Gorgeous tradition farmhouse with a fabulous view of the Douro hills. Only a 15 minute drive to the river. Gorgeous location with a cost communal area and lovely self catering apartments. Highly recommended.

Jose and Anabel could not have been better hosts, and the suite here is amazing. This was easily the highlight of our two-week trip to Portugal; our only regret was not spending more time here. The suite has a gated entrance, a private pool, and a very cost two-bedroom, two-storey apartment suite, which is fully equipped. We were greeted to a home-made quiche, made with shiitake mushrooms grown at the quinta, as well as a bottle of port wine that ranks among the best I've ever tasted. Jose and Anabel were kind enough to give us a tour of their small (currently non-commercial) winery, and to let us sample their home-made liqour and wine (I recommend the Elderflower; it was amazing), as well as a sample of their preserves. I can't wait to go back.
