The Casa de Sao Domingo was amazing. It has old world charm. Loved it! Breakfast was delicious and it was really clean. Lovely landscaped gardens and the pool area was nice too. It's better if you go there by car though as it's uphill.

Great place to stay while exploring the surrounding area! Started each day with a delicious breakfast and ended by relaxing at the pool after a day of wine tasting & sightseeing. Also, beautiful tile in the bathrooms (I stayed in the pool house rooms).

Nice family estate turned hotel, with lovely gardens, a small swimming pool, and a relaxation lounge. We were relegated to the top floor with a rather small room. For the one night we stayed it was ok, but a longer stay would have made this uncomfortable. The house is beautifully decorated, nice breakfast served on a round table for all guests. A good place to stop in Peso de Regua.

É literalmente uma mansão que foi adaptada para ser um hotel, a equipe faz você se sentir em casa. O café da manhã, que além de farto é servido um delicioso suco de laranja colhido do próprio pomar. Da varanda é possível ter uma bela vista do Rio Douro e tudo fica bem próximo. Os quartos são espaçosos e os banheiro limpos e completos. Com certeza voltaremos a ficar na Casa de São Domingos numa próxima visita a Peso da Regua e região. O acesso é feito por um portão que esta fechado, no seu checkin se estiver subindo a Av Diocese, faça um retorno mais para frente e estacione o carro no acostamento, para usar o interfone e poder entrar na casa, assim evita acidentes na pista. Casa dos sonhos. Tudo perfeito. Pretendemos voltar a Portugal para ficar mais dias hospedados nessa Guest House que nos atendeu super bem, do quarto repleto de mimos ao café da manhã surpreendente, do suco de laranja do próprio terreno ao azeite da produção do donos. Super recomendo!

Excelente! O atendimento, a simpatia o acolhimento- simplesmente fantastico. Os quartos muito bem decorados os quartos de banho ao estilo antigo mas modernos. Hotel charmossisimo, belíssimas acomodações com piscina, terraços nos quartos, vista maravilhosa além de um capricho extraordinário nos quartos, nas salas de estar com lareira, na sala do café da manhã, enfim uma decoração caprichada tornando o ambiente muito acolhedor. Café da manhã farto com grande variedade de queijos típicos do país, pães saborosos, frutas etc... nota 10!! Ambientes muito limpos e sempre com atendimento exemplar de todos os envolvidos na execução de tarefas. Estacionamento interno, com pomares e área externa maravilhosa. Vale a pena se hospedar, pois cada item foi muito bem pensado, tal como uma manta no terraço para se proteger do frio enquanto admira a paisagem. Lindo e acolhedor... Experiência inesquecível nas montanhas...

This is an outstanding place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful, exterior handsome. Definitely a great find for these Americans on vacation in Portugal.

The property is beautiful with large lush gardens. So tranquil. The rooms are decorated with antiques and the reception and breakfast room were also gorgeous. The breakfast was phenomenal with home made egg dishes of your choice, all sorts of cheeses, buns and croissants etc. Fun to meet other travellers from all over the world at the table. The family recommends restaurants and tours, making reservations for many things. Loved this hotel!!

This hotel is a gem — comfy rooms with outdoor areas, super friendly and helpful staff, two honour bars to help you enjoy the local libations — all in a quiet location just ten minutes walk from the main town (where, trust me, you don’t want to stay). We had 2 nights here and would have gladly signed up for a 3rd.

We booked for just one night, but wished we had an extra day. The staff were all friendly (most spoke some English), the room very large with a fantastic shower, and lots of choices for breakfast. They made great recommendations for dinner snd things to do in the local areas.

