Terrible experience at Lagos post office! Chaos is the best word to describe the place. The locals started to get a bit disgruntled when the staff (Gloria & Eduardo) weren't using the number system, and Gloria just started shouting back at everyone. One individual asked Eduardo for a complaint book as it was so disorganized. Eduardo read the complaint and responded aloud that the information 'was incorrect'. All I wanted to do was pay a toll for using the motorway and this is currently the only way it can be done right now, which is ridiculous in this day and age! Avoid if you can!!

I had a gift package delivered from USA to Lagos. It arrived in Lisbon on Jan 21st, I was in Lisbon that day so i went to this location to check if i can pick my parcel. I went to the office and was told that the parcel has just arrived and i cant pick it today after being told that i have to fill this custom form and mail it to the them after I receive a letter in the mail. I contacted the CTT through their website and was sent a black form to fill it up, after 4 back and forth they told me they have the completed form but never gave me info on how long it will take before they can deliver my parcel. Over 3 weeks i emailed them couple of times with no definite answer, i was being told they are backed up and its going to take some time to process my parcel. I told them i will be leaving Portugal in a week as my visa is expiring. After no definitive response i decided to take a 4 hr bus to Lisbon to check on the status again, and with printed receipt of the items in the parcel and the form i sent them 3 weeks ago the guy brings my parcel to my surprise without asking much. I had tears in my eyes as i have been waiting on this parcel for many days from my parents. If you are getting a package delivered to Portugal be prepared to make a trip to the Lisbon CTT Customs delegation Parcel Post office to pick it up as they wont deliver it to Lagos. Make sure you print the receipts of the items you are getting delivered as they will ask for it. The employees in Lagos office couldn’t provide any information other than that I will be receiving the form in mail to fill up for customs. Even after picking up my package 2 mths ago, the CTT case employee still sends me email that my paperwork isn’t enough to get my package delivered from Lisbon. Avoid getting anything delivered if possible.

I had to purchase some stamps for postcards to send, and was gritting my teeth for the worst when I saw these reviews - but there’s a stamp dispenser and letterboxes outside that has instructions in English. Phew.

Absolutely rubbish. Queues and staff walking about like zombies, taking ages to do anything. Sack them and employ workers not wasters.

As Senhoras no balcao muito grosseiras. Extremamente mau serviço, você tem que esperar uma hora para ser chamado, mesmo se as senhoras no balcao não está ocupadas. Você nunca vai receber informação neste correios, os senhoras no balcao nunca sabem nada. Pior dos piores lugares, onde você tem ir pagar conta ou receber o correios.

Extremely bad service by the ladies at the counter at least 10 people waiting and only one serving at times whilst other staff talking on their mobile or chatting amongst each other! Saw 5 people working there whilst there and not enough of them serving. Mário who helped was quite helpful in the end after waiting more than 30 mins to be served. Would not go back!

Ce CTT fait banque également donc armée vous de patience. Car ils prennent leur temps. Choisissez un ticket a l entrée et si vous parlez pas Portugais tant pis pour vous . Vous pourrez payer votre peage autoroute ici. Mais seulement en cash . Il ne prenne pas la carte Lol

Quite rude! Wanted to send a small package home and the two clerks acted like it was a huge annoyance. Wouldn't help me at all. Not a good impression.

No assistance and when I made it to the counter a grudging acceptance of my need to be helped. The people seeking assistance that were local apparently weren't in any hurry to get their errands done and go. Damn us foreigners spending our money and interfering in a well earned unproductive day!

Na página diz que é aberto das 09:00 às 18:00. Fui la as 12:40 estava fechado. Depois outro dia as 13:30 fechado. Outra vez as 14:00 e tambem fechado. Se fecham a hora do almoço penso que deveriam colocar o horario de funcionamento certo. Além de perder tempo indo lá, quando consigo atendimento as pessoas que la trabalham principalmente mulheres, atendem os clientes super mal.

O atendimento é muito lento. A maior parte das vezes que me dirigi a este serviço encontrei os funcionários a falarem mais da vida pessoal com os clientes do que estarem preocupados no atendimento dos clientes. Um simples levantamento de encomenda ou um deposito bancário demoraram em ambos os casos para cima de 50min o que é inadmissível tanto tempo de espera.

Precisei de ligar para o posto de correios. Tocou tocou mas ninguém atendeu.

