch they've got in every single room

I went sunday evening for dinner, i choose the set menu for €16, absolutely fantastic price, bread & pate, selection of fresh cooked fish, with mixed salad, potatoes & veg, then a choose of pudding. Wine, beer or sangria included too, then a coffee. Service was too relaxed for me, waiting 20 mins for a drink, but the sangria was delicious & the food was great, lovely views of the lake as well, definitely recommend for the fish alone, staff were friendly. I can't comment on actual hotel as i didn't stay here but highly recommended for dinner.

positiv war das nette servicepersonal. Dem gegenüber standen leider mehrere Dinge,die unseren Aufenthalt nicht angenehm machten.wir hatten ein total kaputtes Bett, was uns die Nacht nicht durchschlafen ließ. Es wackelte und knarzte bei jeder bewegung.hinzu kamen ständig vibrierende Balkonfenster vom Fluglärm (okay,dafür kann das Hotel ja eigentlich nichts). Aber für dünne Wände was das ganze hotel seeehr hellhörig macht kann es schon was. Das Frühstück war den Preis nicht wert. Nach einem Mal haben wir es gelassen: kein frisches Obst und Gemüse,für Vegetarier als auch für Wurst liebende Menschen gab es wenig attraktive Auswahl. Das hotel verfügte zudem eigentlich über keinerlei private Gäste bezogene Parkplätze.der Standort ist zwar gold wert aber dementsprechend sind viele Leute mit dem Auto dar....alles ist vollgestellt mit autos.ein großer auffangparkplatz für Strandbesucher wird nicht angenommen,da es auch kein Shuttle gibt. Die Konsequenz ist lauter Verkehr und alles ist zugestellt mit Autos. die eigentlichen Gäste vor Ort müssen ewig suchen wenn sie Mal einen Tagesausflug gemacht haben...insgesamt muss man jedoch sagen dass man zwar nicht schlafen konnte und sich über das Parkproblem aufrechte, jedoch die Zimmer sauber waren.es gab ebenso free WiFi.

No puedo valorar el hotel, pero si su restaurante. Huíamos de los chiringos de la playa de Faro buscando comida tradicional y lo conseguimos. Comimos un arroz con marisco excepcional con vistas a la ría Formosa. Un sitio sencillo y con un trato muy cercano.

Had a lovely time at Hotel Aeromar. The staff were helpful, friendly and patient. Although the hotel is dated it is not dirty like other people are saying. The breakfast was good value at 6 euros with plenty of choice. I had a couple of evening meals and enjoyed them both and reasonably priced.The price of the accommodation was good value for money. There are buses quite often from over the bridge into Faro via the airport. I was there for a week at the beginning of November and enjoyed the out of season quietness and the weather was good too. Thank you to all the staff and good luck for the future. Kind regards Karen.

Lovely restaurant very close to Faro beach, easy to reach with bus no. 16 from bus station in Faro. 3 course meal for 16 euro is very large and have coffee espresso included. We had sardel patté with fresh bread, fish menu and caramel puding as desert. Fish is grilled only with a pinch of sea salt, excellent. Jar of sangria is as drink must do. Delicious.

The Aeromar is a quaint little place. It has everything you could possibly need, certainly for an overnight stay before an early flight from Faro. Its a bit old fashioned but friendly, clean and (for our stay) quiet. Our room overlooked the river, which was lovely. Theres a restaurant and snack bar, and other eating/drinking places literally across the road. We ate at O Rui, which does very good fish and seafood. We would happily stay again.

Honestly, this place was very charming. The staff were lovely and honestly the decor Is kitschy but it works. Biggest drawback was the noise outside in the morning - lots of traffic along a bumpy road - but it’s in such a spectacular location and it’s got a different charm than the big antiseptic resorts. And the beach in Faro is gorgeous.

Super Lage, da man nur 10min mit Auto vom Flughafen fährt, Super freundliches Personal, Zimmer sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und könnten ein bisschen sauberer sein im Bad aber für einen Zwischenstopp von 3 Tagen, wie für uns, reichte es vollkommen wenn man sowieso nur zum schlafen duschen und frühstücken dort ist. Ab und zu hört man mal die Flugzeuge, was uns aber nie gestört hat.

Hotel anticuadísimo. El baño tan viejo que daba asco usar inodoro o bañera. Olía fatal, cuando limpian la habitación le meten ambientador a tope para disimular el mal olor, pero al rato ya es incómodo. El mobiliario de hace 50 años y metido con calzador en la habitación. No había ni por dónde moverse. El wifi lento. Anuncian parking gratuito, pero se refieren a la calle (!). A determinadas horas es imposible aparcar. El ruido de los aviones es muy alto, aunque eso le pasará a todos los hoteles del entorno.

