Positiv: Vackert beläget hotell, men extremt långt från allting.. Negativ: Svårt att få information om vandringsleder och vingårdar. Ingen pratade en någorlunda bra engelska. Hotellet låg inte alls där det stod att det skulle ligga. Vi valde ett hotell i Pinhao eller i närheten av Pinhao. Hotellet låg 25 km ifrån Pinhao. Det tog 40 min att åka. Det är tredje gången vi fått ett hotell som inte ligger på angiven plats när vi bokat med Booking.com. Det är tveksamt om vi anlitar Booking.com fler gånger..

The most wonderful little hotel situated in the tiny village of Tua. The setting was so beautiful that had we been able to, we would have extended our stay for a second night. Immaculate and modern with an excellent breakfast, the best we’ve had on our travels through Portugal. The highlight of my breakfast was the homemade pumpkin almond jam, which our lovely hostess, Maria typed out the recipe for me in English, despite her very limited vocabulary. With our bedroom overlooking the Douro River and the total tranquility of this tiny village, one can choose to swim in the pool, sit in the sun on the patio, do some walking, or use it as a base to visit surrounding wine farms and bigger villages, or go for scenic drives or sail along the Douro River. If I could give 6 stars I would as there was not a thing I would change. Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s too cheap to be good.

Great place to stay a couple of nights with a amazing view to the river and vineyards. The place is very quiet, good to relax in the pool. The breakfast, i give 4 out of 5. There is a restaurant a couple of meters.

We were welcomed warmly on arrival, the place was clean and the hosts were so nice. The actual hotel sits on such beautiful land, views were not ones we’d taken before. We didn’t get time to enjoy the pool but it looked lovely. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and had an array for anyone. We will definitely come back to the Douro valley, I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely basic rural hotel. We booked the 2 bed separate self contained annexe. Large kitchen and room. Beds very were comfortable. Balcony overlooking the river and vine yards opposite was perfect. Had to rely on Sat Nav to find it though as way off the beaten track but worth it.

Hôtel calme au bord du Douro,avec une super piscine et un petit-déjeûner fait maison excellent (pain frais, œufs brouillés, fruits, céréales, confitures, charcuterie...). A côté de la petite gare de Tua et d'un petit musée très intéressant sur l'histoire de cette vallée.

Positief: Hele fijne lokatie voor rustzoekers, natiurliefhebbers en ook wijnaddicts Hotel zeer comfortabel met heel fijn zwembad uitzicht op de Douro. Goed obtbijt. Geen resto maar 1 ernaast wat er niet uitzag en tapas/cq eetcafé achter t stationnetje waar locals komen met redelijk goed eten voor zeer goede prijs. Negatief: Personeel sprak alleen Portugees. Beetje engels en soaans zou fijn zijn.

Amazing place to spend some time by the river. Easier to get to by train or boat than by car. Apartments are well equipped, ours was brand new. Can’t beat the €3 breakfast, this place has a swimming pool as well as a pool table!

Positiv: Das Hotel hat wirklich sehr viel Charme und ist mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet worden. Es hat sicherlich mehr als 2 Sterne verdient. Das Frühstück wurde mit hausgemachter Marmelade, frisch zubereiter Eierspeise und selbstgepressten Orangensaft sehr liebevoll serviert. Schade, das wir nur eine Nacht gebucht hatten. Ein längerer Besuch ist sicherlich lohnenswert. Auch das Restaurant nebenan ist der Hammer..

Après une route un peu désastreuse...une surprise totale... un calme, un charme d'hôtel, près du fleuve Douro, paysages adorables..reposant, une piscine où nos enfants se sont très bien amusés.. de très bons petits déjeuners..
seul bémol, manque quelque garde corps au près de la piscine, à faire attention avec les enfants de bas âges...si non le service est parfait et le personnel adorable.

"Irgendwo im Nirgendwo" - hier ist es ruhig. Um "Abschalten und Zusichfinden" ideal. Zum Wandern und Energietanken - ist es die Empfehlung. Die Zimmer unterschiedlich, mit Doppelbett oder einzelne "Doppelbetten". Preis-Leistung prima. Die Zimmer mit Flussblick sehr zu empfehlen. Frühstück ist reichhaltig, es gibt sogar frischgemachtes Rührei.

Petit hôtel nouvellement rénové, dans un endroit perdu mais parfait pour la tranquillité. Style Pousada. Endroit magique. Acolhedor. O exterior não tem nada "a ver" com o interior. Aproveite para uma viagem de comboio pela linha do Tua. No restaurante ao lado come-se muito bem...mas não peça uma dose para um porque...vai sobrar!!!

Hotel Casa do Tua was perfect for a couple of quiet nights in the Douro Valley. It is a very small town but in a beautiful spot. We loved spending time by the cool and clean pool, which has an amazing view over the river and is very quiet and peaceful. The hotel rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked quickly and was very effective on hot days. The breakfast is outstanding, bring your appetite so you can finish all of the fresh bread and home made jam! Meals at the nearby restaurants are also excellent.

Very clean and close to the train station close to the end of the train line up the Douro River. Right on the river and they accommodated us with a 0700 breakfast so we could catch our 0800 return train. The pool wasn't cleaned for the season yet

Finalmente fui conhecer com a família a parte do Douro que não conhecia ,o troço a montante do Pinhão (Foz do Tua ao Pocinho) ...... Escolhi este Hotel e não me arrependi, pois além do local ser mágico e muito calmo, o serviço aqui prestado foi de muita boa qualidade, desde a limpeza das instalações à qualidade do pequeno almoço, e claro a simpatia e amabilidade dos anfitriões, nomeadamente o sr. Carlos e esposa e o filho José . Em suma passei três dias muito agradáveis nestas paragens e neste Hotel, com a família, como tal Recomendo-o aqui publicamente. Luís Vaz (Braga)