The lady that works at the desk with the curly hairs and glasses is useless, I went there to send some letters I was the only one she told me I had to take another number and could not serve me, and in the meantime when the crowd increased instead to do her job properly she was just chatting with her colleague and messing around slowly without doing the job properly

Came here on a Monday. Have to disagree with the reviews. Was helped within 10 minutes, the man behind the counter was very nice and helpful.

Really slow. r E A L L Y slow. An hour to get to the window. Maybe more. One person maybe two working. Bad service. Avoid. I'll add on visit number two it took two hours. They took every local first. I was the last person at 6 pm. They took everyone else and the woman made fun of me because I could not get an A ticket out of the machine even though I showed the nicer man that the machine was broken. Really really really horrible and I'm sorry I had this experience. Worst humans in Portugal in the post office. Avoid!

Infelizmente vou ter de concordar com os restantes comentários, o serviço é péssimo. A Sr. Glória atendeu 2 pessoas em 50 minutos, ficando a olhar para o éter e a sorrir para as mais de 30 pessoas em espera , sem fazer nada. Trabalho muito ingrato para o colega que tentava atender os clientes de uma forma rápida e eficiente.

Banque ET post. J'y suis allé pour des timbres. Il y a un système à l'extérieur avec un distributeur de timbre. La difficulté : il faut impérativement le compte juste !

Estou farta com services deles, a uma semana que tenho encomenda e ninguém me avisou nem é deixaram o aviso na caixa de correio.

Customer service, common courtesy and common sense are unknown concepts at Lagos' main post office. Perhaps that's a result of the complacency that often comes from government cradle-to-grave job security. Perhaps they just don't like foreign tourists. The clerk I dealt with was a Gloria M. I asked her about their Western Union policy and was told that their post office will NOT deal with WU transfers unless the customer can produce a Portuguese Fiscal Number. I explained to Gloria M. that I was just a tourist and would be very unlikely to have a Portuguese Fiscal Number. I also explained that I'd contacted Western Union and was told that the only ID ever required is a valid passport. Her response was that if I didn't like the rules, then ' ... go somewhere else'. My God!!! Is that how Lagos postal employees speak to customers???? Later on, I had to return for stamps. Gloria M. was the only clerk on duty. She was busy with a customer when she looked up and saw me. Since I was the only other customer there - AND I had my numbered ticket at the ready - I assumed I'd be served next. Five minutes later in came two other women and NOT to my surprise Gloria M. beckoned them over first. At this point her colleague appeared and as soon as she saw me she began repeating, 'Nobody here speak English! Nobody here speak English! Nobody here speak English!' Finally, Gloria M. was prepared to sell me stamps. However, her colleague sitting less than a meter away was still in 'mantra mode', so I asked Gloria M., 'Do you speak English?' OMG!!! B-i-g mistake!! She started shouting that I should KNOW she speaks English because I'd dealt with her earlier. However, her colleague - who had ordered me to 'Take a number!' [which by any definition is English] when I first entered the post office earlier - was still going on with 'Nobody here speak English!' So did that mean Gloria M. was a nobody who did speak English or that Gloria M. was a somebody who did not speak English?! The whole experience at this post office yesterday bordered on being surreal!!!

Horrible service! I payed 30 € for a travel time for 2 - 3 days two weeks ago. The packaging is still not arrived. Shame on you! The whole company is a big joke. Do you know, what the meaning of working is?

The most horrendous experience I have had since travelling Europe. The staff could not be more rude to tourists who know little Portuguese. Would absolutely not reccomend going here at all, unless you want to be humiliated in front of a room full of people, and spoken about in Portuguese to their colleagues. Horrible woman behind the counter with a short haircut, reddish-blonde hair. Even for a post card, I was scolded for "writing too much" and thrown 3 stamps for 2 cards.. when I asked which stamp was for what country, she stood up and said "oh my god! It is not hard". My advice to you, lady with short reddish-blonde hair, perhaps consider working in a location that is not bound to be populated with tourists who are more than likely not going to speak Portuguese, if it really is that frustrating. Also keep in mind that if it wasn't for tourism, a small coastal town like Lagos would have no need for such a big post office for you to work in. When people are polite to you it is right to treat them with the same respect. Especially when they're seeing you for help. I truly hope no body experiences the horrible customer service this woman has to offer.
