Considering some experiences that I had in Quinta das Relvas I should recommend it as an amazing place. First of all, the owners are a great profissionals and always trying to give their best even in the simpliest situation. Second, the quarters have very good conditions in terms of comfort, leisure and privacy. Regarding Quinta das Relvas organization in relation to international projects like ERASMUS + they are very arranged and helpful to solve eventual issues and also trying to understand the participants personal and technical feelings. Beyond this, all the work that have been done in their area are remarkable once they have a farm so well managed considering the natural resources that they have wich have been allowed the establishment of many species of fauna and flora. Thus, I would consider Quinta das Relvas as one of the best spots of biodiversity in the area around. The directors of Quinta das Relvas Association are to be congatulated for all the effort and passion that placed in this eco farm. In short, they are an efective example of how to monatize a place being sustainable and respecting the natural world.. and at this time this approaches are each day more urgent and important for the health of the planet.

We had a wonderful and restful night in one of the large/permanent tents. Fresh spring water straight from the fountain. Comfortable beds. A well equipped kitchen. An overall lovely stay.

Went there twice to attend illustration workshops (YETI). The place is beautiful and Beatriz, António and the rest of the volunteers were always helpful and easy-going.

O projecto erguido pelos donos é extremamente louvável e inspirador. Faz absolutamente jus ao cenário envolvente. Imergir naquela floresta "mágica" envolve-nos numa paz indescritível. Os donos, dois jovens absolutamente empenhados na preservação total daquele paraíso, desenvolvem todas as atividades sem agredir o meio ambiente. Com determinação, inteligência e bom senso têm posto a Quinta das Relvas no mapa da sustentabilidade. E com amor, também.

A criatividade, a preocupação pela valorização do espaço ambiental e a forma entusiasta como o trabalho em equipa decorre são motivos para voltar a repetir a experiência.

Participei em duas formações (construção em terra e telhado verde) na Quinta das Relvas e fiquei apaixonada pelo local. É sem dúvida um espaço a visitar, com imensas actividades de qualidade, que preza o respeito pela biodiversidade, pela Natureza, pelo ciclo natural e pela criatividade. Os anfitriões sabem receber e fazem com que este espaço transmita a verdadeira sustentabilidade ambiental. Grata à Beatriz e ao António pela maravilhosa experiência... será sempre um "até já".

I’ve enjoyed every single moment at Quinta das Relvas. The hosts are lovely easy-going people. My 2-year old loved exploring the place and playing with the farm animals. As an artist, I see this place as an oasis for creativity and self-improvement. Dear Beatriz and António, thank you for such wonderful moments!

This is a young project and venue that is improving every month. The owners put their hearts and souls into it, creating a sustainable activity center. The challenges are many and on a daily basis, the way they overcome them is what makes Quinta das Relvas keep growing into a fantastic project. Visit it!

I came for an artist residency and the owner Antonio & Beatriz have abusive behaviors and are very aggressive. Ironically, they are not very welcoming to artists/people. I flew from Paris to attend the residence. Antonio ended up kicking me out as well as another woman at past 6pm after less than 24 hours there. Within an hour, he forced confrontation in aggressive ways several times, under the hat that he is the owner, has the authority around there, and needed to know if we were staying or going (because the residency was not at all performances as promised, but social work). The only thing he offered me at first, was to stay by paying between 15 to 35 euros a night - if I wanted to stay and still sleep there. (To me, art should be about happiness. And our working conditions should be light and tolerant, open. This is my opinion. Especially with the ((I can say... false)) advertising expressed by them on their website and through talking with them ) The residency itself was completely miscommunicated in terms of art creation. He ended up kicking me & another artist out. I had nowhere else to go & sleep that night (he knew it 100%). And he refused for no apparent reason to help us / to drive us back to the train station as he had done to pick me up at my arrival. He also insulted me for no purpose or reason during our confrontations. Such a bad experience and money-driven. Verbally abusive owners and no hospitality, toxic energy.
