Visited the winery on December 2019 and it truly was a pleasurable experience. From seeing Magellan's childhood home to the picturesque beauty of the Douro Valley which set the stage for a phenomenal wine tasting followed by an exquisite lunch. Would recommend it to anyone whether you are a wine connoisseur or just a social drinker.

We booked a tour to Douro Valley with Tiago from Touch Tours. We were told that lunch was included in the trip. We expected something light, but what we received simply blew our socks off! We approached a beautiful old building 'Casa Dos Barros' which houses Vintage Theory Port Boutique Winery. The setting was just fabulous with some tables positioned inside some of the old 'baths' where they used to stomp the grapes by foot. But the food from the 25 year old Chef Fabrice Alvarez and the hospitality of Augusto, our host, was just mind-blowing! We received lots of different courses, one more delectable than the next, each accompanied by a different wine (yes, stomped by foot in the ancient ways!). With the dessert they served us a 10 Year old port, which was pretty mind blowing when taken together. I was so quiet enjoying the food that my hubby almost got worried that I had lost my voice ! The Julinha Culeita white was easy drinking and I simply cannot wait to come back during harvest time to enjoy that outside on a hot summer's day with a great view over the vineyard. There is still a typical Romeo and Juliet structure where one could imagine the play taking place...followed by a tiny but cosy chapel which dates out if the 1800's. In the courtyard is a cherry tree and a beautiful sculptured maze garden. Would love to see all of that in summer myself, even though Augusto showed us some pictures. The small cellar is beautiful with some port dating from 1893 ! Here you are treated further to taste all three, the 10, 20 and 30 Year old Port! I really loved the 20 Year old, but it remains a question of personal taste. A beautiful swimming pool meets you as you step out of the courtyard. Augusto has great plans and informed us that next time we will be seated outside in the garden under the big old tree with a view of the vineyards. Did I mention that Augusto also have some rooms one could rent to stay there? If one takes this lunch experience alone, the value far exceeds the price for the total tour, making it a MUST-SEE. My advice? Book this tour now and bring some money, as there is no way you are leaving here without at least one decent bottle of port in hand! Just as we left, a cold mist started covering the whole valley behind us like a big blanket. I ALWAYS get the best weather!

Fantastic atmosphere and food. If you really want to enjoy the experience book accommodation because won't be able to drive afterwards, thoroughly enjoyed experience.

Nous y sommes passés lors d'une visite, le cadre pour manger est magnifique, le repas était bon. seul bémol, la visite qui a été assez expéditive par le guide du domaine.

Ótimo almoço. Amei muito a sobremesa e o vinho servido durante o almoço: Julinha! Excelente!

Nous avons eu le plaisir de nous arrêter dans cette Quinta lors de une visite de la vallée du Douro ou et déjeuner . Sous les noyers de leurs parc. Un très belle endroit avec une vue magnifique sur une partie des vignes de la vallée. Le repas était a la hauteur du lieu. L établissement disposition également d une piscine pour les chambe d hôte. Possibilité de faire une dégustation de Porto maison ainsi que d en acheter. Personnel courtois et professionnelle !

Almoço agradável, seguido de prova de vinhos. Quinta espectacular que deve ser apreciada ao pormenor.

Beautiful place with a great Porto. They have an interesting story to tell and I highly recommend getting a tour.
