Un accueil plus que chaleureux dans cette maison de charme où l'on se sent comme chez soi ! Le petit déjeuner est excellent et servi dans une sale très agréable à coté du jardin.

Un bed and breakfast caratteristico, in quanto la proprietaria é di origine indiana e gli interni sono arredati in stile indiano. Gentilezza e disponibilità da parte della titolare e dipendenti, colazione rustica e abbondante, pulizia degli ambienti. Costo da bed and breakfast. Critiche tipicamente da italiano: non c'è il bidet in bagno, spendendo qualche euro in più si poteva mettere una porta al posto della tenda nella doccia (maledettamente scomoda). Il letto a due piazze un po' piccolino, comunque comodo per due persone. A 5 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria che permette, in maniera straordinarimente comoda, visitare tutto il litorale, dà Lisbona a Cascais (magari facendosi una giornata balneare ogni giorno in una località diversa)

I would choose this place over a hotel any day. I walked in feeling like I walked into someone's beautiful home and at the same time, it has everything you would want that you get at a hotel. The room has hairdryer, modern bathroom and everything you need. I was traveling for a conference and was actually sad not to be able to spend more time "at home" while there. The kitchen was great as extra grateful for the coffee I was able to get even with it being outside of the breakfast hours. I would definitely stay again and would say that if your looking for a charming experience that is way beyond a hotel stay, than Shanti Niketan is worth the trip on it's own.

I loved being a guest here, just had a few issues re access with a big car (Renault Megane). This is an ideal location in Monte Estoril, extremely hospitable and solicitous hosts, charming and unique cultural/spiritual decor, and very reasonable rate (Jan 2019). Very comfortable, with ample living space including access to drawing room, and full facilities (incl TV!) in each cuarto room. Free parking onsite in secure and gated premises. Access to electronic gate for parking, proceed carefully according to traffic conditions. Final word, I will happily return as a guest.

Charming classically-decorated Portuguese villa. Good location and parking is a bonus. Nice breakfast.

We stayed for two weeks so we could combine a beach holiday with sightseeing. Our room was very comfortable and had every thing we needed.The staff were lovely and very helpful.The breakfasts were different each day and always very nice.Easy to catch the train for Lisbon and Belem. Bus stop outside the hotel for SIntra.Loads to do in Cascais, dont miss the Paula Rego gallery.

Love it . We stayed here for my honeymoon/birthday..it was so nice. Fatima. And Sofia was so nice welcoming and helpful. We will stay there any time we go Portugal. Only wish we could afford to bring all 9 of our children to meet them. They made us feel that at home. X x

Very friendly and helpful staff. It feels like a home away from home. The house is clean, and very close to the train and several bus routes. Free continental breakfast daily. The beach and restaurants are in walking distance. There is a laundromat within walking distance for longer stays to wash/dry your clothes.

The owner, Sofia and the staff, Betinha, Fatima, Patricia are very welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about the area and were able to give me helpful advice and tips. The house is clean and well decorated. It’s in walking distance to the beach, boardwalk and the shopping district. There is a bus stop a few yards away. I would definitely come back for another stay.

Beautiful old house, in perfect condition , 5 mins uphill from Monte Estoril estacao. Lovely , healthy, varied breakfasts , great staff, especially Fatima . We had the run of the house and access to free port & biscuits in the comfy living room. We also had a kettle & cups in tbe entrance lobby. Wed score this a perfect 10 if only it had a heated towel rail in the bathroom.We got wet a few times & needed to be able to dry our clothes , but couldnt . There were radiators , but they werent on.Even so, a fabulous place to stay, on the Lisbon coastal line. 10 mins walk to Cascais along beach promenade & 35 mins into Lisboa by train. Will return , at a slightly warmer time of year .