Ik vond dit echt een top hotel. De locatie is geweldig, aan het strand. Het ontbijt is wel wat karig maar acceptabel. De kamers waren wat ouderwets ingericht maar prima genoeg. De receptiemedewerkers waren zeer behulpzaam. Wij hebben voor weinig geld (weet het niet meer) een fiets kunnen huren en hebben we de omgeving verkend. De ferry naar Faro zit vlakbij en is echt een aanrader. Wij komen hier weer een keer terug!

Here are my honest thoughts about our stay.[Positive]- Amazing location (a few literal steps from the beach, Ria Formosa and several restaurants in the Island of Faro)- From the hotel, its very quick (15min drive) to get into Faro and 5 minutes (with no traffic) into to the airport- Food at the Hotels restaurant is Excellent and very tasty (and fairly priced) although I found the menu a little bit limited (in terms of options)- Hotel and Rest staff were amazing! Very friendly, helpful and caring. Also they speak a number of languages (I heard Spanish, Eng, French)- Some rooms (facing the beach) have large varandas, that was a delight- Hotel has Wifi- Rooms have aircon and a small TV- Hotel offers beach towels/sun umbrella[Negative]- This hotel (and its in room furniture) are quite dated (although some people may enjoy the old school 80s vibe)- The rooms dont contain small refrigerators, so if you did not get a deal which included breakfast, half board or all inclusive youll be struggling to store simple things like drinks, dairy products etc. (although the hotel offered to store it for us in the restaurant fridge)- No board/iron- We have very high standards of cleanliness. Our bathroom was not clean to the level I expect of hotel rooms. We had to buy bleach and give it a deep clean ourselves in order to feel 100% comfortable. - Room lighting is very poor- Beds are hard and uncomfortableOverall, 7.5/10. We had a really nice time.:)

Das Hotel per se sieht nicht sehr einladend aus, allerdings wollte ich zum Essen hin, grottig!
Die Kellner gelangweilt, ich hab gefragt ob der Tisch frei ist und er antwortet ohne mich anzugucken „Ja ja“.
Danach habe ich 15 Minuten auf dem Kellner gewartet (sein Kollege) und obwohl er 4 mal an mir vorbei ist, nicht mal ein „Hallo“, geschweige denn ich konnte eine Bestellung aufgeben!
Dann bin ich gegangen!
Das Lokal war auch fast leer, auch kein gutes Zeichen

Die einzig 2 positiven Punkte: Nähe zum Flughafen und Strand vor der Tür. Die Zimmer sind alt, die Möbel stinken, Vorhang dreckig, Bad sehr klein. Wir konnten zum Glück das Zimmer wechseln, weil der Gestank der Möbel nicht auszuhalten war. Frühstück ist akzeptabel. Für eine Nacht geht es, preislich aber nicht gerechtfertigt.

The place was immaculate and the staff were always friendly and happy to help! We only went into Faro one of the days we were there, but the beach and surrounding areas was very nice and relaxing - even if we had to walk very far for water on a Sunday (though this is nothing to do with the hotel). Extremely enjoyable experience for a romantic getaway

La sdb complète avec même un bidet et 2 gants de toilettes !
Petite terrasse (nous vue sur mer, enfin rue puis bars puis mer) à côté du parking.
Restaurant et bar dans l'hôtel mais pas de service continue, horaires à respecter.
Wifi gratuit mais que 2 prises ds la chambre

Struttura vecchiotta che avrebbe bisogno di un consistente intervento di ammodernamento. Tuttavia è abbastanza confortevole, molto pulito e il personale è cortese e disponibile, wifi gratuito e potente.
Inoltre la posizione è davvero splendida. Io ci tornerò.

Das Restaurant ist oberes Niveau. Alles frisch und lokal. Ich bin das zweite mal hier und werde wiederkommen.

La ubicación es inmejorable, en plena playa. El mobiliario del hotel es antiguo pero han mejorado la instalación de wifi que llega fluidamente a todos los rincones del hotel. El trato es muy bueno y la comida está bastante bien. En general la calidad precio es bastante buena. Yo lo aconsejo.

