Kabra Velha is a great place to enjoy high quality Portuguese wines. The host offers an enlightening journey through the traditional Portuguese flavors. For snacks, typical products of the most varied complement the wine tasting.

Most amazing para petiscar style dinner. Small place with a wonderful owner. A must place to enjoy a typically Portugais array of foods. The squid with peppers was so good the sausage dish amazing. The owner is knowledgeable in wines and food. I have no photos because I couldn’t stop tasting to take a picture. so great it’s all gone!

Nice cute wine bar. The food menu is not diverse but really tasty. The owner who serves is really passionate about his food and provides an enjoyable experience.

Fabulous venue for anyone who truly intends to enjoy local Portuguese specialties accompanied by interesting wines. The owner will most definitely tell you some things you did not know before about the wines, cheeses or in most cases both. Above all, he is completely honest and not afraid to let the costumer know that he has an alternative opinion. This leads to open conversations on any subject, including beer which luckilly his place does not focus on as our opnions were quite different ;-). Please do yourself a favour and have a look here.

Amazing wine and cheese. But that is not the most important thing, the most important is the very passionate owner who knows and tells a lot. We've learned a lot in just a few hours. I would recommend this as a must do in Coimbra to anyone!!

Fantastico. Rapporto qualitá prezzo 10. Una perlina in una vietta bellissima di Coimbra. In Italia per la degustazione avrei pagato il triplo. 12 euro 3 tipi diversi di vino abbinati a 3 diversi vini. L'oste super gentile. Molto raccomando

We had a wine and cheese tasting and it was just wonderful! The owner is super nice, he knows everything about his wines, the quality of the wines and the food was outstanding. Definitely recommend a visit to everyone!

What a wine bar. Get the three cheese and wine for starters and go from there. Owner was fantastic at explaining all the wines and ports were drank. Could not recommend enough.

Bruno Is really the best host you can meet, he drove us in a very intresting wine tasting according to our request, makeing us try different kind of wines and choose which one we liked more. Great cheeses and tuna páté. Kind, friendly, and Is visible he really loves his job, that's best thing ever! Highly raccommended if you visit Coimbra.

Posticino semplice in apparenza ma qualità e simpatia sono di casa , non il solito ristorantino. Ottimo vino e cibo. Polpo con cannellini e baccalà e ceci proprio da gustare. Vino sublime.
Il proprietario è veramente affabile e poliglotta. Ne vale la pena.

Piccola bottega situata nel cuore di coimbra, all'ingresso può ingannare il banco gastronomico: ricco di selezioni di formaggi e salumi ma dopo due passi ci si accorge di essere in un enoteca. Vi accoglierà Bruno, il titolare, persona preparatissima e poliglotta: serve vini eccezionali accompagnandoli a prodotti del posto, tutto di altissima qualità. Parlare con lui di vino è un piacere. Consiglio il percorso degustazione e l'acquisto di bottiglie di porto, che si può comprare a prezzi modici portando a casa bottiglie straordinarie. Tappa d'obbligo!

We visited here yesterday, this really was the highlight of our trip so far. Bruno was so warm and welcoming and he spent time explaining everything to us - to have walked in randomly from the streets and had that experience was very special! The wines are delicious and very tasty cheeses. He also cooked delicious food for us. Spend an evening here if you can! Can't recommend enough!!

Highly recommendable for every winelover coming to the sweet town of Coimbra! The place was cozy and little so the owner had time to talk with all the customers and share his knowledge and passion for the great portuguese wines. We also loved all the cheeses served with the wine. Great quality at a very affordable price!

Convinti dalle recensioni positive e spinti dalla voglia di provare qualcosa di "poco turistico", io ed il mio ragazzo ci siamo recati in questo piccolo locale per un aperitivo. L'insegna fuori pubblicizza una degustazione vini e formaggi a 12€ a persona. Siamo stati più che fortunati, non c'era nessuno quindi nessun problema a trovare un tavolo (sono 4-5 non di più) e l'oste a nostra completa disposizione. Il viaggio che abbiamo percorso è stato attraverso 3 tipi diversi di vino e di formaggio, tutti della zona, illustrati in modo eccellente. Ma ci siamo trattenuti per gustare anche 3 tipi di Porto diversi ed un paio d'ore sono volate! Ricapitolando 2 degustazioni vini+formaggi e 4 bicchieri di Porto + una scatolina di cioccolatini di un'artista locale per € 48.50. Assolutamente ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, gentilezza, disponibilità e competenza da ammirare. Non è un locale per una cena più per un'aperitivo. Andateci!!

Con 12€ offre una degustazione di tre differenti vini è una selezione di formaggi. Proprietario molto attento alle esigenze e alle richieste dei clienti.
Ambiente molto piccolo ma accogliente con buona musica in sottofondo.

We spent a wonderful afternoon on the terrace at Kabra Velha. Bruno was so welcoming and very knowledgable about his products. We learnt a lot about the beautiful Portuguese vinho verde and ate some delicious local produce.

We stopped there for wine and cheese tasting, and we weren't disappointed! The owner was really nice, explained us all about Portuguese vineyards, and matched cheese perfectly to the wine tasting. It serves with delicious olive oil and honey, and was truly a great culinary experience!

Stopped by for a tasting of local wines and cheeses and ended up learning a lot about wines and Portugal wine regions.
The owner is really knowledgeable and will take its time to make sure the pairings work well and to understand what you like.
Definitely recommend this place and will come back if we ever are again in Coimbra :)

Stopped by for some wine tasting and owner gave us a very interesting and informative session or introduction into ports. After that we tasted some vintage port and it was amazing. DK Tawny 30 years old port was a hit. If you are looking for interesting experience this is the place to visit