Super schönes Haus in TOP Lage von Estoril. Die Besitzerin so wie das Personal super freundlich. Die Zimmer sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Es wurde jeden Tag gereinigt. Die kleine Mini Bar auf dem Zimmer wurde bei Bedarf täglich aufgefüllt. Aber ein Stern Abzug fürs Frühstück.Warum es so gelobt wird weiss ich nicht.Entweder waren wir zum falschen Zeitpunkt dort was ich nicht glaube .Wir haben 100 Euro pro Nacht bezahlt was für Estoril wohl normal ist.Aber dafür kann man ein Ordentliches Frühstück verlangen.Wir sind nicht verwöhnt aber eine Wurst und eine Käsesorte finde ich etwas wenig.zu dem es eine Woche die gleiche Wurst gab. Mal zum Frühstück ein Ei zb. Sonntags = Fehlanzeige. Es sei denn man war bereit dafür 2,50 Euro Extraleistung zu zahlen. Für mich ein no go.Brot war nicht immer frisch teilweise trocken was bein anderen auch schon bemängelt worden ist.Wir bekommen alle nichts geschenkt und wenn ich für 15 Tage 1600 Euro bezahle erwarte ich etwas mehr.

Sehr angenehmes und preiswertes Hotel mit B&B-Flair. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir hatten ein Auto (Parkplatz im Hof) und waren nur eine Nacht da und können daher nicht beurteilen, wie erreichbar einzelne interessante Objekte zu Fuss sind.

Super freundliche Aufnahme. Personal ist sehr liebenswert und zuvorkommend. Sehr familiäre Atmosphäre .Das Frühstück war sehr gut und die Besitzerin des Hauses ist jeden morgen persönlich vorbeigekommen in den Frühstücksraum und hat sich nach einem erkundigt und gute Tipps gegeben was es so an Sehenswürdigkeiten gibt und wie man da auch hin kommt. Wir würden es jeder Zeit weiter Empfehlen. Es gibt einen schönen Aufenthaltsraum in dem man lesen kann und ein Gläschen Port trinken kann .So kommt man auch mit anderen Gästen schön ins Gespräch.es war ein Super Urlaub.

Wonderful B and B, beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. Lovely landlady and staff. Very helpful and friendly, with an impressive repertoire of languages, but not overbearing. Breakfast served till 10am so we could enjoy a lie in! Close to the beach, bus and trains. Peaceful garden area.

close to the beach ( about 200m), good restaurants nearby (200m), train to Lisbon nearby (200m), train takes about 35 minutes, comes every 30mins. Cascais easy walking along promenade or one stop on train. All good!

Quiet hotel with period charm located centrally with clean well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Lots of lovely antique furniture. Recommended for families and retirees.

Outstanding B&B in a converted family home. Had a really comfortable bed. Sofia (the owner) is an incredibly welcoming host, and I'd heartily recommend staying here.

Nice stay at this hotel, we really enjoyed it. Helpful details/information from owner to activities. They also prepared a lunch packet for travelling back home. Just one point I want to mention is that we had 2x times no hot water (but this was in the night and very early on the morning when we leave)... but the end it was a pleasant stay and we would overtime come back.

We had a lovely time. Sophia and her staff made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely, tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room, milk was left in the fridge for us every day. The whole house was made available for our use, the standard of cleanliness was very high.Sophia gave us advice on things to do in the local area and where to eat also.Cannot fault anything at all.

as per what has been offered when booking this place about break fast they say Continental break fast but u only get cereal and tea and coffee, no eggs, no beans, no omelet, no hot food at all, not wort for money,

we stayed for 3 nights 19th-22nd sept & had a great stay. the people who run the property are very helpfull, nothing is to much trouble, also met the owner who is also a lovely helpfull lady who takes time to go round people at breakfast & have a chat. the rooms are lovely & clean & breakfast is continental with the option of a cooked breakfast at a cost, we would not hesitate to recommend to any one James &Sandra

We had 3 nights B&B. It was delightful. The owner and her staff were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. 5star

Everything just about worked but the standard was pretty basic (for example the wardrobes are very old and wobbly, drawers sticky etc.). Breakfast is basic (good drinkable coffee costs an extra euro for example). Location is good and it’s an easy 20 minute walk to town.

Ter info: we komen jaarlijks naar Cascais en dit is onze 2de verblijf bij Casa Shanti VOORDELEN: - Zeer dicht bij het station van Monte Estoril - Gratis privé parking - De B&B heeft een mooie tuin waar je rustig kunt lezen of zonnen. - De kamers en de gangen zijn niet gehorig. - Goede bedden met zachte matrassen naar Portugese normen - Leuke zolderkamer met airco NADELEN: De helling naar Casa Shanti (maar bijna onvermijdbaar in deze regio)
