Gutes und vor allem zentral gelegenes Hotel. Die Suiten sind gut ausgestattet. Aber der Wasserhahn wackelte leider bedenklich und das WLAN funktionierte in A503 leider auch nicht. Das darf es eigentlich nicht geben.

Zeer leuk adres. zeer smaakvol ingericht. Modern design, maar toch warm en gezellig. Prachtige, zeer ruime kamers. genoten van het dakterras met prachtig uitzicht op de stad. Attent personeel.

A+++ Una maravilla escondida justo bajo la biblioteca de la Universidad de Coimbra. Hotel boutique divino, las tardecita en la terraza con un Oporto son maravillosas, el personal es superatento y la limpieza perfecta. Cenar en el hotel es una opción ideal cuando caminaste todo el día! Desayunos excelentes. Muchos restos alrededor y te ubica en plena zona histórica

Very welcoming and beautiful hotel/restaurant. Parking was no problem with a bunch of parallel parking spots specifically available for those staying at the hotel. The welcome drink and pastry were very delicious. They so generously upgraded us to the suite at no extra cost once they learned we were on our honeymoon. The suite was very modern and perfect. The only downside was the wifi was very spotty. Otherwise, everything else was great, including their delicious inclusive breakfast. The dinner was also very yummy!

It was very comfortable, staff was super friendly, and interior design was very whimsical and fun. Parking itself was fine but maneuvering the narrow street was not easy though.

A beautiful small hotel with lovely staff who try very hard to please. A great add-on is that happy hour each night features a free glass of their own bottled red or white wine. However, be warned if you have mobility issues, it is a difficult walking trail of steps and cobblestones up from the main plaza.

Dado q moro em coimbra nunca utilisei o hotel mas as referencias são optimas. Localisacao na zona nobre da cidade com belissimas vistas ambiente acolhedor ,pessoal simpático, boa comida ,e a simpatia dos donos em passarem pelas mesas a saber se está tudo bem.

O hotel em si não conheço, mas o restaurante é um espaço de fantastica qualidade, com um staff muito simpatico e prestavel, comida muito bem confecionada e um empratamento fantastico.
Na minha ultima visita tive a sorte de estar presente um grupo de tres elementos que, durante de cerca de uma hora, cantaram fados de Coimbra, na fantastica esplanada que o restaurante tem no exterior.
Quanto aos preços, não são propriamente baratos, mas a relação preço / qualidade, esta muito bom.
No último piso tem uma esplanada com vista sobre a cidade, fantastica.
De regressar.

Sind spontan darauf gestoßen und waren sehr positiv überrascht. Mittags nur auf einem Café aber haben für abends gleich einen Tisch reserviert. Essen war sehr gut. Mittlere Preisklasse. Uns wurde auch gleich eine Besichtigung der Räumlichkeiten angeboten bis hoch zur stylischen dachterrasse welche einen tollen Blick über ganz Coimbra bietet...

Encantador hotel con terraza en las alturas y patio interior muy agradable. Sin duda de los mejorez hoteles de Coimbra.
El barman nos trató muy bien y nos recomendó que gin tomar, conforme a nuestros gustos, y la verdad es que acertó y mucho.
Las copas tienen un precio "elevado" para ser Coimbra, pero un ambiente muy agradable y tranquilo.
Si quieres disfrutar de las mejores vistas de un hotel en Coimbra, aprovecha y ve. Además dispone de acceso para minusválidos físicos y ascensor.
Relación calidad-precio buena.

Muy lindo hotel, nuevo. Kichinette bien equipada, baño cómodo, cama cómoda. Lo único realmente malo es que carece totalmente de espacio de guardado, no hay cajones ni closet donde colocar la ropa. Sólo un perchero con 6 perchas, el resto de la ropa en la maleta

Nous avons seulement essayé le rooftop où la vue est exceptionnelle. Si vous passez à Coimbra il faut aller y boire un verre. Les serveurs sont efficaces et attentionnés. L’hôtel et le restaurant nous ont semblé décoré avec beaucoup de gout.

Não me consigo cansa4 das vistas do rooftop esteja um dia de sol, ou cinzento, vale sempre a pena a subida ao último andar, mas a esplanada no r/c também é um lugar super agradável, onde podemos beber um café ou outra bebida qualquer e disfrutar do espaço sem barulhos ou confusões. O restaurante pode optar por mini pratos ou doses normais, uma ementa variada quanto basta e sempre deliciosa, não é o local mais barato da cidade mas vale o preço. Os funcionários sempre muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Aconselho a visita

It can be a little hard too find. But, it worth the search. Very friendly helpful staff. Nice private balcony. Will certainly stay there again. Very narrow roads. If you are going to spend any time in the city cores in Portugal rent as small a car as you can use!!!!

