Rooms and hallways are to dark. Poor distribution in rooms, not enough space to store. Water gets out of the shower so all the bathroom becomes a mess.

Great location - I took away a star just because the lighting in the rooms was hard for putting makeup on and the shower was hard to use and got water everywhere!

Muito bem localizado. Dali se alcança com facilidade os principais pontos turísticos como a belussima estação de trem com sua fantástica coleção de azulejos. O café Majestic fica a apenas alguns minutos caminhando assim como a inesquecível e inigualável livraria Lello. Cenário de Harry Potter. Hotel temático com mobiliário pertinente e sofisticado. Decoração do apartamento muito original. Cores fortes criam a atmosfera pretendida pelos seus projetistas. Amamos...

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and attractive. However, the tub was impractical to get in and out of.

Very different. Qwerky style. Everything like being in a theatre. Big room. Fantastic shower. Large assortments offered for breakfast. Staff are helpful, friendly and smiling. EXCELLENT location for all tourist activities.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is satisfactory but doesn't change from day to day. The weak point of the hotel is the lighting and electricity. We stayed in a very large suite and except for the bath area, the rooms are woefully under lit. There is more light in the catacombs! Dark patterned carpet and dark walls add to the glum aura. Unless you stay in your bed and use the reading lamp, it's almost impossible to read anywhere else in the room during evening hours. To me, light is crucial for mood and I certainly did not find my spirits boosted when I came back to the hotel after a day of touring an otherwise wonderful city.
Also, there are only two outlets in the entire room and both of these are single socket.

Extrêmement bien situé dans la ville, laccueil a été parfait, les chambres étaient bien conçues et fonctionnelles mais trop sombres (comme tout lhôtel dailleurs), il faut revoir les éclairages. Check-in et Check out très longs avec problème de minibar alors que je navais rien consommé. Faire payer un café expresso (au lieu de linfâme café au litre) au petit-déjeuner nest plus admissible aujourdhui dans un hôtel de cette catégorie.

It's good but it feels it trading off a reputation earned a while ago. Small rooms, disengaged staff and sloppy breakfast are the big negatives for me with only its location as the main plus. I will choose differently next time.

Breve riassunto: personale gentilissimo, tutto bellissimo ma troppo tetro. Il bagno, bellissimo, è quanto di più scomodo abbia mai conosciuto. Per uscire dalla vasca/doccia bisogna essere acrobati. Non c'è possibilità di appendere un asciugamano a portata di mano, non c'è un posto dove appoggiare qualsiasi cosa, non c'è il bidet e il lavandino è una specie di ciotola. Ottimo il servizio di parcheggio ma non ci tornerò.

Très beau café de 1923 resté dans son jus. En revanche la nourriture est très simple. J’attendais un peu plus que des planches de charcuterie et fromage. Choix de vin pas mal ainsi que des cocktails à base de Porto. A voir pour l’intérieur.

Really nice hotel, staff very friendly and helpful , Food was really good would recommend having diner in the restaurant, good cocktails and wine. Had a fantastic piano player in the bar in the evening made for a great atmosphere. If your looking for a traditional hotel then this isnt it, if you want something with more style, romance and something a little different then give this ago, you wont regret it . I would defiantly recommend and stay there again.

L'accoglienza é ottima, il personale molto disponibile, (in Portogallo la lingua italiana non è tra quelle comprese "di serie" nel programma turistico, però si sforzano di essere comunque di aiuto)l'hotel si mostra molto originale e raffinato fin dalla reception, con un impatto visivo della zona bar e sala colazione piuttosto "intrigante".
Tutti i vetri esterni sono "fumè" e le illuminazioni interne soffuse, rendono l'ambiente un po' "pesante".il tutto, replica l'ambiente di un teatro;anche i corridoi dei piani delle camere simulano il corridoio di accesso alle "loggie" di un teatro, con numeri luminosi grandi e tendoni pesanti e luci soffuse. Anche le camere con lo stesso stile, luci soffuse, uso massiccio di specchi e vetri, molto eleganti, ma spazi limitati, resi più ampi all'impatto visivo dal gioco di specchi e vetri. Poco pratico il bagno (privo di bidet) e la vasca molto scomoda.

Zentral gelegenes Hotel im Theater Stil. Viele Scheinwerfer, schwere Vorhänge, etwas abgedunkelte Hotelgänge, halt so wie es im Theater ist. Sehr gut zu Fuss von der Metro erreichbar. Sehr gutes Abendessen und absolut tolles Frühstück.
Was etwas irritiert ist das Dusche und WC nur mit einer Glastüre zum Zimmer abgegrenzt ist und man durch die tabakgeförbten Scheiben die Person sieht und hört.