Ich hab nur zwei Tage gebucht, weil ich mich vor Ort erst einmal umsehen wollte.
Aber das Aeromar ist vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar.
Ich hab dann verlängert und gleich 5 Eur / Nacht mehr bezahlt.
Heizung gibt es keine (wirkliche). Das sollte man beim Reisetermin berücksichtigen.
Die Leute hier sind nett und hilfsbereit.
Im Sommer steigen sich angeblich die Touris auf die Füße.
Deswegen war ich auch vor Ostern da. Der Preis: Frieren!
Taxifahrer sind echt unverschämt. Einen 10er kosten schon ganz kurze Fahrten.
Ich hab mich jetzt ans Busfahren gewöhnt. Die fahren selten (alle 45 - 60 min), aber pünktlich.
Für 2,40 ist man dabei.
Da es nicht so weit von Deutschland ist, eine gute Alternative zu Thailand & Co..
Nur sollte man vorher den Wetterbericht anschauen: dieses Jahr soll es sehr windig sein.
Das ist ernst gemeint!

bloß 3 kilometer, also fußläufig, vom flughafen entfernt; bushaltestelle um z.b.nach faro ( über flughafen ) zu kommen, in ~ 5 min. vom hotel erreichbar. superfreundiche, engagierte gastgeber. restaurant mit frühstücksangebot, dieses habe ich aber nicht genutzt. besonders angetan war ich von der lage des hotels; links der ria formosa, rechts der ungezähmte atlantik! :-)

Hotel jest skromnie urządzony, ale na kilkudniowy wypad w sam raz. Jedzenie bardzo dobre, obsługa bardzo miła. Żeby dojść na plażę wystarczy przejść na drugą stronę ulicy i przejść przez pasaż handlowy (hola budek że zdjęcia). Byliśmy na początku czerwca, była bardzo mało turystów - w Albuferii były tłumy. Taxi z lotniska wyszła jakieś 9 euto, ale jest reż autobus którym można zabrać się na lotnisko lub do centrum miasta za jakieś 3 euro.

O hotel tem um ótimo atendimento por todos, principalmente pela sra. Vina e sr. Carlos, muito simpáticos e atenciosos! Amei!! Me senti em casa, obrigada !!! está localizado entre o mar e a ria de Faro, onde podemos assistir o nascer e o pôr do sol . É maravilhoso !!! Tem camas confortáveis e comida muito boa feita pela sra. Zweckmäßiges Hotel da Flugzeugnähe und daher ideal. 5 Min.Zimmer altmodisch und modrig, die Zeit ist hier stehen geblieben.

Adorável...instalções antigas, mas limpo, exremamente bem atendido, localização muito boa : Mar e Ria Formosa. Restaurante junto ao hotel bom e com atendimento ótimo, me senti em casa!

Das Zimmer war dunkel und einfach eingerichtet,aber ok.Das hoteleigene Restaurant hatte einen schönen Ausblick und das Essen war hervorragend

Hôtel confortable très bien situé entre la Ria et la plage. Personnel très agréable. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est un lieu très convivial autour de plats traditionnels portugais très bien servis.
Seul bémol, la proximité de l'aéroport qui est gênante seulement en journée.

Leider waren im Hotel relativ viele staubige Ecken (zb Lampe oder Badezimmer), die Bedienung war nett und der Ausblick hervorragend, die Betten ebenfalls sehr komfortabel

Établissement très agréable avec un personnel au petits soins et parlant français.
Hôtellerie simple, face à l'océan, dans la réserve naturelle du río Formosa, très bon ptit déjeuner, restauration snack ou traditionnelle très bonne . A cinq minutes de l'aéroport et sans les inconvénients de celui-ci. Immense plage de 5 kilomètres. Belles balades...

Not suitable for long stays. Room very small , could hear everything around you, no fridge in room or kettle, air conditioning was very good. Very suitable for airport next day

Ci ho solo cenato ma sono ststo dfavvero bene, ottimi prezzi per me, personale gentile e accogliente, il ristorante non da sull'oceano, ma sula laguna, però si vede l'aereoporto con gli aere che atterranoe decollano con frquenze di pochi minuti, la città e le colline dell'interno sullo sfondo, veder clare la notte da li è cmq un bello spettacolo.

Nahe beim Flughafen und Strand.Gutes Frühstück ab 6.30h. Mückennetze vor den Fenstern. Strand unmittelbar vor der Haustüre.Einfaches, aber zweckmässiges Hotel, das den Abschied nach Ferien etwas leichter macht. Günstig!