It’s relatively new recently renovated. It’s a boutique hotel converted from an apartment. The public spaces are well decorated, but in the rooms feel a bit bare. We stayed at the apartment room and it was huge. Great view of the river and looks right at the back of the University of Coimbra. Entrance to the hotel isn’t clearly marked so we were a bit confused when we got there. Tip is to go down the stairs instead of the zigzag accessibility ramp - stairs are faster and more direct if you could just carry your luggage a little bit.

I liked everything. The hotel is contemporary and nicely decorated and everything feels new but is very charming. You are greeted well by the staff and they are very friendly and you feel you are part of a small community and you don’t want to leave. Breakfast is excellent. The rooftop view of Coimbra is breathtaking. The room and bed super comfortable and spacious. My room has courtyard view which was fantastic. I cannot find anything wrong with this hotel, it’s perfect!

This was the sweetest little hotel. We were just in Coimbra for one night but wish we could’ve stayed two! Staff were super helpful and they upgraded us to one of the apartments for no charge. Free breakfast buffet was great!

The hotel is in an excellent location, a stones throw from the University, and its conversion from an older building has been well done. The decor is surprisingly modern and minimalist, but attractive and comfortable enough. The food in their restaurant is excellent. Unfortunately, one incident marred an otherwise enjoyable stay. One evening, we returned, wet from being caught in the rain, to find that the heating function on our reverse cycle air-conditioning unit wasnt functioning. When we went out for dinner later, we mentioned it to the lady at the front desk and she said that she would look into it. When we returned, we found it blasting out 26C heat, so switched it off and then, as the room was still feeling unbearably overheated, tried to switch on the cooling function for a while, only to find that this wasnt working. We phoned the front desk, to be told that we could only have heating or cooling, and, as she had already switched it over once, it was now too difficult to switch it back. This was the first wed heard about the necessity of choosing heating or cooling, and we had a very uncomfortable night, as it was so warm, and, when we opened the window, it was very noisy indeed. Its a pity that this issue has completely clouded my view of the hotel.

Very unique hotel. Spacious studio apartment with a small kitchen and seating area, but we only only used the bedroom. Bed was not king sized, which we prefer. Not sure about the loft-type of studio, which was inconvenient because of the stairs. For instance, we left our large bag upstairs because of the stairs, a somewhat inconvenient arrangement. Lots os windows but could not open curtains due to privacy. On the positive side, the restaurant was excellent with outstanding service.

This is a gorgeous quaint hotel in the best location in Coimbra. I'd return to stay here as we loved our room and the cleanliness and its overall charm. The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the head bartender/waiter treated us horribly simply for requesting to change our dinner reservation by 30 minutes. When we came downstairs for dinner, he refused to look at us and had such a nasty attitude, we almost left. Hence, we only had appetizers and took our business to another restaurant. Clearly, the customer is not the most highly regarded person at this hotel's restaurant.

Wonderful location. Easy parking. Beautifully designed. Spacious room. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was excellent However, the bedroom and toilet areas are not comfortable to use. Our shower didn’t function properly. We asked the staff to fix it, but it wasn’t fixed until our departure.

Primero nos ubicaron en la habitación A 401: enorme y bien equipada, pero muy incómoda: dos plantas por escalera, la puerta del baño no cerraba, llena de hormigas y oscura porque no podían descorrerse las cortinas de los ventanales porque daban a áreas públicas. Luego nos cambiaron a la C 102 que resultó PERFECTA EN TODO SENTIDO.

This place is fantastic! Not only is the location literally right next to the University of Coimbra, the staff are also lovely, deco beautiful and room are new/clean. I love how the hotel are decorated with all the books and corks that Coimbra / Portugal is famous of. And it even has a wonderful garden you can sit out for meals!! Would love to stay again!

Cool place in great location but the toilet was literally in our room, in a glass box, not even behind a wall.Fire your designer. When using the toilet, people want privacy and some distance from their travel mate. At least the glass was frosted. The shower, in another box, was made of clear glass, about 30 cm from the bed.Also: a four star hotel should have a fitness room (or free access to a nearby gym), and in the room an ironing board and coffeemaker. None were provided ‘because we are a boutique hotel’. Having said that, the staff was friendly and the rooftop sweet.

Splendido. Se potessi gli darei più stelle. Un luogo magico e sofisticato , affianco all'università di Coimbra ma sufficientemente appartato per garantire una oasi di pace . Personale gentilissimo . Alle sei del pomeriggio allo scoccare delle campane offrono un bicchiere di vino rosso di loro produzione, inutile dire che è ottimo come ottima è la cena servita in un patio dominato da un bellissimo albero di noce. Se non venite a dormire cercate almeno di venire a cena. Imperdibile.

