Ridiculously overpriced, sub standard snack food. Nice location which saves the place. Drop the shack into any area where they would be reliant on food quality and had some competitors and it would fold in a few months.

Beautiful setting. In golf area so expect to pay more for food. Food is lovely though beautifully prepared. Friendly, efficient staff. Well worth a visit by taking the scenic route & walking or biking through the Ria Formosa.

A great spot for a lunch bite with a view over the lagoon. It can be windy at times so bring layers to keep warm. They offer a blanket if you need it.

Nice location but excessively overpriced food and drinks.
No vegan options on the menu.
The vegetarian wrap was cold and only half filled. Poor presentation and disappointing.
Compared to most other restaurants in the region, this on isn't really one to bother with.

Really disappointed. Portions were tiny and over priced - I ordered beef skewers for €17 and it came with 2 skewers and a very limp salad, no dressing - it looked like it had been sitting on the counter for an hour. Our female server was unfriendly and literally dropped the plates in front of us - end of season fatigue I guess. I wouldnt go back in a rush which is a shame as its a superb location on the lake.

We always have a good time on an afternoon here. Great for your cycling pit stop. Friendly staff and the relaxed lakeside setting make for a easy way to spend time drinking with friends in an idyllic setting by the Rio Formosa marshes and opulent villas.

Great vibe about this place, but gets really busy during kids holidays and likely to wait 1 hour for a table. Really good snack food menu. Lots for kids to do around the lake and you can see them while having a drink or food.

Got some drinks here with my family, tables weren’t particularly optimised for couples or families, everything was a 4 and high up. Drinks were strong though, so 8 euros for sprit and a mixer didn’t seem outrageous

The shack is a relaxed venue in a nice location where you can look out over the water, kids can play on the beach which is just next to the seating tables.
It is rather expensive, I found the staff to be fine. I didn't eat here so cannot comment.
Would recommend.

Lazy, is the best word to describe this place. The staff are disinterested, they look like they don’t want to take an order or sell you a drink. The food is also lazy, deep fried stuff probably just slammed in the microwave. Your time, money and valuable family holiday should be spent anywhere other than this: try the magnificent BJ’s, Maria’s or for something very casual KOKO.

El lugar es perfecto tanto para niños como adultos, las vistas son perfectas, la ubicación es buena y también muy privada, con acceso a un club infantil privado, la comida no es económica pero las porciones son generosas y el sabor muy bueno, los baños siempre limpios y acceso a estacionamiento un poco reducido pero basto. Volvería a ir encantada!!! Por cierto... El personal super amable con excelente inglés y un buen castellano

Great location but very disappointing service. Grumpy hostess (aren’t they supposed to smile and welcome you?!). Lunch order was at least an hour to arrive - can only assume the order was lost as others seemed to be served much faster. On the up side, food was good when it finally arrived.

Fun spot for an afternoon draught beer /Sangria / cocktail looking out over the lake but can get very busy, the live music tends to be extremely cheesy and the proximity to the water sports centre means that it has a far from relaxing vibe, overrun by kids.

Went to the Shack on Sat. The food is so over priced and expensive. I ordered a grilled chicken burrito, but it was actually just a chicken wrap. Totally over priced at 15 euro. Service was ok, but they stop serving food at 9pm. Stay well clear of this tourist trap.

Lovely place, avoid Thursdays as it gets rammed. Live music Monday through to Friday and best to get there either early (18:30) or late (21:00). Be aware it shuts at 22:00.

Great food, great setting. The ideal place for lazy lunches and long evenings, which is just as well given that the kitchen can sometimes be a little slow, but this would be a very minor criticism seeing as the pluses far outweigh this minus.

The Shack is a great location to have a few drinks and snacks at Sunset with friends or family. Day time the location also caters to families with kids with paddle boats, sail boats, and floating assault courses to occupy the kids which is supervised by lifeguards. There are sunbeds which you can rent, beach beds with umbrellas. Live music is usually staged at The Shack during the summer months 3 days a week from 4.30~8pm. My favourite snacks are the Sweet Potato Fries, and Spicy Chicken Wings, and an extremely sinful dessert is the Chocolate Brownie Ice Cream, the Brownie comes hot and Ice Cream placed on top (delicious!). Staff are very friendly and helpful. Usually waiting time for a bench and table is around 20~30 mins at peak times. Other options are have a drink at the beach bar whilst you wait.

Lovely dining experience. Food and wine great. Beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff. Can't fault it at all. The receptionist was a lovely lady and couldn't have been more attentive to people.

