Leider ganz schlechte Erfahrungen mit OK Rent a Car Faro gemacht. Wir wurden leider in Faro vom Team "OK Rent a car" abgezockt. Kreditkarte trotz Deckung wird nicht akzeptiert. So muss man eine zusätzliche Versicherung abschließen. So kommen zu den beim Vermittler (Carnect - Driveboo; Mietwagencheck.at) bereits bezahlten € 113,88 noch € 208,92 dazu oder wir hätten mit dem Taxi zum Flughafen zurückfahren können - ohne Mietwagen! Auf google.maps sind zahlreiche ähnliche Beschwerden nachzulesen. Das Verkaufsteam spielt mit den Kunden ein perfektes Spiel. Das ist eingespielt und wird scheinbar als Zubrot verwendet und die Hilflosigkeit der Touristen wird peinhart ausgenutzt. Wir können nur jedem Kunden der ähnlich schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht hat raten sich an einen Rechtsanwalt zu wenden! Hands Off! Very cheap eyecatching offers but tons of hidden costs, latest at car pick up. Especially when crossing borders there appear very costly but mandatory incurances. These costs are not communicated and well hidden. IF you find them they are only unclearly described. Absolutely not recommendable rent a car!

Excellent. Nice new vehicle, I had a new WV Polo. Friendly customer care. Everything explained with no flannel. The only problem for me was finding the pickup point for the transfer coach. This could be explained better in the details. The pick up minibus comes to the airport near the departures exit but just outside the traveller's lodge cafe. I would recommend this company.

TO AVOID PROBLEMS AVOID THEM - thieves, dishonest and amateurs. 1st after buying and paying my reserve online where I also purchased full insurance waiver, I arrived at the airport and went to the pick up place. Waited for nearly 1 hour an no signs of the transfer. Had to get on a Taxi. 2nd When arrived at their premises, I was forced to buy their insurance ( extra £200) otherwise I would have to leave a deposit of £1200. 3rd Left the car on the 2/1/2020 and until today my deposit was not refunded. 4th I am trying to reach them but unfortunately none of their contact numbers is available. I will never again use their services even if they were free. AVOID THEM

Surprise à l’arrivé , payant quelque des choses en plus de ce qui était prévue . Attention à vos réservation avec les carte bleu débit ou crédit bien lire les informations avant de réserver votre voiture sur internet car les carte de débit ne seront pas accepter . Je tien a remercier Ricardo pour sont professionnalisme qui était au comptoir l’or de la réception de la voiture pour ma part . En revanche je suis toujours en attente de mon remboursement de 90eu (plein de carburant) qui devait être effectuer 3 jours après restitution de la voiture dans leurs agence .

BEWARE: THIS COMPANY CHANGES NAMES EVERY YEAR. THIS IS A SCAM!!! I scheduled a pick up at 9pm. My flight got delayed to Lisbon, I tried to get a hold of them since 7pm to notify the issue and arrange the pick up with no success. Ended up going to the office and they were closed. Called the next day to arrange pick up and they claimed "the pickup could not be rearrange". DO NOT USE THEM! THEY ARE PRO CRIMINALS.

Read the T&Cs carefully. I lost my driver licence during my flight from London to Faro. Even though I showed OKRentacar my driver licence, they refused to hand me the booked car. Although, I become very frustrated with the outcome, I asked for a refund and the company said "please speak to Expedia". Spoken to Expedia on the next day, and they said that they were "just a website" and I would have to deal with OkRentaCar directly. After 3 months of emails, and continuos "pass the monkey". My bank refused my dispute as OKRentaCar T&Cs. So, I'm not giving them a one start as I understand the rules around the driver licence, but nothing was done other than taking my money for a 15 days car hire. I not recommend this company to anyone, as so Expedia foe they poor "we're a just a website" customer experience,