Schäbige Absteige in fantastischer Lage! Wir hatten eines der günstigen Zimmer ohne Balkon; man traute sich kaum, irgendetwas anzufassen. Die Fernbedienungen für den museumsreifen Fernseher und die Klimaanlage waren noch speckiger als die Läufer neben dem Bett. Alles im Zimmer - bis auf die Matratzen - war alt und abgenutzt, das Sofa hätte schon vor 30 Jahren auf den Sperrmüll gehört. Laken und Bettwäsche waren sauber, die Matratzen straff, das Bett allerdings wackelig und "quietschig". Positiv zu erwähnen ist das reichhaltige Frühstück, das man auf der Terrasse mit wunderbarem Blick auf die Lagune einnehmen kann.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Hotel sauber , Essen war gut, Frühstück könnte man verbessern, Rühreier und Speck meistens kalt. Brötchen und Tost sind sehr gut. Preis fürs Doppelzimmer sehr günstig. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Everything at this place is old and outdated, and not in a charming way. Our room didn't smell good. The bathroom smelled excessively like chlorine. We like hard mattresses but this one was hard as a rock. The guy at the breakfast bar was nice but the breakfast itself very mediocre. We did not dare to try the restaurant. We found the price very high for this accomodation.

Portugal red hot sunshine is nice to come across a hotel like the Aeromar,
Where it is possible to sit outside and eat and drink in the warm air but sheltered in the shade, like a Oasis in the Desert.

Oldschool hotel with old furnitures and indoor architecture in a great location for going to the beach. No convention stores nearby however you can choose from plenty of restaurants to have food at or you can just eat at the hotel's canteen. Unlimited WiFi connection in the rooms

Um nichts zutun, ist dieses einfache Hotel gut. Luxus kann man und soll man hier nicht erwarten.Das Personal ist sehr flexibel, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Das Hotel liegt auf der Ilha de Faro, von zwei Seiten mit Blick aufs Meer und/ oder die Lagune. Man kann die Flugzeuge starten und landen sehen und auch hören. Der Lärm hält sich aber trotzdem in Grenzen, weil die Fenster gut isoliert sind. Zum Strand sind es wenige Meter.Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach aber sauber. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich.Zum Flughafen kann man sogar zu Fuß gehen. Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn der Flieger spät ankommt bzw. früh abfliegt.

Das Zimmer richt muffig, Inventar ziemlich alt, Miniröhrenfernseher mit sehr schlechter Bild-und Tonqualität. Angenehm ist die Nähe zum Flughafen und zum Strand,jedoch keine Lärmbelästigung. Restaurant einfach aber gut.

Lage ist wirklich super. Im Nachhinein würde ich das nächste mal lieber in der Stadt buchen und dann mit dem Bus an den Strand fahren. Tagesticket gibt es für 3€ pro Person. Abends ist am Strand Tote Hose. In der Stadt hat man schon mehr Möglichkeiten. Das Bad im Hotel ist unter aller xxx, wurde seit dem es erbaut worden ist nie renoviert. Silikonfugen verschimmelt und sonst gar kein guter Eindruck. Ebenfalls riechen die Zimmer sehr nach abgestandenen Möbel. Im Hotelflur riecht es nach ganz anderen Sachen da die Entlüftung der Bäder direkt in den Flur zeigen...... Also lieber Hotel in der Stadt und dann mit dem Bus,... Dann hat man noch was vom Nachtleben in Faro

Top Lage. Super nettes und überaus hilfsbereites Personal. Alle sprechen hervorragend Englisch. Vollkommend ausreichendes Frühstück. Sauberes Zimmer & Bad. Pinkes Klopapier :) Leckeres Restaurant. Preise an der Hotelbar vollkommend ok. Mit dem Bus Linie 16 für 2,22€ in die City über Airport Faro. Auf beiden Seiten das Meer, absolute Traum. Flughafen - Hotel 5min. , Taxi ca. 8€.

Insgesamt Preis/Leistung sehr gut. Die Lage zum Strand (100 m) und Flughafen (5 Autominuten) ist sehr gut, wenn auch die Musik der Strandbars (bis 20:00) etwas nervt. Der Service war sehr gut, early checkout Frühstück wurde ohne Probleme organisiert, die Zimmer bräuchten aber eine Renovierung, die Balkone waren nicht gesäubert.

Friendly staff at this hotel, rooms were old and out dated, however they were clean. There are a few good places to eat at the beach side and Faro city is close by. A taxi ride is about ,- each way. I visited outside the high season, so there was not much life about. A lot of surfers though, which was nice to see. The breakfast was OK, nothing special.

small twin beds. no hairdryer. very dated look, old style furniture. tiny tv on brackets far away from the bed. the restaurant is very good with traditional portuguese food.
