Fijne kitesurf school en goede instructeurs. Zowel locatie aan strand als aan lagoon. Voor verschillende kite stylen materiaal aanwezig en zowel voor beginner als gevorderden.

The worst kite station you could imagine. Old equipment, especially the kites, which cannot give you any fun, but will definitely deliver lots of struggling and pain while trying to handle with that poor stuff. The “instructors” do not know the basics of controlling a kite and the main safety rules. And of course, the owners. They are nice to you at the beginning, but if you claim on anything they provided to you, like poor instructor or miserable equipment, they will immediately insult you, saying the worst words on you. Never leave a deposit to the owners, even if you paid for one hour of rental and gave them a banknote of 100 euros, you gonna never get your change back. I wanted to report the police, but unfortunately had not enough time in Lagos.

Felipe is very friendly, the gear is great and he’s very uncomplicated and knowledgeable about the spot and kitesurfing in general.
Would definitely recommend learning here!

Filipe is awesome! Its the perfect place to learn. He's is IKO certified and a great instructor. Definitely the place to surf in lagos.

The best kite Center I've encountered!
Felipe and his crew introduced me to kiteboard and kite surf in a way that made me wanting to ride every day!
The lagoon in front of the school is beautiful and the experience was rewarding..

Great communication and a super friendly guy to kite with, thanks for the invitation Felippe. The location is perfect for learners or for advanced kiters to train. Superb flat water and easy access to the main beach for wave action. Contact Felippe if you are in the area.

Felipe is a very friendly owner of the kiteschool. When we arrived at the spot, he shared loads of useful information on the tide and wind/water conditions of both the alvor lagoon and meia preia beach. Every day, he says a friendly welcome to the spot and have a nice chat with each other..
He’s a very calm and patient instructor and has all the equipment to train new things (foils, wingfoil, expert of beginner lessions are available)
Definitely recommend coming at this place and enjoy fantastic kiting (and lessons)

Filipe est un gars du coin qui s'investit dans le développement du kite sur Alvor depuis plus de 12 ans maintenant.
Il m'a fait découvrir la baie d'Alvor avec plaisir.

3 days intro course with experienced Filipe under good wind conditions on this perfect kiting lagoon. Great gear, good teaching skills, major flexibility and communication, somehow trust in the performance we made. Filipe is there for your security and give you tips and tricks non-stop. Recommended!

Amazing day kiting at Felipe’s lagoon in late December. As an experienced kiter he was able to give me accurate information about the spot - wind/tides/hazards in advance before I made my journey which was much appreciated. He has a well equipped shop with gear and most importantly spare parts. All in all a fantastic experience - GO KITE AT LAGOS KITE CLUB!!

I had a really good time here at kite club lagoon. My friend took a nice private lesson and I rented all the gear. Felt really safe with the instructor close by. We had some rough conditions but the lagoon was perfect. Only kiteschool next to the lagoon and with rubber boats for rescue. Unfortunately there is not enough wind but we will definitely come back!

AMAZING!!!
I recommend this school to everybody that is interested in kitesurfing. We spent 3 days with Filipe and Nacho for beginners lessons.
We had a good time and made great progress.
Even better than expected.
This school is very close to kite spot in Lagos Lagoon located near to auster farm (you should try some). Better inform how to find before start due to some wrong instructions from google.

Great place to kite surf in the lagoon, ideal for beginners with lots of safe, shallow water. Felipe is great, he knows his kite surfing and knows how to transfer this to beginners.

I got a lesson with Filipe. Very straighforward. He will teach you to kite in a safe way. They are not interested in selling you anything, just want to get you to learn in the best conditions. Recommendable!

Taken to the island in launch which was a nice touch.
Good value for money with all the excellent kit included.

Great school, I did my first lessons here.
Very accommodating and flexible with the hours. All the gear is quite new and in excellent condition. A very relaxed atmosphere with Felipe and Henry
And the school is right on the waterfront

We had an amazing fun kite surfing day with Enrique and Felipe. Super experienced teacher, high quality lesson, new material, felt always safe and learned a lot. I was in constant contact with Enrique via the walkie talkie in my helmet, and managed to get some good time on the board over the day. Fair prices. Thanks you two for an amazing day, want to get more of it! :-) and full recommendation to anyone who wants to learn kite surf in a safe, kind and fun environment

Great school!
We’ve been there in October 2019 for some kitesurfing lessons. The owner Filipe was very responsive, professional, flexible and honest during the booking process. The teacher Enrique was great. He took care that we were safe and having fun. He brought a Walkie-Talkie, coached the two of us through everything we needed to know and ensured that we made substantial progress - and had a lot of fun!
Big thanks to both of you. We’ll come back for sure.