Alugamos o carro para viagem a Espanha com seguro premium internacional. O carro avariou-se em Espanha, tentamos ligar uma hora para assistência e o número geral. Chegou o reboque, ficamos com toda a nossa bagagem na rua! Já três horas estamos à espera na rua com bagagem resolução do problema. Já ligamos varias vezes e os funcionários sempre dizem esperar e esperar. Esperar o que?!!! Nos temos planos, temos bilhetes para museum, temos reservas próximas nos hotéis.. E estamos aqui na rua sem NENHUMA INFORMAÇÃO E NENHUM CONTACTO POR PARTE DA OK RENT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We rented a car on 28th October until 10th November. We were expecting the worst as car hire is known for its hard sell. The pick up vehicle at airport took us to the car straight away. We expected to be harassed as we had our own excess insurance policy but, they just asked if we needed insurance, we showed our policy and they moved on. The guy who checked the car out asked us to walk around with him to make sure we were happy. On returning the car, there were no problems, and as soon as the paperwork was done we were taken back to the airport. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. As long as they keep their customer service like this they will be on to a winner. Have and will recommend. We are frequent Algarve visitors.

The booking was straight forward however when I went to pick up the car, the lady was pushing me to take out extra insurance although I had already taken out what was full insurance cover. I made sure every scratch was recorded on the sheet despite her saying it didn't matter if it was small because at drop off they inspected it closely!!

My review that I typed was about 2000 characters too long! But the message is that this is a terrible company that fakes invoices and takes money from people's account without telling them what it is for then ignores them for months. I have been trying to get this resolved for nearly two months and not any further forward and am currently owed about £400! Also you have to feel, yes FEEL the car for scratches. I was charged for a scratch that the staff member felt UNDERNEATH the bumper of the car. They have also taken money from my account for fuel even though I returned it with a full tank. The staff will argue that they haven't even when you show them your statement. AVOID!!!

nicht so ganz leicht erreichbar, weil direkt an der autobahn ( schnellstrasse). sehr günstig über check24 einen fiat 500 gebucht. wie alle anderen autovermieter, wollen sie dir eine exra versicherung andrehen. wenn man diese ablehnt und sich nicht dazu überreden lässt, dann ist das wirklich günstig.

Shameless stealing money from clients, and shameful customer relationship. I have never seen that type of people who take your money without any information. Read and picture every step, every letter, everything! Watch out for every step of your reservation and don't agree with any change, cause every change take your money out of your wallet without notice. I regret that they're the first people I met in Portugal. Simply bypass them.

PLUS JAMAIS ! Très mauvaise expérience avec « ok rent a car ». - plus d’une heure d’attente de la navette, à l’aéroport. Personne ne répond au téléphone. - personnel exécrable qui nous pousse à prendre des assurances supplémentaires (alors qu’on avait déjà prit le maximum des assurances sur internet) - GROSSE arnaque avec frais supplémentaires: ils nous donnent la voiture avec le plein d’essence et on doit la rendre avec le plein. Normal jusque là, sauf qu’on nous fait payer ce plein 119€ !!! (Pour une fiat 500...) en plus du plein que l’on a payé en rendant la voiture (47€ à la station près de l’aéroport.) Donc on a payé les deux pleins. INADMISSIBLE !!! - autre point négatif: ils nous ont donné une voiture automatique (alors qu’on avait précisé qu’on voulait une manuelle) et ceci, sans nous expliquer comment s’en servir ! Fuyez, et réservez chez quelqu’un d’autre.....

I do not recommend. Everything is different after we book online. It's very cheap when we book, but they double the price at the office. They increased the insurance and charged me 150 € of fees. After a month, I'm still waiting for a refund of this money. Not a trust company