Гостиница не понравилась.Везде приглушенный свет,который угнетает.Макияж сделать в такой темноте невозможно.Комнату дали хуже заявленной.Полотенце было дырявое.Персонал милый,все обещает ,но не выполняет.Пообещали нам ранний завтрак в 6.15 (уточняли несколько раз),но...завтракали мы в аэропорту. Заказанный ужин накануне был хорошим.

Theater themed hotel in a very nice location. Porto is a great base to visit Coimbra, Braga and Guimaraes and it is literally just a few steps away from the train station. Bathroom amenities was Castelbel, a local Portuguese brand. Rainshower was fantastic,bed super comfortable and room was spacious. They even provided 2 umbrellas in the room which proved to be very helpful as it was raining on some days. Breakfast buffet was great choice with overflowing Pasteis de Nata. Staffs were helpful in recommending where to eat. Dont be put off by the comments that it is dark in the public areas as I think this adds charm to the total ambience of the hotel. Highly recommended!

Bom atendimento , portaria eficiente , educados e prestativos.Apartamentos bem decorados, limpos, boa cama , bom banheiro, toalhas e etc...Serviço de quarto , bebidas e cafés tops.Restaurante próprio , pequeno porém com bom serviço , com comida farta e bons produtos.Carta de vinho de Cavas Portuguesas , bebidas quentes e cervejas. Lugar impar na localização , está no Centro histórico do Porto com lindos prédios e hotéis a sua frente.Metro perto e serviços de ônibus.

Arrival at the hotel, the 2 female receptionists were very rude, no smile,eye contact or recognition, we were ignored for a good 10 minutes before a male porter acknowledged us. It was really embarrassing as I had chosen this hotel as a special Christmas gift and was beginning to think Id made a really bad decision. Once we were finally checked in by the male, everything else was excellent, rooms, restaurant, breakfast and location. We loved our visit to porto.and had a most amazing time.

Bien lamentablemente la habitación da a la calle y yo que soy muy sensible al ruido escucho todo. Deberían al menos poner ventanas más gruesas para que podamos descansar. Todo lo demás súper bien Buena atención que dan una copa de oporto como atención. Bien limpieza y ayudan con maletas eso en pocos hoteles en Europa :) Fuera del ruido todo bien

Hôtel bien placé. Personnel compétent et disponible. Seul point noir : salle de bain et toilettes mal pensées. Paroi transparente dans les toilettes : intimité nulle. Petits déjeuners copieux et diversifiés. Petit restaurant typique bon et pas cher : Icarai . ( trottoir en face à droite )

Great hotel, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with storing our bags and helping accommodate us with our infant. The room was clean but a little small, and the air conditioner didnt quite cool the room as much as I wouldve liked. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Hotel con ubicación muy céntrica, frente al café modernista A Brasileira (uno de los más emblemáticos cafés de Oporto), la ubicación es perfecta si visitas Oporto por turismo. Habitaciones amplias, cama muy grande (2 × 2 m) y comoda, habitaciones bien insonorizadas, tv internacional y netflix, wifi funciona muy bien. Un punto de mejora es la iluminación, sobre todo en los baños (para poder maquillarse, ponerse lentillas, etc) y la zona de tocador era un poco pequeña. Buenos y abundantes amenities en el baño. Todos los servicios que ofece son acorde a su categoría. Desayuno muy completo y con fruta de calidad, algo que valoro muy positivamente. El personal muy amable. Si volvemos a Oporto, muy probablemente volvamos a elegir este hotel.

Tolles Hotel mit einem ganz besonderen FEELING. Sehr dunkel im Hotel wie in einem Theater. Freundliches Personal sehr sauber. Nachteil es gibt keine Raucherbalkone, man muss auf die Strasse. Sehr zentral gelegen.Aber auch etwas lauter da direkt an der Strasse. Ich würd trotzdem wieder kommen. Personal spricht kein Deutsch.

Excellent chic boutique hotel. Brilliant theatre theme throughout all areas, with some clever touches of decor and props from the theatre world. Excellent attentive and friendly service. Great breakfast with a wide choice, including cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, eggs, sausages, variety of drinks. No breakfast to order, only buffet. The style of the hotel means it is quite dark inside, including the rooms themselves. If you need your room to be very light and open, then this isn't the hotel for you. Brilliant for couples.

