Adorei a estadia no Dom Dinis, a unica reclamação e referente a cama que muito ruim o colchão e muito duro . Mas fora isso foi uma estadia maravilhosa.

Un lugar con mucho encanto. Las recepcionista es muy amable y agradable. La habitación es cómoda y acogedora. El desayuno merece muchísimo la pena, gran variedad y puedes desayunar sano y rico. La villa tiene mucho encanto. Lo único que en temporada alta debe haber menos aparcamiento cerca del alojamiento, porque también se aparca ahí para ir al castillo.

Hotel pequeno e muito aconchegante. Localiza-se dentro dos muros da Villa de Marvão, com vista para o castelo e para a muralha. Prédio com mais de 200 anos, onde existia uma prisão. Estacionamento próximo. Bom café da manhã.

Sem dúvida a melhor pousada dentro do castelo quarto lindo com jacuzzi e vista para o castelo. WiFi grátis que funciona café da rua da frente que pertence ao Hotel super bom e acessível. Com um papagaio de estimação

Um local magnífico com uma vista deslumbrante e pouco mais. Os quartos são modestos, embora tudo estivesse limpo e arrumado, o pequeno almoço também é modesto e pouco sortido, nada de especial e que me faça lá voltar.

El hotel muy bien situado. Calidad precio muy bien. El jacuzzi se paga a parte. El personal muy atento, nos llamaron incluso para comentar que se podia aparcar delante del hotel.

Ce petit hôtel du village de Marvão est aussi charmant quaccueillant, un vrai havre de paix. Une belle étape, qui donne lopportunité de déambuler dans les ruelles lorsque la plupart des visiteurs sont partis, et de profiter de la vue sur toute la campagne environnante. Le jacuzzi installé sur la terrasse est aussi une bonne initiative!

Geweldig hotel,zeer vriendelijke Staff, ,schoon ,prima ontbijtbuffet en mooie kamer. Marvao is een prachtige plaats met veel geschiedenis en een prachtig kasteel.Leuke smalle straatjes,moeilijk om er in te rijden,vooral met een grotere auto.Restaurant Veranda do Alentejo is goed aan te bevelen, grote menukaart met veel keus. Heel gezellig,schoon en prima eten.Wij zijn er drie keer geweest, het was fantastisch.

A melhor localização da vila, boa cama. Internet não funcionou mesmo avisando a funcionária. Apesar de ter bidê, o chuveiro é ruim, só tem a ducha e fica muito baixa. O quarto é apertado. Café da manhã não utilizamos. Funcionários atenciosos.

This place earned its superb rating. Our stay here was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Just getting to this hotel is an adventure. Driving through Marvão is incredible! We arrived late during a rainstorm and the whole city was covered by fog - when we woke up the next day and actually saw the castle and town we were stunned. We had the castle to ourselves! Check-in, breakfast, and service for this hotel were all spectacular. As was the history of the place and the room. If you are traveling to Marvão, do yourself a favor and stay here. It’s worth the money. Staying anywhere else will just disappoint you when you see this place.

Well, even writing about this place and reminiscing it provokes only positive and marvellous moods :).
A very relaxing place, indeed, with beautiful atmosphere, personnel, rooms, service and views :).
Everything was clean, towels were white and thick, water was hot and your dreams - like in fairy-tales despite the weather conditions :).
No problems with Wi-Fi and it's easy to park your car close to the hotel.
Travelling around Portugal you are to be accustomed not to have any variability or variety in course of your breakfasts like in Spain, for example - even the smallest breakfast in Greece would be bigger than in Portugal but, at least, here, in Dom Dinis you'll have good authentic bread, adequate meat of two sorts and not bad cheese with coffee in volumes you wish :))...
· Only one thing to improve - the duration of our staying:) at this magic place....
Strongly recommended planning your tour around the country to devote some 2-3 nights of complete relax to this hotel particularly to catch the energy for your further voyage and life :)).

Lovely staff! Although we forgot to mention that I'm vegan, they we still able to get me some soy milk for breakfast. Lovely room, but a little small if you bring to many bags.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, the staff was kind enough to get Soya milk even though we know it's something not so usual in the region. Very very friendly staff.
The shower area is a bit annoying but you quickly get used to it.
Very comfy mattress (the most important thing for me).

Besides being a beautiful place to stay with really no fault to be found in an amazing village in an amazing location, Theresa and other staff are so warm and welcoming. Everything has a feeling of hospitality and your every comfort having been thought of. Thank you also Theresa for the use of your phone to make an important call to Australia. Really appreciated and really kind.