Avoid this hire service, after booking with car jet ( comparison site) I can honestly say there has been absolutely no customer service. Typically we read very mixed reviews but how could you beat £180 pounds for 10 days for a nissan duke with "their insurance" you can't however; *They will charge you an out of hours fee which isn't indicated on the website ( around £50) *They will charge you a fuelling fee even though you pay for full to full, so just for the curtsy they charge you £29 * Your deposit is £1,400 which is also not stated on the site, we thought maybe a couple of hundred After reading about horror stories about the company we decided to book with another ( Avis) who were a bit more but honestly they were there at the air port and contactable! Unsurprisingly after arriving at arrivals and walking outside at 10 pm there was no "transfer" to be seen even whilst having a front seat view from the Avis office for the completion of our other booking so imagine if we had no other option. I have tried contacting both Ok car hire through their numbers, email and a branch in Spain with facebook messenger that have bounced me back to car jet who sent me back to them. Absolute WASTE of money and con artists who allegedly push their insurance on you. Since being here we have heard absolutely nothing back from them in regards to this or the fact we didn't collect our booking.

You will be charged extra — no matter if you booked in advance & were told on the reservation there were no hidden fees. You will be charged either €200+ for insurance or have a €1,050 deposit held on your account. And even if a card is accepted to make your booking, it won’t be when you arrive. This place is an absolute scam.

LAMENTABLE ET ESCROQUERIES. J’ai été débité à deux reprises de la location. J’ai du contacter 8 fois l’agence de location de Faro afin que la navette vienne me chercher. Un goujat m’a récupéré à l’aeroport 1h30 après mon arrivée sans même m’aider à porter ma valise pour la ranger dans le coffre et qui m’a demandé de m’asseoir sur strapontin dans le coffre. L’embrayage du véhicule de location a lâché au bout de trois jours. Je me suis retrouvée seule en pleine montagne. J’ai contacté pendant 4h le numéro d’assistance. Aucun interlocuteur ne parlait français malgré l’option annoncé par téléphone. Après 5h d’attente j’ai du contacter la police car aucune assistance et la nuit qui tombait. J’ai alors reçu un sms de mon opérateur téléphonique français m’informant que je venais de dépasser de plus de 100€ mon forfait et que je ne pouvais plus contacter de numéro portugais. Attention, le numéro d’assistance est PAYANT et SURTAXE. Une honte !!! Le dépanneur est arrivé 1h après l’appel de la police, soit au total 6h d’attente au bord d’une nationale déserte, en montagne et forêt. C’est moi qui ai communiqué au dépanneur ma position via whatapp car l'assistance n’a même pas pris la peine de le lui communiquer. L’assistance se trouve en Espagne et les interlocuteurs ne parlaient que cette langue. Après ces 6h d’attente, de retour à l’agence ok Rent a car de Faro, une employé fort mal aimable et grossière ( femme d’une cinquantaine d’année) m’a accusé d’avoir cassé l’embrayage du véhicule. J’ai le jour même été prélevé de 900€. J’ai dû batailler pour obtenir un véhicule de remplacement. Une nouvelle caution de 900€ a été bloqué le jour même sur mon compte bancaire. L’etat des lieux du second véhicule a été fait dans le noir ( nuit tombée) et sans que l’employé ne contrôle l'intérieur du véhicule car pressée de rentrer chez elle. Elle s’adressait à moi en me tournant le dos et ne répondait pas à mes questions. Aucune facture ne m’a été remise pour la réparation de l’embrayage (900€)qui m’a été facturé, sans compter 132€ pour l’essence qu’il manquait suite à la panne du premier véhicule. Cela fait 4 jours que j’envoi des mails à carflexi ( assurance) qui ne me tiens pas informé de la situation. Fuyez cette agence mais aussi carflexi par qui j’ai réservé en ligne. Aucun service rendu et belle escroquerie. 05/10 : on me répond ici même de contacter le service client, chose que j’ai déjà fait le 1/10 et aucune réponse à ce jour. Quelle belle considération pour vos clients ! Je ne compte pas en rester là ! NDV

Très mauvaise expérience. Premièrement nous avons attendu la navette pendant 55 min devant l'aéroport. Au bout de 20 min nous avons appelé l'établissement pour avoir plus d'informations et aucune réponse. Le pire vient ensuite. Une fois arrivé à l'agence, on nous demande une carte de crédit pour bloquer les 1500€ de caution. Ayant tous des cartes de débit (comme tout le monde), nous nous sommes vus imposer une assurance obligatoire à 70€. Impossible de payer un espèces ou autre moyen de paiement. Et voilà comment un service low cost finit par couter plus cher qu'une agence classique en aéroport. On ne nous y prendra plus...

