We went to the shop to ask about day classes. The manager was quite rude and condescending with us. He wasn't helpful at all with our questions. We ended up going the the surf experience where the staff was much more welcoming. I'm not surprised when seeing the content of the answers to previous comments here and that matches the experience we had at the shop.

We had a special week with really good sea conditions!! Thanks to the boys at the lagossurfcenter that explain us where to go surf every day! Thank you also for advice for our surfboards and for the possibility to change than during the week!! See you next year!!

Llegamos a las 18:00 de la tarde a la tienda y estaba cerrada cuando el horario es hasta las 20:00. Nos encontramos con el dueño en el parking de "praia da luz" repartiendo folletos (adjunto foto*) de una manera un poco violenta -nos aparco su 4x4 delante de nuestra caravana cortandonos el paso y directamente se hacerlo a nosotros para dejarnos claro que no le gustan los turistas (si esas personas de las que vives).... Espero que por el bien de tu salud no nos volvamos a cruzar y deja de inventarte señales de tráfico. maleducado

Booked a half day lesson with the surf school. Instructors Pedro and Freddy were cool guys and very encouraging. Didn’t put too much pressure on you to do too much, but helped as much as possible when you needed it. Will use them again when we return.

Quite unpolite behavior of the owner of the surfshop, after a misunderstanding what his employees have been responsible for. I couldn’t finish my surfcourse and had to pay more than what was agreed from both sides for a day. Not to be recommended. If you wanna do a surf course just go directly to „future Surfing School “ in Portimão. Kind and polite People and good Material

I’ve been taking classes with the school in 2017( one week) and only trafers in 2018. Due to a misunderstanding , I was expelled from the surf bus by very rude school manager. (Mistake from both side on meeting point) So, I’ve rated the school terrible due to rude management. (Small advice for management - if you hate tourists, it is not for you this job) I have checked TripAdvisor reviews for the school and they are a lot of bad rating around 22% ). Jungle Surf safari - is ok for 1 day trip if you are total bigginer. Otherwise, all coaches in the school are very good, but don’t have time to spend quality time with students as everyone take one or two days to surf. So, they do outstanding job given circumstances, plus they drive, load the trucks etc - everything :). If you want to learn how to surf I would look at schools with less rotation among students. (Check Nomad surfers etc)

Jag deltog i en dags surfing-lektion och guiden var väldigt duktig och tog sig tid med varje elev. Vi tog oss till en riktigt fin strand på västkusten och hade riktigt roligt! Det som drar ner betyget är att det var väldigt mycket väntan och dötid som hade kunnat användas till att vara i vattnet och fortsätta lära sig surfa. Dagen slutade dessutom drygt en timme tidigare än lovat vilket också var en besvikelse!

Ich kann das Surf Center nur weiterempfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder dort ein paar Stunden nehmen. Die beiden Coaches Maria und Pedro waren super cool und haben einem alles optimal erklärt. Nach ein paar Versuchen konnten die meisten von unserem Anfängerkurs (insg. 14 Leute) schon kleine Wellen regelmäßig stehen. Dabei haben die Coaches so gut es geht im Wasser unterstützt und Tipps gegeben. Ich hatte vorher die Erwartungen das man so gut wie keine Welle geritten bekommt, aber das war zum Glück nicht so :) Noch als kleine Ergänzung. An dem Strand an dem wir surften waren auch noch zwei andere Surfschulen im Wasser. Jede Schule steckt sich einen eigenen Bereich ab. Die anderen Schulen waren jeweils Gruppen von ca. 30 Leuten und es war bei denen immer viel zu voll im Wasser, wodurch die Leute sich gegenseitig behindert haben und es sah nicht wirklich nach Spaß aus.

Hat super Spaß gemacht. Preis Leistung völlig in Ordnung. Die coaches Pedro und Maria waren sehr nett und helfen einem sehr und geben super Tipps. Gute Organisation. Im Laden wurden wir auch sehr freundlich behandelt und es wurde uns alles erklärt

Le personnel est sympathique. J'allais revenir pour réserver 5 jours en leçons privées....Le propriétaire du magasin était arrivé. Non seulement il a réussi à dégoûter ma femme, mais en plus il a été très malhonnête et virulent. J'ai annulé le tout et suis parti dans une autre école. Les prix pratiqués sont beaucoup trop élevé, vous ne recevez qu'un simple sandwich pour manger alors que les autres écoles vous offrent un véritable repas. Ma femme ne voulant pas surfer mais juste être sur la même plage, il fallait payer 25 Euros en plus....Du vol légal !!!! Toutes les Autres écoles viennent vous chercher chez vous. Ici non, même à 1 km du lieu de départ. Un conseil, n'y allez pas. J'ai trouvé des écoles bien meilleures et plus sympathiques pour moins cher.

Wanted to buy cloth worth 200 € but got kicked out from the store manager in a very rude way because we were changing to often. He didn't offer his help before, not even said hello when we got in to the store. "It's my money not yours." he said, "don't talk to me that way", he said. My money could be yours but I spent it elsewhere, where I were welcomed in the kind of way I'm use to in Portugal.

Organised a 1 day surf lesson with these guys and had a brilliant day, the instructor was amazing, really picked up on everything and had me standing up by the end of the day.

No lessons only board hire but great selection of high quality short boards over in new shop and no quarms renting and returning. We thought the price was reasonable too.

Sehr schlechte Erfahrung mit dem Besitzer des Stores. Wir hatten den Wetsuit am Strand vergessen und unsere Freunde waren auf der Suche. Der Besitzer wurde deswegen extrem aggressiv und laut mit Parolen wie: "Ihr seid nicht in eurem Land", "Schau mich nicht so an"und "Ihr wollt nur den Wetsuit klauen".

These guys are awesome. I didn't take a lesson but the rental was perfect. No struggle exchanging boards or extending. Good advices and really friendly.

The surf instructors were great-- gave everyone some one on one help and were very encouraging. You could tell that wanted everyone to do well. Thanks for a great day guys!

Great and friendly instructors who paid close attention to everyone in the group - there were 2 groups with 5 people each. At the end of the lesson everybody could stand on the board and catch some waves.

Best surf shop & surf school as well and one of best deal accommodation luz surf village . All solution from first- hand . Thx at Marco and Team

The group was too big. The counselling wasn't really satisfactory. There were 21 students in the water while the teachers stayed on the beach and just blew the wistle when one student was too far away. The first instruction was good but besides this there wasn't much guidance.

We had 1 day surf school. It was very great! At the end we were able to stand on the board and ride the waves. Highly skilled, friendly and cool surf teacher focused on everyone. We were eight people and that's also the maximum for one teacher. Transportation to beach and back again included, lunchpacket also.

We booked starter lessons for 1 day. The guide seems to be friendly & expierienced. But there were too many people. Everytime I get hit by another board. After the good intro our guides cares more about the girls in our course. So I don't get much support. Tip: bring a umbrella or tent with you. We were 7 hours in burning sun.

It was very, very good. Everyone was friendly and the service was excellent, the surfteacher brought us every morning to the beaches. We will come back.
