Nett gelegener Stausee, nicht wirklich viel los. Jede Menge Single-Trails, die wir mit der Enduro dort gefahren sind. Es gibt immer wieder Stellen, die schöne Blicke auf den Stausee ermöglichen.
Wahrscheinlich könnte man tagelang rumfahren und hätte immer noch nicht alle Trails gesehen.
Die Staumauer ist nicht wirklich spektakulär, aber man hat einen netten Blick ins Tal und man kann ohne Absperrungen alles anschauen.

Accès plutôt compliqué : un essai en voiture, un autre à vélo par deux voies d’accès à partir d’Odiaxere n’ont pas été concluant : piste assez longue et peu balisée vers la fin et passages délicats en voiture.

Follow road signs from Odiaxere instead..... from Portimao Google maps routed us to impassable side roads that would task serious offroaders in Jeeps.....

Quiet, serene place with beautiful views. Very good for walking trips. The dam does not look that big, but has "tentacles" all around and I would guess a full walk around would be 8hrs+ with no facilities. We walked for 5 km and returned the same way, and then had only explored the south-east end of the dam. It was a very beautiful walk which I would highly recommend. There are a cafe at the dam, please note that it is closed in January. As for directions to the dam, do not use Google Maps to get here, but rather follow the signs from Odiaxere, it will save you 25 minutes and bad roads.

A very beautiful and quiet place. This is the unknown, fortunately, side of Algarve. One of several water dams storing water for the hot months and producing some electricity. If you visit it please keep it clean and wild as you found it.

Lovely peaceful place that's completely free. Spent about half an hour there. Easy parking and food and drink there is you are peckish. Follow signs for Barragem not Google Maps directions and cut half an hour off your journey.

Een stuwdam; altijd imponerend. Deze ligt in een schitterende omgeving. Het "Hallo Goodbye" restaurantje heeft allemaal lekkere dingen en een vriendelijke bediening. De uitstap is de moeite waard!

Seria um quase oásis, não fora estar rodeado dessa praga que são os eucaliptos. Pobre serra! Nos vales ainda se consegue ter um vislumbre do que seria a vegetação autóctone.

Barrage à voir, moins impressionnant que les barrages pyrénéen. Sentier de randonnée très praticable et vraiment pytoresque et sauvage.

Um dos sítios mais bonitos do Algarve. É óptimo para várias actividades ao ar livre e tem uma vista muito bonita. Visitem. Vale a pena.

Stausee, der sich gut zum Geocachen eignet. Gute Parkplätze an der linken (westlichen) Seite des Sees. Allerdings ist es hier oftmals deutlich windiger (kühler) als in den Städten am Meer.

Não disfrutei muito do local pois estava apenas de passagem fugindo aos caminhos mais óbvios do trajeto Lisboa - Lagos. É bem provável que ganhe mais estrelas.

Ein Stausee halt. Der Uferbereich ist steinig und unattraktiv. Drum herum Eukalyptuswälder. Auch nicht besonders hübsch. Die Umgebung ist recht hübsch.

Très bel endroit pour la vue sur ce barrage. Malheureusement souvent pollué par les ordures de CERTAINS CAMPING-CARISTES SANS SCRUPULES. Nous sommes camping-caristes, et lors de nos arrêts, nous remportons nos déchets. Un jour, nous n'aurons plus le droit de stationnement et personne ne comprendra pourquoi....
Le barrage manque énormément d'eau, on doit être à moins 7 ou moins 8 mètres de hauteur d'eau, c'est catastrophique pour le Portugal cette sécheresse quasie permanente.
Le Portugal est un très beau pays qui mérite plus de considération de la part de ceux qui y sont accueillis.

Such a natural beauty, recommend to those whom like biking and walking. The air and the scenery. Even saw a couple doing a picnic and fishing! I recommend a trip there. Although in December was pleasant. It's Algarve anyways!

Zeer mooi om te wandelen. Wel gps nodig want niets aangeduid. Wel kun je de mtb route volgen die wel gemarkeerd is maar hoelang is die? In Portugal worden wandelaars en fietsers genegeerd. Spijtig.

Beautiful place to walk and be with nature.... We took a walk through the trail along the water edge and was easily out for 3.5 hours and never got all the way around not sure how long it would take to get all the way but may be easier on a bike to complete

Je kunt er zwemmen maar is ongeveer 10-15 min lopen, voordat je via rotsen naar beneden kunt lopen om ergens te kunnen liggen. Het water is fantastisch om te zwemmen, veel vissen en we hebben zelfs een schildpad gezien. De natuur en water is prachtig!

Ist ein Stausee, sehr ruhig gelegen , Nördlich von Lagos. Leider viele Bäume abgesägt und einige Touristen müssen dummerweise immer ihren Müll liegen lassen anstatt ihn wieder mit zu nehmen. Die von der Staumauer hat man einen ganz guten Blick.

Nice place for a walk. Easy path and beautiful views. Close to Lagos, there is a parking but the restaurant is closed in Jan. There is no really a way to walk back different way unless you want to walk around the whole lake which would take really loooooong.

If you are in the area then visit it but don't travel especially to see it. It isn't that big and it was a PITA to find because mobile data coverage was very poor. The area does seem nice but we traveled to it from Mount Foia near near Monchique which really has a stunning view so this was a bit of a disappointment.

Mooi groen plekje. Bereikbaar per auto tot aan de parking en dan nog een 10 tal min. On foot.