Très mauvaise prise en charge. Nous sommes arrivés vendredi à 20h, aucune indication concernant la navette gratuite qui devait nous emmener à l'agence. Nous avons attendu 1h30 puis nous avons fini par prendre un uber. Une fois le véhicule récupéré, 10min après avoir roulé, un voyant nous signale qu'il faut vérifier le pneu arrière droit, qui crèvera finalement le lendemain. Nous retournons donc le lendemain pour changer de voiture, ce qui a été fait, après de nombreuses négociations. (Il faut noter, qu'un autre couple était revenu aussi à l'agence pour le même problème) Au retour, lorsque nous avons rendu la voiture, rebelote! Ils voulaient nous faire payer la caution de 1050e car il y avait une rayure qu'il n'y avait soit disant pas avant, alors que nous avions demandé de bien noter cette rayure lorsque nous avions récupérer le 2e véhicule. Je déconseille fortement cette agence !

Do not recommend... cheap online, but not at collection, so here are the extra costs you should consider: €119 - insurance is “optional” but ether make it unequivocally clear that they WILL find a way to charge you for a bump here or a engine problem there when you come back. The staff heard sell you horror stories of how they “today” charged someone for a burnt clutch, or a little dink. They purposefully try to scare you throughout to BULLY you into taking their insurance. If you don’t take it they will make mark every little dink already existing at pick up so that they can charge you at the end. I’ve never been forced to inspect a rental car so closet. To make it worse (and probably NOT within their rights), they tell you any photos at collection are pointless. Scare tactics from start to finish. €177 - for their “permission” (word used to describe to me) of you plan on crossing the border into Spain. Another good money spinner given Spain is one hour away. €12 - for toll key. I was actually ok with this one. NOW THE COLLECTION TIME!!! It takes over 1 hour of waiting to be served. Not because of too many people, but because it takes them 20 minutes to serve each customer. They argue and fight with customers to sell the extra and every customer is angry or has some grievance. Very tense environment. We arrived at the location at 9:45pm and only left at midnight. Rented many cars in many countries and never had such a stressful collection process. The staffs approach to selling extras is ruthless and relies on scaring you into submission on the promise that if you don’t buy, they will DEFINITELY get you later.

Cheaters with poor service. Avoid if possible. At the beginning they charged me for full tank, when actually after inspection it was only 20% full. I pushed them to send missing amount back. Car was provided with dirty cabin. Nobody cleans and cares. They have tried to cheat me for more than 70 Euros after rental finished and it took much efforts and help of the broker to push them to bring overcharged amount back. They have ignored my calls and e-mails. Terrible experience.

We waited 2 hours at the FARO Airport because the lady from the telephone wasn’t capable to tell where to stay! On the first call she sent us to the deprtures, on the second call to the arrivals. On the third nobody answer! So we called an Uber an go to their office! At the office ...nobody knows nothing! The pick up shuttle is not black or white like the lady from the call center told us! The shuttle is gray and it has a little stamp with “ok rent a car” witch is practically impossible to see! Strongly not recommend! There are a lot of other opportunities at the airport to rent a car! Avoid this company! We lost time and money thaks to OK Rent a Car and their good costumer services!

We returned the car and they told us that our deposit for the diesel and insurance would be credited on our Visa card account within three days. Now ten days later our visa account is still blocked for €1200 insurance plus the €100 for diesel. Unfortunately it is impossible to reach Ok rental on the telephone. None of the Portuguese, English or Spanish telephone numbers work. So there is no communication possible.