L'accueil à l'hôtel a été très bon. Nous avions réservé une suite junior pour trois nuits et nous n'avons pas été déçus: salle de bains très spacieuse avec baignoire à l'ancienne, robinetterie en cuivre, WC séparés, douche à l'italienne séparée, lit King size, coin salon séparé avec canapé, deux téléviseurs, de grand placards... Seul bémol: le bruit de la rue était très perceptible (voitures, fêtards rentrant chez eux) et c'est dommage pour une telle suite.
L'hôtel possède un bar luxueux avec canapés, une grande salle de restauration avec verrière, des parties communes spacieuses, une (petite) salle de sport sur le toit avec une belle vue. Il est assez sombre mais ça n'est pas un problème.
Le petit déjeuner était très bon. La localisation de l'hôtel est très bonne, bien que dans une rue assez passante donc un peu bruyante. Mais à proximité de la gare et de la station de métro de Sao Bento. A 10 min à pieds des berges du Douro, avec de nombreux bons restaurants portugais à proximité.

Nous ne sommes pas allés à l'hôtel mais au restaurant de ce dernier. Comment dire.... On ne peut même pas appeler ça piège à touriste car il faut savoir qu'il y a un resto. Mais plutôt une grosse arnaque.
Repas fade, extrêmement cher pour le peu qu'il y a à manger (presque 15€ un yaourt avec un coulis de fruits rouge... Oui oui). Personnel ne parlant pas français et voulant trop en faire. Dommage.

El hotel está bien situado, está limpio, el desayuno es bueno,... pero la habitación tiene un diseño incomprensible. Es oscura, no tiene enchufes en el baño ni al lado de la cama, es grande pero no hay sitio donde colocar las cosas. El baño no tiene intimidad. Se han pasado de modernos y le han dado más importancia a la decoración que al confort de los clientes.

Buen hotel, muy buen desayuno con alimentos de calidad, decoración y estilo, tiene aparcamiento privado 20€ noche, vale la pena quedarse en este hotel en el centro de la ciudad, por hacer una crítica las habitaciones que dan a la calle como en mi caso son un poco ruidosas respecto al tráfico, aún así lo recomiendo......

We chose the Palco Restaurant in the Porto Bay Hotel for lunch to escape the awful weather whilst exploring in the area at the end of January 2020. The welcome from the staff was so appreciated - really friendly - and whilst the restaurant was quiet, it has a lovely ambiance. We had the set menu with a glass of wine thrown in which made us realise what great value it was at 18 euros each -the food was delicious. Loved the idea of writing comments in one of the staff member’s book. So happy it rained ...

PortoBay Hotel Teatro is located in a perfect position to easily get around Porto and to all the sites. It is very clean and tidy the staff where very helpful, polite and friendly and the breakfasts where plentiful. The decor while very modern and well presented was just a little bit too much in the room as it made it very dark.

The hotel is close to main station, if you have large luggages I suggest you to stay this hotel or not too far from main station as Porto is a city of hills and stairs. For the hotel itself I like the interior decoration, decent and cozy. If you stay here remember to have breakfast included, they offers diverse dishes (Nata of course) and fresh smoothies.

The hotel Is centrally located, it was perfect. Close to the Metro and Sao Bento train station. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was on the 6th floor. Quiet and spacious. High end aesthetic. The breakfast buffet was good. Lots of food to choose from. I really enjoyed my stay there. I’ll definitely be back.

Very expensive for the prestations.
- We have booked the room Audience : not similar to photos in the website, small television without smart hub (Netflix,..), some equipments like chairs look "cheap", no tea, only coffee in the room, Nespresso but not free ( 2E/capsule)
- not a good presentation of the hotel. For example we discovered at the end there is a fitness room inside.

- The bath, the shower and the king size bed !

This hotel has one of the best locations in Porto. We were able to walk to virtually everything we wanted to see. The rooms were larger than expected and breakfast was more than adequate. Staff was warm and welcoming and handled English fairly well. When were visited there were some minor maintenance issues that would be expected from a hotel of this age. Solid 4 star oroperty.

The location of the hotel right in the city center is great. The rooms and inside is also pretty good however we couldnt sleep comfortably as our room was very noisy, although we mentioned we were leaving at 6am for the airport they gave us a room on the 2nd floor just on top of the bar where they had live music until after 00am. Great if you dont mind sleeping late.

Good four star hotel with an excelent location, right at the center of downtown Porto. The room was clean, with generous space and a well stocked minibar. It had an open bathroom, which I am not a huge fan of. Breakfast buffet is par for the course in a 4 star hotel.