Last Sunday was a happy and successful day for me! ☺️ Because Fate gave me an acquaintance with a wonderful person - Philippe - owner and primary teacher at Lagoskiteclub (lagoon of Ria de Alvor)
This is not just a friendly and helpful person - he is a real gentleman following the code of honor true freeriders! For him, commercial interest in second place. The first is the process of transferring knowledge about SAFE kitesurfing.
Therefore, I received a wonderful lesson from Philippe about three ways to safely launch and land a kite from the coast!
Well, then together we had a little surf in the lagoon

Philip is really an amazing guy, super friendly and a great teacher. Stayed for a week in Algarve and having a school so close to the Laguna really helped me progress in the sports. Prices are super fair and I had really good times with some days hydro foil lessons (one of the only schools that can do this with a rescue boat!!) and normal board rental. Totally recommend! For sure BEST in Class! See for example the pictures:

I’m on a holiday here and one of my connecting lines broke. I couldn’t find any shops to buy new ones , but luckily Philip gave me a pair of new ones for free as he wanted me to still be able to kite the next days. He is really helpful and friendly! Thank a lot!!

Really nice lagoon with shallow water... Filipe was super friendly and he had a good range of rental equipment at a really good price. Personally I was already quite experienced and did not need lessons but this spot in my opinion is perfect for learning. Shallow, safe and lots of space. I'll be back next near for sure!

Très bonne localisation du club sur le lagon.
Pour ma part je suis venu avec mon matériel que je stockais dans l école de Filipe.
Je me rendais à l école en vélos depuis l iberostar ( 5 min en mountain bike )
Filipe et ses collègues me donnaient aussi des conseils sur le lieu et sur ma technique .
Bref de très bons moments de kite.

Very bad experience, I wait 1h because the teacher was late.
Old kite, and board
The guy on the rescu boat don’t speak English and not friendly at all !!
I was Doing body drag and when I finally have it, he come pull the kite down by pulling on the line (very dangerous)
After that he pull the kite on the boat, with his engine still running
Bring be back to the beach with all the line mess up
End of the session
It’s was a lost of money and time
Horrible way to start holiday
If you go kite surf in Lagos, use Algarve school

Good position, great instructor Nacho. Filipe, the owner, does a great job. Equipment is good. If you want to advance quicker, take private lessons instead of the group ones.

Alquilé un kite del 2017 muy desgastado, incluso perdía aire y así acabó mi dia de kitesurf.
Me devolvieron parte del alquiler a regañadientes, pudiendo aceptar lo que era evidente.

Le Lagon de Lagos est très sympa pour kiter. Le vent est au rendez-vous l’après-midi au moment où la marée monte et le lagon se remplit... L’espace de navigation augmente à vue d’oeil et il y en a pour tout le monde. Le Kite Club de Filipe est très sympa aussi. Professionnalisme, humilité et gentillesse caractérisent Filipe et son équipe d’instructeurs. De très bons souvenirs !

The one star is for the kind instructor. All the rest deserve zero stars: Very old unreliable (to the point of being dangerous) equipment, smelly and unhygienic wetsuits, a shack with flags that they call “kite-school”, disregard for even basic safety procedures, most important, they guy who runs the place (Felipe) cares only for your money. Unless you’re very clear upfront on conditions of rental, school’s responsibility to provide rescue boat etc, you risk being heavily insulted or lied to or ripped off...or all of the above. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Nice place and instructor. Shallow water makes this place great for getting up on the board. Jeffery was a great and the equipment was absolutely okay. If the wind is good in the morning, go early, and you will have the spot for yourself. Quite crowded in the afternoon.

Really a bad experience. Booked a semi private lesson for 4 hours 185 euro, but ended up with 3 hours at 150 euro. The gear was good, but hardly no instruction. Not customer friendly at all, instructor and set up gets one star. Only reason the rating is not one star is the gear, which was good and new. So if you only need to rent gear it might be the place for you. I booked the place due to the positive ratings, and very surprised to experience it myself, and questioning the earlier ratings.....

Felipe and the Lagos Kite school are fantastic. My husband (a seasoned kiter) and I (newbie) both rented gear & I took a lesson. Great wind, shallow water. Highly recommend!!
