Sunday, June 16, 2019 (16/06/19) TLDR at the bottom. Terminal Rodoviário de Aveiro (Aveiro Bus Terminal) My wife and I had been staying in the coastal town of Furadouro, just north of here and we wanted to take a day trip to see Costa Nova, Barra, and of course Aveiro. Came down via train to the Aveiro station. We exited the back of the station and saw the new(?) bus terminal right across the street. The main reason for leaving the review is because we were here on a Sunday and the bus terminal was closed (building all locked up) at our buses scheduled departure time!? While we were obviously in the correct spot, we were really starting to question that! While walking to the main entrance of the bus terminal I had noticed an open gate near the train station. We were able to get into the bus area from there. Another bus company was picking up passengers. Our bus arrived at the scheduled time, we paid the driver directly for our tickets and we were able to enjoy our day! Bus companies names I noticed on the sign include: transdev, aveirobus, citi express, Rede expressos, internorte.pt, and TRANSPOSTAL. TLDR: The Aveiro Bus Terminal is open on the back side, even when the building is closed / locked. Enter via the gate near the train station. Believe your bus schedule and not the building’s hours. Obviously, don’t expect any services while the building is closed. As a bus stop, this is excellent. As a bus terminal, this place is strange.

Tem ótimas instalações e proporciona conforto aos passageiros que aguardam os autocarros. Penso que ainda poderia ser melhorado na perspetiva de sinalizar melhor os horários e viaturas que chegam. Ainda assim é uma mais valia para a cidade de Aveiro e os seus cidadãos.
