Amazing fish and chips. Went as many reviews indicated the quality of service. Can not fault the service. Staff were amazing. Lovely little place. Do check out if your in the area.

Eating in was good value for money but not so good for takeaway as they concentrate on the eat in clients

Great chippy, Great portions and prices, if you like your fish in batter as I do this is the place to go, proper chips as well. THEY ALSO DO A TAKE AWAY SERVICE.

Amazing food, usually go here for lunch as its only about €10 for a good meal and a drink! So much to choose from off the menu and it's all fresh and cooked to order. Definitely one not to miss! Very friendly staff too

Drive 15 miles for fish n chips from recommends.......not open ! Website says open ! No sign saying when open ! Very disappointing

Beautiful cod fillet ,cooked to perfection , with chips and mushy peas. Lovely food in clean and friendly surroundings - at a good price.

The owners are very friendly, and the egg and bacon muffin is the best I've ever eaten. This is our 2nd time here this week. Couldn't recommend it any more highly.

When lara is there the service is good. I ate there last sunday 30th September. The food we left after us, we waited 30 min for it originally. The chief was lazy and looked like she wanted to be somewhere else. My wife and child left and I went to the counter to pay. The waiter went to the table and looked at the table of food left behind. He turned to the other customers with his hands out stretched as if we had done a runner without paying, all this time I was standing behind him. I have ate here nemurious times before and the food was good but this time everything was dripping in oil and inedible.

Love this Plaice! Really friendly family business. Great for breakfast, dinner, lunch or just a snack. We come here most mornings when in Albufeira. My favourite is the sausage and egg muffins.

What a plaice (get it?) Oh well anyway great breakfast and lunches and dinners. A home away from home where everything works well. Can't fault it it codn't (another one lol- well I think I'm funny) be better

Nice host. Had a big daddy meal, the burger was mediocre(cheese tasted plastic), coleslaw was not fresh, chips was old(possibly). But corn on the cob was amazing.

My wife and I have just spent the last 10 days here in Albuferia and have eaten at Lara's plaice on 5 occasions and would highly recommend the food and service. Fish and Real chippy chips are excellent..

Excellent. Enjoyed the haddock and chips.
Excellent tasting fish with a nice light batter. The chips are home made fresh not frozen or from a package.

OK fish & chip shop if you need Brit fix on hols. Quiet when we visited so service good, not sure how it would be when busy.

An authentic English Fish n chips shop where the fish is cooked fresh to order and the mushy peas are amazing. Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit of you're missing your tradition FnC or want to try something different whilst in Portugal.

Closed for refurb until 2 January. I agree cant review and cant wait for it to reopen to try - could not put comment on without a star rating and cannot rate what we have not tried. Perhaps should have ignored request from Google. But not everyone will use a website or Facebook to check somewhere out so thought we were just providing info for others that they must wait till January to enjoy their fish and chips.

Fab food and so fresh and clean. Been twice now and had their fish & chips. Going tonight for a t.away it's that good. Highly highly recommend it. Has to be the best around. Decent prices too.

Just visited. Went based on the good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Was served by a lovely lady who was ever so friendly...helped us get a good table in a cooler spot. Didn't have to wait long for the cod and chips which was delicious! The prices are the same as back home in England so can't grumble. Would definitely advise a visit!

Although the owners seemed pretty ... Sad? Bored? They were both on their phones so it didn't seem the most inviting place. We were hesitant to order but the prices were great and we are so glad we ordered the cod. It was fantastic. Super flakey and perfectly cooked. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a good fish and chips!!! I went and complimented who I presumed to be Lara. Hopefully she cheers up because she definitely knows how to fry up some fish and chips!

I got cod and chips take away from here and asked for a large portion to share with my sister. Asked the lady if it was big enough to share and I was told yes it is a large and she charged me €8.50. I also asked if it was fresh and was told it was, after waiting 10 minutes I received my order and left. Once I got back in my car I opened to check and found a small cod and refried stale chips which were both drenched in oil and it had already began to leak out of the take away container. By the time we got back to where we were staying my sister's hands were covered in oil which had leaked through the container and absolutely disgusting and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!!!