Really bad experience. We had a rental from 17th to 24th July and I have not received any deposit money since then. They didn't reply to emails, any possibility is to contact with OK Rent a Car by Facebook but it is also really unprofessional. They said that we had a locked money on credit card (900 euro) during our rental time and it is not true. They have charged me only for fuel tank (372,74 PLN) and now after one and half month we did not have our money back... After our rental was a small paint splatter and we saw that, it was marked on the protocol. Their employee said that they have would not be charged for that but then they charged me 191,97 EUR - I know that was a paint splatter and I accept it but they have sent me an invoice on almost 250 EUR and I do not know why. They can not explained it and I need damage report to insurance company and they can not sent me it. Really, really unprofessional! I did not expect such a bad experience after quite good start and brand new car (Fiat 500 with automatic gear).

The front of house staff (particularly the woman called Diane), were rude patronising and down right unprofessional. I do not expect THREE ACTUAL arguments and my intelligence to be insulted when I am simply hiring a car! You should address your front of house team, we were ignored for 45 minutes then insulted when we politely inquired as to why? I have never experienced customer service like it. The fuel charges were vaguely explained and when we informed them we did not entirely understand...again more patronising / insulting comments and turned backs! The car was "OK"...did the job, hence the above star...but shocking customer service, would never recommend or use again…avoid!”

Sorry to write this short complaint,but the website Economycar rental I booked the car through wrote me that I didn't have to pay the After hour charge. It was well written on the voucher.They charged me around 40 euros instead.I had to wait outside the airport for 30 minutes.Nobody turned up.Then I callled.Moreover, they did not take into account the 72 euros I had already paid through the aforementioned website. Everything is well documented.The answer was "Sorry you have to make the complaint with the website". So I started with renting a Fiat 500 at 107 euros per week and ended up with approx. 275,00.Very disappointed! Thank for your kind reply but unfortunately I'm still very disappointed of it. Maybe you have been too superficial and you have not read my email properly. As I wrote I had an official Voucher pre-paid and legally signed by the company you work with. I suppose you have enetred an agreement with them, so it is unfair, incorrect and illogical to reply by inviting me to read your General Conditions where it is specified that an after hour charge shall be applied. This document of yours comes after I booked through your website partner Economycarrental, hence has no contractual force and validity. The Voucher has full legal force otherwise you should tell your commercial partner that they cannot write and promise that and specify to customers that a possible AFTER HOUR CHARGE is included. The document I came there with is the one Economycarrental emailed me and that I had in my hands before having and reading your General Conditions document. I insiste on this also because nobody was there at the airport to pick us up. You were late. So why charge me for that? It is too easy to say ask for reimbursement to Economycarrental. Processed fairly quick by pleasant gentleman good car for the price one draw back couldnt find shuttle bus turns out it was a grey van with a 3inch sticker in the side window undetectable in a sea of hire cars taxis and well marked shuttle buses payed 12 euros in taxi

ARNAQUE !!! Cette agence n'acceptera pas de prélever de caution pour la voiture que vous louez sous prétexte que votre carte est une carte de débit. Cela est faux, ils vous forceront donc à leur régler une assurance complémentaire au prix fort. Il s'agit de vente forcée. Pas la peine de leur proposer de donner du cash ou de leur faire un virement instantané de la caution, ils ne prendront même pas en compte vos propositions. Tous les clients français derrière nous on eu le même cas. Nous avons déjà loué par OK Rent a car à lisbonne sans aucun problème. Il s'agit spécifiquement de l'agence de Faro !

Abbiamo noleggiato un auto per arrivare da Faro a Lagos. L'appuntamento era alle 10.30 all'aeroporto di Faro. Ci siamo recati lì con 10 minuti di anticipo e abbiamo cominciato a cercare il posto dove ritirare l'auto. L'unico modo per trovarlo è chiedere informazioni. Ci siamo recati lì e abbiamo scoperto che era necessario prendere uno shuttle organizzato dall'agenzia stessa, in quanto il punto di ritiro è a circa 2 km dall'aeroporto. Lo shuttle però è arrivato con un'ora di ritardo e non era facilmente riconoscibile in quanto si trattava di un furgoncino grigio con un adesivo minuscolo sul finestrino che abbiamo notato solo una volta dentro. Arrivati all'agenzia ci hanno consegnato un auto diversa da quella concordata. Tuttavia era in perfetto stato e pulita. Tutto il resto è andato bene, ma ci hanno fatto perdere tutta una mezza giornata della nostra vacanza ad attendere lo shuttle con l'ansia che non passasse mai più.

