Es ist ein kleines gehobenes Landhotel in den Weinbergen und hat dadurch einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Douro. Die Anfahrt ist etwas abenteuerlich da nur eine kleine Straße nach oben führt. Es gibt keine Ausweichstellen für ein entgegenkommendes Fahrzeug. Deshalb gibt es ein Ampelsystem das sicherstellen soll das sich nur ein Auto auf dem Weg befindet. Neben den 10 Zimmern im Hauptgebäude gibt es noch ein sehr nah gelegenes Nebengebäude (eine Art Ferienwohnung) mit einer Unterkunft mit großzügigen Wohn und Esszimmer sowie zwei Schlafzimmern und ein Badezimmer. Die Küche hat Kühlschrank, Spühlmaschine und Waschmaschine und genügend Schränke. Leider sind die Schränke komplett leer - es fehlt sämtliche weitere Ausstattung wie Bestäck, Teller, Messer, Schneidbrett, Flaschenöffner. Man kann eine Flasche Weißwein zwar kühlen aber öffnen kann man die Flache nicht und man könnte auch nur aus der Flasche trinken. Es ist schlicht nichts vorhanden außer zwei Tassen für löslichen Kaffee den man sich mit einer Wasserkocher zubereiten kann. Auf Wunsch werden einem jedoch Sachen gebracht. Aber dennoch bin ich der Meinung dass eine kleine Grundausstattung vorhanden sein soll wenn die Küche ansonsten forhanden ist. Die Ausstattung des Hotels ansonsten ist vom feinsten. Das Frühstückbüffet ist ein Gedicht und läßt keine Wünsche offen. Beim Essen hat man den Panoramablick auf den Douro. Die Mittarbeiter sind sehr bemüht und freundlich. Neben den Frühstück das bei unserer Übernachtung enthalten war könnte auf Wunsch ein Abendmenü für 32,50€ (ohne Getränke) dazugebucht werden. Wenn man das will muss man das bis gegen 17:00 Uhr bestellen. Das Menü wechselt täglich. Mein Fazit sehr zu empfehlen.

Very chilled staying here. Nice pool with amazing view over Duoro river. Room was cozy and clean. Staff was very helpful to solve your problem and they can also arrange taxi from Pinhao to bring you to the city of Pinhao. Recommended!

Very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious and clean, but the best thing about this place is the restaurant.

The view of the hotel is wonderful. The rooms size is large. Cozy and nice place to stay here. The room fee is reasonable. You can look at the Douro river and valley. The dinner was good.

Une nuit de rêve, porto dans la chambre à l'arrivée, à flanc de montagne, dans un vignoble surplombant le Douro. Souper sur la terrasse, nourriture exquise, petit déjeuner dans la salle à manger avec vue sur le fleuve. Personnel exceptionnel, propriétaire Danois affable et sans prétention, apprécié par ses employés, et tellement discret que l'on croirait, en le croisant, que ce n'est qu'un employé comme les autres, efficace, poli, professionnel et passionné. ET ceci ne couvre qu'UNE journée de nos deux semaines de bonheur au Portugal. Muito obrigado au personel....et à la vie!

Only 1 staff was in the restaurant, took for ever to get 1 coffee, and it was cold :/ the view is amazing though

Beautiful, well kept property with a wine shop too purchase their own wines. If you do in for lunch they have a small menu with really well presented and delicious bar food, and you can order pretty much any of their wines by the glass. The wines were great quality. Be careful though, it's a really step drive to reach the property, windy and no passing places, so watch out for the light to say it's clear to go!

Nice luxury hotel in the Duero. It is in a remote location so you don’t want to stay here for just one night. It’s really hard to drive at night here so it’s a place where you want to eat dinner at the hotel. We had dinner both nights here and they were very good. Not great but very good and the wine of course is good. If I was staying only one night in this area I would stay at the Vintage House in Pinhão. Wine tasting at Quinta do Bomfim and de Rosa was really fun.

...this is a pure gem of a facility, an incredible setting, super chilled with an amazing view of the valley, I could not recommend the place highly enough, not to mention an amazing selection of wines and ports and a price for every pocket...

Hotel fantástico para quem adora sossego. Foi construído de acordo com a "arquitectura da vinha" duriense. Isto é, em socalcos, o que lhe confere um especial toque de integração na paisagem. Vistas deslumbrantes e piscina fantástica.

Toller Pool. Dann kommt ein Boy und fragt ob man etwas trinken möchte. Also 2 Bier bestellt. Diese 2 Dosen tauchen dann am nächsten Tag mit je 4 Euro auf der Rechnung auf. Das nenne ich Nepp. 1 Dose Bier 4 Euro. Die Zimmer sind ganz ok aber nichts besonderes.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Hotel, ruhige Lage über dem Douro. Das Abendessen war erstklassig, das Personal und die Besitzer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

If I could give seven stars, I would! We were on our way to the hotel after spending the day in Pinhao, and happened to chance upon this place. What great luck! There 10 of us, and we were catered to without any problems with no advance notice. The food was excellent, the wine selection was unbelievable. And as we sat outside, the view was just heavenly. A truly memorable evening for all of us.

Localização privilegiada. Café da manhã excelente. Faltou apenas a cama de casal, mas merece nota máximo.

Ferien Appartement ist super, Frühstück enthält alles was man braucht. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist das Abendessen, welches optinal dazugebucht werden kann. Es ist zwar gut aber verhältnismäßig einfach zu teuer.

I haven't been at the hotel directly but visited the site and tasted a few wines; which were some of the finest i tasted in Portugal so far.

Cadre extraordinaire sur la vallée du Douro. La montée dans la propriété vous emmène au bout du monde ,top. Chambre agréable, belle piscine, personnel attentionné. La 5 ème étoile est loupée car le repas pourrait être un ton au dessus vu le prix (30€) pas de choix (sauf si vous n'aimez un plat du menu) , peut être pas vraiment de saison purée de châtaignes en août (vive les légumes) mais l'entrée n'était pas copieuse ou gourmande et bof. 2 tempuras (une de haricot et l'autre d'une tranche de lomo local accompagné de 2 tomates cerises écartelées et sur lequel le chef à fait fondre du râpé de fromage ). En clair , c'est dommage mais pas rédhibitoire. La quinta est magnifique.

Localizada na encosta do Douro próximo do pinhão tem uma vista fantástica. Esta quinta é de um sr. Dinamarquês que comprou a qt e desenvolveu este projecto pessoal. A casa hotel está decorada com muito bom gosto, abunda o carvalho e mobilia de madeiras nobres e os quartos são muito confortáveis. O melhor é acordar pela manhã e ver a paisagem lindíssima. Tomar o pequeno almoço no terraço panorâmico e dar um passeio a pé pela propriedade. Tem piscina e outras facilidades. Incluída a famosa prova de vinhos tem uma loja com marcas próprias. O staff é muito atencioso e simpático. Recomendo a casais ou grupos de amigos.

newly refurbed/built in 2009 with only 10 rooms but everything done to a very high standard. the quinta makes its own wine which is of excellent quality and can be sampled prior to purchase. a slightly daunting drive up a narrow winding private road up to the quinta is rewarded by excellent views over the river valley. sitting by the infinity pool you can look over the edge of the pool to the river below. secure garage parking is provided free of charge. we booked on spec off the internet but would be very pleased and would willingly return. highly recommended.