My husband and I loved this hotel. We were apparently upgraded on our room and had a beautiful king-sized bed, all the amenities (our only hotel in Portugal who furnished hair conditioner), lovely linens, great staff and an amazing breakfast. It was so nice to have a parking attendant park our car in a narrow garage and get our car when we left. The staff could not have been more cordial. We'd love to return to PortoBay Hotel Teatro!

I LOVE THIS HOTEL! You can see it since you're entering the hotel lobby. In the room, it is even more eye-pleasing. I love the bathroom and the amenities as well. The location is superb, just next to the station and since Porto city is small, so everything is also in a walking-distance area. Very comfortable and convenient!

Interesting hotel, lovely staff, amazing choice at breakfast. Lighting in the room was gloomy and glass doors to the toilet and shower led to a feeling of lack of privacy. It would have been better with a few drawers to store clothing.

I loved the whole feel and vibe of this hotel: very reminiscent of being in a theatre. The decor was sumptuous and the rooms were lovely too. Comfy bed crisp sheets, what more could a girl ask for?Well, when travelling solo on business, it’s nice to wile away time in the gym . This hotel says it has a gym and there is a reason there are no pictures: it has 2 machines and is teeny tiny. I did more yoga stuff in my room than workout in there. Would be better to take out any reference to a gym IMOAlso, no hairdryer!!!!! Ok maybe a niche moan but still, no hairdryer???Other than that, the staff were really kind polite and friendly, the buffet breakfast to die for and the location superb.Pack your own hairdryer and leave your trainers at home and all is well

This hotel is very dated, the hallways and the rooms are extremely dark. It is very hard to see anything even in broad daylight with all the windows open. That being said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful hotel in a good location. BUT the room was deficient in lighting, functional mirrors and power points. There was no hairdryer and nowhere to plug one in and use a mirror. The bath, although a statement of the room was positioned in a way the you could not use toiletries without leaving them floating in the water after use. There was a big mirror behind the bed but the room lighting was so bad it was of no use. Breakfast was very good. Staff very nice but checkout was poor, long queues and only one person to deal with guests.

The hotel is in a good position close to main attractions and metro. The staff are very helpful and polite. We were not impressed with the hotel itself. The bedroom & bathroom needs updating and the amenities were minimal. Lighting is very poor. No mirror in the bedroom.Breakfast was disappointing with extra charges for eg fried eggs and other items you wouldn’t expect to pay extra for especially from a 4 star hotel. The room rate is very high and does not reflect the standard of room & breakfast.

Good location and comfortable.
The rooms are a bit dated/could paint the walls - considering they claim to be a 4 star hotel.
Plus, the bathrooms have weird and not so comfortable glass doors/walls
But since it’s in the center - I believe it’s good in terms of value for money.

Bel hôtel, très bonne situation (en plein centre, près de la gare, des métros et des attractions touristiques). L'hôtel est dans le thème du théâtre ce qui le rend assez sombre.
Le petit déjeuner est assez complet, bien que la salle est assez petite.
Les chambres sont simples et petites mais suffisantes pour un court séjour à Porto.

Great breakfast with a wide choice, including cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, eggs, sausages, variety of drinks. No breakfast to order, only buffet. The style of the hotel means it is quite dark inside, including the rooms themselves. If you need your room to be very light and open, then this isn't the hotel for you. Brilliant for couples.

For the Hotel Design porn enthusiasts in us, Hotel Teatro is design above functionality. It's dark, copper palette is exquisite. The spaces keep the theater theme throughout.
The rooms are well-sized and have the right amenities but are not the most functional. With only three usable outlets in the room, it's not convenient if you have business equipment. In addition, the rooms are too dark.
All in all, beautiful design but not the most functional space. The bathroom has a gorgeous clawfoot tub but the shower water splattered everywhere and created puddles.
Finally the location is amazing and very central.

La chambre que nous avions (103) donnait sur une rue pavée passagère et très bruyante ( pavés) les chambres sont très sombres mal insonorisées et la literie inconfortable . La décoration thématique surprend et est très très sombre. La baignoire peut être très dangereuse pour des personnes à mobilité réduite accès difficile.!!! Le travail des femmes de ménage ne doit pas être facile.!!!!

