The room was large and wonderfully clean. The only drawback was the hardness if the beds. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect for sightseeing on foot.

Cute old fashioned room near the center of town. Staff was friendly and a nice breakfast buffet was available. The one problem is the lack of sound-proofing. There was a noisy family in the room next to me. Luckily they went to bed fairly early. I am always surprised when there are lots of empty rooms and they dont spread the guests out a bit.

Quirky. Very clean, comfortable, right in the middle of town. No car parking nearby, as it is on a pedestrianised street, but free on street parking less than 8 mins. away. Family-run,great value accom, with breakfast included in price. Would stay again.

Considering that its a 2-star rated hotel the key advantage to stay here is if you need a cheap hotel near Porto Campinhas train station and youre planning to take the train the following day. The rooms are old but ok with just what you need for a quick stay.

Sehr altes, ehrwürdiges Haus mitten in der Altstadt mit toller Ausstrahlung. Unser Zimmer lag leider zur Fußgängerzone mit Ihren Cafés und Bars hin und war deshalb recht laut.

Potrebbe essere stupendo dato che la struttura e i mobili sono rimasti quelli liberty, ma è terribilmente sporco, è un vero peccato. Un appello ai proprietari, ristrutturatelo e soprattutto tenetelo pulito.

The nice man checked us in at midnight after a horrible train delay. There is no elevator and we were on the second level up.No A/C but we slept with the window open and it was fine. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was fine.If you are on a budget and dont mind the stairs then this is a nice hotel. We stayed 3 nights.

很可愛的寧靜小鎮，旅館價位不高，雖然房間在三樓要爬樓梯，但親切的老闆協助我們拿行李，而且地點很好，我們住了兩晚，走路到山上的世界遺產修道院、傳統市集、手工陶瓷廠⋯很棒的小鎮

Der Hausherr des “Charming B&B“ ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Nähe (unterhalb des Konvents) ist ein Parkhaus. Von da 5 min. zu Fuß. Die Zimmer sind mit antiken Möbeln ausgestattet. Dielenfußböden. Leider sehr hellhörig. Das Frühstück im großen, hellen Salon ist schon eine Übernachtung wert. Toll. Demnächst müsste wohl das ein oder andere renoviert werden. Die Lage mitten in der Fußgängerzone ist natürlich großartig. Uns hat die Stadt und der Besuch des Konvents sehr gefallen.

Great position in the centre of Tomar main thoroughfare. Old building with traditional furnishings. Tired but clean. Bed felt hard but was actually comfortable. Rust came from hot tap.

This is a very unique hotel on the pedestrian strolling street in Tomar. The furishings were charmingly antique, the owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay.

Hôtel situé dans le vieux Tomar. Tout se fait à pied. Restaurants et cafés pour tous les goûts à proximité. Le personnel de l’hôtel est accueillant et souriant. Petit déjeuner correcte sans plus. Je recommande cet hôtel.

The paint is flaking of the walls, some stain has spread down the walls from ceiling level to a mid-point of the wall. The room is tiny and the shower room is 1.5 by 2 metres in size. The shower itself is so small that it is a 1920's French style sit down shower. The building has 1940's fittings but without any charm. I was taken to a fast food cafe 50 metres away to have my evening meal.
Avoid.

Spent one night in this very clean and comfortable pension in central location on a pedestrian street in Tomar. Great location for visiting the sites and walking the beautiful town. Bedroom was bright and airy and bed comfortable. Self serve bar was available for guests and Jorge the proprietor made us feel very welcome. Great breakfast provided, though other restaurants / cafes located nearby. I would have no hesitation in recommending the guest house as a base to explore all that this town has to offer.

Charming, clean and comfortable place to stay in the center of this Templar knight town! They have a self serve/self pay bar, quick laundry service and they are right along the Portuguese Camino. Plenty of local restaurants & shops & history. Id stay again!

Although no elevator, this hosel/hotel was surprisingly comfortable!. The gentleman at the reception (unfortunately I don't remember his name) was most helpful. He had all the answers, knew all the facts, and even had his own stories to add about the local folklore! I definitely recommend this place when staying in Tomar.

There wasnt parking in area except for residence. We were able to find free street parking with owners direction. Condition of room is below average, can really use updating.

Aunque situado muy céntrico, el hotel es antiguo (en parte, ese es su encanto), y el cuarto de baño es viejo, pequeño e incomodísimo. La cama también es muy mejorable. El personal muy atento y amable.

If your looking for a 5 star hotel with pools and hot tubs look some place else. But if you want to stay at a comfortable home that welcomes you with open arms, then this is the place for you. I was so happy with my stay I book a room for my next trip to Tomar.

Old style character and charm, with rooms that are comfortable and clean and decorated with well loved furnishing. Staff were very accommodating and its location right in the centre of the old town means the main tourist sites are within easy walking distance.

A few minutes walk from the train and bus stations, on a popular pedestrianised street leading from the river to the town hall square and dominated by the Templar castle and former convent, which overlook the city centre. The staff are very welcoming (and speak good English). My room was a bit small but otherwise fine.There is a tourist road-train that offers to take you round the main sights - most of them can be visited easily on foot, but it does avoid the steep climb up to the castle gate: tickets are valid for three hours. There is a wall-walk round the old castle, but the convent buildings are also well worth a visit - I paid 3 euros as a pensioner. Toilets in two locations, cafe.Plenty of good eating and drinking places in the old town but avoid the bread and other starters if offered with a meal unless you want to pay for them.

Very good value. We stayed here with our 4 children and the hotel staff were really helpful. Two of our three rooms were light and airy and the third was a little dark, but still clean and comfortable so that didnt matter. The hotel has a lovely light breakfast room and a great sitting room for guests. You could really spend several days here comfortably. It is very centrally located on a pedestrianised street with a number if good cafés and restaurants. Tomar is a lovely town, great to wander round in the evening. It is worth staying there as the tour groups dont arrive until the middle if the day, so if you get to the fabulous Convento de Christo when it opens, you have the place pretty much to yourself for a couple of hours.

The building is very old, with steep internal stairs. The people that own it and work there are lovely so it is very difficult to be critical but our room had a bad smell, the mattress was uncomfortable, bathroom poor design and function. Just not in my top 10 for this trip.

We loved the youth hostel. It has great character and the location couldn't be better. It is a short walk from all the restaurants, shops, castle (well worth a visit) and river. Unfortunately if you have a room at the front of the hotel it is noisy. We had a lovely view from the room but there is a bar opposite that stays open until 2am. There are a great choice of restaurants outside the hotel.

Nettes Hotel, mitten in der Altstadt, Restaurants und Geschäfte in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar. Parkplatz kostenfrei in der Nähe vorhanden, aber nicht immer leicht einen freien Parkplatz zu finden. Gutes Frühstück.

L' Hotel è molto piacevole e tranquillo offre una buona colazione è pulito e lo staff è gentilissimo però ha le camere un pò troppo vecchie a livello di impianto elettrico e idraulico e a mio avviso andrebbero imbiancate di tanto in tanto, capisco che è del XIX secolo ma a tutto c'è un limite, comunque tutto sommato ci ritornerei è molto rilassante.
