Sophie Woods: My partner and I ate at Soho Coffee in the departure lounge for breakfast ahead of our return flight to the UK. As there were only a handful of flights departing that day the lounge was virtually empty, and we were served quite quickly. I ordered an Americano with my avocado, and my partner a Coke Zero and some pancakes. But what made this experience so great was not what we ordered, but what some other customers ordered after us. It was an American group, who were all over the place when ordering. They were over-pronouncing words to the staff as if they were deaf when in actual fact quite a few of them had relatively good English. One woman said she wanted an Americano coffee, asking “do you know what that is?” to a man stood below a menu that included such beverage. “Yes, I do. Would you like one?” he said. “Two” she said, holding up two fingers and mouthing it in such a way that was blatantly rude. “Sure thing,” he said. She returned to the table, only after picking up a couple of bottles of ketchup. And a short time later, their ‘Americano’s’ were ready to pickup. Instead of being served in the usual way, as mine was, the man making the drinks (not the same man who took the order, a different one), went overboard with whipped cream and sugar on top. I didn’t notice this at first, but my partner did and said the staff were messing with them. They hadn’t asked for their drink to be topped off like this, but I didn’t think they would do this. But then another person ordered an Americano, they weren’t American, and it was served in the usual way, ie a cup with no whipped cream and sugar sprinkled all over it. It was hilarious. Anyway, our food was great. Our drinks were good. The service we received was excellent. And the entertainment was priceless.

Foi a melhor compra... nada de especial. Você pode dizer isso depois do Natal porque as prateleiras estão meio vazias, o novo inventário está sentado em paletes no meio da loja e os associados evitam você como se você tivesse a peste. O caixa foi o primeiro associado com quem falei, e eu estive na loja por mais de 30 minutos. Por favor, não pense que os estou a esmagar. Eu não.... a pressa do Natal realmente tira isso do pessoal do varejo e leva algum tempo para se recuperar.

Eu venho fazendo compras aqui há alguns anos e gostaria de gastar dinheiro aqui, pois há sempre alguma coisa legal. ENTÃO, hoje o homem que trabalha no balcão disse à minha mulher que ela não podia entrar porque ela tinha um saco de compras. Quando ela lhe perguntou se ela parecia uma ladra, ele respondeu que sim, com um saco de compras que ela tinha!!! Nós não fomos adolescentes aleatórios com mochilas. Estou muito ofendido e provavelmente nunca mais vou fazer compras aqui e vou dizer a todos que sei que todos são suspeitos de serem ladrões nesta loja. Como é que vais estar no centro comercial e obrigar as pessoas a deixarem os sacos de compras à porta? BSRUDE.