Das Personal an der Reception ist sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir wurden herzlich empfang und unser Gepäck wurde uns auch gleich vor betreten der Eingangstreppe abgenommen. Das Design des Hotels ist etwas eigenwillig, aber definitiv toll gemacht. Was ein Bisschen negativ ist, ist dass es sehr düster ist im Inneren des Hotels. Ist aber nicht weiter störend. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und hübsch eingerichtet. Das Bad ist ganz toll eingerichtet und bietet mit der Regendusche ein bisschen Wellness im Zimmer. Die Möglichkeit gleich nach dem Aufstehen einen Kaffee zubereiten zu können (auch wenn es nur Instant-Kaffee ist) ist wirklich toll. Das Frühstück ist grossartig. Das Personal ist nonstop am auffüllen, reinigen, Geschirr wegräumen. Wirklich super! Und ein Gläschen Sekt zum Frühstück ist ein toller Start in den Urlaubsalltag.

Teatro is dark, miserable and depressing. From our initial entry my wife and i wanted to be out and could not enjoy spending time in the building. Porto is a pleasant city (we spent 4 nights there) but if we returned, which is unlikely) we certainly would be looking for accommodation elsewhere.

Wir wurden herzlich und professionell empfangen, bekamen gleich wertvolle Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt nebst Stadtplan. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und gemütlich, das Frühstück reichhaltig, u.a. mit frischen Säften, frischem Obst, selbst gemachten Marmeladen, Herzhaftem und Süßem - für jeden etwas dabei. Das Servicepersonal war kompetent und freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal, von hier aus lässt sich Portos Zentrum komplett erlaufen. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder hier übernachten.

O Hotel é muito bonito e bem localizado, mas tudo é muito pequeno. O restaurante é bonito, mas sem reserva é impossível de ir. O estacionamento cabe poucos carros. O barulho da rua é muito, mas muito mesmo, incomodo.
Essa é uma rua bem movimentada, de dia tem trânsito e de madrugada muita gente falando alto, caminhão de lixo, etc. Considerando preço/serviço/decoração/localização, é uma boa opção se for para "badalar" noite adentro!!!

El Hotel Teatro es una estupenda opción para pasar una estancia en la ciudad de Oporto.
Su ubicación, en pleno centro de la ciudad es inmejorable, estando perfectamente comunicado por Metro con el aeropuerto y situándose a pocos pasos de la estación de ferrocarril de San Bento.
La atención de todo el personal en todo momento ha sido muy atenta e inmejorable. Al llegar fuimos obsequiados con una copa de vino de oporto en el bar del hotel, un detalle cordial muy de agradecer.
El hotel cuenta con un espléndido diseño moderno con un ambiente muy logrado a mi juicio. Todo el hotel está lleno de referencias a los antiguos teatros, ya que el edificio en el pasado fue un teatro. Las habitaciones son modernas y confortables, decoradas con muy buen gusto en tonos dorados y marrones. Las camas y almohadas son espléndidas al igual que los baños. El desayuno quizás algo corto en variedad, pero suficiente y con todos los productos de excelente calidad.
Como notas negativas solamente destacaría la escasa iluminación existente tanto en habitaciones como en zonas comunes, la falta de "amenities" en el baño, algo que parece endémico ya en la mayoría de hoteles pero que en uno de esta categoría resulta extraño, y pequeños fallos de diseño que podrían haber sido evitados sin problema como la necesidad de poner una toalla en la puerta de la ducha para que no se salga el agua.
En definitiva un espléndido hotel urbano, bien comunicado y con un diseño que encantará a los viajeros con inquietudes y amantes de la innovación, si por el contrario eres algo más convencional quizás haya opciones más interesantes en la ciudad.

Atmospheric hotel in a good, central location. Appealing (if slightly dark!) décor, stylish rooms and a really great restaurant. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Perhaps the bathrooms could benefit from a door rather than a curtain, but I'd very happily stay again.

No complaints about the location, service, or the staff. But the decorator must be caught and flogged. Not only is the all glass shower stall awkward and unsafe for users (no grab bar, nothing to hold on to inside, no place to put a towel within arms reach inside or outside) its probably a nightmare for the cleaning and maintenance staff. The lighting is also terrible, tiny pools of light in the hallways, with very dark walls and carpets. Other than that, fine. Ill stay there again but Ill bring a flashlight.