My flight was cancelled due to a fuel issue. Passengers stayed on the aircraft for 4 hours until the captain advised that the flight was cancelled and that all passengers had to leave the aircraft. I had a reservation for 2 nights at this hotel to attend a wedding. I obviously missed the wedding and kindly asked the hotel for a refund. The hotel refused to issue a refund due to their non-refundable policy. I sent proof of the flight cancellation as well as photos of the maintenance crew onboard the aircraft and I kindly asked them to make an exception given the exceptional circumstances and they still declined. They offered a credit to be used within a year but as I mentioned to them, the purpose of my trip was to attend a wedding and that I would therefore not be going back to Portugal. I asked for the refund 6 hours after having reserved the room. I also asked for my request to be escalated to upper management and my request was ignored. Beware of this hotel as they have zero compassion and no common sense. My non-refundable car rental with budget was completely refunded as they acknowledged the exceptional circumstances.

Stopped by for a snack after seeing a sign on our way walking around the town, place looked very nice but the staff were very rude. Ordered 2 toasted sandwiches and 2 beers, the place had only 1 of other group of people and after waiting 30 minutes we left after not even getting our beers. Very poor!

Eine Beurteilung, die nicht ganz leicht fällt : Auf der einen Seite die sehr gute , ruhige Lage direkt an der Universität , die originelle, moderne Innenarchitektur , das freundliche Personal und der schöne Garten mit dem grossen Walnussbaum, unter dem man wunderbar sitzen und essen kann.
Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer zu diesem Garten hin und das bedeutete bis nachts um 1.00 Lärm, Lachen, Gläsergeräusche und dann anschließend die Aufräumarbeiten des Personals mit Stuhlscharren etc.
Das Zimmer selbst klein , sehr modern, aber praktisch keinerlei Abstellflächen/ Kleiderschrank. Man lebt aus dem Koffer.
WLAN Qualität schwankend.
Insgesamt für den Preis zu teuer und auf keinen Fall Zimmer zum Garten buchen.

Sapienta Boutique Hotel was a highlight of our trip to Portugal. The location is outstanding for touring the university, palace, museums and cathedrals. The outdoor and indoor spaces are beautifully designed, using old and modern elements in a highly refined way. For being only 10 months old, they are operating like a well oiled machine. Staff is exceptionally helpful and speak English well. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. I hope your enjoy your stay there as much as we did!

Très bel hôtel à Coimbra. Belle chambre spacieuse et moderne. L’hôtel est tout neuf, à peine 10 mois, et est très agréable. Toutefois les employés semblent un peu perdus, ils devraient proposer davantage leur aide et même insister pour transporter les bagages à l’arrivée et au départ, car il faut descendre ou monter une vingtaine de marches.Le buffet du petit-déjeuner déjeuner est très bien.Je recommande vivement cet hôtel bien situé pour une belle halte à Coimbra.

This is probably one of the better hotels in Coimbra. We rented a loft, which was two stories. It was modern, and spacious. Beds were comfy, and there was good soundproofing from street noise. Daily cleaning staff was superb. We really appreciated the kitchen for simple snacks and lighter meals. Heater worked great for the colder evenings, and bathrooms were spacious. Hot water was HOT. The grounds had a lovely outdoor area for relaxing, reading or working. There are luggage racks but no place to store clothing. It would be helpful if they had some storage for guests. We enjoyed our daily breakfast. Coffee is not great though. This was common in Coimbra (and Porto). We were spoiled by Lisbon coffee quality. We had dinner a couple nights at the hotel, but preferred the local Coimbra restaurants.
We loved the loft space separation, but hated being on the ground and first floors. Our large bedroom patio door opened directly into the patio restaurant so we had to keep the curtain closed for privacy except during early morning hours. The upper floor was located on street level and people walking on the street can see you and basically stick their heads in your room. It was a fish bowl if we had all our windows and curtains opened. People smoked right outside our window, which forced us to keep our windows closed for the entire stay.
We highly recommend this hotel, but don't recommend the lower loft floor. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Coimbra.

Magnifique établissement. Il sagit dun immeuble à caractère historique qui a été rénové et décoré avec goût. Situé en hauteur à proximité de luniversité, on profite dune vue exceptionnelle sur la ville à partir de la terrasse sur le toit. Un jardin avec une autre terrasse permet de prendre un repas le midi ou le soir ou de se prélasser en toute quiétude. La nourriture est excellente. Le personnel est attentionné. La principale difficulté consiste à se stationner à proximité si on se rend en voiture, mais lhôtel dispose de quelques places réservées sur la rue. La conduite pour sortir du centre historique constitue également un défi avec des rues extrêmement étroites. On a donc intérêt à avoir un véhicule de petite dimension.