Very disappointed. I waited for half an hour outside the airport before they picked me up. My Emmanko AG Economy car rental voucher said there was no After hour surcharge: they charged me 41,00 euros and told me to address to the Economycarrental assistance for reimbursement which is impossible to contact. Moreover, on the voucher I had it was written that I had only to pay 93 euros at the counter.I paid 73,18 euros for the abovementioned booking.!! Watch out.

Der Transfer vom Flughafen zu OK Rent war i.O. Das Fahrzeug war sauber. Bei der Abgabe des Fahrzeuges kam das Personal 25 Minuten zu spät. Mehrere Kunden warteten vor dem Tor und es kam keine Entschuldigung vom Personal. Wir haben keine Quittung erhalten bzw. die Abgabe konnte nicht durchgeführt werden weil wir zum Flughafen mussten um den Flug nicht zu verpassen.

Un seul mot : FUYEZ ! La seule arnaque de notre séjour au Portugal ! Méfiez-vous du dépôt de garantie de 87€ concernant le plein de carburant que vous n'auriez pas fait en rendant le véhicule, il ne vous sera que partiellement remboursé même si vous remplissez le réservoir ! Le pire est que l'agence nous a loué la voiture avec une jauge au 3/4 seulement... Ne parlons pas de l'accueil absolument antipathique.

Super Service! Transfer vom Flughafen zur Mietstation und nach der Mietzeit auch zurück! Für einen Fiat 500, 10 Tage mit allem drum und dran 400,- (+Sprit) gezahlt. Kaution von 150,- und 68,70 wurde innerhalb von 3 Tagen wieder zurückgebucht. Personal freundlich und humorvoll. Geht auch ohne Kreditkarte. Vielen Dank, jederzeit gerne wieder!!!

The car that we rented was absolutely fine. The customer service however is terrible. When we were eventually met at the airport (after phoning the office and being hung up on) our complimentary shuttle bus was actually a very small car driven by the rudest woman in the world. She expected us all (family of four, one under 2 plus associated luggage) to squeeze in and to do it quickly as she only had 10 mins free parking. I won't be using them again.

Heb hier mijn auto ingeleverd. Personeel was niet echt vriendelijk. Men was kortaf (er kon geen goedemorgen vanaf). Bij afgifte van de auto in Lissabon had ik een aantal extra schades opgemerkt die men handmatig op mijn papier had aangeduid. Toen ik dit wilde uitleggen, werd ik afgeblaft en gezegd dat ik hen de auto moest laten controleren. Absoluut geen reclame qua klantvriendelijkheid...

Great experience throughout. Upon arrival at Faro airport after almost 3h delay, I called the office and they had stayed on after midnight to allow me to collect the car - what service! A few days later whilst returning the car I was immediately driven direct to the airport. Will return - thanks again.

La location est correct, nous avons eu une voiture neuve. Le seul soucis est que nous ne savions pas que le lieu de rendez vous était à l'aéroport, nous avons cherché un long moment. Mais nous avons appelé l'agence qui nous a expliqué le lieu de rendez vous. Je pense qu'ils sont nouveaux sur le marché et pas encore bien structuré.

absalutly disgusting woman who eventually picked my family up from airport after waiting for an hour not only took phonecalls while driving but drove with no hands while getting her phone out her handbag! then we were told they dont accept the insurance sold online from the same site as i hired the car and ither had to pay a deposit of 900 euros or pay there insurance og 119 euros! being stranded in an industrial area miles from the airport we had no choice but to pay there ransom!!! DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS IT HAS SPOILED THE WHOLE HOLIDAY FOR THE FULL FAMILY!!