It's very dark. The hotel is themed after a theatre and as such is very dark. Walls are dark. Fixture are dark. Floors are dark. The room are dark. Everything is dark
Our room was very comfortable and quiet and made for a pleasant stay. One oddity was the bathroom. Particularly the water closet for the toilet. There's no door to the bathroom only a curtain. Make sure you're really comfortable with your partner or turn up the volume on the TV.
The hotel is in need of a little bit of maintenance. Nothing major that would spoil your trip. Everything worked great but you can start to see it need some TLC. Fresh paint would do it wonders.
The free Wifi was very nice to have and worked really well on multiple devices. I'm always shocked that larger hotel chains seem to charge for this. I mean even Mc Donald's offers free WiFi and your not spending $100+/night.
Breakfast was included. It was good enough to get us started with our day. If you want a big greasy breakfast you won't get that but there's plenty of other things to satisfy you.
The staff was very friendly and they spoke and understood English very well. It made life a lot easier when asking for assistance, recommendations and directions.
The location was very convenient and within walking distance to many sites, restaurants, bars, café and shopping. Check out R. das Flores and R. de Mouzinho da Silveira for food/drink and Rua de Santa Catarina for shopping.

The location here is quite convenient which is about 8 minutes from the train station-Sao bento(almost the city center) and it is quiet at night.
The breakfast is buffer which has various of things to choose.
The hotel has a restaurant and a small bar, so it will be convenient when you feel lazy and don't want to go out for food.
The staffs here speak frequently English. And you can get a map from the reception.

The location of the hotel is great, set between the river and the main shopping area. Lots of cafes, restaurants and bars within 5 mins walk.The hotel and room design were great. We stayed in an Audience room which was very large and had a great bathroom with shower, and a separate roll-top bath in the bedroom.Previous reviews mention the hotel being dark. This adds to the atmosphere and design of the hotel, and did not cause any issues other than perhaps when getting ready, doing hair and make-up etc. The lack of an iron in the room, or the ability to borrow one is also an inconvenience.Breakfast has a small but good choice, with mostly continental options. Eggs and bacon were the only cooked items. The natas were exceptionally good!Overall a good stay with very friendly staff and a great location.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuss bis zum Duoro. Die Einrichtung ist sauber und stylisch, dem Thema Theater entsprechend ziemlich dunkel. Das bemerkt man vor allem im Badezimmer beim rasieren (oder die Frauen beim schminken) Die Zimmergrösse war meines Erachtens zu klein für die Preislage. Das Personal war immer freundlich und aufgestellt. Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig.

Estive hospedado entre os dias 8 e 13/03/2016 e tenho algumas observações e críticas a fazer, quais sejam:
1 - Fiz a reserva pela internet com um Kit de Espumante e "Frutas Frescas" que segundo informação do Site, estariam no quarto por ocasião do nosso Check in. Para minha desagradável surpresa o tal Kit não estava no quarto. Liguei para recepção e falei com o Sr. Vasco que pediu as desculpas e perguntou-me que horas seria mais conveniente repor o Kit. Solicitei para as 17hs. Mais uma vez desagradável, surpresa, pois ao retornar para o quarto após as 17hs o tal Kit não estava conforme prometido. Novamente reclamei e após uns 10 minutos trouxeram o "tal" kit. Novamente desagradável surpresa, pois recebi um espumante, sendo que as "Frutas Frescas" eram 12 (doze), uvas as quais não estavam num cacho, mas soltas e dispersas no prato, realmente desqualificável; Obs, após nova reclamação (a 3ª para o mesmo assunto), foi-me oferecido mais um espumante, porém, frutas frescas nem pensar.
2 - Fiquei hospedado no quarto 406 e assevero que seu projeto não atende em nada para acolher um casal em estadia de férias, pois: a) a bancada do lavatório é extremamente exígua o que nãopermite pousar escovas, material de higiene pessoal etc; b) não há uma mísera tomada (ficha), para que se possa ligar um barbeador elétrico ou um secador de cabelos. Ou melhor, para um Hotel que se diz "Conceito" não há secador de cabelos disponível no quarto (penso que já não dispuseram o secador porque não tem a tomada para liga-lo); c) não há ganchos ou travessas para pousar toalhas de rosto ou de mãos; d) com relação aos suportes para pendurar as toalhas de banho, os mesmos estão dispostos no portal de acesso a área do lavatório do Banheiro, sendo que um deles fica muito distante da área do duche
3 - Na bancada de apoio na área de dormir, há apenas 1 (uma) tomada para ligar: Cafeteira, jarro de água, computador, e telemóveis. Um verdadeiro absurdo!! será que fizeram isso por economia?
4 - O Jarro aquecedor, as xícaras de chá e as saquetas de chá ficam dispostas no extremo oposto da cafeteira e da bancada, junto a porta de entrada e num sítio sem tomada. será que foi disposto assim para irritar o hóspede?
5 - O Aquecimento do quarto não funciona, bem como a calefação é péssima e muito além do sofrível.
Por fim, a nossa viagem só não foi um desastre porque a Cidade do Porto é Maravilhosa e o Povo encantador.
Quanto ao Hotel Teatro, sugiro contratar um Arquiteto que entenda minimamente como deve funcionar os aposentos para proporcionar conforto e bem estar aos hóspedes. Minha nota é 1 (um).

Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and the hotel is a real experience. The location was perfect (and there are a lot of hotels in areas you may not want to stay in...) The breakfast was great - all the meats, juices and fruit you might expect, but also local pastries and cakes and fizzy wine. The only slight downside is that they dont have milk in the rooms. Not a huge problem if you remember to ask at the bar before you go to bed, but otherwise the early morning cup of tea may be a disappointment. I loved it.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in der Nähe der Altstadt von Porto, diese ist in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen. Das spezielle Design des Hotels zieht sich wie ein roter Faden vom Eingangsbereich durch die Bar, das Restaurant bis in die Zimmer. Der Innenbereich des Hotels ist spärlich beleuchtet, was jedoch zum Designkonzept gehört. Wir empfanden die dunklen Räume zu Beginn etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Das Personal war ausserordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und im Zimmerpreis bereits dabei, was noch mehr zu einem sehr guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis beigetragen hat.

Excelente hotel para lazer, luxuoso e agradável mas no entanto a experiência do pequeno almoço foi desapontante. Falta de staff para a quantidade de hóspedes e por isso muitas mesas por arrumar, falta de pratos e reposição muito fraca. Como já foi dito a porta transparente para o wc não é a melhor solução e a banheira não é de fácil acesso para qualquer pessoa. Excepto isso, gostei imenso e repetirei

Great location. Interesting concept. Huge and confortable room, good beds and the best breakfast we ever had. The lighting to read in bed is unefficient and the hallways are quite dark. The room was made made late (4 or 5 pm). Very professional and helpful contact persons at the reception desk. Nevertheless we would chose this HOTEL again.

The hotel was very nice overall. The staff was vert friendly and helpful. The room was good in size with a very good bathroom (my only complaint is the toilet being exposed to the rest of the room which would make for a weird stay if you are not with your spouse). The location is alright, close to the train station and to one of the main streets. However, it is a good 15-20 mins walk to the wineries, so if your main interest is this lool for other options. For us it was perfect since my wife and I only stayed a few days to go to the Douro Valley.

The only thing I could fault was that the hotel was poorly lit - the lobby, corridors and rooms: but I understand they are trying to re-create the ambience of a theatre.Otherwise, the location, service, rooms, breakfast was very good.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2014 for our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel was nicely located and convenient to most everything in Porto, although it is a bit of a hike to the Duoro River (cabs are plentiful and not that expensive). The staff were very friendly English speakers who sold tickets for the tour bus and helped out with the river cruises. Some nice restaurants were very close by. The rooms are not huge, but well appointed, comfortable and quiet enough. The lobby and restaurant are on the dark side, but we enjoyed the full breakfast that comes with the very reasonable hotel fare. I am very happy to recommend this hotel, especially for the first time visitor on holiday to this terrific city.

Für 1,85 mit der Metro zum Bahnhof, dann noch 240 Schritte und man ist am Hotel. Restaurants, Markthalle, Einkaufstraßen, Fußgängerzone: Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar. Ebenso das Ufer des Douro. Das Hotel ist seinen Preis wert. Das Frühstück vielseitig. Nur die harten Minibrötchen und das wabbelige Toastbrot sollte man durch Brot oder Brötchen ersetzen. Es gibt ja alles um die Ecke zu kaufen. Der Toaster ist ein Minibackofen. Wer auf sein geröstetes Toastbrot wartet, verhungert im Stehen. Aber der Sekt zum Frühstück gleicht das Manko aus.Am Hoteleingang läuft man vorbei, denn die schwere Metallplattentür sieht man nicht als Tür an. Zum Glück steht da ein junger Mann und hält sie auf.Alles in allem geht im Hotel das Design oft vor Funktionalität. Aber man hat nach einem Tag die versteckten Steckdosen, die Lichtschalter gefunden. Und an die Badewanne im Glasschrank gewöhnt man sich auch.