I first discovered the Shack a year ago when my sculptures were sold to a client in London and wanted them delivered all the way to Quinta Do Lago. I ate lunch at the Shack every day. What a wonderful find. Laid back atmosphere in a stunning location. I've just returned with my wife and children in holiday and will be back in the future. The food is great, staff are friendly and very reasonably priced. Also a great place for celeb spotting! There is a small beach overlooked by the restaurant which is on stilts over the water - close enough to watch our kids chasing the fish in the lake. Live music on Tuesdays and Thursdays is always excellent. You need to get your table early as it is very popular. Absolutely love the place!

Nice place where we' ve had a good brunch. Only the staff let me down cos they don't pay attention to the customers. After taking the order, they leave at the table and never ask if you would like something else.....We tried several times to order more drinks but the 7 among waiters and waitresses ignored completely us.....you should shout to get more drinks, but it's not our style. The same was for the bill.... after 10mins someone finally someone came to our table .....

A lovely spot! Perfect for families especially because your little ones can play on the shore in eyesight. The views are lovely and the food was tasty. I’m giving it four stars because I ordered the salmon dish and the rice was so spicy I literally couldn’t eat it, when I mentioned this to the waitress her reply was “well it does say Mexican rice on the menu”. A dish that spicy should mention how hot it is, especially with the prices you’re paying. Anyway give this place a go, the vibe is really fun.

It used to be really fun here, with half decent (if expensive) food, good drinks and reasonable service. The atmosphere was unrivalled for the area. However, it’s all gone wrong. They’ve clearly put a squeeze on staff numbers and have hiked up prices even more so now it just feels like a miserable place. Every single table around us complained about service or refused to pay the service included on their bill. It’s a shame. We won’t be returning in the near future.

Schön Terasse am See. Das Restaurant ist allerdings komplett überlaufen von Touristen. Hier trifft man wohl keinen Portugiesen zum Essen an. Dementsprechend ist auch das Essen nur „OK“ zu hohen Preisen.

Lovely setting & can only imagine how it is at night. Service was nice & the vibe is excellent. Sadly the food is extremely underwhelming. Ok I’m slightly spoiled with where we can eat but a burger & chips is pretty easy to get right no? Everything apart from the food tho looks excellent.

A favourite for some light bites or lunch in the sun. The staff here are always welcoming and helpful, and their guacamole is always fresh. Try the fish tacos (they are lightly battered) or a burger if you want something a bit moreish (pass on the chips though). And sit beside the water if you want to catch a glimpse of the fish jumping out.

Very slow for food to arrive, over an hour from the point of order. Poor service once the initial order for food and drink was placed, ignored with no updates on order progress or follow up drinks order. We finally asked how long food was going to be and given complimentary crisp breads. Food that eventually arrived was mediocre with over cooked salmon and bland chicken. Would not recommend if busy.

Schöne Lage am Lago, Guter Ausgangspunkt für Dünenwanderung, am Ende einer Sackgasse daher kaum Verkehr. Essen und Trinken ok, aber teuer. Man kann gut in der Sonne oder im Schatten sitzen. Aufmerksame Bedienung. Negativ ist der Flugverkehr der je nach Windrichtung direkt über The Shack startet und noch sehr tief ist.

Incrivel um espaço público, que por diversas vezes fui ao Shak Bar e inclusive com convidados para dar a conhecer, e está reservado para eventos sem nenhum espaço para os cliente habituais. Um excelente espaço onde se é atendido com muita simpatia e profissionalismo, mas inaceitável estas situações de chegar e não poder usufruir. Hoje foi mais um desses dias, o que me faz não voltar.

Das die Preise in Restaurants in Portugal bisschen teuerer sind als in Deutschland , hat man ja nun doch schon gehört. Allerdings lässt euch nicht täuschen von den Bildern, die hier einige gepostet haben.
Mir hat es nicht so gefallen , da wir einen ziemlich dunklen Ort draußen hatten und andauernd die Kellner durchs Licht von der Lampe gelaufen sind. Man könnte nicht in Ruhe erzählen und essen.

A great place to have a snack with the kids and a couple of drinks at the end of the day. Gets very, very busy Weds, Thurs and Sat late afternoons in particular so expect to wait 30 mins for a table.

It was terrible. I have been coming for years. It is rowdy. Noisy no proper control of numbers. The music was meant to add to the atmosphere, but it had ruined it. Seeing 40 year old men standing on tables dancing was a complete joke

This place is terrible! Do not be fooled by the positive reviews. Staff are rude, service is slow.
The manager of the restaurant is not willing to help or answer simple questions such as how much longer will my food take. As I type this our food has not yet arrived, we ordered 50 mins ago. This is a total joke.
Such a shame as the starting and view Ian web good. DO NOT GO HERE.

Excellent location overlooking the quinta do Lago lake. Very reasonable prices for the locations and usually a good atmosphere. Great for kids and adults alike with the lake keeping the kids busy !!

Friendly and easy to access from the car park, you won't find a better place to eat. Seats large groups and on a sandy lake.