‎נוסעים הרבה בעולם אבל חוויה מזעזעת כזאת לא עברנו!!! ‎הבית נמצא באזור הכי לא אטרקטיבי שיש בעמק הדורו. נמצא בשכונה מוזנחת ממש, הנוף שיש מהמקום הוא של חוטי חשמל ובניינים מוזנחים ומגעילים. אומנם הוא נמצא קרוב לגשר ולנהר אבל האזור רע. שכונה משעממת ואין שום דבר לעשות באזור, מה גם שהירידה לעיירה עצמה קשה ומסורבלת עם עלייה תלולה במיוחד. ‎לא יודעת על מה כל הביקורות החיוביות על המקום, קיבלנו יחס מזעזע מבחור בשם מנואל. ‎החדר שנתנו לנו הוא כנראה חדר שלא משתמשים בו בד״כ, אפילו לא היה מספר על הדלת של החדר כמו שהיה בשאר החדרים. החדר היה מסריח, ריח ממש חזק של צואה. בכל החדר. הריח הגיע מחדר האמבטיה והיה מורגש בכל החדר גם כאשר הדלת הייתה סגורה. ‎אין אפשרות להכין קפה בחדר, רק תה. כשביקשנו קפה אמרו לנו שאין אפשרות להכין קפה בחדרים אלא רק למטה במטבחון וגם שם צריך לשלם עליו. תמוה למקום שמחשיב את עצמו מקום ביתי, חם ושירותי. ‎כשהגענו לחדר החלון באמבטיה היה טיפה פתוח, חשבנו שזה בסדר מכיוון שהם בעצמם פתחו אותו, והשארנו אותו ככה בזמן שהלכנו לאכול ארוחת ערב. כשחזרנו כל חדר האמבטיה וחדר השינה היו מפוצצים בחרקים מעופפים- מאות ברחשים וחרקים בכל התקרה. ‎מה גם כשרצינו לנסוע עם הרכב שלנו לארוחת ערב לא יכולנו מכיוון שהייתה הפסקת חשמל במקום למשך זמן ארוך והשער החשמלי של הבית מן הסתם לא עבד. נאלצנו לעשות הליכה מאוד קשה עד למסעדה. ‎היינו אמורים לשהות במקום 2 לילות אבל אחרי שלא ישנתי כל הלילה בגלל ריח של צואה ומאות חרקים שנאלצנו להרוג, הלכתי לקבלה וביקשתי לפחות לעבור חדר. לא היה חדר פנוי והעדפתי לעזוב את המקום מאשר לישון לילה נוסף בחדר המזעזע הזה. מנואל הבחור ששירת אותנו היה חצוף ומגעיל, עלה לחדר ואמר שהוא לא מריח שום ריח ושבחיים לא היה שום חרק בחדר. בגדול קרא לנו שקרנים והחזיר לנו מיד את הכסף על הלילה הנוסף בחזרה, מבלי שביקשנו בכלל שום החזר כספי. פשוט דיבר אלינו בגסות וסוג של סילק אותנו מהמקום. דקות אח״כ גם העז לשלוח לנו מייל כועס שגם שם ציין כמה אנחנו שקרנים, ואמר שהעלה אורחים לחדר להריח אותו והם לא הריחו כלום. בחור הזוי וחצוף. ‎לא הייתי ממליצה על המקום הזה גם לא לאויבים שלי. יש מקומות מקסימים עם נופים יפהפיים ובמחירים דומים. פשוט אל תתקרבו!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful accommodations, especially if you get one of the bungalows just above the pool. The staff were truly fantastic and the breakfast was the best breakfast of our entire 10 day trip. Huge buffet of tasty options plus made-to-order omelettes. Would absolutely suggest this place to anyone and only hope to return ourselves one day!

Loved our stay at the casa and wished we stayed more than 2 nights. The breakfast is among the best with orange-yolked eggs, fresh jams, and homemade cakes! They'll make dinner reservations for you and reserve taxi as needed as well. We didn't rent a car. It was just a 10 minute walk to train station.

The quality of the accomodation and the hospitality and customer service at Casa de Sao Domingos was exceptional. Top that off with the incredible scenery in the Douro Valley and you have the makings of a perfect vacation experience. Our stay at Casa de Sao Domingos was part of a month long driving vacation in Portugal. The two days we spent exploring the beautiful Douro Valley was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Ванные комнаты просторные и красивые с видом на реку. Отдельного внимания заслуживает первый этаж, где расположены гостиная и столовая. Играет легкая фоновая музыка. Вам понравится здесь.

The location of the casa in the middle of ugly buildings in front of the main high way. It is uphill and hard to climb on your own if you have a family with you. There are no places around the place to enjoy unless you had a car to drive around. The place is full of history but even didn't bother to explain or talk about the history of the place when he was asked. We were rushed to the room without showing us around the place nor telling us when and where is the breakfast. We had to ask for everything. The breakfast was just awful.... a plate of pieces of sliced fruit for 9 guests and only one small plate of ham for all of us to share in a long table. The pool was nice but too cold to swim in.. such a pity. It felt awkward and everyone felt in less than 5 mins from the breakfast. We didn't feel welcomed and we ere happy to leave after 2 days. The only positive things are the view from the balcony and the lady from the house although she didn't speak much English she was trying and aslo Monica. I cant say much about the others.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte im April 2016 in diesem Quartier. Ausstattung usw. alles bestens, lediglichSignalstärke des WLAN könnte etwas stärker sein. Man fühlt sich im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes herzlich willkommen.