Im Rahmen einer spontanen Städtereise suchte ich nach einem zentralen Hotel in Porto. Das Tetro liegt perfekt nicht weit von U-Bahn und Bahnhof São Bento und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, Geschäfte und Cafés sind sozusagen nebenan. Der freundliche mehrsprachige Empfang und das ruhige Zimmer zum Innenhof überzeugen ebenso wie das (große) Glas Portwein in der Bar. Wegen eines technischen Defekts mußten wir für die zweite Nacht umziehen, was nervig war, aber mit einem Upgrade und einer Flasche Portwein sowie vielen Entschuldigungen abgemildert wurde. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut mit genialen Scones und lokalem Gebäck neben dem üblichen internationalen Anteil von Ei bis Bacon. Insgesamt waren ausnahmslos alle Mitarbeiter respektvoll und freundlich. Wen die leichte Dämmerstimmung nicht stört, der findet hier ein gutes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis in perfekter Lage.

Wir waren für eine 3tägigen Städtetrip in Porto. Hotel ist super gelegen und alles war sehr sauber. Frühstücksbüffet war jetzt nicht riesig, aber absolut ausreichend. Man hatte kostenlosen WLAN-Zugriff. Es war lediglich etwas arg dunkel im Hotel und man brauchte immer seine Zeit, um sich an die Dunkelheit zu gewöhnen. Das Badezimmer - speziell die Toilette - ist nur was für Menschen, die sich gut kennen (und mögen ;-)). Es gibt keine Tür zum Badezimmer und die Toilettentür ist durchsichtig...

Super trevligt hotell med vacker och annorlunda inredning. Vi kom dit mitt i natten och hotell personalen var mycket trevlig och hjälpsam, bar upp våra väskor och visade oss vart restaurangen låg. Rummet var underbart, vi bodde i standardrum som kallas gallery. Sängen var bekväm och stor och vi sov båda bättre än någonsin. Hotellet är dock ganska mörkt , vilket vi tyckte var mysigt, men det blir lite svårt att sminka sig i badrummet.Vi åkte som ett par för att fira min pojkväns födelsedag och för detta syfte var hotellet perfekt. Man får dock tänka på att badrummet består av genomskinliga glasdörrar med ett draperi man kan dra för framför för att minska insyn. Vi tyckte inte att det gjorde något för det var väldigt snyggt , men är man bör vara bekväma med varandra.Frukosten är underbar! En buffé med massor att välja på , känns väldigt lyxigt och man kan även dricka champange om man vill. Maten i restaurangen för övrigt är av väldigt hög kvalité, vi åt lunch där en av dagarna och allt var underbart!Personalen är väldigt hjälpsam och hjälpte oss med att peka ut olika sevärdheter, restauranger samt att boka taxi.Över lag var vår vistelse helt enkelt perfekt!

Our stay was for 2 nights for our honeymoon.We were awed with such quality hotel well hid for about 10 minutes walking to the river. We were sad we couldn't stay more time.We stayed at one of the 5 Audience rooms which has a shower for 1,5 meter wide and 1,5 meter deep which is excellent since it has glass doors from top to bottom. It has, as well, a bathtub. The bathtub should have a drainer beneath it, on the floor, since while showering in it will spray a lot of water around it, nonetheless it will be dry when you return to your room on the end of the day after the hotel service cleans it.This room really breathes Theater because of the room curtains, which look like the ones when a play starts/ends and the lighting is really amazing, because when you're on the bathtub with all the lights off except the one on the bathtub, it looks like you're on stage.The common areas of the hotel are really dark, they really play well with the lights in this place.The location of the hotel is top notch, you are about 1-2 minutes walking to the main avenue.

Das Hotel ist in seiner Ausstattung aussergewöhnlich und kann ich nur empfehlen. Die Lage ist exzellent. Das Personal ist freundlich, aber nicht immer der englischen und schon gar nicht der deutschen Sprache kundig. Das Frühstückbuffet war gut, mit typischen portugiesischen Komponenten. Ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen und gehe gerne wieder hin.

Grundsaetzlich ist das Hotel sehr schön und ist zu Recht ein Designhotel, aber es gab einige Details, die wir bei einem solchen Hotel nicht erwartet hatten (mag sein, dass dies für manch anderen unerheblich ist). Das Badezimmer war zwar sehr schön ansehen, aber die Dusche eigentlich nicht zu gebrauchen, da das Wasser nicht richtig ablaufen kann und man zwangslaeufig das gesamte Bad unter Wasser setzt, will man stehend duschen. Auch gibt es kaum Tageslicht im Hotel und auf dem Zimmer, weshalb man irgendwie immer im Halbdunkeln ist. Bei Frühstück war das Personal vollkommen überfordert. Der Schwarztee war ungeniessbar und man müsste auf Bestellungen lange warten. Insgesamt denke ich, ist es ok für 1-2 Nächte, aber einen längeren Aufenthalt koennen wir nicht empfehlen
