Richtig guter Burger. Auch die die "Seafood" - Gerichte sind zwar überwiegend frittiert, aber ganz gut. Sensationeller Rosé für sehr kleines Geld. Damit hatte die Bar mich.

Visited today after being recommended to try the burgers at this beach bar. The recommendation was spot on, I had the Beach Burger and it was UNREAL. Juicy beef patty, melted cheese, garlic-y, spicy and just wow. I shall be returning for more.
The bar itself is real chilled, it plays great music and has a really good look and ambience. The staff are really friendly and helpful.
I'm yet to try the other food but the offerings on other people's tables looked equally as tasty.

Mein Favorit unter den Beach Bars, da es sehr gemütlich arrangiet ist und der Ausblick einfach hervorragend an diesem Standabschnitt ist. Alles was serviert wird, ist mit Liebe gemacht und erfreut den Gaumen.

Traumhafte Location mit tollem Ausblick aufs Meer, unglaublich gemütlich. Es gibt leckere Snacks und Drinks für Zwischendurch. Das Lachsbrötchen mit Ei solltet ihr probieren!

What restaurant doesn't accept credit cards or PIN these days.... Well this one. The food is good so is the view, but service was slow and didn't feel like they were making effort. Even bringing the check took very long. But I think they actually didn't even notice.

Hey, remember this place is popular and busy for a reason (location, food, ambience, views, service, etc)... so if you have to wait a little while longer than you normally come to expect (like when you're in your dreary grey town back home, sitting in your car with the windscreen wipers going and some crappy local radio station playing the odd song in between adverts for carpets and teeth whitening, whilst waiting at the Macdonald's drive through for your un-nutritious dinner)... then don't worry, just relax, sit back, enjoy the views, wonder at the blue sky, admire the succulents, talk to your loved one or sit calmly and silently contemplating, whilst you wish the clock would slow down by half and you might, just might, find yourself in your happy place..... on Ferragudo beach at Kalu Bar.

Food was okay, service was slow and lacking. We had to continuously get the waitresses attention and when we tried to pay we never got the bill and had to physically go up to get our bill, this was after asking our waitress for the bill and making eye contact with her more than three times!
Between the four of use we ordered the tropical salad, the Kalu burger, the Hawaii burger, the fish burger, the bami and the dutch sausage special. I had the tropical salad and it was pretty much half fruit salad and half arugula. I was satisfied with it! The other food items were okay.

Came off the beach for a late lunch but was disappointed to find that this highly rated beach bar did not live up to the reviews.
We were a party of 4 and had to wait a long time to order drinks and food. The food quality was okay but would have expected a bit more for the price point.
When we attempted to pay we had to wait for almost 20 minutes before we could get anyone’s attention. This was in the sweltering 40 degree weather so we just sat in the sun with no water or service.
Disappointed and would not recommend.

Meer schijn dan zijn. Tenminste als je de recenties op internet moet geloven. Uitzicht goed. Sommige bediening echt vriendelijk maar dan ben je ook klaar! We hebben best wel veel van de kaart en aan verschillende wijnen gehad.... Jammer, helaas niet goed!!!

Very good beach bar, quality food and drinks. Looks nice and cozy. Actually the only remarkably bad thing here is that you can't pay with card, i find that a bit primative..

Sunned myself silly on rhe beach, then popped in here to get out of the sun and have a cold one
Ended up having the burger which was delicious.
Next to the beach, ocean view and shade with a cool breeze and a cold beer. Almost heaven.

O ambiente é original, simpático, bem decorado, contudo a cozinha fecha às 17h, ou seja, se quiser lanchar, tostas e comidas rápidas não fazem...pedimos tostas eram 17h18m já não as fizeram, sugeriram snacks lol nao considero os preços nada apelativos! Por alguma razão é que todos os clientes que lá estavam não eram portugueses!! E a maioria dos comentários que por aqui vejo, também não são do comum cidadão português!! Não volto de certeza!!

Take an early walk down to the beach and end up with breakfast at Kalu. Quite a recomendable experience. They don't take cards thou, only cash.

Un petit coin de paradis devant la mer nous y sommes allés en amoureux avons pris une salade et un burger maison ainsi qu un pichet de sangeilla rosée de 1,3 l pour seulement 36 euros je recommande vivement nous avons passés un très bon moment avec un service irréprochable

Best place at Praia grande. Burgers are a bargain and service is great. I highly recommend Kalu Beach bar. If you like padel yoga, they have a class every Saturday morning at 9. Book if you would like to join

Kalu beach bar is a fabulous little place to enjoy a drink and some great food. Run by Dutch people who know what a beach bar should be, it's friendly, relaxed and serves some excellent food. Drinks are well priced and you could spend the whole day just at the bar and totally forget the beach, it's that nice. If you're in the area, try it.

Superbe expérience dans ce lieu !!! Nous y avons déjeuné trois fois lors d'un séjour sur cette plage. Les salades, burgers sont vraiment très bons !!! Je recommande ce lieu !!! Les prix ne sont pas excessifs. Le service est agréable !! INCONTOURNABLE

You'd never expect to taste food like this in a beach restaurant. The burger is one of the nicest I've ever had, and I've had one or two burgers. Six of us ate here and we all left raving about the food. Free WiFi too, which is handy on the beach.

Lovely beach bar, very relaxed. The food is simple but really good and the staff are very friendly. Lots of shade so this is a good place to come in the midday sun.
