Uxa Paraíso, in Penela. The best place to have a cosy and warmful break from the daily life frenzy, surrounded by peaceful nature. A beautiful project built from scratch in the centre of Portugal that I was lucky enough to get to know this summer. I highly highly recommend it. Julien, the author and host, is taking glamping to another level. But don't take my words for it, go check it out! The challenge is on!

Un hotel diferente. Está muy bien. Nosotros dormimos en una caravana muy antigua pero perfectamente conservada. A los niños les encanta. La piscina es pequeña pero suficiente. Lo único malo es el acceso, un camino de tierra que hay tramos en mal estado.

Amazing place with amazing people. The location is beautiful, and everything is just about perfect. Had a great time with my family.

Uxa Paraiso is the perfect spot to have a break out of the city hectic life. Surrounded by eucalyptus, pines and olive trees, my family and I spent a very good stay in the tent. You will have the feeling to be back somehow in the 70’s. The concept is also eco friendly with good practices such as a permaculture’s garden. At last but not the least, Julien was a perfect host and was very happy to share his passion for this concept called Glamping!

Julien, the friendly founder and owner with a great sense of humor, really made this a magical place, that will make you forget time and age!

Sejour depaysant a souhait, meme pour les citadines comme nous pas tres à l'aise pour dormir trop près des ptites bestioles...là, perfect.... une tente hyper propre-et-qui-sans -bon-la-lessive, sans un gramme de poussiere en vue. La plateforme en bois sur laquelle repose la tenteoffre une vue imprenable et de surcroit, isole de tout risque d'humidité du sol. Matelas top confort, tente spacieuse pour nos 3 enfants et nous. Piscine a debordements, un must pour notre sejour caniculaire. Vivre en maillot/pareo avec baignades de Huit heures a minuit, le pied....Hôte très accueillant, authentique dans la relation avec ses convives. Amiance conviviale chargee de positif, on en repart ressourcé août 2018

Très bien! Juste qu'il n'y a qu'une pièce(tente) pour tout les lits et que les lits ne sont qu'en fait que de matelas au sol. La piscine est magnifique et le terrain tout autant. Le personnel est très gentil. Dommage qu'il n'y ait aucune table ou chaises par tante...Cuisine très bonne et l'ambiance installée est très sympathique !!

I will strongly recommend this beautiful place. Friendly and inspiring. We stayed here for our last night in Portugal. All six people in one tent all agreeing it was our best sleep here. The beds are comfy with thick duvets and soft pillows. Breakfast and coffee with all you can eat for 5 euro. During the night you can party under a rock only 200 m away from the camping area without worrying about noise. The Forrest in between works as a barrier so the sound does not reach the sleeping people. In the camping area you have to be quiet from 23.00 Words are not enough, see the pictures.

Staying at Uxa Paraiso was such a wonderful experience! It’s an amazing place with super friendly hosts and excellent facilities. It's the ideal place to have a quiet break away from the city. I want to recommend it to everyone but at the same time I feel like I want to be a bit selfish and keep it a secret and be able to go there again and enjoy it’s peacefulness :)

This place is truly near paradise! The surroundings are beautiful, you get out of your tent and can see green everywhere and a clear starry sky at night. We stayed at a tent for 5 and it was a magical night. The host is the most friendly person ever! He was always asking how we were and if we needed anything. There is a pool, a bar with food and drinks, clean bathrooms and showers, and a small kitchen with a small fridge to share with the rest of the guests in the hotel. Keep in mind there is no stove or microwave so if you take your own food make sure you don't need to cook it. This is a very safe and friendly place for everyone, with smiles and good vibes going around. Perfect for family trips with kids, a group of friends or your significant other. They are friendly with pets too! All around an awesome experience, definitely going to visit again!

What a nice piece of earth! Julien lives the dream of many! Having his own piece of land and bildung his own interpretation of hospitality! Podests with nice tents, old caravans and then there is this small but lovely pool! We were completely stoked by his vision! And soo jealous!! Bet here for dinner! Jenny is a genius Chef! A la votre!!

Welcoming open air hotel with an amazing host Julien. You can easily walk to penela for a bit to eat or the market on Thursdays. If you go to the market I recommend the chicken stall!
