We had the time of our lives at Vallado. Period. Every single experience will blow your mind. Staff is super attentive and will go the extra mile to make your stay superb. Dining at Vallado is a must especially if paired with the their top wine selection. Make sure you don’t miss the spa.

Apart from the amazing staff and views, Quinta do Vallado seems to be one of those places that really balances the traditional experience with the right dose of modernity.
Here you can feel the touch of people that really cares about their heritage.

One of the highlights of our trip to Portugal was staying at Quinta do Vallado. We had a room in the new house and absolutely loved the modern architecture, sleek design, and minimalism feel. The products were high quality and the bed was seriously a dream. We enjoyed the evening sitting on the balcony drinking the complimentary wine from the room.
Everyone who works there is so kind! They helped us arrange a driver for the day to take us to different Quinta's as well as transfer service back to Porto after our stay. They were very responsive and helpful with each question we asked before we arrived.
The breakfast is excellent! Many things are homemade and everything is very fresh.
As a guest of the hotel you are also offered a complimentary tour and tasting with other guests. It's well-worth participating in this if you can.
We are already dreaming of returning here for another stay the next time we go to Portugal!

Amazing 2 night stay. Mid March, hotel was not full we were offered a upgrade to a suite...what a treat. Our meal the fist night was so good we returned the 2nd night. Really enjoyed walking the trails thru the vineyard finished off with a complimentary hour spa visit. Totally a highlight of our 3 month visit to Portugal

Family winery. Nice dry white port wine very good. Red port very nice also. The white wine was crisp. The 2 red wines I wanted to try were not offered as samples.

Excelente tour, degustação e vinhos! O tour que fizemos foi excelente, começando pela subida até o topo da vinícola para apreciar os parrerais e ver aonde começa a separação das cepas. A degustação foi muito agradável e exploramos todos os vinhos disponíveis. Como fica em um morro, não recomendo para pessoas com problemas físicos, pois há muita escadaria durante a visitação. Edificio super moderno! Vale a pena conhecer. Ah, o azeite deles é uma delícia!

A visita guiada é bem completa, mostrando desse o processo de colheita até a fermentação dos vinhos. Final de setembro (época da colheita) é possível fazer a “pisa” das uvas durante a visitação. É com certeza parada obrigatória para os que desejam conhecer as Quintas da região do Douro!

Really informative tour given by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The facility is first class, and very well maintained. The wines are of very high quality and with an interesting twist in terms of production and grape varieties.
There are quite a few steps involved in the tour, so be warned if you find that difficult.

Beautiful place with a very informative tour. Great wine tasting (not cheap but worth it). We ended up buying a few bottles. Very enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

Do not recommend the vineyard tour! It was very regular and nothing special, and, there were a lot of people in the tour what I believe it jeopardize the experience (16 people)!

Lugar realmente fantástico! Por si falar de Douro já é uma excelência, ter o prazer de ficar hospedado num lugar que tem toda uma história em torno do vinho que mais divulga o nome de Portugal pelo mundo inteiro é o culminar da satisfação. Adorei o hotel, o atendimento é muito bom. Lugar obrigatório para quem pretende ter uma experiência no Douro em torno do vinho do Porto.
Este lugar tem tudo para ser um hotel de cinco estrelas. Vale a pena conhecer. Recomendo!

Very supporting staff. High end rooms with breathtaking vistas. Dinner experience well worth the tag; octopus and scallop unforgettable. Breakfasts super high quality-try omelette or soft boiled eggs to see the true difference. Our first time in Duoro Valley and at Quinta - we will be back soon.

Pintada de un llamativo color naranja, se encuentra en la margen del río Corgo justo donde éste se junta con el Douro, a las afueras de la localidad de Peso da Régua. Las viñas más viejas están en la zona más alta de la finca, desde la que la vista panorámica es impresionante y uno de los vinos tintos modernos de más éxito en Portugal.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with exceptional food and service. The hotel is beautifully appointed. Rooms are comfortable and the facilities fantastic. The price of the room includes extras that were appreciated- Port wine on arrival, complimentary wine in your room, wine tour and tasting plus one hour of exclusive use of the spa facilities. In addition the setting of all rooms and swimming pool area are simply stunning. The food served for breakfast and dinner were both generous and of exceptional quality. The evening menu is posted each morning and you are obliged to book and make your selection by 5pm each day.
I thoroughly recommend that you book a picnic hamper and carry it (packed in a back pack) to the top of the estate (following the blue trail) and enjoy the food and views before returning (via the green trail). The views throughout the Vinyard are exceptional and the picnic food is delicious!
The hotel location is perfect for exploring up river Duoro.

FYI if you’re not staying at their hotel you can’t eat in their restaurant, so we went to the family owned Quinta Santa Eufemia instead that fed us what we wanted (even after we asked for specific adjustments) and gave us some gorgeous Wines! Really lovely experience and gorgeous view.
Tasting scheduled attached for Vallado if people are interested!

Had a port wine tour and a dinner at the vineyard/hotel. Beautiful decorations. Food is tasty and 20 year port is smooth. Applaud for the environment.

