I visited the tourist office in October 2018 on a Sunday morning during the annual feria in town and encountered a very very friendly lady explaining me not just the main attractions in the town but also in the surrounding areas, very helpful very friendly and this on top of the beautiful building housing the the tourist center as such

Once you arrive in Tomar, aim to visit this tourist office as they have a lot of useful information including maps and guides which will help you to get the most out of your trip, particularly if it is a day trip. I only visited the office later in the day and wished that I had done so earlier. The staff here are very courteous and helpful!
