Have been a few times before over the years and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of dining outside but I think it has grown too big now and gone down hill We were a group of 5 adults and had booked a few weeks in advance. We were greeted enthusiastically but a table had not been reserved and were shown to the upper terrace and sat with large tables of families with young children (who as seems to be the way now were allowed to run around as they pleased as the evening progressed). Waited quite a long time to be offered drinks and for them to arrive. Good menu selection, nothing much as changed since we first started going. Starters were very disappointing....avocado was hard and chewy, portions were very small. Main courses were better but nothing special considering you are paying 30+ euro for each plate. Long waits for the waiters attention, they were very pleasant but clearly stretched too far. Waited 25 minutes for dessert to arrive. Left feeling we had paid top money for very little and very underwhelmed by the whole experience. Real shame as this was one of our favourite restaurants and we now dont expect to go back again.

A must visit when we are in the Algarve. Very attentive and friendly staff with a wonderful menu. The restaurant itself is beautiful.

Adelino and Paulo give the best welcome ever, and the highly trained staff mean you don't even notice the always excellent service. Add to the mix the amazing L.A. style ambience, the very good wine list and the very impressive Portuguese cuisine and you have the best restaurant experience in the Algarve.

Never fails to serve good food, whether in the summer in the garden or inside by the fire in the winter.

One of the best in the area. Stable high quality, warm atmosphere and very friendly owners sr. Adelino and sr. Paulo always welcomes guests. Good menu accomplished with great wine list. My favourites are cataplana as main course and crepes "Alambique style" as dessert. Not cheap, but worth it!

Restaurante com óptima relação qualidade-preço, tendo em conta o ambiente muito agradável e a qualidade das refeições que serve. Os pratos são, em geral, bem servidos, sendo que recomendo especialmente o arroz de marisco - uma dose serve perfeitamente 2 pessoas e é uma óptima escolha. As sobremesas são boas mas um pouco “pesadas”, muito doces. Os preços são, aliás, um pouco elevados. Recomendo no entanto os crepes Susete - a melhor sobremesa do restaurante. É possivelmente a melhor escolha de restaurante nesta zona (marcação obrigatória no Verão) aliando bons pratos a um ambiente fantástico.

Espaço agradável, staff simpático, comi com bom aspeto mas sem paladar requintado. Excessivamente caro para a qualidade.

Couldn’t have had a worse meal. Service was terrible where food took an hour to be served. Vegetables were cold and the fish not tasty at all. Not recommended.

After hearing reports of this Restaurant was expecting something a bit more than what was received, ambience ok, rushed staff, food ok but not on par with other Restaurants within the locality, overall pricey for average menu that I am informed has not been updated in many years, Restaurant in early years may have received good reviews but personally the owner has made it too big and wishes only to impress a certain customer, I’m afraid won’t be returning.

Whilst the ratings and actual surroundings would give the impression of a first class restaurant the actual meal was quite disappointing. From the amuse right through to our main course it was a incoherent combination of very average dishes. Considering the reputation, the price level and the very good other restaurants in the area our expectations were high but unfortunately, we left very disappointed. Staff were courteous but impersonal and seemed quite rushed at times. When asked if we enjoyed our meal we made it clear it was ok but not impressed the only thing the waiter could tell us was what to order the next time instead ... Sorry but there won’t be a next time

I visited this restaurant with my family and friends for our last night in Portugal. We arrived at 8.30 as booked - shown to a table and then it took over an hour for our first drinks to arrive, and over 2 hours for the first course (which had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp as it was dry), but only after I had complained to the Manager and Owner (part) - we finally left at 11.30 - 315 euro lighter and feeling totally miserable. As I complained to the Owner - if you dont have enough staff please dont take a booking - his answer was to offer us a free bottle of wine in compensation which we refused (fyi a bottle of wine really does not make up for ripping people off). I understand the restaurant maybe part owned by a celebrity who sometimes extols its virtues on the radio - maybe his family can get served by we could not.

Restaurante incrível, com empregados bastante simpáticos e qualificados para o trabalho. Para além da comida ser magnifica as bebidas são maravilhosas e a barman é muito simpática e boa no que faz. 5 estelas para a barman e para todo o restaurante.

Nous voulions aller chez leur voisin étoilé mais il était fermé. Les avis nous ont décidé à essayer ce restaurant ... nous avons regretté !!! Près d une heure pour que l on vienne prendre notre commande, prise parce que nous nous sommes levés pour partir Très très cher pour une cuisine banale sans aucune originalité ni dans les mets proposés ni dans la présentation Exemple d entrée : champignon a l ail a 29€ La photo parle d elle-même ! Service très moyen : ta bouteille est vide alors ils te la jettent dans la jardinière d à coté, maladrese d un serveur qui fait que l'on est arrosé de vin rouge Et j en passe ... Par contre ils ont une belle carte des vins Il y a tellement plein d autres restaurants qui valent le détour, alors passez votre chemin.

A recommander sans hésiter. Cadre, qualité des mets ainsi que personnel très attentif et duscret.

Normally this place is gr8. Unfortunately tonight it was only ok/good. We had long waits for service and did not feel we were on any staff radar. Food was good - steak very good. Desert Crepe €15 !!!!! Expensive.

Love this restaurant, the setting, the food and staff. This is always a highlight of our holiday we were there on Thursday and will be back again before our trip is over. ps my husband will not eat steak anywhere else as none compare to an Alambique steak!!

Amazing food! Great atmosphere! Staff is friendly! It feels like you are getting yourself lost driving there (at night) but it simply adds to the experience. Can't recommend just one dish as all I have had are just amazing!

Service is always so welcoming here. I do love it. The menu is varied and traditional, the decor is rustic Algarvian - which you don't see much of now in the surrounding areas! The fish is always excellent. Whether you sit inside or out it is a lovely place. The food is always so good, I love the fish here. Always good for celeb spotting too!