Tra le tante cantine visitate nella Valle del Douro abbiamo provato anche questa. Io e il mio ragazzo non abbiamo prenotato, ci siamo presentati all'ingresso e abbiamo fatto una visita in inglese che iniziava mezz'ora dopo. Tour molto interessante, con spiegazioni relative alla casa vinicola, ai tipi di vino prodotti, al processo di produzione. La vista sui vigneti è incantevole! Tour che si è concluso con la degustazione di cinque tipi diversi di vino ed uno di Porto per 17€. Durata totale circa un'ora, hanno un negozio dove è possibile acquistare ovviamente bottiglie.
Personale preparato e molto gentile. Assolutamente consigliata la visita!

Service was poor for walk-ins to the wine shop. They are only set up for wine purchases and tasting is only for pre-booked groups. If you want to enjoy a glass of wine with some cheese in beautiful surroundings, you're better off at quinta da pacheca, a 5 min drive away. At pacheca, the service is great and you don't need to sit facing parked cars with your glass of wine.

Not principally a Port wine producer, but rather an industrial-scale table wine producer. Tour was very long, slow paced, touristy, and primarily about table wine production. Wines were good, although again it was primarily a table wine tasting, with only a white Port and a young tawny, not a single ruby-style Port.

Showed up with a bunch of friends. Didn't realize we were supposed to book a tour in advance. The host and hostess were able to sell us wine and allowed us to drink wine and enjoy the view from their outdoor tasting room. Will definitely recommend this winery to friend whom will travel to Portugal.

Worth a visit to this winery for the tour and of course the wines. Our guide was excellent and knowledgeable. The tour ends and the tastings begin. You must reserve ahead of time.

Quantas emoções passei nessa quinta....
A começar pela bela Recepcao em nosso quarto com uma champanhe de boas vindas....
Toda a estrutura do hotel é ao mesmo tempo contemporânea sem perder a essência do Bruto.
A visita a vinícola foi muito bacana, bem explicada e num roteiro que mostra tanto o processo novo quanto o antigo de fabricação vínica.
Ao final uma degustação dos vinhos da quinta.
O jantar foi regado de fortes emoções.... foi um jantar surpresa de aniversário de casamento. Tudo feito com muito carinho e atenção.... com direito até visita do chef.
A Quinta do Vallado.... meus Grandes agradecimentos ao proporcionar esses momentos inesquecíveis que passei com vocês.

Fomos muito bem recebidos, a explicação é interessante e passa detalhes sobre o processo de produção dos vinhos da vinícola. A degustação é boa por comparar vinhos bem distintos e o palestrante sabe informar bastante coisa, não deixando nenhuma pergunta sem resposta. Mais que recomendo!

I LOVED my stay at the Vallado. The staff was lovely and very helpful, the wine tour very interesting, my room was gorgeous, and I enjoyed the modern common spaces. The food was fantastic- a beautiful spread at breakfast, and dinner delicious (with great wines, of course)! Will return asap.

Dos melhores locais onde descansei...... Acolhedor, requintado, sossegado, . Aspecto menos positivo, água da piscina exterior muito fria e não custar o mesmo que uma semana de férias em outro local no país, porque se custa-se ia para lá todos os anos.

Outobrob 2014 .Ficar numa das quintas que que pertenceu à DONA ANTÓNIA ADELAIDE FERREIRA e que ainda hoje está na família . È um sonho. Tudo muito bom. A casa construída em 1843.a vista e espetacular. Ficamos na suite terracota não há mais belo que despertar de manha e abrir as portas e ver uma passagem deslumbrante. A comida muito boa cada prato acompanhado por um vinho diferente. A quinta só tem vinhos de qualidade. Fizemos um tour a adega a nosa guía muito prefecional. Aconselho a que façam uma visita.

Das provas de vinhos mais estruturaras que já tive o prazer de experimentar. Os vinhos são de alta qualidade e o guia é extremamente competente, fazendo com que a visita Ainda se torna-se melhor. Vale a pena fazer a visita a toda a quinta e produção!

Wunderschönes kleines Hotel, imposante Führung durch die Keller mit antiken Portwein Fässern & frisch gepressten Weintrauben (Erntezeit). Wanderwege durch die Weinberge, gutes Menüessen am Abend mit prämierten Weinen. Waren im Casa Tradicional (Familiendomiziel seit 16xx?), wunderschön.

A Quinta do Vallado pertenceu a uma das personagens mais importantes na história do Douro e do Vinho do Porto - D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira e tem-se mantido na família ao longo dos anos.
A Quinta alia a tradição à modernidade e isto é visível quer na qualidade inegável dos vinhos quer na arquitectura presente nos modernos espaços que respiram essas duas vertentes e que respeitam a o peso da história da Quinta.
A visita permite-nos conhecer melhor a Quinta e também um pouco da história do Vinho do Porto e dos vinhos do Douro.
A prova de vinhos é o corolário de tudo o que vimos e ouvimos. Provar vinhos pontuados pelos maiores críticos com valores perto do máximo é um convite a comprar na loja algumas garrafas para degustar mais tarde!