The location is hard to match - simply superb. Outstanding staff (thank you Luis) and a character- filled hotel made for a memorable two night stay. If you like exploring and are reasonably fit 2-4 days here could be very rewarding.

Right at the top of Marvao, with parking. Lovely walled town, hotel and staff were excellent. Nicest place we’ve been to in Portugal so far. Very quiet and superb views. Nice bar / cafe to chill in and the resident bird kept the family amused! Town and castle can be done in a few hours, then just enjoy the sights and quiet.

Marvao was one of our favorite destinations on our recent Portugal trip. Dom Dinis hotel and restaurant were great! Not only did we have a peaceful night's sleep, but a yummy breakfast on the terrace with a view! The staff was sweet and accomodating. The African parrot, Dinis added to our enjoyment. Nice romantic getaway!

Lovely room with view over the valley. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, terrace was enchanting and as everywhere in Portugal, the staff are wonderful. Parking was convenient and free.

Great location with good breakfast provided. The bar beside belongs to them as well and is pretty cosy with nice food. It is advisable not to follow the google map solely but to stay on the main road.

If I were to go back to Marvão, I would stay again at this hotel. Good location - amazing views from the terrace and right by the museum and castle. If you are driving, take the road along the wall and don't try to drive through the city. Breakfast - included with our stay but was a typical continental breakfast with local Portuguese products. Service - very good with useful advice on where to eat and what to see. Don't miss the sunset Also when we were there it was €10 per person to use the hot tub.

Gostei muito (e as minhas "mais que tudo também"!), desde o atendimento, todos os funcionários foram bastante atenciosos, e simpaticos, o quarto era bem agradável (limpo e com espaço mais que suficiente), as sugestões que nos fizeram (de restaurantes, e locais a visitar foram ótimas). Um belo local para uma escapadinha numa região cheia de bons vinhos, comida, história, natureza, e paisagens de cortar a respiração. Voltamos em breve!

My wife and I stayed at Dom Dinis for four nights with a group of 8 travellers, walking the Portuguese countryside...what an absolute treat it was!
Our room was on the ground floor across from the front desk...it was well appointed, comfortable and we had plenty or room to store all of our belongings. We had lots of closet space, extra blankets and enough room in the bathroom to easily arrange what we needed...and the shower was wonderful!
The breakfasts were very nice...lots of selection, an easy to manage coffee machine and staff who would accommodate special orders without missing a beat...we requested scramble eggs one morning and they were served piping hot with a smile.
Directly across from the hotel is a family owned bar/cafe where guests could get their choice of drinks, including the most amazing cappuccino, sweets, sandwiches, etc....the staff were so accommodating they would bring the orders directly to the hotel rooms....we felt so spoiled and so well cared for and enjoyed every moment of our stay.
It is important to note that we were doing some very hard hiking will we stayed in Marvao, and having a comfortable, welcoming place to return to was vital. We really loved Dom Dinis in every way and felt relaxed and at home there. Theresa and Jorge have done a remarkable job and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting in the area.

Mal atendido, passei nas redondezas e por curiosidade resolvi entrar, como faço em muitos outros sitios onde fico hospedado, fui prontamente mal abordado pelo senhor da receção, que entre outras coisas, disse-me que apenas os hospedes podiam ver, convidou-me a retirar, com isso perdeu um potencial cliente, pois de facto parecia ser um sitio agradavel, mas devido a falta de educação dos funcionários que ali trabalham, não obrigado...

Choose the room with balcony. The views are amazing (but not directly connected to the fortifications). The bathroom comes with a nice bathtub (but no shower). Overall everything is clean and comfortable and the staff speak good English (at least compared w/ Spain).

No se le puede pedir más a un alojamiento de este tipo. Está en la zona más bonita del pueblo, en lo alto, pegado al castillo. Aparcamiento al lado, habitaciones y cuartos de baño en perfecto estado, buen desayuno y amabilidad a tope (excelente trato con Teresa y Jorge, los dueños y encargados).

Our stay with Dom Dinis in Marvão was very good! The guest house is in a great location with beautiful sunset and sunrise view over the Alentejo side! Our room was very clean and neat. The host Theresa and her husband run a cafe just a few steps away from their guest house. We were spoiled by their great hospitality! Dom Dinis guest house is definitely a place where we will go back again! A double thumbs up to them!
