A nice small restaurant with good honest food, not too expensive, and with a nice personal touch from Paulo, the owner and pastry chef..... loved the home made apple pie and the wine recommendations

Very delicious portuguese dishes. Although we did not have a reservation and fully booked they managed a small table. Very friendly, quick service and one of the best portuguese pork steak I have ever eaten. Lots of homemade desserts and reasonable prices.

We've been here so many times, the service is not the fastest but the food is very good as are the staff. Our favourite Alvor restaurant, booking is advisible.

Fabulous food and very friendly effecient service. Very good value for money. We had a 1 litre of Beautiful House White Wine and it was only €8.80. Would highly recommend.

Não gosto de locais em que mal se entra dizem que está tudo reservado, e tem 1 mesa ocupada. Absurdo. Nem dá para esperar. Parece que é para escolher só os estrangeiros. Não ponho lá os pés.

Restaurante acolhedor e agradável.
Informal e tradicional, ainda que "preso" em 1990!
Comida bem confeccionada e uma boa apresentação.
Muitas dificuldades de estacionamento num restaurante bastante "cheio/concorrido" e daí ser bastante barulhento.
Serviço lento e, apesar de simpático, também necessita "atualização".
Preços algo elevados para o serviço prestado, mas dentro do usual no Algarve em Agosto.
O vinho veio "morno".

We waited for more than an hour for 2 mains even though the restaurant was not full. They got our order wrong and than the food was mainly oil.

Dernier jour de la Sem.. un des meilleur restaurant de la Sem. Service serveurs impeccable..convivial familial restaurant déco typique . Rapport qualité très bien !

Wir haben die Cataplana gegessen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Sehr lecker, absolut frisch, große Portionen und guter Preis. Personal ist sehr höflich, noch aus der „alten Schule“. Empfehlenswertes Restaurant.

Portuguese restaurant run by a father and son with high standards of food, both seafood and meats. The duo speak excellent English are charming and helpful. It represents best value experience in Alvor.

A very popular restaurant, so be prepared for a wait! The food is excellent but maybe a little salty by our standards. Service extremely friendly, if a bit slow. Still well worth a visit.

Excelente! Guardo saudades! Os pratos de carne e de peixe são muito saborosos e bem servidos mas as sobremesas são...espetaculares! A simpatia e o bom serviço dos funcionários também é excelente! No próximo ano irei lá, se for para o Algarve, ainda mais vezes.
Este ano, 2019, não gostei tanto! Achei muito turístico, perguntavam, a todos os clientes, se tinham reservado mesa e tinham mesa disponível!!! Fomos atendidos por três funcionários diferentes! O peixe não parecia ser fresco mas a sobremesa continuava ótima! O ambiente mudou.

Sehr gutes Essen, gute Preise und sehr, sehr netter und zuvorkommender Eigentümer. Service ist auch sehr aufmerksam. Wir kennen dieses kleine Restaurant seit 15 Jahren und freuen uns jedes mal wieder dort einige Male zu Essen.

After reading reviews we went to the restaurant with high hopes, young staff friendly, but overall service was atrocious. After taking our order (4 main courses) two came out after 20 minutes and two still hadn't arrived after the others had been eaten, was told this was Portuguese law as two out of the four were children. Been going to Portugal since 1988 and never heard such rubbish before and never have I ever had this service. The two meals that arrived were dry and tasteless, would never recommend this place to eat.

I went to this place because I read good reviews about it. What a disappointment. The food is very average. I can't understand how is possible to give a higher rate than 2 , I, m very disappointed.This was also the most expensive restaurant. The service was good. Poor them because they probably aware of the tastlos food

Been to Alvor many times and have only discovered this hidden gem. Very friendly family run place. Delicious food smoked swordfish starter and veal with mushrooms and pork and clams. Food heaven. Already planning next years visit. JUST BEEN BACK IN ALVOR A YEAR ON. FOOD AND STAFF LOVELY. WE VISITED 3 TIMES. WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN WHEN NEXT IN ALVOR.

Genuine Portuguese dishes. Very tasty and very good service not only by the owner but also by the waiters. Feijoada de buzinas and Coelho à Capacho are the highlights. We've tried a non common desert called Pudim de Mel and I just have one word... TOP

The waiter is a master of his craft. Made us feel so welcome and knew the menu inside out. Very good local fish dishes like grilled John dory and salmon. Saw others get the leg of pork which looked fantastic. Cosy surroundings.