Preços muito elevados (acredito que os donos queiram pagar o investimento que fizeram, mas é demais!); atendimento lento, mas simpático. Gostei muito de ver a antiga casa dos Jesuítas (CUMN) renovada e muito bem aproveitada. Belo panorama da esplanada do telhado: atenção às cabeçadas na porta que dá acesso a ela.

Com quartos espaçosos e muito agradáveis beneficia ainda de de uma localização privilegiada junto à universidade. O rooftop tem, certamente, uma das melhores vistas de Coimbra.

Lovely hotel very close to the University. Recommend using a taxi to get there as driving in the city is very challenging. Our room had high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows with tasteful black, white and wood design elements. Excellent bed and linens. Great buffet breakfast with strong coffee, fresh breads, local jams, cheeses etc. Central courtyard and rooftop drinks patio. Very helpful multilingual staff. Enjoyed every minute!

Atendimento péssimo! Tinham 5 funcionários e não mais que 10 clientes. Tive que me levantar para pedir o cardápio, me levantar para pedir vinho, me levantar para pedir o cardápio de tapas. Não recomendo.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of Coimbra.
We stumbled on it by luck and we couldn’t be happier. Place is very well designed and curated, with beautiful modern features mixing with the traditional elements. The staff is super friendly and polite, welcoming and warm. We got upgraded to an apartment despite we only stayed one night, totally unexpected. Our stay became very special and memorable.
Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

Excelente hotel, voltaríamos com certeza, no entorno do hotel as ruas são muitas estreitas e de difícil acesso, nada como deixar o carro em um dos estacionamentos do centro (Av. Fernão de Magalhães) a 10 euros a diária, e seguir tranquilamente para o hotel de Taxi, fácil de encontrar em frente a estação do comboio (trem), tarifa em torno de 5 euros mais adicional de bagagem em torno de 2,50 euros, sem susto taxistas treinados para atender aos turistas.
O Hotel fica muito bem localizado, divisa com Universidade de Coimbra, e uns 15 minutos a pé do centro comercial, com varias opções de restaurantes, bares, lojas, monumentos históricos no trajeto.

The hotel is really beautiful. We had three people in a suite downstairs. The rooms were separated and large, and beds were beautiful and comfortable, and we had our own terrace. THe breakfasts are delicious and extensive and the hotel garden and patio are a lovely place to relax. A great place to stay in the city!

Wow! Ależ niespodzianka! Co za wspaniały hotel, świeżo oddany do użytku. Piękna lokalizacja z jednym z najlepszych widoków ze wzgórza starego miasta. Czyste pokoje, klimatyzacja, piękny dziedziniec i fantastyczny taras widokowy na dachu na szóstym piętrze budynku. Hotel nieco ukryty od masowej turystyki, bo niedostępny dla wielkich autokarów (przez wąskie i kręte średniowieczne uliczki) okupujących wielkie hotele nad rzeką. Ta zaleta może być jedyną wadą tego hotelu jaką widzę dla gości przyjeżdżających samochodem. Bardzo polecam!

Clean, large rooms with strong AC and helpful staff. Would love to stay again. Beautiful outdoor courtyard, and don't miss the rooftop deck. You get both a good view of the river and a direct view of the university.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We loved the ambiance, the rooms, the outdoor seating and terrace seating with an amazing view.We were welcomed with a glass of port and a Nata (our new favorite pastry). Our room was very clean (new hotel) and very well decorated- very modern and comfortable.We were able to park our car on the street next to the hotel. Gps will take you to a Main Street, but there is a side street you can park on for free and you go down stairs to drop your luggage off.We never had to use our car as we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go.

Excelente localização (ao lado da Universidade), instalações novas e modernas, quarto amplo é muito limpo, staff receptivo e amigável e ambiente muito agradável. Como bônus, hotel possui um terraço (rooftop) com uma vista incrível da cidade. Recomendo!

Struttura nuova e ad alto livello di design integrato con l'architettura storica della città. Personale gentile ed accogliente. Camere-appartamento per 4 persone spaziose dall'arredamento minimal di buon gusto. Ottima posizione proprio sotto all'università di Coimbra, e quindi, in pieno centro.

Brand new hotel at 100 meters of the main place to visit in Coimbra, the University and the Joanina Bibliothèque. We got room b601 with a large terrace and astonishing views. Almost the same views than the ones you can have from the rooftop which are simply astonishing.

Excelente opção ao pé da Universidade e do centro histórico de Coimbra. Quartos amplos e bem equipados. A decoração combina simplicidade, conforto, requinte e bom gosto. Procura o ponto ótimo entre a tradição e a modernidade.
