The pub has a good atmosphere but the proprietor is a total ripoff had 4 beers and 1 Orange juice 1 jack daniels he try to give dregs of leftover beer because he ran out then tyres to change 45 euros

Memories of great time there in September 2018. Fantastic music, laid back atmosphere and the friendliest bar man Rui. A must go if you’re visiting Olhos. Hope to return in the future.

Am letzten Abend waren wir in dieser ganz besonderen Bar. Sie öffnet erst um 9 Uhr abends und wird von einem älteren, schwarzen Herrn bewirtschaftet. Das Ambiente des Black Cat's sucht seines gleichen. Es handelt sich um eine Jazzbar die mit unheimlich viel liebe in schwarz-rot eingerichtet ist und auf den ersten Blick einen etwas morbiden Eindruck hinterlässt. Auch die Eigenheiten des Wirts sind zunächst gewöhnungsbedürftig. Man kann such nicht einfach irgendwo hinsetzen, sondern der Chef platziert alle Gäste zusammen an der langen Bank. Die Gäste sind wirklich seine Gäste - sogar eher so etwas wie eine große Familie und er ist der Gastgeber. Er stößt zusammen mit allen an. Auch wenn dies auf den ersten Blick seltsam anmutet, so bleibt der gewünschte Erfolg nicht aus. Es entwickelt sich ein Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühl und die Anonymität wird durch eine eher freundschaftliche Bande ersetzt. Es gibt keine Karte aber man würde am Ende den Drink bekommen, den man sich wünscht. Ein unvergesslicher Abend und ein Muss, wenn man dort Urlaub macht.

Pure Lebensfreude. Etwas abseits der vielbelaufenden Touristengassen gelegen (dennoch zentral), erweckt das "Black Cat's" bereits durch seine spezielle Dekoration und Einrichtung von Außen einen ersten Hingucker. Von Innen dringen deutlich hörbar die beliebtesten Jazz Musiksongs nach draußen. Doch nicht die mannigfaltige, detailgetreue (wenngleich etwas reizüberflutende) Innen-und Außeneinrichtung der Bar machen einen Besuch einzigartig, das eigentliche Highlight ist der charismatische Besitzer, Barkeeper, DJ und Entertainer in Personalunion Ruy, der seinen Gästen stets das Gefühl vermittelt, etwas besonderes zu sein und seinen Gästen ,ob groß oder klein, eine schöne Zeit ermöglichen will. Egal, ob er auf der Straße Passanten freundlich begrüßt, das Bargeld auf seine Echtheit überprüft, zum Tanzen das Barlicht in Discolicht verwandelt oder eine Kakerlake (den Kindern zuliebe) vermeintlich auffuttert, Ruy ist eigentlich immer für einen Spaß zu haben und das macht das Black Cats so besonders. Hier wird man, wenn man selbst dafür aufgeschlossen ist, stets eine vergnügte Zeit erleben, um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Am Wochende schwingen einige Leute, die die guten und preiswerten Drinks genießen, auch gerne mal das Tanzbein und Ruy animiert dies. Für allzu ernste Personen, die ein Glas Champagner genießen wollen oder innerhalb der Bar die Stille genießen wollen, ist dieser Ort wohl eher nichts. Das Black Cat's ist jedoch ein absolutes Muss in der Umgebung für Menschen, die Humor haben und einfach mal eine Bar der anderen Art kennenlernen wollen. Wir hatten jedenfalls weitaus mehr Freude an diesem Ort als beispielsweise an der Hotelbar. In der Saison zur Zeit täglich ab 21 Uhr geöffnet. Wir danken für tolle, unterhaltsame Abende!

What can I say..... terrible!! The toilets are dirty, there was poo on the seat!! The beer was dreadful but lucky for me he ran out. I then went onto the Gin but he didn't have Tonic. First and last time!!! Don't waste your time.

Lovely venue for a relaxed evening with classic music hits from the 50s 60s 70s. Not a big place but very cosy and laid back. Fabulously hosted by Roy, a very charming and friendly guy. Always immaculately dressed and happy to see you. Highly recommended.
